Devout Muslims of Al Qaeda calling for car bomb attacks on American soil

 Pamela Geller/ Atlas Shrugs

This is going to happen sooner or later. When it does, it will be the fruit of the demonization and marginalization of every counter-jihad activist who tried to warn about these things, and to head off the willful ignorance that now dominates the Obama Administration’s response to the jihad. A jihad car bomb will go off in American mall — but at least there wasn’t any outbreak of “islamophobia.”
“Al Qaeda calling for car bomb attacks on American soil, KUSI News, May 8, 2014 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
The report begins in the streets of Baghdad. As two army soldiers drive through Baghdad in a convoy headed for the green zone, a car bomb explosion is caught on tape. Fearing another car bomb could go off soon, which so often happens, the soldiers make a run for the safety of the green zone – when they’re out of harm’s way, they say:
“Well, that’s better than a cup of coffee in the morning…”
It is a truly chilling event in an urban setting where there are so many people. But if Al Qaeda has its way, the same scenario will play out in American urban areas. In a recent issue of Inspire Magazine, regarded as the Vanity Fair of Al Qaeda, Al Qaeda calls for Jihad car bomb attacks on certain American cities – including Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C., New York and northern Virginia where the CIA is headquartered. Ron Bee is a former State Department and Pentagon employee and was asked what would happen if a car bomb were to go off at a major American shopping mall, and what would be the impact on the American economy?
“People would stay home, they wouldn’t go
to the malls. They’d go home to wait to hear that (all was OK)… we all know what happened after 9/11: everybody stayed home. They didn’t go shopping. They didn’t fly.
The airlines went under, so it could have a major impact.”
The article makes reference to Fiesal Shahzads, the Times Square bomber whose bomb was discovered and subsequently diffused. Al Qaeda says:
“Many Fiesal Shahzads are residing inside America and all they need is the knowledge of how to make car bombs… and the good news is it can be prepared in a home kitchen.”
“That’s true. A lot of things are on the internet and the folks in Boston learn how to make their bombs off the internet and in magazines like Inspire, which is the same magazine that’s advertising home-grown terrorism here in the United States. So, it’s possibly to do, but at the same time, we have a very diligent Home Land Security squad FBI that’s keeping track.”
Al Qaeda makes requests: “the important thing is that you target people and not buildings.”
“That’s what terrorists do: terrorists have a political cause and they kill innocent people.
That’s Al Qaeda. So of course that’s what they’re going to say, and it also gets our attention when it’s a bombing that kills innocent people because they usually have nothing to do with any political cause.”
Al Qaeda continues: “the American government was unable to protect it’s citizens from pressure cooker bombs in backpacks. I wonder if they are able to stop car bombs.”
“We’ve always worried about this sort of attack, ever since coming to the United States, and now Al Qaeda is saying that home-grown terrorists should conduct those sorts of attacks. This is, I think, the response in the up-tick in attacks against Al Qaeda in places like Yemen, with drones in a variety of places around the world including Africa. We’re soon going to see some activity in Nigeria; the idea here is they’re trying to hit back at us in retaliation.”
But there are some who say Al Qaeda’s call for car bomb attacks in American cities is a sign of desperation – that the terrorist organization is on the ropes.
“You can read this a couple of ways,” said John Miller of NYPD Intelligence. “One way you can read Inspire Magazine is it is some kind of sign of failure, Al Qaeda central has diminished to the point that it has to put out this wide net and say ‘can anybody do anything? Because as an organization, we’re not effective that way.’”
The thought of car bomb attacks that happen in Iraq happening in America is truly disturbing. The hope is that those bombers will think twice before taking on America.

Pelosi: We Won't Be Sending Democrats to Benghazi Select Committee Because Fairness Katie Pavlich / Townhall Tipsheet

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to Speaker John Boehner this afternoon saying she would not be sending any Democrats to sit on the Benghazi select committee because it "isn't fair," or something. More from the Washington Examiner:
Democrats say they are concerned it will not allow their party to participate fairly in the investigation, which will involve subpoenas and viewing of classified materials related to the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

According to a Democratic leadership aide, Pelosi rejects a rule that will not prevent chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., from issuing unilateral subpoenas without consulting with Democrats. The rules would also allow Republicans to prevent Democrats from interviewing witnesses.

Democrats say they do not want a repeat of the investigation conducted by the House Oversight panel, headed by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., which they believed was highly politicized: “Regrettably, the proposal does not prevent the unacceptable and repeated abuses committed by Chairman Issa in any meaningful way, and we find it fundamentally unfair.”
When should we call the waaambulance? Like I wrote yesterday, get ready for more temper tantrums from Democrats on this issue. This is only the beginning. The good news is Republicans are moving forward without her, as they should.
As Obama kicks off his “You're Too Stupid to Understand” campaign tour, I’d like to make the following observation as a public service reminder: It's not that Obama started believing his press clippings; it's that Obama never for a moment doubted his press clippings.

Generally, buying into the fables that the press tells about you-- both good and bad-- is a loser's proposition, especially in politics.

Because when reality bumps up against the storyline, the storyline is unsustainable.

The government lied about Vietnam.

Bill Clinton lied about the Bible: oral sex, it turns out, is still sex.

We’re losing the war on terror.
And finally, Obama is neither the great genius, constitutional lawgiver and Savior of the Democrats nor is he the maniacal mastermind of socialist America, the lead miner and sapper of capitalism.

The truth is that Barack Obama is a middling politician, with an outsized ego-- just like most of them—who has very little experience in the real world and the unfortunate disadvantage of having a static worldview.

When reality bumps up against his worldview, say goodbye to reality.

Sure, the dude's a socialist.

But that's not his defining personal characteristic.

His defining personal characteristic is incompetence, combined with a self-centeredness that prevents him from seeing past his own navel.

And because nobody in his own party-- and amongst his own press service, and amongst his own race-- can tell the truth about his incompetence, they've engaged in a years-long attempt to make policy fit into the Alice in Wonderland reality that Obama lives in.

Writes Tim Cavanuagh at NRO about a recent Left Coast fundraising speech by the One:

“You get a self-fulfilling prophecy,” the president told supporters, urging them to help Democrats avoid potentially significant losses in both houses of Congress in the November midterm elections.

“The people who have the most at stake in a government that works opt out of the system. People who believe government doesn’t work are most empowered. Gridlock reigns and we get the downward spiral of even more cynicism.”

Um, Mr. President?

It wasn't so much that people “opted out” of the system.

The system hasn’t worked for them.

That's what happens when $5 trillion worth of extraordinary spending goes everywhere except the places it's most needed.

How do you spend $5 trillion and not even marginally help the very people that you say you care about the most?

“Blacks disproportionately left the labor market,” Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research, a liberal economic outfit, said in January “with the labor force participation rate for African Americans dropping by 0.3 percentage points to 60.2 percent, it’s lowest rate since December of 1977. The rate for African American men fell 0.7 percent to 65.6 percent, the lowest on record.”

Whoever else Obama may have benefited, it’s clear that black communities haven’t been high on the priority list for him.

Black unemployment at 11.6% remains double what the national average is at 6.3%.

But that doesn't tell the whole story.

Because unemployment for racial groups beside blacks is at 5.8%, or what the Federal Reserve Bank defines as full employment these days.

$5 trillion for Wall Street, but not one dollar for African-Americans?

“The White House is carving out a role for President Barack Obama in this fall's midterm elections,” reports the Wall Street Journal without irony, “which he will try to pose as a choice between the parties' economic visions while targeting appeals to African-Americans, young voters and others in his coalition.”

Obama is targeting the very voters he complains have opted out of the system.

It’s takes a special brand of incompetence-- combined with navel gazing so intense that no one else is visible-- to go back to those groups again to carry policies that haven’t worked for them.

Because these people haven’t opted out of the system so much as Obama himself has kicked them out of the system.

While incompetence is Obama’s most defining personal characteristic, hypocrisy is his most defining political characteristic.

And he thinks people, “his people,” are too stupid to see it.

Reports: More Obamacare Cancellations, Premium Hikes On the Way

The Obamacare "winning streak" continues apace. Kaiser Health News reports on the increasing likelihood of more and more large employers dumping employees into Obamacare's exchanges. An untold number of employees will discover that they can't keep their plan, especially if they're a high-risk, high-cost employee. The Obama administration estimated that as many as 93 million Americans will lose their existing coverage under the new law, despite what the president promised repeatedly. We wrote about "targeted dumping" back in 2011. Those concerns are now being realized:
Can corporations shift workers with high medical costs from the company health plan into online insurance exchanges created by the Affordable Care Act? Some employers are considering it, say benefits consultants. “It’s all over the marketplace,” said Todd Yates, a managing partner at Hill, Chesson & Woody, a North Carolina benefits consulting firm. “Employers are inquiring about it and brokers and consultants are advocating for it.” Patients with preexisting medical conditions like diabetes drive health spending. But those who undergo expensive procedures such as organ transplants are a burden to the company as well. Since most big corporations are self-insured, shifting even one high-cost member out of the company plan could save the employer hundreds of thousands of dollars a year—while increasing the cost of claims absorbed by the marketplace policy by a similar amount. And the health law might not prohibit it, opening a door to potential erosion of employer-based coverage.
The workers most likely to be subjected to this strategic abandonment are older and sickerindividuals; in other words, they come with the highest price tag from an insurer's perspective. How might an influx of that sort of consumer into the Obamacare exchanges impact premiums? More stories like this, perhaps?

There's a reason why insurers are pleading with the White House to reject regulations that would limit total expenditures in programs some have described as bailouts. Whether through bailout-style payments or sharply increased premiums, taxpayers will end up footing the bill for rising costs and outlays. Americans are already bracing for significant premium hikes heading into 2015, which have been forecast by insurance companies, brokers, and even the administration. Many of the new rates will be announced this fall. More consumers will also receive cancellation notices informing them that their preferred plans are being terminated.

Public opinion on Obamacare hasn't budged, with polling remaining ugly on both the national level and within the context of key 2014 races. I'll leave you with this surreal request from the state of Massachusetts, which is scrapping its failed Obamacare exchange. Surprise -- they want more taxpayer money to do so. A lot more. And that's on top of the huge sum they've already wasted: http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2014/05/09/reports-more-obamacare-cancellations-premium-hikes-on-the-way-n1836066

MANHATTAN radical Islamic cleric tries to sanitize 9/11 Muslim terrorists by slandering Jews                                                                                                 From Bare Naked Islam

A Muslim religious leader who helped spearhead a push to get the National September 11 Memorial Museum to censor references to Islam and jihad in a short film about al-Qaeda has said Jews “killed the Prophets and Messengers” and are a “cancer … in every generation as they get in power.”

Sheik Mustafa Elazabawy

Algemeiner  Mustafa Elazabawy, imam at Masjid Manhattan, made the remarks in a December 2008 khutbah, or sermon, called “Children of Israel.” A recording of the sermon remains on the mosque’s website.

Elazabawy wrote a letter to museum leadership last month, complaining that the 7-minute film about al-Qaeda’s rise “would greatly offend our local Muslim believers as well as any foreign Muslim visitor to the museum,” if it is not changed. “Unsophisticated visitors who do not understand the difference between Al Qaeda and Muslims may come away with a prejudiced view of Islam, leading to antagonism and even confrontation toward Muslim believers near the site.”

He also joined in a follow-up complaint sent to museum Director Alice Greenwald on behalf of New York Disaster Interfaith Services’ advisory group. Critics have taken issue with the film’s references to “jihad” and the hijackers’ Islamist ideology.

Similar complaints were issued by Islamist groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).
