Republicans, I'm told, were elected to Congress by the people, and yet they've done absolutely nothing. This indictment has now mutated into "Republicans gave President Obama everything he wanted," i.e., the GOP and Obama were basically colluding against the American voter this whole time.

Republicans have been dreadful on plenty of fronts -- the quality of their advocacy, the spine they show making arguments and the lack of innovation and malleability in the focus of their policies, to name a very few -- but resistance to Obama's legislative agenda was definitely not one of them. If Republicans had capitulated in the way the average angry populist claims, Obama would not have needed to enact some of the most consequential abuses of executive power since World War II.

Some of this anger is propelled by false expectations and wishful thinking about how government works -- which is to say, when voters don't get what they want they assume the system has failed. On one hand, voters are under the impression that presidents should be able to craft law and policy and make everything great again; and on the other, they are angered about the ineffectiveness of the legislative branch. It all depends on which of these corresponds with their own political affiliation.

As far as expectations go, Republicans deserve blame for making promises they couldn't possibly fulfill -- including the notion that they could repeal Obamacare. Then again, overpromising is not exactly a new political trend. And it's not as if voters flock to candidates who tell them unvarnished facts about this cruel world of ours.

Yesterday’s papers came with a slew of depressing headlines.

“Earning Skid is Worse Since Crisis,” said the front page of the Wall Street Journal.

“Hiring Rises: Output Lags. It’s a Mystery,” said the front page of The New York Times.

“White House struggles to explain weak economy…” said the Drudge Report, followed by “First President Not To See Single Year 3% growth…”

“Warning signs are surfacing: Temp job numbers can indicate a recession is around the corner,” said Bloomberg news.

There is no doubt that our recovery from the Great Recession has been the slowest recovery in more than half a century. But why is that? Surely part of the reason is that the Obama administration has been more hostile to private sector job creators than any president in memory.

Virtually every program the president has proposed reduces the reward from working, saving and investing -- from higher taxes to more regulations to more public policy uncertainty.

Take regulations. A new report from the Mercatus Center estimates that the growth of government regulation between 1977 and 2012 has shaved about 0.8 percent off the rate of growth, costing $4 trillion worth of GDP. And Obama has been the worst regulatory president in modern times – often appearing to exceed his constitutional authority in efforts to impose more and more burdens on US companies. President Obama, for example, has imposed twice as many new major regulations as President Bush.

Kansas DEFIES Obama on Syrian Refugees

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

brownbeckWe should all defy Obama on his invasion plot in order to “protect the safety and security interests of” all Americans.

Kansas Governor Brownback and several other governors asked the White House in November of last year to share vetting information as President Obama pledged to take in 10,000 Syrian refugees. The administration refused to do so, citing the privacy rights of the refugees.

“Kansas Defies Obama on Syrian Refugees,” By Steve Byas, The New American, April, 29, 2016:

Led by Governor Sam Brownback (shown), the state of Kansas informed the Obama administration this week that it is defying its dictates for Kansas to cooperate in the resettlement of refugees from Syria. In a letter to Robert Carey, director...

New Indiana Poll: Cruz Up by 16 Points Over Trump
By Todd Beamon / NEWSMAX
Image: New Indiana Poll: Cruz Up by 16 Points Over TrumpA third poll was released Friday gauging Indiana voters ahead of the state's primaries on Tuesday — but this one shows Ted Cruz holding a commanding double-digit lead over Donald Trump among Republicans.

Here are the results of the poll of 400 likely GOP voters by the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics at Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne:
  • Cruz: 45 percent.
  • Trump: 29 percent.
  • John Kasich: 13 percent.
The Downs Center's poll comes after one showed Trump ahead of the Texas senator by 9 points — and another putting the candidates in a virtual dead heat — among Hoosier State voters.

The Downs Center poll was reported by The Tribune-Star in Terre Haute.

In explaining its results, the center said that 2016 was "quite a departure with competition in both presidential primaries, including a neighboring state's governor swapping states with a competitor a week prior to voting, a vice presidential candidate nomination, and presidential candidates from both sides sweeping through the state.

Further, "the Republican primary electorate remains relatively open to changing their vote with one-sixth of Cruz supporters, three in 10 Trump supporters and over 43 percent of Kasich supporters saying their preference for their candidate is not strong," the center said.

The Downs Center also surveyed 400 likely Democrats. Here are those results:
  • Hillary Clinton: 55 percent.
  • Bernie Sanders: 40 percent.
"While Clinton may have a lead, it should be remembered that Sanders has closed substantial leads in other states such as neighboring Michigan," the analysis said. "With this in mind, Clinton's support is stronger than Sanders' support at this time."

Can you imagine a Carly Fiorina vs Elizabeth Warren debate?

Former presidential candidate Carly Fiorina was a good choice for Sen. Cruz's vice presidential pick, if for no other reason than to steal Trump's thunder after a five state sweep across the Northeast Tuesday night. Not to mention his subsequent foreign policy speech on Wednesday that was totally drowned out by the announcement of a Cruz-Fiorina ticket. Having said that, only time will tell if she was the best choice.

Strategically speaking, Ted Cruz has been a step behind GOP frontrunner Donald Trump's messaging and media campaign. The Texas senator would've been wise to announce his VP pick Sunday evening, rather than the alliance he formed with Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who agreed -at least for a couple of hrs, to back out of the Indiana primary, while Cruz agreed to back out of the New Mexico and Oregon primaries to benefit the Kasich campaign. This alliance played right into Trump's narrative that the establishment was colluding against him. The strategy backfired and likely cost Cruz delegates in Pennsylvania. So why choose Fiorina now, and will it matter? Here are the reasons why it could:

1) Female box checked: Is this political? Of course it is, and who cares? When you're running for office, trying to get an advantage over your opponent is no different than a store clerk trying to out-work his or her peer to get a promotion. I hate gender politics! But, if you're going to play them, Carly is the right choice. She's been a successful business woman, and a devoted wife and mother. No doubt she'll appeal to a broader constituency than Ted Cruz can.

Donald Trump Isn't the 'Presumptive Nominee' -- Not Yet, Anyway
Not quite. Trump's 40 percent of total primary votes so far have yielded him 48 percent of pledged delegates -- not exactly the unfair system he's been decrying. He must win about 56 percent of those yet to be chosen to get to the 1,237 majority necessary for the nomination.

There are signs in the Northeastern primary results that he may get there. For the first time, he significantly outperformed his poll showings. For the first time, he got more than 50 percent of the vote (he came closest earlier in Massachusetts, with 49 percent).

But turnout in these primaries hovered around just 10 percent of eligible voters, lower than in any other state but Louisiana. That's partly because registered Republicans are scarce on the ground in the Northeast: 37 percent of registered voters in Pennsylvania, between 21 and 29 percent in the other closed primary states. Not coincidentally, none except Pennsylvania has come close to voting for a Republican presidential nominee in recent years.

National Intelligence Director Clapper: Islamic State Exploiting Migrant Crisis In Europe

Pamela Geller / Atlas Shrugs

Obama-Clapper-02What was his first clue? They’ve been exploiting it for months. Back in February 2015, the Islamic State vowed to flood Europe with 500,000 refugees. Only now he is waking up to the crisis? And what is he doing about it? Has he persuaded Obama not to bring the “refugees” here in massive numbers? Of course not.

And Obama is plotting with the UN to bring a quarter of a million of these soldiers to the USA.

National Intelligence Director James Clapper says Islamic State training camps currently exist in European countries and that terrorists are exploiting the migrant crisis...

Why No Blog Entries
By: Diane Sori

Over the past two weeks or so I have received numerous messages and emails from people wondering why I have not posted any blog entries, if I am in FB jail yet again, or if I have somehow suddenly lost the will to fight for our country anymore...so now I will break one of my cardinal rules about never posting personal information.

Just a few days ago my precious mother lost her 40+ year battle with Parkinson's disease...the same disease that Michael J. Fox is battling and one which he too shall lose for there is no cure.

Diagnosed young like Michael J. Fox, my mother's Parkinson's progressed ever so slowly at first... barely noticeable in fact...and turned into the most vicious of killers in the end...a death I pray you my blog followers never have to see. And sadly, all diagnosed with Parkinson's face the same hell my mother and family just went through.

So now just having laid my mom to rest, know I will be back as soon as I can for it's what my mother wanted...like the rest of us she wanted our country back and she wanted me to continue on in that fight.

Rest in Everlasting Peace 'mommy'...you fought hard in a battle you could not win...but you are finally free as heaven just got another angel.

Iran is searching for technology to produce Octogen which can be employed as part of the detonator in an atomic bomb, according to Times of Israel.

But do not worry, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said the Octogen would only be used in conventional weapons for "destructive and penetration power.”
During a ceremony to inaugurate a Octogen production plant, Dehqan stressed Iran’s goal of gaining the know-how to make the explosive material in order to avoid relying on external sources.
“Concurrently with its efforts to increase the precision-striking power of its weapons systems, the Defense Ministry has also paid attention to boosting the destructive and penetration power of different weapons’ warheads and has put on its agenda the acquisition of the technical know-how to produce Octogen explosive materials and Octogen-based weapons,” he said, according to a report from the semi-official FARS news agency.
Dehqan wants the U.S. to allow Iran more flexibility in their own research capabilities.  “We should endeavor to reinvigorate our infrastructures in the defense industries, reduce dependence and use domestic industries,” he said.

"We should strengthen ourselves to the level that we can prevent failure and acquire victory over our enemies."

In the past week alone, the United States has received threats from Iranian generals, seized Iranian rockets and weapons headed to Yemen, been threatened repeatedly by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and ordered the withdrawal of military families out of Turkey.

So the question still remains, are we winning or losing in the Middle East?

It's been a rough welcome in the Empire State for Ted Cruz as the GOP candidate rolls across New York ahead of the primary contest on April 19. The New York Daily News is reminding voters of Cruz's "New York values" comments, Cruz had to cancel an event at a Bronx high school yesterday and only a few people showed up to a rally he hosted in the borough. Currently he's trailing behind Trump and Kasich in polling.

But all of this bad news isn't stopping Cruz from trying after winning Wisconsin. In fact, he's managed to score a meeting with former New York City Mayor and long time Trump friend and backer Rudy Giuliani.

According to POLITICO the meeting isn't simply about making the rounds with New York's locals, but instead is an attempt to get Giuliani to reconsider his endorsement of Trump.
The meeting could signal a significant shift: Trump had in February said Giuliani was acting as an informal adviser to him, and Giuliani had spoken favorably of him publicly several times, including at an event in Peoria, Illinois, when he alluded to the billionaire developer’s slogan, saying, “I hope you’ll look for a candidate who can set a direction for this country that one, talks about how great they are, a lot.”

But with the New York primary looming April 19, the former New York mayor and 2008 presidential candidate seems to be having second thoughts. He’ll meet with the Texas senator, who’ll need to pull off a significant upset to be able to beat Trump in his home state and to rack up the delegates to force a brokered convention in Cleveland, where he’d hope to come out on top with the nomination.
Regardless of endorsements, Trump is expected to win New York by a significant margin, but considering Cruz has two weeks to campaign and convince voters he's the better choice, anything can happen.

CNS' Jeffrey: Obama Aims to Grant Federal Benefits to Illegal Immigrants

By Sandy Fitzgerald / NEWSMAX

President Barack Obama says he has the power to allow illegal immigrants to be eligible for federal benefits through the guise of "prosecutorial discretion," and that he will not enforce the law against them for being in the country, CNS News Editor-in-Chief Terence Jeffrey says in an editorial.
Solicitor General Donald Verrilli plans to use that argument before the Supreme Court, where he will argue that Obama "can make millions of people in this country illegally eligible for Social Security, disability and Medicare," Jeffrey writes in the Wednesday piece.

The court will hear the arguments in a case filed by Texas and other states that complains the administration's Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents program, or DAPA, goes against Congress' framework that determines who may enter and stay in the country.

And in the Obama administration's response, Verrilli says DAPA would legalize immigrants, and that the administration can remove them from the United States "at any time." But still, he said the administration can allow people to stay under a "deferred" status.

While Verrilli says the deferred action status makes an illegal immigrant ineligible for federal public benefit programs, they are still eligible for "earned-benefit" programs like Social Security and Medicare.

Meanwhile, since such immigrants are not given lawful immigration status and can be removed at any time, that puts Obama in violation of breaking a Constitutional law that requires he "take care that the laws be faithfully executed," Jeffrey writes.
"The Obama administration has taken care of just one thing here: It has constructed a convoluted — and unconvincing argument — it hopes will provide the activists on the Supreme Court with a cover story to explain why this president need not faithfully execute the nation's immigration laws," Jeffrey concluded.

Trump’s Liberal Agenda, Money Trail – Part 1 of 2

By Craig Andresen Right Side Patriots http://www.americanpbn.com/

fac 1Facts are foreign to Trumpers as they continue to ignore them one after the other as they pertain to the true nature of their one and only candidate. Low-information voters are one thing but screw-the-facts to preserve a blind following voters are something else entirely.

It has been more than interesting, and quite telling, to watch as his Trumpness’s blind followers excuse one thing after another like their candidate’s position on abortion. When confronted with video of Trump making his pro-choice agenda known, Trumpers excuse it because it was “so long ago it is no longer relevant” and besides, they claim, he’s changed…evolved.

Then they ignore completely his stand on the topic from just 2 years ago when he again made his true liberal agenda known by tweeting…”7 months, 8 months, 9 months pregnant, it doesn’t matter. Women should have the choice to abortion.”

Just last Wednesday, the Trumpers darling candidate advocated for punishments of any women who get abortions if abortions are made illegal but that men should not be held in any way responsible.  His Trumpness was quite clear on the subject even after further questioning by Chris Matthews…

Hillary's Losing It: Sanders Gets Under Her Skin About Energy Co. $$$$
By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN / TheHillaryDaily.com

Bernie Sanders is driving Hillary crazy. He won't go away. And he has the nerve to criticize her record on taking money from fossil fuel companies.

How dare he!

Last week, she lost it when a Greenpeace advocate asked whether she would refuse campaign contributions from energy companies. Her mirthless smile morphed into a snarl as she became visibly angry, raising her voice and jabbing her finger in the young woman's face.

"I am sick and tired of the Sanders campaign lying about me. I'm sick of it."

Hillary angrily insisted that she didn't take money from the oil and gas industry, just from people who work for them. That's not true.

EARTH TO HILLARY: That's how corporations make campaign contributions.

The fact is that Hillary and Bill and the Clinton Foundation have benefited from almost $400 MILLION from the energy industry.

The total of her payments from oil, gas, and mining interests to her Senate and Presidential campaigns, along with the speaking fees paid to her and Bill, and donations to the Clinton Foundation have netted the Clintons over $325 MILLION. If you add on speaking fees and donations by oil-producing Middle Eastern countries, the total is between $368 and $398 MILLION (Those countries include Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Brunei, Oman, and Kuwait). That's almost $400 million.

Saturday, April 2, 2016

It’s Ted Cruz’s “time to shine,” pundits are saying this week. While Donald Trump is being battered by a merciless media and critics both left and right for his controversial abortion remarks, Cruz is running away from his competitors in Wisconsin primary polls. Meanwhile, the Democratic race is becoming less and less civil as Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders feel the tension of a narrowing contest.

Republican Primary

Donald Trump: Trump had an impromptu meeting with leaders at the RNC Thursday afternoon, where they reportedly discussed the need for Republican unity. Party leaders have apparently threatened to rescind the 50 delegates Trump picked up in South Carolina for breaking the GOP loyalty pledge he signed in the fall. Meanwhile, Trump’s unfavorable ratings are on full display in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. Over 50 percent of each demographic gave him an unflattering review. Perhaps most striking is that seven in 10 female voters have an unfavorable opinion of him. He's running in a distant second in the Wisconsin primary, but has a pretty commanding lead in New York.

Ted Cruz: Cruz is still full speed ahead in Wisconsin. The latest polls have him 10 points ahead of Trump. This week, the Texas senator warned the RNC that it would be a “terrible idea” for Washington officials to change convention rules, because voters would “revolt.” As of now, the guidelines insist the eventual nominee must have won at least eight contests. Only Cruz and Trump meet that threshold.

John Kasich: Kasich is rebuking a Super PAC ad that calls Ted Cruz “lyin’ Ted,” which is Trump’s favorite nickname for the Texas senator. The PAC, which supports Kasich, was asked to take down the spot. Yet, that doesn’t mean the Ohio governor is ready to make nice with Cruz. He accused the senator of having “no record” to run on, while insisting Trump is “not prepared” to be president.

Op-ed;
Israel Turns Her Back On Obama...and Rightly So
By: Diane Sori /The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on www.americanpbn.com

"I welcome the opening of free trade agreement talks with China... exports, trade and the economy will all benefit....and can produce huge results, and we believe that Israel can be the perfect partner."                                 - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Thanks to Obama and his hate for Israel, Jews in general, and Benjamin Netanyahu in specific, the tiny Jewish State of Israel is basically left to fend for itself both militarily and economically...at least for the moment. And to make matters worse, now with a wink and a nod from Obama, Israel has been named by the U.N...the U(seless) N(ations) as I call them...the most evil and vile country in the world today.

And how so...

First, the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) this week condemned the Jewish state alone for (supposedly) violating the rights of Palestinian women; and then the U.N. Human Rights Council condemned Israel five times more than any of the other 192 U.N. member nations for said human rights violations...more than Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, China, or any other Middle East or Asian cesspools of countries that treat women like slaves, chattel, and second class citizens.

And one of the Council resolutions put into place strictly to add insult to injury is to target and expose companies that do business with Israel and then order them to 'cease and desist'... actually putting in place sanctions via condemnation of sort against those companies who refuse to their bidding. And what's worse is that it will be the Israel-hating U.N. alone that gets to decide which companies are engaged in what they believe are business “practices that disadvantage Palestinian enterprises.”

But what pray tell are 'Palestinian enterprises' as per the U.N. definition...nothing I know of except for the production of suicide bombers and explosives.

And now the U.N.'s long history of animosity towards Israel has spread to the U.S...all while Israel questions the European Union's placating policy toward the Palestinians while they, the EU, have actually started labeling and boycotting products made by Israeli settlements in the (rightfully) occupied territories. And Israel must now also be concerned about anti-Jewish so-called...by the media...'incidents' occurring throughout Europe that seem to be working in tandem with the resurgence of violent anti-Semitic acts...acts for example like last year's islamist attack on a Paris kosher deli. And sadly, some in the U.S. have bought into the U.N. propaganda and joined in the movement to boycott Israeli goods, and does so as Obama looks away...with a smile on his face of course, and with a 'figurative' knife in his hand ready to dig deep into Israel's back...for Obama hopes that an economic choking...if you will...of Israel's economy can do what no nation to date has been able to do militarily...that is to bring Israel to her knees in utter surrender and capitulation.

But know well that is something Benjamin Netanyahu will not ever allow to happen, as he has planned wisely for this very scenario that he knew was coming, so wisely in fact that he recently met with the Vice Premier of China, Liu Yandong, who said that this particular visit is “a very important mission.”

Coming to Israel specifically to co-chair with Netanyahu the 'Second Annual China-Israel Committee for Cooperation and Innovation' as well to sign 13 important co-operation agreements...agreements on education, agriculture, health care, energy and water development, science and technology, intellectual property, and the exchange of human resources, amongst other things...Liu Yandong and Netanyahu together at a joint press conference announced for all the world to hear the opening of 'free-trade agreement' talks between the two nations...talks that should hopefully become a working reality in just one short year.

And you can bet that its been Barack HUSSEIN Obama's traitorous actions towards Israel that have led her to go elsewhere.

So as trade between the U.S. and Israel not just slows but actually decreases in scope to some degree under Obama's hostile administration, and as Netanyahu knows that China stands to economically lose big if Donald Trump wins the presidency, trade between Israel and China (rightfully) grows and will continue to grow rapidly, potentially doubling the trade between the two countries, which now stands at around eight billion dollars per year, bringing it up to around 16 billion dollars per year. And this in turn will increase the GDP in both countries by encouraging increased investment and upping bilateral relations.

And BiBi wants this agreement to help aid in diversifying Israel's commercial and economic ties worldwide, thus helping Israel to cut back on her dependency on European goods and services as Europe is currently their biggest trading partner yet not the most friendly to them.

“China takes Israel very seriously,” were the words said by Liu Yandong, who spoke ever so fondly of her previous 2014 visit to Israel. Telling the committee that she had been “deeply impressed” by Israel’s social and economic achievements and the goodwill of the people of Israel towards China, Liu Yandong laid the groundwork for a partnership that has completely caught Obama off guard.

And that is a good thing...a very good thing.

And with Liu Yandong graciously praising both Israel's innovation and Israel's people, here are some facts that might surprise some, but know that the only true democracy in the entire Middle East region will most assuredly survive no matter that once 'so-called' friends are now turning away. Fact one: in 2009, China was Israel's 11th-largest foreign market, but by 2012 China became Israel's second largest market after only the U.S. Fact two: after Netanyahu's visit to China last May, plans were put in place to expand ties between the two countries, including to 'up' Israel's annual trade with China from a bilateral volume of US$8 billion in 2012 to US$10 billion within the next six years. Fact three: the two countries hope to form strong cooperation ties in regards to the high technology sectors which includes the military sector; to jointly construct industrial parks and technology transfer centers; and to increase agricultural cooperation between the two countries...a most important area for China with its having to feed roughly 1.4 billion people. Fact four: while Israel’s population of eight million is a relatively 'small market' numbers wise, China views Israel as a very important source of technology more so than an export destination, and this serves both countries well.

Now it also must be noted that while 'free-trade agreements' usually lower tariffs on imported goods, Israel's main industrial markets are overseas, so lowering tariffs on Chinese imports will not negatively or greatly affect the buyers of Israeli goods. “Israeli industry in general is a free trader, and I think that the notion among industrialists is that as long as it’s free trade that’s on a mutual basis and we have the opportunity to export our products to China, then it’s a fair deal,” were the rightful words said by Ohad Cohen, head of Israel's Foreign Trade Administration (FTA). And with Israel's unemployment rate staying steady at 5.3%, the fear of losing jobs to China means less to Israeli's then it might to others as Israeli's are more worried and concerned about the current high prices of goods, and they know that a deal with China would result in prices coming down...a winning situation as far as Israeli's are concerned.

So what does an China-Israel 'free-trade agreement' actually mean in regards to Israeli exports to China and Chinese imports into Israel...first, as trade barriers between the two countries are removed, restrictions on importing and exporting goods and services currently affected by tariffs, taxes, as well as by import quotas are greatly eased making said goods and services flow more easily between the two countries. Second, an China-Israel 'free trade agreement' would create efficiency in the actual pricing of goods and services. Third, as the Chinese people demand more high-end products, Israeli companies can answer that demand as Israel has a worldwide reputation for providing high value products and services. Fourth, with China's one-child rule now relaxed, China needs products and services that will improve the quality of life for their now aging population. And while Israeli technology would help China with this, Israel wins as well as Israeli health care technology companies get to access a new market estimated to include 500 million potential customers.

And lastly, with the Israeli market itself small and dependent on exports for future growth, removing barriers on exports to China opens up a major market for Israeli companies in general, which in turn creates an incentive for said companies to produce and export more, thus creating more jobs for Israeli workers, increasing the export capacity and competitiveness of both economies.

And what is the negative of such an agreement between Israel and China...honestly there really is none for the biggest opposition to such deals in general is the aforementioned one not feared by Israelis...the creating of a apprehension on the part of workers who believe their country...in this case Israel...is giving foreign producers...as in China...the advantage as its costing domestic jobs. But the biggest plus as I see it is that with Israel being in negotiations with China...an enemy of the U.S...Benjamin Netanyahu has now publicly turned his and Israel's back on Obama as the world watches Obama cringe.

Sometimes payback is indeed a bitch...and in this case rightly so.
