...Also, in the UN's failing to abide by their aforementioned founding principle, we find the world today so far away from “universal peace” that we are actually skirting on the precipice of World War III. And with the UN having done nothing of substance to help defuse what are dangerous regional conflicts, it's my opinion that the UN's upcoming September meeting regarding Palestinian statehood actually fuels the flames that are the fires of war.

A few years ago former UN Ambassador, South Carolina Governor, and 2020 Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley stated that, “When the United Nations consistently fails in its duty to act collectively, there are times in the life of states that we are compelled to take our own action.”

And take our own actions we should if for no other reason than the monies we give to help fund the UN is disproportionately out of line with what our fellow member nations contribute. Remember, the U.S. has and remains the UN's largest financial contributor, and has been so since its founding in 1945. In fact, in 2023...Read entire article here.

Trump calls White House talks 'very good, early step' toward Russia-Ukraine peace: Here's what's next
President reveals he phoned Putin after White House talks to arrange direct meeting with Ukrainian leader
Meghan Phillips / Fox News

President Donald Trump described his White House negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders as "a very good, early step" toward ending the nearly four-year-old Russia-Ukraine war, announcing that he has already spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin about arranging a direct meeting with Zelenskyy.

Trump said the group of world leaders held discussions on security guarantees for Ukraine, with commitments coming primarily from European nations "in coordination with the United States" in a statement on Truth Social after the meetings.

"Everyone is very happy about the possibility of PEACE for Russia/Ukraine," Trump said, adding that Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and special envoy Steve Witkoff are now leading follow-up talks with Moscow and Kyiv.

Zelenskyy signaled he too was ready to meet directly with Putin. Read more and see video here.

Whoa: That’s Quite an Endorsement NJ’s GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Clinched This Summer
Matt Vespa / Townhall Tipsheet

He came close in 2021, much closer than anyone predicted in that year’s gubernatorial contest in New Jersey. Jack Ciattarelli lost his bid to unseat Democratic Gov. Phil (‘King’) Murphy 51-48. It wasn’t a total loss—for the first time since forever, there were massive swings toward Republicans, especially in Atlantic, Morris, Cumberland, and Gloucester counties, which Biden won in 2020.

With Murphy about to end his residency at Drumthwacket, Jack is trying again and got a significant endorsement in June from one of the state’s most influential labor unions, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825 (via Washington Examiner):

“Greg Lalevee, the union’s business manager, told the Washington Examiner that the endorsement “has to do with the problems that are facing New Jersey and the solutions offered to fix them. The biggest one really being in the energy space.” Read more, see Xs and video here.
