Well it's finally over...for now anyway...as we all know the 'I' word will soon start surfacing again what with some key Democrats saying they do not accept last Wednesday's Senate vote to acquit. And if on the outside chance the 'I' word does lay low for awhile know it will rear its ugly head late on Tuesday night, November 3rd, when Donald J. Trump officially wins his second term in office...a win that will probably be the biggest landslide in decades. And as an added bonus I bet the Republicans will not only keep but increase their numbers in the Senate and take back the House as well. And the direct cause of the Democrats going “splat” lays directly at the feet of acquittal deniers Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and of course Chuck Schumer...the Senate minority leader caught on tape during the Senate impeachment phase talking to no one as he shooed said no one out of his designated Senate chair.*

And the direct cause of the Democrats going “splat” lays directly at the feet of acquittal deniers Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and of course Chuck Schumer...the Senate minority leader caught on tape during the Senate impeachment phase talking to no one as he shooed said no one out of his designated Senate chair.*

Seeing imaginary vote tampering Russians I guess.

But going “splat” actually puts it mildly as the Democrats went into full meltdown mode as soon as their Senate demand to hear from those whom they considered to be key witnesses was formally voted down. Well, actually they started their meltdown even before the final gavel on the House hearings signaled the end was near for when one holds an inquiry made up solely of partisan shills masquerading as witnesses minus the promised but never delivered whistleblower who set this entire nonsense into motion..as in (shhh) Eric Ciaramella...the Democrats had to know that their case against President Trump would go nowhere in the Senate. And sometimes going nowhere comes at a very high cost...a cost “We the People” had to foot the bill for courtesy of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars.

And the cost for the Democrat-led House inquiry alone cost “We the People” over three and half million of our hard earned taxpayer dollars which when broken down was mostly used to pay the salaries of the 106 congressional staffers from the House Intelligence Committee, the Judiciary Committee, and the Oversight and Reform Committee...clerical staffers working on impeachment from the end of September to mid-December. And that dollar amount also includes having to pay the hourly fees for the Democrats six anything but unbiased supposed Constitutional attorneys who appeared during the House hearings.

Our taxpayer dollars so not well spent as the Democrats knew even before they called for President Trump's impeachment that while they could impeach him in their Democrat controlled House, they would never see him removed from office in the Republican controlled Senate. Simply, the Democrats knew from day one that in the end Trump would be acquitted, and yet revenge coupled with hatred for our president led them ever forward.

And while President Trump was rightfully acquitted in the end...rightfully acquitted as in not guilty, as in not removed from office...know that the Democrats call for impeachment was built neither upon a foundation of facts or even upon Constitutionally sound impeachable offenses but upon a foundation of hurt feelings, nonacceptance of election results, and the delusions of losers who have yet to realize that their time in the political spotlight was and remains over. The once honorable party of JFK has been hijacked by a new breed of young Democrats... Democrat-Socialists they call themselves...Democrats so far to the left that they're no longer recognizable to the Democrat party's old establishment guard.

Nevertheless, the Democrat old guard caved one by one, leaving moderation and bipartisanship behind, with their party and its legacy now laying in ruins after having cast aside the law that is the Constitution. And they did so while embracing supposition, hearsay, and lies all in an effort to negate the results of an election that took place nearly four years ago...all in an effort to try and remove a duly elected man from office who denied the “anointed one” his defacto third term in office courtesy of his pulling what would have been Hillary Clinton's presidential strings.

And that folks is the truth...the whole truth and nothing but the truth...behind what in reality remains a Democrat attempted political coup.

And that truth coalesced into one simple fact...fact...not supposition, hearsay or party infused lies...as Adam Schiff and crew presenting their case for impeachment with events so not truthfully told that at times said events were simply made up to fit their overtly anti-Trump agenda. Now add that fact into the package of what were carefully orchestrated and rehearsed discovery processes held behind closed doors; partisan witnesses spewing hyperbole, pure nonsensical innuendos, lies, and what ifs; and top it all off with a neat little partisan blue bow and “We the People” were delivered a package that helped to perpetrate Adam Schiff's fantasy vision of what he determined should be the ultimate payback for the Democrats not attaining their sought after prize...the White House.

But unfortunately, Adam Schiff was and still is not alone in his continuing to wear on his sleeve his all-consuming hatred for President Trump for again entering into the political fray...not that she ever really left it...is House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi...the very woman who first was against impeachment unless it was bipartisan before she was for it...bipartisanship now be damned. That is she was for it only after the likes of “the squad”...and maybe even aforementioned wannabe third-term denied defacto president Barack HUSSEIN Obama...got to her.

Got to her indeed for Nancy Pelosi not only shared Adam Schiff's thoughts about President Trump but also shared his delusions regarding the House impeachment process itself. In fact, Pelosi had been spewing all over the bought and paid for liberal media that, "Once a president is impeached, he's impeached for life," always forgetting that once a president is acquitted in the Senate that he is acquitted...as in found not guilty...for life as well...and that said acquittal is historically more important than the accusations made.

And know that Adam Schiff saw himself as being the Democrats knight in shining armor who would right the 2016 election's wrongs forgetting, just like Pelosi did, the fact that he never would be the decider of Trump's fate. But while Schiff thankfully failed in his quest some heroes did emerge during the Senate phase one being Sen. Rand Paul. After his question was denied by Chief Justice John Roberts during the Q and A portion of the Senate trial because it mentioned the whistleblower's name, Rand Paul cleverly used the period reserved for senators impeachment speeches to read aloud the name Eric Ciaramella...the Obama planted little weasel who first brought President Trump's supposedly unlawful conduct regarding Ukraine to the public's attention.

But to the Democrats chagrin most Republicans did not care that Rand Paul said whisttleblower's Eric Ciaramella's name because Paul also made it clear that while he supports protections against reprisal for whistleblowers he said that whistleblowers do not necessarily deserve anonymity. And I agree with Rand Paul as seeking anonymity means one does not have the courage to stand by their convictions let alone stand by their accusations made. Anonymity also means denying the accused the right to face their accuser and besides, Constitutional law itself does not “preserve anonymity.” Kudos to Rand Paul on this one.

So while in the end the House impeached President Trump...impeached him in a mostly party line vote after a partisan rigged denial of “due process”...Republicans in the Senate again stood strong with President Trump... except for Mitt Romney that is.

Now a pariah within his own party and rightfully so, Romney threw the law of the Constitution aside and actually admitted he cast his vote to convict President Trump of abuse of power based solely upon his faith and conscience instead of on Constitutional law. But let's be honest here, religion and conscience has nothing to do with it for Mitt Romney cast said vote because he remains an angry and vindictive man...angry that he will never be president... vindictive against President Trump for some long ago tweets and his being passed over for Secretary of State. Now becoming the first U.S. Senator to vote to convict a president of his own party in an impeachment trial...especially doing so knowing of the unfair House events leading up to said trial...what Romney did with that vote was not just join the so-called “resistance” but for all intents and purposes put a 'D' next to his name.

So when the Senate vote was finally taken it too fell along party lines, save for Mitt Romney on charge one. And with that vote Mitt Romney has to know that any political relevance he once had is now gone, 

President Donald Trump not only remains in office but is now seeing his approval numbers climbing while Adam Schiff still bloviates about Trump selling Alaska and that any Senator who voted not to impeach “must be held accountable” for said vote...which sounds like a veiled threat to me.

And as expected the Democrats totally came unglued after the acquittal. Chuck Schumer called said acquittal “virtually valueless” and that “there's a giant asterisk next to the president's acquittal...because he was acquitted without a fair trial"...thus implying the House hearings were fair...while Nancy Pelosi accused both President Trump and Senate Republicans of having “normalized lawlessness and rejected the system of checks and balances." 

But what they say pales in comparison to the fallout the Democrat party itself is now facing with it having to pay the political price come November for not only wasting our taxpayer dollars on something they knew all along would never come to fruition, but who now see their party being truly divided. Too many establishment Democrats...especially those in red states...are more that a bit peeved with both Pelosi and Schiff for they know it's Democrats who will pay the price in the upcoming election simply because their party leaders would not stop this attempted political coup from going forward.

But thankfully, at least for now, impeachment is behind us...President Donald J. Trump remains president...Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Jerry Nadler, and Chuck Schumer have been exposed as the Constitutional anarchists that they really are, and Mitt Romney has sealed his political fate...what a sad end for a once honorable man. But why do I again say for now...because on the positive end if the Republicans do win back the House they will surely push for expungement of the books putting this impeachment nonsense to rest once and for all...while on the negative end House Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler has stated that he will try to subpoena John Bolton to appear before the House.

These four Democrats refuse to let go as their hatred for this president knows no end leaving me to wonder just what did Hillary promise them if she had become president. But no matter for Donald Trump is and will remain our president until January 2025, meaning those in Congress need to get back to work and do the people's business otherwise get the hell out...it is as simple as that.

And after witnessing last week's Judiciary Committee's fabrications coupled with its parade of overtly partisan driven anything but impartial constitutional scholars, now has me wondering if the sum total of their collective committee intelligence doesn't hoover around borderline moronic, if even that.

If even that indeed for the truth is that what the Judiciary Committee did...and did on the heels of Adam Schiff's jokingly ridiculous House Intelligence Impeachment Freak Show...is actually a slap in the face to the 62,984,828 of we American citizens who proudly voted for Donald J. Trump in 2016...as these Democrat miscreants think our IQ's must be collectively as low as they've now proven theirs to be.

“You can fool some of the people some of the time”...as part of the old saying goes, but the only ones truly being fooled are the Democrats on both said committees for recent political polls have shown that the American people are not buying what they're trying to sell. And what exactly are the Democrats trying so hard to sell...how about the “weaponization of the process of impeachment” itself...a process used as their means of seeking revenge for Trump's political take-down of Hillary Clinton...the Democrats hoped for second coming of the original “anointed one”...as in Barack HUSSEIN Obama then being the one who would, if she had won, pull Hillary's presidential strings.

And the “weaponization of impeachment” was actually foreseen in Alexander Hamilton's March 7, 1788 essay in Federalist 65, the sixty-fifth essay within “The Federalist Papers." This is where the Founders and Framers attempting to “insulate the impeachment process” from partisan politics, with words warning of "the greatest danger that the decision will be relegated more by the comparative strength of parties, than by the real demonstrations of innocence or guilt."

And this, unfortunately, is exactly what's happening to President Trump. But do know that this specific impeachment is not just about Trump's win, Hillary Clinton's loss, or Obama's what would have been his de facto third term in office, for this goes back even further to when in the 2000 presidential election George W. Bush was ultimately declared the winner in a razor close election against Billy-Boy Clinton's former V.P. Al Gore...the election forever deemed the “hanging chads” fiasco...the election call waiting around in the political wings festering for years for just the right time and for just the right Republican president to use impeachment against.

Now setting a precedent that could and probably will be used against any duly elected sitting president whom the opposing party does not approve of, partisan driven impeachment could and will most likely remain but a sour grapes “bitch slapping” of sorts as witnessed by the two articles of impeachment now having been leveled against President Trump by the very party whose titular head, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi, has previously stated that “impeachment must be bipartisan.” “Abuse of Power” and “Obstruction of Congress”...both charges solely vivindictive in nature, yet the fact remains that President Trump committed no crime for no crime even existed...especially nothing that reaches the constitutional mandate of “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

And while President Trump surely did not commit any such grievous acts key Democrats and certain departments and personnel did, with abject “Abuse of Power” actually occurring at the Department of Justice and most especially at the FBI who together violated the law to obtain all of the Carter Page spy warrants targeting President Trump...the very same warrants the FISA court has now been shown to have issued via no less than 17 missteps. And let's not forget how the DNC paid good money to “set Trump up” via the fact-less, never substantiated, and ever so lying Steele Dossier.

But more overtly seen in regards to the “Obstruction of Congress” charge...a charge more in line with both Adam Sciff's and Jerry Nadler's behavior then it ever will be President Trump's...was witnessed by what occurred in both the House Intel Committee hearings as well as in the more recent hearings and vote to impeach taken by the House Judiciary Committee. How so...neither committee chairman allowed opposing witnesses to be called to testify let alone the whistleblower himself for neither man could risk Republicans exposing said whistleblower or the hearings itself for the sour grapes partisan sham, charade, farce, witch hunt, kangaroo court, and/or political coup that we bore witness to...pick the name of your choosing as they all fit like a glove.

Now for some specific details regarding both “Articles of Impeachment” and how they actually relate to both the committee chairs and not to President Trump. First, let's start with Adam Schiff and the fact that he not only “abused power” in his making the House Intel Committee hearings strictly a one-sided partisan affair, but that he also “abused power” afforded him as committee chair by bold-faced lying on national television about his not having met with, let alone knowing, who the whistleblower is. But the truth is that Adam Schiff not only knows and has always known who the whistleblower is but that he probably even helped write CIA whistleblower Eric Ciaramella's...oops...official complaint against President Trump...a complaint written in “legalize”...a complaint supposedly written by a person who supposedly admitted in the past to being totally unfamiliar with the language of the law...the very language needed to file such an official complaint.

And yet Adam Schiff remained adamant while the hearings were ongoing that neither he himself nor anyone on his staff knew who back then the whistleblower was or who the whistleblower is now. And this was constantly repeated by Schiff no matter that we already knew that his staff had met with Ciaramella just this past August. And yet Schiff, to date, still refuses to answer questions about what he knew about Ciaramella and when exactly he knew it claiming as chairman that he does not have to answer questions as he's not been subpoenaed nor placed under oath to do so.

Arrogance personified I'd say. And let's not forget Schiff's facing the cameras to say that he's been fighting against impeachment for over a year when the truth is that it's been he who has been calling for Trump's impeachment from the very day he officially won the presidency.

And Schiff's “power abuse” also spills over into “obstructing Congress,” again via the House Intel hearings being but a partisan one-sided affair. Remember, Republicans technically had every legal right to call witnesses of their choosing, including whistleblower Eric Charamella as well as Joe Biden and his son Hunter, the two men who remain the crux of what was supposed to be a fair and impartial investigation of a president Democrats claimed overstepped his bounds via a phone call...a phone call whose transcript they continue to erroneously claim was tampered with. But how could these hearings be fair... how could Congress be given both sides of the story upon which to base their vote if only one side was allowed to be presented. Simply, Congress cannot for in Schiff's denying key facts and actual witnesses to the events in question from testifying, it now forces Congress to base their voting upon second and third hand hearsay...hearsay presented by partisan shills. And if that's not a deliberate and with malice intended “Obstruction of Congress” than I don't know what is.

Now as for Jerry Nadler, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee...a committee with the same lack of impartiality as Schiff's House Intel Committee...Nadler “abused power” and “obstructed Congress” in the exact same way that Adam Schiff did in his also refusing to allow any witnesses to testify that the Republicans wanted called including Adam Schiff himself, the very author of the report that outlines the findings from both the public hearings and closed-door interviews conducted by impeachment investigators, thus making the Judiciary hearings not only one-sided but causing each and every vote taken to be predetermined...as in a 23 to 17 party line vote. And this is the very thing the a fore mentioned Alexander Hamilton feared most concerning “strength of parties” instead of “demonstrating innocence or guilt” when impeachment of the president was felt to be the country's only recourse.



It's way passed time to bring “Abuse of Power” and “Obstruction of Congress” charges against both Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler and not even allow a vote to be taken in the Senate...which would be the next step after Wednesday's upcoming House vote...for being tasked with heading a committee does not mean one has the right to run said committee like a tyrannical dictator out of control.

And these same charges also need to be brought against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her own words that have now come back to haunt. Saying in a televised interview that the Democrats have been working on impeaching President Trump for the past 2-1/2 years...2-1/2 years when the official call for impeachment was presented as Trump asking for favors in a July 25, 2019 phone call with Ukranian President Zelenski...thus proving this entire process...hearings as well as votes...has been based upon what's called "false representation."



The entire impeachment case against President Trump needs to be thrown out and certain Democrat arrests made based upon their maliciously deliberate “false representation” of charges, coupled with unproven ethical violations being made against a duly-elected sitting president. Allowing this farce to even be voted on in the House is bad enough, but to allow it to go to vote in the Senate gives what is actually a partisan driven political coup a modicum of credence it does not deserve. And yet the process will probably be seen through for while Republicans are united with President Trump they still...save for a vocal few...lack the courage to stop this nonsense from going any further.

So with the Democrats now having put the final nail in their 2020 political coffins...the only good thing coming from this total waste of time and taxpayer dollars...we now see some moderate Democrats realizing that this call for impeachment is not only based upon false accusations but that it's dividing our country in a way we haven't seen in years. And this in turn has given rise to the fact that 31 red district Democrats who are the most vulnerable in next November election are still undecided as to how they will vote.

But some are truly brave and are doing the right thing. Such is the case with first-term lawmaker Jeff Van Drew from New Jersey, who it seems will be quitting the party and be putting an R next to his name before Wednesday's House vote. Remember, impeachment remains all about numbers and all that's needed is for 17 Democrats to vote “no” thus leaving impeachment to die in the House before it will assuredly die in the Senate. And some of those 31 red district Democrats, like Michigan’s Elissa Slotkin and Haley Stevens; South Carolina’s Joe Cunningham; New Jersey’s Andy Kim and Mikie Sherrill; New York’s Anthony Brindisi; and Oklahoma’s Kendra Horn have not yet decided on how they will vote. Sometimes it only takes one to start the ball rolling...only time will tell. But know that with any defections the Democrats have lost the battle for unless the vote is unanimous...which it will not be...the wedge they hoped to drive into the Republican party will have been driven into the Democrat party instead.

And as for the polls earlier mentioned, those too have shifted away from impeachment what with the way the inquiry and hearings were handled...with it's rush to convict along with its abuse of the process being solely partisan in nature...and with the economy on strong footing and with the jobs numbers continuing to grow we now see numbers the Democrats never expected to see especially with most polls showing that Trump will win the 2020 election no matter whom the Democrats run against him. Even the left-leaning Washington Post shows that in the battleground states of Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, an average of 44% of those recently surveyed supported impeachment while 51% did not proving that Independents are now coming over to the no impeachment, Trump 2020 side, in record numbers.

But when all is said and done, the only thing that truly matters is that come Tuesday, November 6, 2020 every registered Republican and every registered Independent, along with the Democrat moderate masses, get out and vote for the Trump/Pence ticket if for no other reason than if they lose socialism will become your, mine, and our new norm.

Impeachment...Still A Wild Goose Chase

Let's start with two indisputable facts...no president in U.S. history has ever been removed from office by impeachment nor will President Trump be the first to be so removed. Another fact is that if impeachment is properly and correctly served as per Article 2, Section 4 of the Constitution, it would only be served for indisputable, “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors” and not waste every body's time with the knowingly mundane that in the end will go nowhere. And the last fact here is that nothing President Trump has been accused of...not collusion with the Russians not even the innocuous in no way "quid pro quo" telephone conversation he had with Ukrainian President Zelensky...reaches anywhere near such a level as to require he be impeached.

Let's start with two indisputable facts...no president in U.S. history has ever been removed from office by impeachment nor will President Trump be the first to be so removed. Another fact is that if impeachment is properly and correctly served as per Article 2, Section 4 of the Constitution, it would only be served for indisputable, “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors” and not waste every body's time with the knowingly mundane that in the end will go nowhere. And the last fact here is that nothing President Trump has been accused of...not collusion with the Russians not even the innocuous in no way "quid pro quo" telephone conversation he had with Ukrainian President Zelensky...reaches anywhere near such a level as to require he be impeached.

Impeachment in regards to President Donald J. Trump is simply a partisan driven case of revenge coupled with Democrats misplaced atonement for Hillary Clinton's loss, a loss that the party hierarchy is being blamed for what with it (thankfully) denying Barack HUSSEIN Obama not only his dream of seeing his “fundamentally changing America” coming to fruition, but also denying him his much coveted third term in office...an office attained only by his being the one to pull what would then be President Hillary's decision making strings.

The Democrats lost the White House prize they so wanted, and like a whiny two-year old they're now throwing a temper tantrum in the guise of impeachment as a means of revenge not only against Trump for winning, but against we half of the American populace who voted for him. And as an added bonus the House Democrats are still collecting their paychecks while chasing a dream they know will go nowhere in the Republican controlled Senate as they relish in not doing the actual jobs their constituents elected them to do.

An impeachment driven “cash cow” if you will, coming on the heels of these same Democrats having ignored the past administration's what truly were many impeachable offenses, all while the mainstream media aided them in what actually was a successful cover-up job. And that cover-up job continues unabated to this day what with the Democrats and the media most assuredly not applying the same impeachment standards then to Obama that they now apply to President Trump.

And what of Barack HUSSEIN Obama, the “supposed” first black president of these United States...the first bi-racial president actually...and his attempt to destroy both the American political system and America herself from within. He surely got away with all that he did... Benghazi and the 5-for-1 Taliban trade being but two of way too many...simply because the then Republican controlled Congress were deathly afraid of the ramifications that could arise if they were successful in impeaching the country's first “supposed” black president. To them it seemed not to matter that the man's very actions bordered on, if not crossing over into finely-tuned acts of treason...for what was Obama's many acts of “aiding and abetting” the enemy if not treason.

And yet the Republicans themselves have inadvertently obstructed what could have been justice served via their omission of charges regarding what was most obviously Obama's criminal and traitorous actions and his equally traitorous lack thereof. Also something never addressed by both Republicans and Democrats...mostly mainstream Democrats that is...was Obama's deliberately and ever so maliciously dividing our country along racial lines. And those on the Republican side who knew about his administration's blanket corruption... Uranium One and the I.R.S. scandal are but two instances that immediately come to mind...now sees certain Republicans again undermining via omission what should be the truth seeking process regarding President Trump...a process we can no longer trust solely to Republicans as too many turncoats...too many RINOs...are now within their ranks.

And why is that trust as well as their loyalty coming into question...because recently 129 Republicans in the House voted with the Democrats in condemning our president for his withdrawing our troops from Syria. And if they can do that in regards to Syria just image how the RINOs amongst them will vote when and if true "articles of impeachment" are ever leveled against President Trump...against an innocent man.

Loyalty seems tenuous at best to some Republicans as they willfully forget how Democrats joined together to circle the wagons around then President Obama during his many times of political woe...joined together to protect a man they knew was a traitor to this country and yet they protected him. And here we have President Trump having committed no crime whatsoever, but because Democrats squawk the loudest we saw 129 Republicans siding with Democrats against a rightful action taken by our president to break the cycle of America being involved in endless wars not of our doing...sided with the Democrats no matter another campaign promise was kept.

So with the Democrats, the mainstream media, and the collective known as the “Never Trumpers”...led by turncoat Mitt Romney...it seems imperative that President Trump be impeached no matter the cost, no matter the time wasted, and it's a call that began even before Trump was officially sworn into office. And this leads to the sad truth that the Democrat members of the House...members who care nothing about the Constitution...the document they claim is “old and outdated”...are now using that very document to try and take President Trump down. And they know they can try and try again because the Constitution sets few procedural parameters for impeachment nor does it specify how impeachment proceedings are to be initiated. Basically, all the Constitution states is that the House of Representatives "shall have the sole Power of Impeachment" (Article I, section 2), and that "the Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments…[but] no person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two-thirds of the Members present" (Article I, Section 3).

Think of it this way because the Democrats surely have, in that their Constitutional right to impeach a sitting president is along the same line as criminal charges being brought by a grand jury, with a judge and/or jury than deciding the defendant's fate. But the difference in President Trump's case is that the Democrat's hope that with enough of their vitriol and lies spewed that they can sway the court of public opinion to such a degree that some RINO Republicans in the Senate will start thinking their way.

A plan simple in concept yet convoluted in application as right now it's but an impeachment inquiry not a formal call for impeachment itself.

And to that affect, last Wednesday the House Democrats unveiled the text of a resolution that laid out procedures for public hearings as the impeachment inquiry enters its so-called "public-facing phase." After reading the text the White House said the resolution actually "confirms" that the inquiry "has been an illegitimate sham from the start." Personally, I saw the resolution as being the mother of all Trump witch hunts.

  

The resolution itself directed "certain committees to continue their ongoing investigations as part of the existing House of Representatives inquiry into whether sufficient grounds exist for the House of Representatives to exercise its Constitutional power to impeach Donald John Trump, President of the United States of America, and for other purposes." Translation...the procedural resolution laid out the framework for public hearings and eventual proceedings in the Judiciary Committee...the very committee tasked with crafting any potential "articles of impeachment" if the inquiry was to go so far.

And so last Thursday after the procedural resolution itself passed the preceding day, said resolution went to the full House for vote. And as expected the Democrat controlled House saw it being passed mostly along party lines. The vote was 232 to 196, with all Republicans voting "nay" while two Democrats, Reps. Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey and Collin Peterson of Minnesota, also voted against the resolution...in fact they were the only two Democrats to vote against the resolution even moving forward. Kudos to them I say. And former Republican turned Independent, Michigan Rep. Jason Amash, voted, as expected, with the Democrats in support of the now formalized inquiry resolution.

So now the House Intelligence Committee is officially authorized to hold public hearings and compose a report to be delivered to the Judiciary Committee, where President Trump and his counsel will have the right to cross examine witnesses and review evidence. Also, the Republicans can request testimony from witnesses in either committee, subject to the approval of the Democratic chairman or a full committee vote. Something sure stinks here as Trump's now arch enemy Adam Schiff would be the one making the decision...Adam Schiff would be the judge and jury of it all.

And Republicans are rightfully not happy at all...not about the resolution vote, not about the partisan railroading of an innocent man, and surely not about this inquiry now turning into a phishing expedition to try and accomplish what Robert Mueller's investigation could not.

 

But here it's important to understand that an impeachment inquiry...official or otherwise... differs greatly from an actual Senate impeachment hearing/trial. For starters, an inquiry relies on depositions being used as the main tool for congressional fact-gathering as opposed to witnesses being called to testify in an actual open hearing. And it was here where Republicans questioned the legality of the inquiry itself because until last Thursday no resolution had been voted on by the full House that would allow such an inquiry to formally go forward. Remember the Democrats hemmed and hawed over this as long as they could even while holding closed door meetings where Republicans could not bear witness to the evidence gathered...evidence Democrats claimed was of a “sensitive nature” and thus was more appropriate for closed-door meetings.

Now it should become obvious to all as to why President Trump rightfully called this entire inquiry process nothing but a “sham.”

And to add more credence to Trump's claim now comes the fact that the whistleblower's cover has been blown and there's no real surprise here. His name is Eric Ciaramella, he's a CIA analyst and a Ukraine expert, a former National Security Council staffer, and (again no surprise) a registered Democrat with direct ties to Joe Biden (as in his "point man" on Ukraine), John Brennan, and Adam Schiff, as well as his having been appointed to the White House detail by Obama himself during the transition period...so the word "sham" puts it mildly...the words "orchestrated setup" puts it more directly.

Simply, this road to impeachment is a road paved solely with revenge for the Democrats White House loss in 2016 as witnessed by their new 2020 battle cry being, "Impeach Him Because We Can't Beat Him!" And this obvious shill, I believe, will in the end signal the death knell for this impeachment nonsense.

So while the inquiry itself now technically has some legality to it, one still has to wonder why the Democrats were holding closed door meetings...meetings that didn't allow the one being accused to face his accuser...and were any legalities breached when the Democrats claimed that no actual resolution was required under the Constitution or House rules, in that other impeachment efforts to remove officials, like judges, started without such a vote.

And again as expected the Democrats got another ally in Obama appointed Washington D.C. Federal District Court Judge Beryl A. Howell..who "declared" that the House's impeachment inquiry was both “legal and legitimate” no matter that at the time the full House had not yet voted on any resolution to actually authorize an inquiry. And why is this important...because it involves secret grand jury testimony that AG William Barr “supposedly” tried to withhold...testimony that Judge Howell now ruled the House Judiciary Committee is entitled to see. And what does this evidence involve but evidence gathered by special counsel Robert Mueller...evidence that Congress normally would have no right to see. Saying that the committee's right to view said evidence outweighs any need to keep the information secret from lawmakers,

Howell based her decision upon the fact that back in both 1974 and 1997 the courts permitted lawmakers to see such materials as they decided on whether or not to impeach then Presidents Richard M. Nixon and Bill Clinton respectively. But there's one big difference between this inquiry and those two impeachment inquiries in the fact that there is no independent counsel to gather documents and interview witnesses for Congress, so lawmakers are doing it themselves.

And yet Judge Beryl Howell decided that the Democrat controlled House was involved in the exact same legal process being focused on President Trump as it was on Nixon and Clinton decades ago. But this activist judge in her ruling actually denied Republicans subpoena power that would have allowed them to carry out a so-called “parallel investigation” into the "questionable" actions of former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter regarding Ukraine, as well as denying the calling of witnesses that could have countered and debunked the charges made against President Trump.

But even though President Trump and House Republicans have now taken a legal hit because of the procedural resolution passing...a resolution that is anything but fair and impartial...they can still use this impeachment farce, especially with the partisan hack of a whistleblower now being outed, to help raise doubts in the eyes of the voters while continuing to hold the “trump card” regarding the fact that nothing of substance is being accomplished in Congress what with the Democrats remaining focused on what was, is, and will always remain an impeachment wild goose chase.
