I know that many will not like what I
am going to say but say it I will for it's my opinion that if Donald
J. Trump had conceded the 2020 election to Joe Biden on election
night...or within a reasonable period of time...but that in his
concession speech he emphatically stated that he will be running
again in 2024, things would be vastly different than they are today.
How so...I would think that after what we all knew would be but four
disastrous years of the Biden/Harris administration that almost every
Republican would now be united behind Trump and few, if any, would be
running against him for the Republican nomination.
And while some of the now so called
“Only Trumpers” probably would have squawked that Trump
sold out to the “establishment”...aka
“the swamp”...and then turned their collective backs on
him...“loyalty” itself does tend to ebb and flow on
whim...the fact remains that if Trump had stayed quiet...literally
and figuratively quiet...his people...both his legal team and
assorted paid investigators... would have been able to work through
the process behind the scenes to prove that fraud did indeed take
place, and do so minus all the media initiated drama that always
seems to surface every time Trump dares...rightfully or not...to open
his mouth.
And if Trump had done what I just opined, one upside for
him personally would have been that he would basically be assured not
just of the 2024 Republican nomination but the presidency as well,
with the cherry on top of the proverbial political cake being that
his vice-president would likely win in 2028, and so on down the
respective Republican line for probably a generation, if not more, to
come.
And an even more important upside would
have been that our beloved country...our “republic”...would have remained intact for any given number of years.
But sadly, we all know that what was my
hoped for scenario did nor happen...common sense, logic, and
deductive reasoning once again were thrown by the wayside in favor of
one man's seeking both personal and political revenge...revenge which
while warranted, still in and of itself, played directly into the
hands of the Democrat initiated, 24/7 media drama known as the “Get
Trump Show.” So now instead of being able to focus on and learn
about any of the other Republican candidates running for the
nomination so as to be able to make a truly informed decision as to
whom each of us we will ultimately decide to vote for come the
primaries, we are being manipulated to focus instead on what is a
ratings bonanza...hence the revenue producing drama...that is Donald
J. Trump. After all, everyone no matter their party affiliation wants
to see just how the 95+ partisan driven charges against our
former president play out, while the other presidential nominees in
both parties get cursory lip service at best.
And as Trump continues to gain polling momentum
with each and every indictment Special Council Jack Smith hands down...at
least for now he is but that probably will change in time...what now appears on the surface to be a man who thrives
on being the main focus of all attention, whether said attention be good or
bad, is unbeknownst to him...at least I truly would hope so...causing an
upheaval in the very foundation upon which our “republic”...more
specifically our “constitutional republic”...was built
upon.
And notice I say “republic”
and not “democracy” for not only are we a “republic”...a
“constitutional republic”...but these United States are
not now nor have we ever been a “democracy” for
“democracy's” actual meaning equates to “mob rule.”
Our Founders and Framers
understood the concept of “democracy”
well for when our country was in the midst of her birthing pains not
only were passions running high but so too were armed mobs...the very
antithesis of what these wise men desired not only for the new nation
they were helping to forge...but for the very document that would
become said nation's rule of law...a document know as the “U.S.
Constitution”...a document
sometimes referred to as “the blueprint for America”...a
document detailing a “republic” not a “democracy.”
So now we must wait
as our Founders and Framers did 247 or so years ago...wait for
passions not just within our own Republican party to start tempering
down but within the Democrat party as well...passions more times
than not deliberately ignited by the media's overt lack of truth in
reporting...for only then will the truth that is “common sense” even
start to set in. And this is no matter that for some President Trump
is deemed a hero out to save our country from the socialist embracing
far left, while others deem him a villain out to destroy the very
bedrock upon which our nation was built, thus proving that one's
political leanings do at times not only make for dangerously heated
contention but for strange bedfellows at best.
But the bottom line
remains not in Donald Trump running for office...which he has every
right to do...but in the fact that being overlooked is that
so-called “loyalty” to Trump demands unwavering allegiance
to him no matter how the aforementioned charges play out. The
twelve or so other candidates...of which a few are also quite
qualified to be president for having said qualifications is not the
sole domain of Donald J. Trump alone... coupled with the ongoing
infighting amongst the party loyal...infighting egged on at times by
Trump's very own words...is helping to further divide the party which
in turn equates to dividing the vote, which is exactly what the
Democrats not only want but are counting on.
And
why...because Joe Biden cannot win against a strong “uniting
the party” Republican
candidate...that is if “voting
irregularities”...aka“fraud”...are
removed from the mix. Remember, Biden's disastrous record alone
proves that our country's...our “republic's”...very
survival must be paramount in the minds of the voters above all
else.... even above their “loyalty”
to one man.
And so
with the 2024 election...and most specifically first with the
primaries...probably being the determining factor in regards to not
just “We the People's”
future...economic and otherwise...but the future of our Constitution
as our governing rule of law...votes hopefully will be cast not just
based upon one's passions or emotions nor upon the misused concept of
“loyalty,” but
with the understanding that no one man or woman nor one political
party alone can stop or counter the weight of ongoing political
shenanigans coming from both sides of the political isle.
Remember
the old adage, “it takes two to tango”...well
we are now bearing witness to infighting not just within our
own party but within the Democrat party as well. Double the trouble for
them is ten times the trouble for us, and this is especially true
when candidates in both parties keep bantering about the
aforementioned word “democracy”...the
very word...like the word Jesus...never once appearing in the
Constitution itself...the very word that negates our system of
"checks and balances" of power and replaces it with the previously
stated concept of “mob rule.” And
if the candidates themselves...no matter their party affiliation...do
not know this simple fact, then truly God help us all for Reagan's “A
Shining City on a Hill” will
become but a memory.
Vote
wisely dear reader...in the primaries vote for whomever you deem to
be the best Republican nominee and flag bearer...but in the
presidential election itself please vote for, unite behind, and
outwardly support whomever the Republican nominee is for if we do not
take our country...our “republic”...back from those out to both destroy and transform her now, our
memories of our beloved United States of America and what she once was will become fleeting indeed.
Case closed.

Well it's finally over...for now anyway...as we all know the 'I'
word will soon start surfacing again what with some key Democrats
saying they do not accept last Wednesday's Senate vote to acquit. And
if on the outside chance the 'I' word does lay low for awhile know it
will rear its ugly head late on Tuesday night, November 3rd, when
Donald J. Trump officially wins his second term in office...a win
that will probably be the biggest landslide in decades. And as an
added bonus I bet the Republicans will not only keep but increase
their numbers in the Senate and take back the House as well. And the
direct cause of the Democrats going “splat” lays
directly at the feet of acquittal deniers Nancy Pelosi, Adam
Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and of course Chuck Schumer...the Senate
minority leader caught on tape during the Senate impeachment phase
talking to no one as he shooed said no one out of his designated
Senate chair.*

Seeing imaginary vote tampering Russians I guess.
But going “splat” actually puts it mildly as the
Democrats went into full meltdown mode as soon as their Senate demand
to hear from those whom they considered to be key witnesses was
formally voted down. Well, actually they started their meltdown even
before the final gavel on the House hearings signaled the end was
near for when one holds an inquiry made up solely of partisan shills
masquerading as witnesses minus the promised but never delivered
whistleblower who set this entire nonsense into motion..as in (shhh)
Eric Ciaramella...the Democrats had to know that their case against
President Trump would go nowhere in the Senate. And sometimes going
nowhere comes at a very high cost...a cost “We the People” had
to foot the bill for courtesy of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars.
And the cost for the Democrat-led House inquiry alone cost “We
the People” over three and half million of our hard earned
taxpayer dollars which when broken down was mostly used to pay the
salaries of the 106 congressional staffers from the House
Intelligence Committee, the Judiciary Committee, and the Oversight
and Reform Committee...clerical staffers working on impeachment
from the end of September to mid-December. And that dollar amount
also includes having to pay the hourly fees for the Democrats six
anything but unbiased supposed Constitutional attorneys who appeared
during the House hearings.
Our taxpayer dollars so not well spent as the Democrats knew even
before they called for President Trump's impeachment that while they
could impeach him in their Democrat controlled House, they would
never see him removed from office in the Republican controlled
Senate. Simply, the Democrats knew from day one that in the end Trump
would be acquitted, and yet revenge coupled with hatred for our
president led them ever forward.
And while President Trump was rightfully acquitted in the
end...rightfully acquitted as in not guilty, as in not removed from office...know that
the Democrats call for impeachment was built neither upon a
foundation of facts or even upon Constitutionally sound impeachable
offenses but upon a foundation of hurt feelings, nonacceptance of
election results, and the delusions of losers who have yet to realize
that their time in the political spotlight was and remains over. The
once honorable party of JFK has been hijacked by a new breed of
young Democrats... Democrat-Socialists they call
themselves...Democrats so far to the left that they're no longer
recognizable to the Democrat party's old establishment guard.
Nevertheless, the Democrat old guard caved one by one, leaving
moderation and bipartisanship behind, with their party and its legacy
now laying in ruins after having cast aside the law that is the
Constitution. And they did so while embracing supposition, hearsay,
and lies all in an effort to negate the results of an election that
took place nearly four years ago...all in an effort to try and remove a duly elected man
from office who denied the “anointed one” his
defacto third term in office courtesy of his pulling what would have
been Hillary Clinton's presidential strings.
And that folks is the truth...the whole truth and nothing but the
truth...behind what in reality remains a Democrat attempted political
coup.
And that truth coalesced into one simple fact...fact...not
supposition, hearsay or party infused lies...as Adam Schiff and crew
presenting their case for impeachment with events so not truthfully
told that at times said events were simply made up to fit their
overtly anti-Trump agenda. Now add that fact into the package of what
were carefully orchestrated and rehearsed discovery processes held
behind closed doors; partisan witnesses spewing hyperbole, pure
nonsensical innuendos, lies, and what ifs; and top it all off with a neat
little partisan blue bow and “We the People” were
delivered a package that helped to perpetrate Adam Schiff's fantasy
vision of what he determined should be the ultimate payback for the Democrats
not attaining their sought after prize...the White House.
But unfortunately, Adam Schiff was and
still is not alone in his continuing to wear on his sleeve his
all-consuming hatred for President Trump for again entering into the
political fray...not that she ever really left it...is House Majority
Leader Nancy Pelosi...the very woman who first was against
impeachment unless it was bipartisan before she was for
it...bipartisanship now be damned. That is she was for it only after the
likes of “the squad”...and
maybe even aforementioned wannabe third-term denied defacto president
Barack HUSSEIN Obama...got to her.
Got to
her indeed for Nancy Pelosi not only shared Adam Schiff's thoughts
about President Trump but also shared his delusions regarding the
House impeachment process itself. In fact, Pelosi had been spewing
all over the bought and paid for liberal media that, "Once
a president is impeached, he's impeached for life," always
forgetting that once a president is acquitted in the Senate that he
is acquitted...as in found not guilty...for life as well...and that
said acquittal is historically more important than the accusations
made.
And know that Adam Schiff saw himself
as being the Democrats knight in shining armor who would right the
2016 election's wrongs forgetting, just like Pelosi did, the fact
that he never would be the decider of Trump's fate. But while Schiff
thankfully failed in his quest some heroes did emerge during the
Senate phase one
being Sen. Rand Paul.
After his question was denied by Chief Justice John Roberts during
the Q and A portion of the Senate trial because it mentioned the
whistleblower's name, Rand Paul cleverly used the period reserved for
senators impeachment speeches to read aloud the name Eric
Ciaramella...the Obama planted little weasel who first
brought President Trump's supposedly unlawful conduct regarding Ukraine
to the public's attention.
But to
the Democrats chagrin most Republicans did not care that Rand Paul
said whisttleblower's Eric Ciaramella's name because Paul also made
it clear that while he supports protections against reprisal
for whistleblowers he said that whistleblowers do not necessarily
deserve anonymity. And I agree with Rand Paul as seeking anonymity
means one does not have the courage to stand by their convictions let
alone stand by their accusations made. Anonymity also means denying
the accused the right to face their accuser and besides,
Constitutional law itself does not “preserve anonymity.” Kudos
to Rand Paul on this one.
So while in the end the House impeached
President Trump...impeached him in a mostly party line vote after a partisan
rigged denial of “due process”...Republicans in the Senate
again stood strong with President Trump... except for Mitt Romney that
is.
Now a pariah within his own party and
rightfully so, Romney threw the law of the Constitution aside and
actually admitted he cast his vote to convict President Trump of
abuse of power based solely upon his faith and conscience instead of
on Constitutional law. But let's be honest here, religion and
conscience has nothing to do with it for Mitt Romney cast said vote
because he remains an angry and vindictive man...angry that he will
never be president... vindictive against President Trump for some long
ago tweets and his being passed over for Secretary of State. Now
becoming the first U.S. Senator to vote to convict a president of his
own party in an impeachment trial...especially doing so knowing of
the unfair House events leading up to said trial...what Romney did
with that vote was not just join the so-called “resistance”
but for all intents and purposes put a 'D' next to his name.
So when the Senate vote was finally
taken it too fell along party lines, save for Mitt Romney on charge
one. And with that vote Mitt Romney has to know that any political relevance
he once had is now gone,
President Donald Trump not only remains in
office but is now seeing his approval numbers climbing while Adam
Schiff still bloviates about Trump selling Alaska and that any
Senator who voted not to impeach “must be held accountable”
for said vote...which sounds like a veiled threat to me.
And as expected the Democrats totally came unglued after the
acquittal. Chuck Schumer called said acquittal “virtually
valueless” and that
“there's a giant asterisk next to the president's acquittal...because he was acquitted without a fair trial"...thus implying
the House hearings were fair...while Nancy Pelosi accused
both President Trump and Senate Republicans of having “normalized
lawlessness and rejected the system of checks and balances."
But what they say pales in comparison to the fallout the Democrat
party itself is now facing with it having to pay the political
price come November for not only wasting our taxpayer dollars on something they
knew all along would never come to fruition, but who now see their
party being truly divided. Too many establishment
Democrats...especially those in red states...are more that a bit
peeved with both Pelosi and Schiff for they know it's
Democrats who will pay the price in the upcoming election simply because their party leaders would not stop this attempted political coup from going
forward.
But thankfully, at least for now, impeachment
is behind us...President Donald J. Trump remains president...Adam
Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Jerry Nadler, and Chuck Schumer have been
exposed as the Constitutional anarchists that they really are, and
Mitt Romney has sealed his political fate...what a sad end for a once
honorable man. But why do I again say for now...because on the
positive end if the Republicans do win back the House they will surely push for
expungement of the books putting this impeachment nonsense
to rest once and for all...while on the negative end House Judiciary
Chair Jerry Nadler has stated that he will try to subpoena John
Bolton to appear before the House.
These four Democrats refuse to let go
as their hatred for this president knows no end leaving me to wonder just
what did Hillary promise them if she had become president. But no
matter for Donald Trump is and will remain our president until
January 2025, meaning those in Congress need to get back to work and
do the people's business otherwise get the hell out...it is as simple
as that.

And so Reince Preibus' words will sadly come to pass as Donald Trump
will soon have the delegates needed to become the GOP nominee...on the
first ballot no less...much to the chagrin of we true conservatives
everywhere.
And in no uncertain terms now comes the blame game...and rightly
so...for 'reality TV star' Donald Trump is a 'sound-byte' candidate and
nothing more. Beating out more qualified, learned, and experienced
candidates, Trump...actually the consummate politician never mind his
words otherwise...secured the nomination by stirring up the anger of the
masses and by feeding into their hate of all things 'establishment'...a
term...as is 'RINO'...media fabricated to divide and fracture the
Republican party...which they successfully have done.
But beating out the others puts it mildly for Donald Trump's big
mouth bullied, name called, and out-and-out lied about those running
against him, all while he flip-flopped on both the major issues and the
social issues...telling the masses what they wanted to hear not what he
truly believed. And he was aided in his quest by the free nonstop media
coverage he was afforded, whether it be good press or bad press it was
press none the less and it helped keep his name in the forefront of the
public's collective mind. And it did so while his name and antics
brought in viewership which turned into ratings, which translated into
dollars for the media whores both networks and talking heads
alike... networks like what proved to be the anything but 'fair and
balanced' FOX News with its talking head Sean Hannity...Hannity who
turned his nightly show into 'The Donald Trump Hour' so much so that one
has to wonder if he was actually on Trump's payroll.
But even with Trump's media love-fest...a love-fest not unlike the
media's twice anointing of Barack HUSSEIN Obama as the supposed savior
of us all...the media alone is not the sole reason why Donald Trump will
be the Republican nominee come July...there is equal blame to go
around...equal blame if not more so that must be laid at the same feet
of those who cost Mitt Romney the presidency back in 2012...and that is
the ever-vocal Evangelical Christian movement who deems all they say and
believe to be gospel truth...gospel truth that must be followed by all or
else.
And or else can be both witnessed and attested to when in 2012, the
Evangelicals (and of course I do not mean all) found Mitt Romney not to
be their brand of Christian tea because he is a (gasp) Mormon...and with
them deeming Mormonism a cult not unlike islam, Romney became the
enemy. "Better a muslim we know than a Mormon we don't know" became the
Evangelical battle cry as they urged their fellow Evangelicals to either
stay home and not vote or vote third party...in effect handing the
presidency to Obama. Remember, Romney lost by about two to three million
votes...the exact number of Evangelicals who stayed home and did not
vote.
And now the Evangelicals have done it again, but this time
they have done so by thumbing their nose at the very Bible they so love
to quote and say they live by. Voting for a man who not too long ago
supported abortion...including partial birth abortion...and a man who
throws wives away if they dare to age and can no longer appear on his
arm as the epitome of a 'trophy wife,' Donald Trump himself is the
poster boy for greed, selfishness, vanity, and narcissism for the words
humility and humbleness...so very important in the Evangelical
movement...do not exist in his vocabulary...for Donald Trump is all
about himself, and his all-consuming never-ending quest for
winning...winning at all costs no matter the price paid both
figuratively and otherwise.
But why did the Evangelicals abandon their faith and fellow
Evangelical candidate Senator Ted Cruz...a man of principal and high
moral values...for a man (I believe) of little or no true faith...are
they questioning their beliefs as a whole or is it that some are simply
more conservative in their beliefs both politically and religiously
while others are more moderate, especially on the social issues. Are
hell and damnation no longer the once feared outcome for those who do
not tow the biblical mandated line or has modern society reached a point
where hell is no longer feared because they believe hell already exists
here on Earth...I mean do some Evangelicals see hell in the guise of a
political arena not to their liking...not to their beliefs.
And while many Evangelicals do not religiously go to church...and
know they like to chastise others for not doing so...many still identify
themselves as Christian, as witnessed by all the brouhaha over gay
wedding cakes, pizza parlors, and a Supreme Court ruling over the
legalities alone of same-sex marriage. For this they united claiming the
wrath of God will be on those who condone their self-perceived
abomination called homosexuality...for this they united as one
voice...yet now that voice is silenced with the older more religious
folks more politically conservative and voting so, while younger
Evangelicals are showing to be more politically moderate...more with the
times if you will...more in line with the Trump ideology of live and
let live...basically liberal light.
'Make America great again'...the Trump mantra repeated
ad-nauseum...rings loud and clear with the younger Evangelicals for they
feel the Republican party has abandoned them. Seeing the mistakes
of the past becoming their likely future they are rightfully scared... scared that
the bills of others will come 'due' in their lifetime if conservative
rhetoric rules the day. So why not try the 'other side' even though the
'other side'...as in Donald Trump...is now just masquerading as one of
them. They find his 'sound-byte' policies, no matter that they lack in
substance, both logical and inspiring, while believing promises that
cannot be fulfilled...and letting what they believe to be a disconnect
between Washington and the rest of the country guide their choice of
candidates...no matter that this logic is illogical at best.
"Believe me...believe me"...Trump repeats over and over and the
Evangelicals believe him because they no longer have faith that the
Republican hierarchy will do their bidding, choosing instead to believe
lies and at best half-truths because they are angry and disheartened. And history has shown time and again that this type of thinking does come back to bite
one...eight years of Barack HUSSEIN Obama should be proof enough of
that. And the Evangelicals having allowed Trump's lies coupled with his
bully tactics to become their new truth, and with their overwhelming
support for this Democrat dressed in Republican clothing...'Made in
China' clothing I might add...proves that they indeed have allowed
history...2012's history...to repeat itself.
But while the Evangelicals and especially the media are to blame for
Trump's presumptive Republican nomination they are not the only ones for
that blame must also be shared by the angry white working-class voters
who are hurting economically...and who are vocally espousing that anger
for all to see...as they are losing jobs to both illegals and to the
outsourcing of jobs to foreign countries. But what they do not
understand is that while Trump's economic policies might work well in
the private sector of high dollar business dealings, they will not work
well for the business of government and especially not for the middle
class.
With Trump proposing that the way to stop American companies from going
overseas to take advantage of cheap labor, what he calls China's illegal
export subsidies, along with taking advantage of many countries lax environmental standards, is to
place a 35% tax...raising tariffs actually...on goods coming into the
U.S. But what Trump doesn't say is that by doing so prices will not only be
raised on said goods coming into this country but will correspondingly
rise...to a tune of 10% to 15%...on 'Made in America' goods as well,
thus not only slowing down but actually negating any recovery...albeit a
very small one...we currently have. And why...do the words 'trade war'
ring a bell. And what Trump's economic proposal actually does is
indirectly subsidize U.S. manufacturers via the setting of higher
prices...higher prices which would result in across the board inflation
which then in turn would lead to even higher unemployment numbers, and
that in and of itself would hurt the angry white working class and the
poor even more.
And yet these angry folks turn a blind eye to these facts for their
anger is what drives them forward and again, like with the Evangelicals,
anger will prove to not serve them well as Trump's economic policies

And let's not forget one other group that is directly responsible for
the rise of Donald Trump, and that is the so-called 'establishment' who
have because of their inactions allowed a non-conservative...a Democrat
pretending to be a Republican...to (presumptively) secure the Republican nomination. How
Lincoln and Reagan must be turning in their graves.
Starting with the fact that once Republicans secured control of both the
House and the Senate they then did not a thing of substance to stop
Obama's agenda from moving forward...including their watching the debt
ceiling being raised, watching questionable executive order and after
executive order being signed and implemented, and watching as Congress
sat back and allowed Obama to turn America into a laughing stock while he lead from behind on the world stage. And
saddest of all is that while Republicans won many local and state elections,
they forgot that winning elections also means following through and
getting things done as well as keeping promises made.
And while these are the four main groups who are directly responsible
for Donald Trump steamrolling over all the other Republican
candidates...candidates with actual tangible and workable policies not
just media driven sound-bytes...I think FOX's sole Trump critic, Charles
Krauthammer, said it best when hearing that Trump had won Indiana,
"What are we just witnessing happening tonight is one of the major
American parties changing its political ideology, radically," he said,
rightfully adding that, "It was... for the last 50 years, going all the
way back perhaps to Eisenhower, the conservative party in the country.
As of tonight it's being led by a non-conservative populist."
And how right Krauthammer is for now we have a Republican candidate
whose strings are being pulled by his true liberal and progressive
ideals while the angry amongst our ranks refuse to see that they have
been conned by the ultimate con man...Donald J. Trump himself.

Donald Trump's followers keep flooding the online polls in an attempt to
try and prove that either last week's poor debate performance didn't
hurt their boy or that he won it no matter that anyone with even one
working brain cell could see that Trump got caught in a Rubio/Cruz
sandwich. Being once again ill-prepared to discuss the issues, Trump didn't
know key facts relating to the questions asked and as such reverted back
to his usual personal attack style, but even that backfired as he turned
red, sweated, and appeared ready to implode from within. That debate
hurt him and it was proven by Ted Cruz's two big wins in last Saturday's
primaries.
So Trump's latest tactic is to now bait the Republican party into
thinking that if he is not the nominee that chaos will ensue if what's
known as a brokered convention...some call it a contested convention...becomes reality. But know that there
really is no need to fear this for all a brokered convention means is
that no candidate received enough delegates on the first round to lock-in the nomination and that now further voting must be done. It is not a
sign that any 'monkey business' has been going on or that any will go
on.
Simply put...the convention would then be deadlocked with the nominee now having to be chosen through multiple
rounds of voting by delegates from all 50 states and the six U.S.
territories instead of the delegates entering the floor with the nominee
already chosen. And a brokered convention is legal, above board, and
is playing by the rules no matter that Trump supporters claim otherwise.
So what is it that Trump supporters are claiming...they're claiming
delusions...for their thinking is that if Donald Trump wins the most
states and delegates but still falls short of the 1,237 delegates needed
to legally secure the nomination that the nomination should be his no
matter numbers to the contrary. And the fact is that if a brokered
convention happens it will be the result of a process that is not a
secret for as I mentioned above no one candidate garnered the must
have majority of votes...it is that simple. And, according to
Real Clear Politics, it's the way individual states select delegates
that allows for the fact that if any of what some call 'establishment'
exists, it’s at the less high-profile state and county levels. And those delegates would be picked from amongst local level party officials or from a coalition of delegates for
'underperforming' candidates who could then band together and decide the
nomination allowing someone who may have only managed to take third or
fourth place in the overall voting to become the nominee.
And yes, this would be within the confines of the rules and this is what
has many of the Trumpers in an uproar no matter that's how the game is
played. And if it did get to that point, it would be the first time in
40 years that no one candidate had enough delegates going into the first
round of balloting...with the last time being when incumbent President
Gerald Ford and nominee Ronald Reagan battled for the nomination. But
deals were made before the first round of balloting allowing Ford enough
votes to secure the nomination stopping the convention from going
brokered. However, in 1948, there was indeed a brokered convention when
Thomas Dewey became the Republican nominee after three ballots, but it
must be remembered that when it came to the general election both Ford
and Dewey lost.
But when all is said and done the race to the nomination comes down to
one simple number...1,237... and coming short of that number is
the only way to stop Donald Trump from becoming the nominee...and doing
so by playing by the rules for to do otherwise will not only ruin the
process but would render what remains of the Republican party, for all intents and
purposes, null and void.
So how do the other candidates rack up the needed numbers to stop Donald
Trump...the only way to do so is by blending their combined delegates
together to secure the needed count to stop Trump from reaching the
magic number of 1,237.
And to that affect Ted Cruz should not be telling Marco Rubio or John
Kasich to drop out of the race as both men are needed in order to stop
Trump from getting the nomination...as in the more delegates they rack
up in addition to Cruz's number the more Trump will not reach the needed
1,237 number. And Ted Cruz needs to realize that he cannot reach that
number alone because he no chance of winning the delegate rich northeast
states...especially the delegates from the Trump friendly
winner-take-all states of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania...yet
the three's numbers together can stop Trump and send the convention to
brokered. So, Ted Cruz needs to rethink his words...seriously rethink
his words...or not only will he not get the nomination but he will be
the cause of the White House staying in Democratic control.
But the fact remains that it's all about numbers and the math is far
from certain, but here is one scenario where the convention could go
brokered. If Marco Rubio can beat Trump in Florida, if John Kasich can
beat him in Ohio, and if Ted Cruz can pick up more of the 'Plains'
states, then Trump might very well come up short of the all important
1,237 number, despite his currently being well ahead of all his current
rivals.
So what happens at a brokered convention...first, it must be remembered
that when you hear that a certain candidate has won a certain number of
delegates, that does not mean that said candidate gets to hand-pick those who
will go to the convention to represent him. It's each individual
state's Republican party hierarchy who choose from party members those
who will go to the convention with orders to vote for said candidate
during the first round of balloting, but only during the first round,
then being released to vote for the candidate of their choice at the
next round of balloting.
Second, now the reeling and dealing begins...to talk, vote, and
negotiate no matter how long it takes until one and only one
candidate...or even an individual not on the original ballot...garners
that magic number of 1,237.
And while 1,237 is indeed the number needed to secure the nomination,
there is something most don't know about and that's an item called
'Rule 40'...a rule where a candidate has to win a majority of the
delegates in at least eight states in order to be considered for the
nomination. And that in and of itself is quite unfair as winning eight
large states but states with a low delegate count cancels out someone
who might only win five or six states but having those states being
delegate rich. But the rules are allowed to be amended right up to the
time the convention begins, so we can assume that 'Rule 40' will be
changed or even eliminated making a brokered convention more likely. And
while delegates are obligated to vote for a certain candidate during
round one they do not have to show support for rules which blatantly
favor one candidate over another.
To break down the numbers even further...if the convention does indeed
go brokered...and I hope it will...what exactly will happen. First, we
need to look at the delegate count as it stands now. Right now at the
time of this writing Democrat masquerading as a Republican Donald Trump
has 384 delegates; Ted Cruz has 300 delegates; Marco Rubio has 151
delegates; and John Kasich has 37 delegates; with March 15th being the
target date to see if Rubio and Kasich are still viable candidates.
However, and this is important, to date, Cruz's, Rubio's, and Kasich's
numbers together reach 488 delegates 'trumping' Trump, and as the
primaries and caucuses continue that number will increase, that's why
Rubio and Kasich need to stay in the race...to form a wall with Cruz
that Trump cannot cross over, thus denying him the magic 1,237 number.
Now if no candidate currently running reaches the needed 1,237 number
after the first ballot is called, all delegates are released from who
they are pledged to and can vote for the candidate of their choice or
they can nominate anyone they so choose to in the next round of
balloting. This is the part that many fear for what if a delegate
nominated Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan...and what if one of those who
already dropped out of the race was nominated, say Chris Christie...and
what if that person got 1,237 delegates to support them...the fact is
they would then become the defacto nominee. And it's legal, binding, and
nothing to the contrary could be done to stop it. So the goal now is to
not just stop Donald Trump but to assure that either Cruz, Rubio, or
Kasich is the nominee as these men are the ones the public already has
voted for.
And how do we assure this happens...by making sure that Marco Rubio wins Florida
and John Kasich wins Ohio. That puts both men back into the fray and makes
them and Ted Cruz a possible nominee even if the convention goes
brokered, because delegates would then be freed to vote for the one they
personally think could best beat Hillary. And know, too, that there are
now percentages of remaining delegates that Trump needs to win the
nomination...Trump needs another 54% of all the remaining
delegates while Ted Cruz needs to win 60% of said delegates; Rubio needs
to win around 69% of the delegates; and Kasich needs to win about 77% of the still to be
awarded delegates...and the range from 54% to 77% is not
insurmountable, it being only a 23% differential between first and last
place...and being reachable only through a brokered convention.
So now as the primaries move forward and more delegates are amassed by
each man only time will tell who becomes the nominee. But one thing I
will say is that with the anger in our country today...an anger fueled
on by the one candidate who has no tangible policies to back up his
multi-level bloviations...we cannot and must not allow anger at the
process to lead to a write-in Donald Trump party to emerge as that will
most assuredly hand the presidency to Hillary...but maybe that was

And so Reince Preibus' words will sadly come to pass as Donald Trump will soon have the delegates needed to become the GOP nominee...on the first ballot no less...much to the chagrin of we true conservatives everywhere.
And in no uncertain terms now comes the blame game...and rightly so...for 'reality TV star' Donald Trump is a 'sound-byte' candidate and nothing more. Beating out more qualified, learned, and experienced candidates, Trump...actually the consummate politician never mind his words otherwise...secured the nomination by stirring up the anger of the masses and by feeding into their hate of all things 'establishment'...a term...as is 'RINO'...media fabricated to divide and fracture the Republican party...which they successfully have done.
But even with Trump's media love-fest...a love-fest not unlike the media's twice anointing of Barack HUSSEIN Obama as the supposed savior of us all...the media alone is not the sole reason why Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee come July...there is equal blame to go around...equal blame if not more so that must be laid at the same feet of those who cost Mitt Romney the presidency back in 2012...and that is the ever-vocal Evangelical Christian movement who deems all they say and believe to be gospel truth...gospel truth that must be followed by all or else.
And while many Evangelicals do not religiously go to church...and know they like to chastise others for not doing so...many still identify themselves as Christian, as witnessed by all the brouhaha over gay wedding cakes, pizza parlors, and a Supreme Court ruling over the legalities alone of same-sex marriage. For this they united claiming the wrath of God will be on those who condone their self-perceived abomination called homosexuality...for this they united as one voice...yet now that voice is silenced with the older more religious folks more politically conservative and voting so, while younger Evangelicals are showing to be more politically moderate...more with the times if you will...more in line with the Trump ideology of live and let live...basically liberal light.
"Believe me...believe me"...Trump repeats over and over and the Evangelicals believe him because they no longer have faith that the Republican hierarchy will do their bidding, choosing instead to believe lies and at best half-truths because they are angry and disheartened. And history has shown time and again that this type of thinking does come back to bite one...eight years of Barack HUSSEIN Obama should be proof enough of that. And the Evangelicals having allowed Trump's lies coupled with his bully tactics to become their new truth, and with their overwhelming support for this Democrat dressed in Republican clothing...'Made in China' clothing I might add...proves that they indeed have allowed history...2012's history...to repeat itself.
With Trump proposing that the way to stop American companies from going overseas to take advantage of cheap labor, what he calls China's illegal export subsidies, along with taking advantage of many countries lax environmental standards, is to place a 35% tax...raising tariffs actually...on goods coming into the U.S. But what Trump doesn't say is that by doing so prices will not only be raised on said goods coming into this country but will correspondingly rise...to a tune of 10% to 15%...on 'Made in America' goods as well, thus not only slowing down but actually negating any recovery...albeit a very small one...we currently have. And why...do the words 'trade war' ring a bell. And what Trump's economic proposal actually does is indirectly subsidize U.S. manufacturers via the setting of higher prices...higher prices which would result in across the board inflation which then in turn would lead to even higher unemployment numbers, and that in and of itself would hurt the angry white working class and the poor even more.
