The Political Weaponization of COVID-19

We all know that the liberal agenda of
never letting a good crisis go to waste is now kicking into high gear
what with the latest coronavirus numbers saying that more than 1.4
million people worldwide have been confirmed as being infected by the COVID-19 virus
with 83,000 deaths.* And with the latest numbers here in
the U.S., as I write this, showing 400.549 folks being confirmed infected with 12,857 deaths...never mind that the current 2019-2020 flu season (which is now being downplayed by the CDC and the media) has
sickened almost 39 million Americans killing upwards of 24 thousand**
of them...the Democrats still choose to ignore the flu numbers while they
relish in misplaced glory that COVID-19 is all President Trump's
fault.
Never mind that this crisis too shall
pass...as all crisis' due so in time...never mind that to date upward
of more than 1.6 billion people worldwide have contracted this year's
flu. Never mind any of that as the Democrats keep pushing a doom and
gloom COVID-19 scenario as a means by which to try and implement
their hoped for progressive “new norm” instead of the
temporary, albeit serious, oddity that the virus is while ignoring
the fact that COVID-19's spread could have been prevented had China
been more forthcoming. Instead Democrats have chosen to maliciously
weaponize what should have been a medical issue alone into the third
installment of their “we must impeach Trump”
attempted political coup.
And as panic continues to grip our
country, with the severity of said panic depending on where in the
country you live, coupled with the fact that toilet paper is still
this years must have hot ticket item, we can clearly see that April
is shaping up to be a much different animal than February or even
March was. And why...because first, while our country is not under a
national "stay-at-home" order...which President Trump knows would have
some screaming that he's taking away states' rights and abusing his
power...we still have in place highly recommended “suggestions”
to "stay at home" issued by the federal and many state and local
governments. And second, the panic...which the media reports on
24/7...is now being fueled on by the dismal March jobs numbers
showing that both the American worker and our country in general is
hurting. And it's this hurt that the Democrats are playing upon as a
means by which to not only slam our president, but to make light of
the American worker's plight and hence the entirety of “We the
People” as well for why else would the stimulus bill be so
“pork” fattened.
Now as for those jobs numbers. In
February we were basking in the fact that America saw a 3.5%
unemployment rate and that our economy seemed unstoppable...which at
the time it was. And then...boom...a nasty little virus that
originated in China's abomination known as “Wet Markets”
turns both Trump's and America's economic wins into what are now
being perceived and peddled by Democrats as economic loses, something
not of Trump's nor America's doing.
And while these latest jobs numbers
currently show our country at a 4.4% unemployment rate...a rate that
will be adjusted upward when over the next few months the
as expected revisions truly start reflecting the still now being registered and
processed March unemployment claims... remember that the jobs report
is actually made up of two parts whose numbers are combined. Part one
shows households and part two shows business establishments with part
one becoming the unemployment rate and part two showing just how many
jobs were created or lost in a given month. And not to be forgotten
is that the March jobs numbers will most likely also be reflected in
April's jobs report because America's economy has basically, except
for essential services, been shut down as reflected as per the
current percentage drop in economic output. And it's this which
directly leads to job losses, which then leads to income losses,
which in turn leads to reduced spending and even more job losses...a
vicious economic cycle indeed.
And while said jobs report coupled with
truly ridiculous panic buying is temporarily causing nationwide
supermarket shortages of certain items, the Democrats continue
screaming that Trump is leading us into not just a recession but into
a depression...a depression not unlike that of the Great Depression
of the 1930's. However, nothing could be further from the truth
because as with most crisis scenarios there is a light at the end of
the tunnel. And in the case of COVID-19 that light will come with the
approaching summer months...viruses do tend to temper down with
summer's heat...and once that happens and as the stay-in-place
directives are lifted our economy will come roaring back as people
return to work, new jobs and businesses are created, and life gets
back to normal...not the Democrats so wanted progressive“new
normal” but the normal that existed before COVID-19.
And why will this happen...simply
because of numbers... tangible indisputable numbers...and numbers
themselves don't lie. Take for example, the Great Depression when almost
a third...as in 33%...of all U.S. economic output disappeared as well
as seeing a full 20% of the working population losing their jobs, with both
economic and jobs recovery taking years. And while today's key
economists believe that the U.S. annualized rate output (as in the
calculating of a short-term calculation or rate into an annual one)
in the months April to June may actually fall by 14% or more, few if
any of these same economists believe that such a decline will
continue over a long period of time instead saying that jobs will
sooner rather than later become more readily available. And
again why...because even though unemployment claims will increase for
awhile so too will government spending, which will come in the guise
of the amount of money our government transfers to not only “We
the People” people but to both large and small business as
well. And this in turn aids in acting as
a “hedge” of sorts which will help to prevent a
downturn into a depression.
Now as for a recession, sadly, certain
parts of our country are already seeing that happen and it's not all
because of COVID-19 as the Democrats want you to believe. Remember,
as the stock market readjusts itself...as it must do from time to
time...it's primarily doing so because we’ve been in the middle of
the longest boom this economy has ever seen. And that's according to
Andrea Eisfeldt, an economics professor at the UCLA Anderson School
of Management who also stated that, “Whenever we’re in a boom,
there’s an impending recession because we know that we experience
business cycles in the U.S. economy.” And what has COVID-19
done but lead in part to a downturn in business because of the what
she said is the “health shock that we’re experiencing.”
And it's that very shock and its
corresponding fear that the Democrats are zeroing in on as no one was
prepared for a virus out of China to wreck such havoc on the world so
speak. And that havoc comes in the guise of both the total number of
much needed factories closing down en-mass, and with “social
distancing” being all of our temporary, albeit annoying, new
disruption as well as distraction. And besides, President Trump
believes that if a true countrywide recession were to occur that it
would be what's know as a V-shaped recession...a recession where once
the economy hits bottom and turns up, it will soar, as in 1946 when
pent-up demand from World War II was unleashed and America began to
churn out cars and consumer goods as rapidly as it had weapons of war.
And what are we being distracted
from...how about the fact that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is yet
again trying to discredit and possibly impeach President Trump, this
time over what she considers both his reaction and what she deems
inaction to the COVID-19 so-called pandemic. Knowing that neither Joe
Biden nor Bernie Sanders can beat Trump come November, last Thursday
Pelosi hoped to pull the proverbial rabbit out of a hat by announcing
the creation of a new House Select Committee on Coronavirus...a
committee which she says will oversee exactly how the Trump
administration manages the recently passed $2 trillion stimulus
package...a package that was designed to help both restart the
economy and help the American people, especially those now out of
work...a package both she and her “it's all about garnering
votes” miscreant Democrat cohorts held up until most of all the
“pork” they wanted was buried deep within it.
But did she stop there...of course not
for Nancy Pelosi also said that this committee will oversee the Trump
administration’s actual response to the pandemic, and “press
to ensure that the federal response is based on the best possible
science and guided by the nation's best health experts, and it will
be to ensure that the taxpayers' dollars are spent wisely and
efficiently,” And what is this but Nancy Pelosi talking out of
both sides of her mouth for the woman who is vehemently against
closing our borders and who continues to support late term abortion
as well as the funding of the abortion mill known as Planned
Parenthood, thinks she and the Democrats can better handle the stated
$2 trillion stimulus package than either Trump or the Republicans
can.
And then there's Senate Minority Leader
Chuck Schumer who also last week started acting up again by sending a
letter to President Trump demanding...yes demanding...that he appoint
a military official as a czar to manage production and distribution
of medical equipment and other needed medical supplies while he's
invoking the Defense Production Act during this ongoing COVID-19
crisis. This act, comprised of three major sections, gives Trump in
section one the authority to require businesses to accept and
prioritize contracts for materials deemed necessary for national
defense no matter any loss said business might incur, as well as
allowing him to designate any given material as being prohibited from
hoarding and/or price gouging. Section two gives Trump the authority
to establish a system by which to allocate materials, services and
facilities to promote national defense; while section three affords
the president control over the civilian economy so that much needed
and sometimes scarce materials necessary to national defense are
readily available for national defense.
Translation: President Trump has the
legal authority to do whatever needs to be done and the last thing this
country needs, most especially in a time of crisis, is yet another
Obama-style czar overseeing and overstepping what are Trump's legally
allowed for duties, especially when and in no need of a title, “A
‘senior military officer’ is in charge of purchasing,
distributing, etc. His name is Rear Admiral John Polowczyk...If you
remember, my team gave you this information, but for public relations
purposes, you choose to ignore it,” was our president's
response to Schumer's uncalled for political pot-stirring letter. And
besides, many private companies have already been voluntarily doing
what Trump could order them to do without even being asked...even GM
is now complying after a public call to task.
And this rightful “we're all in it
together” attitude is a perfect example of true American
exceptionalism...something the Democrats know little to nothing
about. And besides if Trump did issue such orders the Democrats would
scream that he's invoking martial law... the man simply can't win if
he does and he surely can't win if he doesn't...a catch 22 situation
bar none.
So as our COVID-19 numbers continue to
go up with experts now saying we should see a peak in both cases and
deaths in about two weeks and then start to see a flattening out of
the infamous curve, all I can say to my readers is stay safe above
all else and maybe say a prayer for our president who is trying his
best to get us through a situation out of all our control. And when
this situation has passed, which it assuredly will, out relationship
with China must be reevaluated, but that's for a future article soon
to come.

if on the outside chance the 'I' word does lay low for awhile know it
will rear its ugly head late on Tuesday night, November 3rd, when
Donald J. Trump officially wins his second term in office...a win
that will probably be the biggest landslide in decades. And as an
added bonus I bet the Republicans will not only keep but increase
their numbers in the Senate and take back the House as well. And the
direct cause of the Democrats going “splat” lays
directly at the feet of acquittal deniers Nancy Pelosi, Adam
Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and of course Chuck Schumer...the Senate
minority leader caught on tape during the Senate impeachment phase
talking to no one as he shooed said no one out of his designated
Senate chair.*

Seeing imaginary vote tampering Russians I guess.
But going “splat” actually puts it mildly as the
Democrats went into full meltdown mode as soon as their Senate demand
to hear from those whom they considered to be key witnesses was
formally voted down. Well, actually they started their meltdown even
before the final gavel on the House hearings signaled the end was
near for when one holds an inquiry made up solely of partisan shills
masquerading as witnesses minus the promised but never delivered
whistleblower who set this entire nonsense into motion..as in (shhh)
Eric Ciaramella...the Democrats had to know that their case against
President Trump would go nowhere in the Senate. And sometimes going
nowhere comes at a very high cost...a cost “We the People” had
to foot the bill for courtesy of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars.
And the cost for the Democrat-led House inquiry alone cost “We
the People” over three and half million of our hard earned
taxpayer dollars which when broken down was mostly used to pay the
salaries of the 106 congressional staffers from the House
Intelligence Committee, the Judiciary Committee, and the Oversight
and Reform Committee...clerical staffers working on impeachment
from the end of September to mid-December. And that dollar amount
also includes having to pay the hourly fees for the Democrats six
anything but unbiased supposed Constitutional attorneys who appeared
during the House hearings.
Our taxpayer dollars so not well spent as the Democrats knew even
before they called for President Trump's impeachment that while they
could impeach him in their Democrat controlled House, they would
never see him removed from office in the Republican controlled
Senate. Simply, the Democrats knew from day one that in the end Trump
would be acquitted, and yet revenge coupled with hatred for our
president led them ever forward.
And while President Trump was rightfully acquitted in the
end...rightfully acquitted as in not guilty, as in not removed from office...know that
the Democrats call for impeachment was built neither upon a
foundation of facts or even upon Constitutionally sound impeachable
offenses but upon a foundation of hurt feelings, nonacceptance of
election results, and the delusions of losers who have yet to realize
that their time in the political spotlight was and remains over. The
once honorable party of JFK has been hijacked by a new breed of
young Democrats... Democrat-Socialists they call
themselves...Democrats so far to the left that they're no longer
recognizable to the Democrat party's old establishment guard.
Nevertheless, the Democrat old guard caved one by one, leaving
moderation and bipartisanship behind, with their party and its legacy
now laying in ruins after having cast aside the law that is the
Constitution. And they did so while embracing supposition, hearsay,
and lies all in an effort to negate the results of an election that
took place nearly four years ago...all in an effort to try and remove a duly elected man
from office who denied the “anointed one” his
defacto third term in office courtesy of his pulling what would have
been Hillary Clinton's presidential strings.
And that folks is the truth...the whole truth and nothing but the
truth...behind what in reality remains a Democrat attempted political
coup.
And that truth coalesced into one simple fact...fact...not
supposition, hearsay or party infused lies...as Adam Schiff and crew
presenting their case for impeachment with events so not truthfully
told that at times said events were simply made up to fit their
overtly anti-Trump agenda. Now add that fact into the package of what
were carefully orchestrated and rehearsed discovery processes held
behind closed doors; partisan witnesses spewing hyperbole, pure
nonsensical innuendos, lies, and what ifs; and top it all off with a neat
little partisan blue bow and “We the People” were
delivered a package that helped to perpetrate Adam Schiff's fantasy
vision of what he determined should be the ultimate payback for the Democrats
not attaining their sought after prize...the White House.
But unfortunately, Adam Schiff was and
still is not alone in his continuing to wear on his sleeve his
all-consuming hatred for President Trump for again entering into the
political fray...not that she ever really left it...is House Majority
Leader Nancy Pelosi...the very woman who first was against
impeachment unless it was bipartisan before she was for
it...bipartisanship now be damned. That is she was for it only after the
likes of “the squad”...and
maybe even aforementioned wannabe third-term denied defacto president
Barack HUSSEIN Obama...got to her.
Got to
her indeed for Nancy Pelosi not only shared Adam Schiff's thoughts
about President Trump but also shared his delusions regarding the
House impeachment process itself. In fact, Pelosi had been spewing
all over the bought and paid for liberal media that, "Once
a president is impeached, he's impeached for life," always
forgetting that once a president is acquitted in the Senate that he
is acquitted...as in found not guilty...for life as well...and that
said acquittal is historically more important than the accusations
made.
And know that Adam Schiff saw himself
as being the Democrats knight in shining armor who would right the
2016 election's wrongs forgetting, just like Pelosi did, the fact
that he never would be the decider of Trump's fate. But while Schiff
thankfully failed in his quest some heroes did emerge during the
Senate phase one
being Sen. Rand Paul.
After his question was denied by Chief Justice John Roberts during
the Q and A portion of the Senate trial because it mentioned the
whistleblower's name, Rand Paul cleverly used the period reserved for
senators impeachment speeches to read aloud the name Eric
Ciaramella...the Obama planted little weasel who first
brought President Trump's supposedly unlawful conduct regarding Ukraine
to the public's attention.
But to
the Democrats chagrin most Republicans did not care that Rand Paul
said whisttleblower's Eric Ciaramella's name because Paul also made
it clear that while he supports protections against reprisal
for whistleblowers he said that whistleblowers do not necessarily
deserve anonymity. And I agree with Rand Paul as seeking anonymity
means one does not have the courage to stand by their convictions let
alone stand by their accusations made. Anonymity also means denying
the accused the right to face their accuser and besides,
Constitutional law itself does not “preserve anonymity.” Kudos
to Rand Paul on this one.
So while in the end the House impeached
President Trump...impeached him in a mostly party line vote after a partisan
rigged denial of “due process”...Republicans in the Senate
again stood strong with President Trump... except for Mitt Romney that
is.
Now a pariah within his own party and
rightfully so, Romney threw the law of the Constitution aside and
actually admitted he cast his vote to convict President Trump of
abuse of power based solely upon his faith and conscience instead of
on Constitutional law. But let's be honest here, religion and
conscience has nothing to do with it for Mitt Romney cast said vote
because he remains an angry and vindictive man...angry that he will
never be president... vindictive against President Trump for some long
ago tweets and his being passed over for Secretary of State. Now
becoming the first U.S. Senator to vote to convict a president of his
own party in an impeachment trial...especially doing so knowing of
the unfair House events leading up to said trial...what Romney did
with that vote was not just join the so-called “resistance”
but for all intents and purposes put a 'D' next to his name.
So when the Senate vote was finally
taken it too fell along party lines, save for Mitt Romney on charge
one. And with that vote Mitt Romney has to know that any political relevance
he once had is now gone,
President Donald Trump not only remains in
office but is now seeing his approval numbers climbing while Adam
Schiff still bloviates about Trump selling Alaska and that any
Senator who voted not to impeach “must be held accountable”
for said vote...which sounds like a veiled threat to me.
And as expected the Democrats totally came unglued after the
acquittal. Chuck Schumer called said acquittal “virtually
valueless” and that
“there's a giant asterisk next to the president's acquittal...because he was acquitted without a fair trial"...thus implying
the House hearings were fair...while Nancy Pelosi accused
both President Trump and Senate Republicans of having “normalized
lawlessness and rejected the system of checks and balances."
But what they say pales in comparison to the fallout the Democrat
party itself is now facing with it having to pay the political
price come November for not only wasting our taxpayer dollars on something they
knew all along would never come to fruition, but who now see their
party being truly divided. Too many establishment
Democrats...especially those in red states...are more that a bit
peeved with both Pelosi and Schiff for they know it's
Democrats who will pay the price in the upcoming election simply because their party leaders would not stop this attempted political coup from going
forward.
But thankfully, at least for now, impeachment
is behind us...President Donald J. Trump remains president...Adam
Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Jerry Nadler, and Chuck Schumer have been
exposed as the Constitutional anarchists that they really are, and
Mitt Romney has sealed his political fate...what a sad end for a once
honorable man. But why do I again say for now...because on the
positive end if the Republicans do win back the House they will surely push for
expungement of the books putting this impeachment nonsense
to rest once and for all...while on the negative end House Judiciary
Chair Jerry Nadler has stated that he will try to subpoena John
Bolton to appear before the House.
These four Democrats refuse to let go
as their hatred for this president knows no end leaving me to wonder just
what did Hillary promise them if she had become president. But no
matter for Donald Trump is and will remain our president until
January 2025, meaning those in Congress need to get back to work and
do the people's business otherwise get the hell out...it is as simple
as that.

votes...it truly is hard for one man alone to stand against a party
of immoral miscreants, liars, and thieves, most especially when his own
party can't see that the call for his impeachment is but another
"divert and deflect" action to keep our focus away from the southern
border and all those incoming 2020 Democrat votes. Remember, for the next
year and a half it will be all about votes, why else would Democrats
have deliberately set out to not accomplish a thing since President
Trump took office.
Remember, during
Thomas Jefferson's time we united together to fight against both tyranny and a tyrant...a tyrant in the guise of England's King
George...and we won. And yet today it seems too many Republicans are
giving up the battle instead of uniting together to fight against the
enemy within...as in today's Democrat party...the very party whose media allies
don't even try to hide their disdain and loathing for our president,
his family, and his ever so successful economic policies.
Ignoring
the fact that it's these very policies that have
made...as per Trump's campaign promise...“America great
again” both economically and
militarily at home and abroad, and that it's these same policies that have now
reignited a sense of cautious optimism and pride we on the right have
regarding our country's future...the media instead chooses to herald
the anything but benefits of socialism as well as the new
Democrat-Socialist party itself along with its new breed of leaders
who do not have America's best interests at heart. And even sadder is
that Republicans on “the Hill”
remain eerily silent regarding the lefts all-consuming call
for the impeachment of a duly elected president already proven by one
of the Democrats own to have done nothing wrong,
So questions must be answered as to why
certain Republican leaders remain silent while ignoring
Trump's stellar track record, and why one in said party is now siding
with the Democrats in their call for Trump's impeachment...we'll get to
that in a bit. First let's look at that track record...as in
the fact that under President Trump's leadership and because of his
policies the unemployment rate is at a 50-year low; companies here in
America are adding a record number of jobs and American companies
based overseas are now returning home; the gross domestic product
(GDP) grew by 3.2 percent in the first quarter of this year;
the stock market is soaring with analysts predicting it to go even
higher; the Trump tax cuts allowed everyday Americans to pocket
more of their hard earned monies; recession is not on the economic
horizon; our country has regained the world's respect we lost under
the presidency of Barack HUSSEIN Obama; etc., etc., etc...the list is
one our president, our country, the Republican party, and "We the People" can be proud of...unless one is a Democrat of course.
Now think about this...the Democrats
have accomplished nothing of substance legislative wise in the past two and a half
years since President Trump, the man they call “lawless”
and “a threat to democracy,” took office...except to point accusatory fingers at him while filing
baseless lawsuits against him while Obama appointed activist
judges stall anything pertaining to the implementation of his
rightful immigration plan. Using that time to push forward their agenda of baby killing and garnering by any means possible the
aforementioned illegal vote, Democrats have blatantly ignored the
job they were elected to do...as in the “people's business”...to
focus instead on their newest call for Trump's impeachment based solely upon
the alluded to words of a bought-and-paid-for Special Council who
himself...I cannot repeat it enough... found that President Trump did nothing wrong.
And to add fuel to the smoldering
impeachment fire we now see Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schummer
having the unmitigated gall to earlier this week post on twitter
these very words and I quote, “ President @realDonaldTrump ought
to stop acting like a showman and start working with Democrats on our
serious proposals to address the nation's most pressing needs.”
This from the man who helped lead the
charge to block, ban or simply ignore each and every idea, proposal,
bill or call for discussion initiated either by Trump himself or by
anyone on the right side of the aisle. And Democrats are reveling in
the fact that debate over whether or not to impeach President Trump
has now totally dominated the entirety of discussion within the House
Democratic Caucus and on Capitol Hill itself, thus allowing this to be
their excuse for why they can't get any real work done.
And so the party without morals has now
decided it's their moral duty to hold this president accountable no
matter that they themselves have no interest in doing their jobs,
choosing instead to waste more time and more of our taxpayer dollars
on a call for impeachment that in the end even they know will go
nowhere. And why...because while such a call might pass in the Democrat
controlled House it will most definitely not pass in the Republican
controlled Senate as the numbers simply are not there...and all
America will have to show for the time wasted and dollars spent is
shades of Billy-Boy Clinton all over again.
Translation: America's so-called
“inheritance” is willfully and wrongly being spent on yet
another wild “divert and deflect” political goose chase
that Democrats hope will serve them well at the ballot box come 2020,
as again it's all about votes.
So what are Republican leaders doing to
stop or at least slow down the Democrats call for President Trump's
impeachment...not enough for some it seems...while many Republicans hold out hope
that this misguided and malicious attempt at payback for Hillary's
loss will die of its own accord. And who knows maybe they're right, because many on the left are also getting tired of hearing the “Impeach
Trump” mantra being spouted ad-nauseum over and over again.
And while the majority of the American
people do want to put the 2016 election to rest...we unfortunately now see clamoring for his fifteen minutes
of impeachment infamy one lone Republican...actually a libertarian masquerading as a Republican...Rep. Justin Amash from Michigan...now not only speaking out in support
of the Democrats call for Trump's impeachment, but resigning from the
House Freedom Caucus, which he was a founding member of, simply because
of their support for President Trump. And Amash, an Orthodox Christian Palestinian-American, is the very man who has previously spoken out against
Trump's policies regarding the war in Yemen, funding for the border
wall, the proposed temporary muslim immigration ban, and was the only Republican to vote against New Jersey Rep. Chris Smith's (R), bill that would have enhanced the role of the anti-Semitism monitor (this failed bill preceded H.Res.183, the Democrat passed watered down version), as well as voting against additional funding for Israel’s anti-missile system.
Also, Justin Amash is rumored to be considering running as a libertarian against President Trump in 2020.
Now saying that President Trump’s actions and behavior, as per his take away from Robert Mueller’s report, do “meet the threshold”
for high crimes and misdemeanors, but what Rep. Amash doesn't get is that
it was deemed by Mueller himself that no crime
was ever committed by Trump. So, I ask Rep. Amash this
question...how then can President Trump's actions and behavior "meet
the threshold” of crimes being committed...simply...they
cannot. And even 'Never Trumper' Utah Sen. Mitt Romney stated that
while he thought Amash's words were a “courageous statement”
on the Congressman's part...which I say they were anything
but...Romney nevertheless made it clear to Amash that impeachment is
not warranted based on the Special Counsel’s report. Even a Trump
backstabber gets it right on occasion I guess.
But with everything for the Democrats remaining all about
votes...illegal votes...dead votes...muslim votes...votes they'll do
or say anything to get so long as those votes go straight down the
D-column...it might surprise some to hear yet another truth the media will not
say...as in not all Democrats are on board for impeachment as a few
key Democrats realize that such a move might actually backfire on
them and cause them to lose votes come the 2020 election. In fact,
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently again stated that, “I don’t
want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison”...as in wanting
to see Trump defeated at the ballot box and then be prosecuted as a
private citizen for his “alleged crimes.”
Thankfully, neither scenario is likely to happen.
Even House Majority Leader
Steny Hoyer along with House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff
(D-Calif.), Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), Ways and
Means Chairman Richard Neal (D-Mass.) and Foreign Affairs Chairman
Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) are against impeaching Trump at this current
stage of the game. In fact, Chairmans Schiff and Neal have both
stated that if Democrats are going to open an inquiry into
impeachment they best be ready to actually impeach, which the Democratic
Caucus itself has said that is something they are not yet ready and might never be ready to do,
And while Hoyer himself recently stating that, “Going forward
on impeachment is not worthwhile at this point,” several
members of the House Judiciary Committee feel just the opposite and
see impeachment proceedings as the only recourse the Democrats have
left to right what they consider the Hillary wrong. Truly, the
Democrats are a House divided amongst themselves, and it's this very
division that just might be the Republicans saving grace for as the
old adage goes, “A house divided amongst itself cannot stand.”
I think Thomas Jefferson himself would
agree, and I think even he would say to the Democrats, “Get back
to the job you were elected to do, you've stonewalled the call to
liberty and prevented a duly-elected president from doing all he can
do long enough.” And I say
wait until the Democrats see just how poorly they do at the 2020
ballot box...their bought-and-paid for votes sure aren't going to
help them then...and no party deserves to go down in flames more than
the obstructionist Democrats who still can't get over their 2016
presidential loss.

He walked out of the meeting.
“Bravo
President Trump” is all I can say as one can only beat their
head against a brick wall just so many times. And in this case that
brick wall was and remains House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi and
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer...two very rotten peas in the
same uber liberal, America-hating, illegal-loving, and oh so
socialist pod.
And said walk-out happened during
President Trump's White House meeting with Democrat party leaders a
day after his Oval Office speech where he presented his case for why
a wall must be built while at the same time highlighting the human
cost of what he called the "ever growing humanitarian and security
crisis" of still ongoing illegal immigration.
First, know that President Trump, for
the most part, presented his case well even with his what I'll call a
deliberate or otherwise “slip of the tongue” where in the
speech's beginning he said “illegal migration” instead of
either “illegal immigration” or “illegal invasion”
(which truthfully is exactly what it is), and where he did not
tell America the real reason why Democrats refuse to fund the
wall...as in they will lose the illegals votes...it is all about
votes after all.
Instead, Trump pointing out the very many
tangible and pressing reasons why the wall must be built... including
reasons ranging the gamut from the fact that by building the wall it
would help close the “pipeline” that permits "vast
quantities of illegal drugs” to cross our border and that
"Every week, 300 of our citizens are killed by heroin alone –
90 percent of which floods across from our southern border"...to
the still unfolding humanitarian crisis where children are being used
as human pawns by “vicious coyotes and ruthless gangs,” and
to where one in three women are sexually assaulted on the dangerous
trek up through Mexico. And our president added to that by saying,
“Women and children are the biggest victims by far of our broken
system."
But,
while saying those very words proves PresidentTrump's
heart surely is in the right place, he did, however, miss a golden
opportunity to say for all to hear that it's not our system that is
broken and that there would be no so-called “victims” of
those wanting into our country, if those wanting in honored the
process and came here legally by following our already on-the-books
immigration laws. But then again without an invasion...a Democrat
initiated and funded invasion...how could said Democrats garner such
a massive all-at-one-time voting block if not for the promised
freebies and handouts in exchange for the illegals votes. A catch 22
situation if ever there was one.
However, for me the highlight of his entire speech came not when
President Trump listed the reasons why the wall must be built...we
Republicans and Conservatives already know those reasons well...but
when he spoke of the American victims of this illegal invasion. Now
hitting home the very core reason of why this invasion must be stopped at
all costs...as in the health, safety, and welfare of American
citizens...something Democrats could care less about...President
Trump simply and rightfully put Americans over illegals...as the way
it should always be...and he did so by paying tribute to the almost
3,000 law-abiding American citizens killed...murdered...by illegal
immigrants, including recently murdered, in cold blood, California
police Cpl. Ronil Singh, whose death we Republicans rightfully blame
on California's sanctuary laws...laws that prevent local law
enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
Saying, "America’s heart broke the day after Christmas
when a young police officer in California was savagely murdered in
cold-blood by an illegal alien who just came across the border...the
life of an American hero was stolen by someone who had no right to be
in our country." President Trump also reflected back on the
dozens of “Angel Families” he's personally met with whose
loved ones were “stolen by illegal immigration."
Adding, “How much more American blood must be shed before
Congress does its job?" saw President Trump laying down the
gauntlet which led to the a fore mentioned Situation Room meeting last
Wednesday that he walked out of.
And why exactly did he walk...because when President Trump asked,
“what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up,
are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or
Steel Barrier?”...House Speaker Nancy Pelosi flat out stated in
no uncertain terms, “NO.” So once again Nancy Pelosi
rejected supporting any and all funding for the wall with any
compromise on the Democrats part now also out of the question, thus
leaving her rejection to mean that the 25% of the government
currently closed...all nonessential services by the way...will remain
closed but for how long is anybody's guess.
Hope Nancy Pelosi and her ilk now realize exactly who is calling
the shots in the this obscene chess game over the much needed
wall...and it sure isn't her or her cohort Senate Minority Leader
Chuck Schumer, that much I can safely say. And dare we not forget that
back in February 2016, both voted to approve then-President Obama's
sending of what in the end amounted to a half-a-billion dollars of
our hard earned taxpayer monies to Jordan to help fund their building
of a wall between themselves and Syria in order to keep so-called
refugees, ISIS, and other terrorist groups out of their country.
Ironic isn't it that a muslim country...a country whose king is
directly tied to the Muslim Brotherhood... saw these two miscreants
helping to keep them safe but America and Americans they won't help
keep safe. Says a lot now doesn't it, and President Trump needs to
bring this out in the public venue...a tweet or two wouldn't hurt now
would it.
And President Trump should also speak and tweet about how Chuck
Schumer back in 2009 was a huge supporter and proponent of not only strong border
security but of legal immigration alone. Basically mimicking then what Trump is now proposing sees partisan politics being the main reason why Democrats oppose securing the border today.
And here, just a few years ago, Chuck Schumer calls illegal aliens "criminals" just like President Trump and many of we Republicans do today.
So with President Trump rightfully calling last Wednesday's
meeting “a total waste of time”...after all meeting with hypocrites always are...and with Democrats still
bloviating that Trump is “manufacturing a crisis, stoking fear,
and diverting attention” away from what they insist is turmoil
within his administration, our president is now hard at work trying
to get that much needed wall built. And he's trying to do so even
without Congress giving him the $5.7 billion funding he is asking
for.
“We're looking at a national emergency because we have a
national emergency." So said President Trump recently to a
group of reporters.
But the question is how can President Trump build the wall without
the needed Congressional monies?
The answer really is quite simple as in Trump's declaring a “national
emergency”...which legally as
president he surely can do...and then authorizing the wall to be
built by moving funds already appropriated for a specific purpose, but a
purpose those funds have yet to be used for, and “redirecting” those
funds to building the wall. And it just so happens that there is roughly
$20 billion for military construction projects just sitting there
with nary a construction project in sight, meaning Trump could
“redirect” those "unobligated funds" to building the wall as
that very money has already been appropriated by Congress.
Also, there’s a little-known section of the U.S. Code governing
the military that gives the defense secretary the authority to
undertake military construction projects “not otherwise
authorized by law” to support any troops deployed in a national
emergency requiring the use of the armed forces...and there are
indeed troops at our southern border.
But can President Trump simply declare a “national emergency”
let alone do a unilateral authorization and then shift the needed funds
from one designated area to a newly designated area?
Some legal scholars say no because Article I, Section 9 of the Constitution states that, “No money shall be
drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by
Law,” with no exception or even a reference to
"national emergencies." But there is also this point of view, "Congress chose not to put any substantial — or really
any — barriers on the president's ability to declare a national
emergency,"as perElizabeth Goitein, co-director of the Brennan Center for Justice's
Liberty and National Security Program.
So who is right...it really doesn't matter because in 1950, Congress gave presidents a
“lump sum of money” to be used at the president’s
discretion during times of a “national emergency,” including during times of war and/or natural catastrophes. And the
1950's law specifically mentions civil defense situations as awar situation, and really what is the ongoing illegal
invasion but a form of war...a "crisis" as President Trump called it in
his Oval Office address.
And at the very moment Trump would declare a “national
emergency,” he would be able to not only set aside many of the
current legal limits placed on his authority, but be granted access
to special powers...powers that allow him as president to bypass the
usual political process... powers that are contained in 136 different
provisions of law that Congress has passed over the years...96 of
which can be activated by the president alone. And this includes laws
allowing Trump to shut down many kinds of electronic communications
inside our country if he chose to do so...bet most didn't know that.
And then there's the National Emergencies Act of 1976, where under
this law...a law that gives no definition of what is or is not a
“national emergency”...President Trump would have complete
discretion to issue what's known as an “emergency declaration,”
but he must specify in the declaration which powers he intends to
use, issue public updates if he decides to invoke any of the granted
additional powers, and report to Congress on the government’s
emergency-related expenditures every six months. The state of
emergency would expire after a year unless Trump renews it, and the
Senate and the House must meet every six months while the emergency
is in effect “to consider a vote” on termination.
But even with all the above stated caveats involved, President Trump
does indeed have every legal right to tap into emergency presidential
powers thus bypassing Congress to access both the monies and the
resources needed to get the much needed wall built. And how it must
stick in the Democrats craw to know that even with their fighting
Trump every step of the way, in the end they will surely lose and the
wall will get built. And with their now being in control of the
House, Democrats will most assuredly try to block Trump from
his even declaring a “national emergency” even while knowing the
Republicans still control the Senate and will never go along with their
block...save for the likes of now Sen. Mitt Romney and one or two other senators
perhaps.
So as we now await President Trump's final decision as to whether
he will or will not declare a state of “national emergency,”
know that if he “can't make a deal with people that are
unreasonable," that a state of “national emergency”
could easily be declared by this week's end.
President Donald J. Trump...the man who is ever so skilled in making deals...the man who took an oath to protect the health, safety, and welfare of "We the American People," might just
pull this off and get the wall built post-haste. And he'll do it not because he
wants to rub it in the faces of the Democrats, but because he knows
well it's what "We the People" want and what "We the People" need to
keep both our homeland and American citizens safe and free.
