An Imbalance of Justice

Equality: the quality or state of persons being equal within a given society; having equal rights, liberties, opportunities, and status to others within a just society.

It's all about equality or so 'they' say, but in actuality equality is the very last thing 'they' want for what 'they' want is most favored status along with even more “free stuff” and of course a “Get Out of Jail Free” card.

And yet 'they' continue to call for equality...in fact 'they' demand equality as justice owed them...yet 'they' willingly choose to ignore some of the most important yet basic components of equality, with the prime component being that true equality only works when it works both ways...tit for tat if you will. And also being ignored is that the very definition of equality dictates that no one individual nor any one specific group of people is entitled to special privileges, most especially special privileges regarding the adjudication of our country's civil laws...the very civil laws which mandate that all people be legally treated the same. But in today's America that surely is not the case.

How and why so? Simply, in today's America it seems that “people of color” are treated better than our country's white majority, a majority who are yet but another casualty of so-called “political correctness” run amok. And it's “political correctness” itself that comes replete with the forcing upon us of what amounts to being mentally enslaved coupled with media forced indoctrination aimed specifically at those of us who are not the chosen “people of color.” And while our Constitution itself states that “...all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights...” it's simple common sense alone that should dictate that while all individuals do deserve the same opportunities and treatment as part of their birthright, reality has shown that the actions of some have not only tainted the sum of the whole, but that said actions have actually denied me and you the very “unalienable rights” they demand for themselves.

A true imbalance of justice all in the name of equality I'd say.

So who, for the most part, are the minority I've referred to as 'they'? 'They' are simply misguided and misled black folks who reside within our county's roughly 14% black minority population; as in a select yet very vocal sub-sect embedded within the majority of good, decent, law abiding black folks; a sub-sect who think they have a right to dictate their vision of equality to this country's white majority; a sub-sect who demand payback for the sins of the past, sins never visited upon their person... sins paid-in-full with the loss of Union blood. And it's this sub-sect of black folks who are aided in what is their anything but altruistic quest for equality by both liberal white elected officials run amok coupled with those elected officials on the right who are simply too afraid to speak out against what they know in their hearts is but misplaced and unjustified racially based appeasement.

Basically, this translates into meaning that any and all elected officials who so knowingly and willingly allow themselves to be manipulated to such a degree that they are being held hostage out of fear of their daring to use their God given gifts of common sense and logic to mask what is, in reality, an underlying fear of publicly being shamed and labeled a “racist” by the media and by the “court of public opinion,” truly have no place in the public discourse. And yet it's this abject fear alone that has become the now accepted political excuse for those not willing to stand up to these miscreant folks and to just say “no.”

Racist”...a media deemed and cavalierly volleyed about word of antagonism to some; yet a word of salvation and veiled pride to others. “Racist”...a word that runs the gamut from fence sitters to those who outwardly reek of racial marginalization along with those in the throws of overtly ingrained prejudice and what amounts to simple disrespect of others different in color than themselves. And yet when one delves below surface appearances and meanings, “racist” remains a word misunderstood in its very concept, displaced by some yet deliberately manipulated by others for both personal and monetary gain.

To understand how this manipulation works just ask BLM head honcho and avowed marxist Patrisse Khan-Cullors who has personally profited off black folks misery...ask her about her recent multi-million dollar home purchase in an exclusive LA predominately white neighborhood instead of her using said money to help her fellow blacks. Remember, racial animosity, whether perceived or real, is indeed a very profitable business for way too many folks, especially for those folks who love to claim that America remains a systematically racist nation (more on that in a bit)...something we most assuredly are not. And this is no matter that these same folks deem both race relations and self-perceived racial inequality coupled with the corresponding discussions thereof, as the central touch point of the Democrats fool-hardly and ever so dangerous public policy agenda...an agenda reeking of socialism and in our faces anti-Americanism.

A public policy agenda where suspicion and the “canceling” of others not to the Democrats liking reigns supreme...an agenda where individuality and ones personal thoughts and beliefs are corrupted by politically driven media lies and innuendos passing themselves off as both justice and truth, thus allowing American society itself to now become unraveled and then rebuilt in models that are the antithesis of what was the American dream...a dream now a nightmare painted not in red, white and blue, but instead in the hues of certain folks skin color. This is what our beloved country has become under the current Democrat majority rule.

But what the Democrats and their assorted rainbow colored ilk refuse to understand is that any and all politically forced racist discourse and equality banter should not be about skin color per se, but should be about what the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said was “the content of one's character.” And one's character seems not to matter to today's BLM and liberal appeasing sorts as one's character coupled with one's actions seems to take a backseat when it pertains to the darkness of one's skin. The darker one's skin is the more injustices they encounter or so these folks claim. Targeted for arrest by police, supposed inequality in the criminal justice system, living in poverty stricken inner city ghettos with little incentive or hope to escape they say creates the perfect breeding ground for their right to riot, loot, steal, and even kill “whitey” if need be.

Just more self made excuses for miscreants and thugs to put themselves and their actions above the law...with white liberals giving them free rein to do so...justice surely not served.

And when what actually equates to a misplaced sense of self-loathing and hate is mixed in together with what is underlying jealousy and a believed to be racially based exclusion regarding the bettering of oneself, the call for true equality rings both hollow and mute for true equality, I believe, cannot and must not be forced nor can it be politically mandated...it must be earned, if you will, through a multitude of positive actions taken then coupled with “the content of one's character,” changing for the better. Mandating equality...politically or otherwise...does not and will not make folks truly equal nor does it do anything to quell racism itself, in fact it just breeds more hatred and animosity between the races.

But then again that seems to be exactly what the Democrat party wants for hatred along with cleverly crafted and forced racial manipulation, obvious voter fraud, and the repeated call that America still remains a systemically racist nation in desperate need of change, helped get Joe Biden the presidency this past election cycle. And when you couple that with his party's misplaced but now quite possible reality of keeping said power for many years to come...via “court packing” of course...you just know that a day of reckoning is fast approaching before any true sense of justice can finally be served. 1776 anyone...

Thomas Jefferson incorporated into the Declaration of Independence three “unalienable” rights we all possess at birth...rights no one should be able to deny us...as in the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” But sadly, due to today's political climate those very rights are being denied to some while those we elected to do the “people's business” continue to make a mockery of Jefferson's words.

A mockery for sure as right now we are a divided nation with much needed unity not even a pipe dream. And while we technically are “free” if the three rights are taken at face value, that freedom comes at a great price for how can “We the American People” enjoy said freedom when our freedom is but a bought and paid for commodity sold to the highest bidder...in this case that bidder is without question the ballot box. And with everything for the Democrats revolving around the ballot box, morality, common sense, and simple decency gets pushed aside in their ongoing clamor for the illegals vote...millions of votes courtesy of our taxpayer dollars footing the bill for vote buying “free stuff.”

Impeaching Trump...I Don't Think So

Thomas Jefferson incorporated into the Declaration of Independence three “unalienable” rights we all possess at birth...rights no one should be able to deny us...as in the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” But sadly, due to today's political climate those very rights are being denied to some while those we elected to do the “people's business” continue to make a mockery of Jefferson's words.

A mockery for sure as right now we are a divided nation with much needed unity not even a pipe dream. And while we technically are “free” if the three rights are taken at face value, that freedom comes at a great price for how can “We the American People” enjoy said freedom when our freedom is but a bought and paid for commodity sold to the highest bidder...in this case that bidder is without question the ballot box. And with everything for the Democrats revolving around the ballot box, morality, common sense, and simple decency gets pushed aside in their ongoing clamor for the illegals vote...millions of votes courtesy of our taxpayer dollars footing the bill for vote buying “free stuff.”

And while it's the Democrats alone doing said clamoring, Republicans are the ones ignoring the obvious even before those votes are cast. And what is the obvious? While President Trump is trying his best to derail the Democrats anti-American agenda...an agenda whose core principal upon which everything else revolves is the buying, one way or another, of votes...it truly is hard for one man alone to stand against a party of immoral miscreants, liars, and thieves, most especially when his own party can't see that the call for his impeachment is but another "divert and deflect" action to keep our focus away from the southern border and all those incoming 2020 Democrat votes. Remember, for the next year and a half it will be all about votes, why else would Democrats have deliberately set out to not accomplish a thing since President Trump took office.

Remember, during Thomas Jefferson's time we united together to fight against both tyranny and a tyrant...a tyrant in the guise of England's King George...and we won. And yet today it seems too many Republicans are giving up the battle instead of uniting together to fight against the enemy within...as in today's Democrat party...the very party whose media allies don't even try to hide their disdain and loathing for our president, his family, and his ever so successful economic policies.

Ignoring the fact that it's these very policies that have made...as per Trump's campaign promise...“America great again” both economically and militarily at home and abroad, and that it's these same policies that have now reignited a sense of cautious optimism and pride we on the right have regarding our country's future...the media instead chooses to herald the anything but benefits of socialism as well as the new Democrat-Socialist party itself along with its new breed of leaders who do not have America's best interests at heart. And even sadder is that Republicans on “the Hill” remain eerily silent regarding the lefts all-consuming call for the impeachment of a duly elected president already proven by one of the Democrats own to have done nothing wrong,

So questions must be answered as to why certain Republican leaders remain silent while ignoring Trump's stellar track record, and why one in said party is now siding with the Democrats in their call for Trump's impeachment...we'll get to that in a bit. First let's look at that track record...as in the fact that under President Trump's leadership and because of his policies the unemployment rate is at a 50-year low; companies here in America are adding a record number of jobs and American companies based overseas are now returning home; the gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.2 percent in the first quarter of this year; the stock market is soaring with analysts predicting it to go even higher; the Trump tax cuts allowed everyday Americans to pocket more of their hard earned monies; recession is not on the economic horizon; our country has regained the world's respect we lost under the presidency of Barack HUSSEIN Obama; etc., etc., etc...the list is one our president, our country, the Republican party, and "We the People" can be proud of...unless one is a Democrat of course.

Now think about this...the Democrats have accomplished nothing of substance legislative wise in the past two and a half years since President Trump, the man they call “lawless” and “a threat to democracy,” took office...except to point accusatory fingers at him while filing baseless lawsuits against him while Obama appointed activist judges stall anything pertaining to the implementation of his rightful immigration plan. Using that time to push forward their agenda of baby killing and garnering by any means possible the aforementioned illegal vote, Democrats have blatantly ignored the job they were elected to do...as in the “people's business”...to focus instead on their newest call for Trump's impeachment based solely upon the alluded to words of a bought-and-paid-for Special Council who himself...I cannot repeat it enough... found that President Trump did nothing wrong.

And to add fuel to the smoldering impeachment fire we now see Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schummer having the unmitigated gall to earlier this week post on twitter these very words and I quote, “ President @realDonaldTrump ought to stop acting like a showman and start working with Democrats on our serious proposals to address the nation's most pressing needs.”

This from the man who helped lead the charge to block, ban or simply ignore each and every idea, proposal, bill or call for discussion initiated either by Trump himself or by anyone on the right side of the aisle. And Democrats are reveling in the fact that debate over whether or not to impeach President Trump has now totally dominated the entirety of discussion within the House Democratic Caucus and on Capitol Hill itself, thus allowing this to be their excuse for why they can't get any real work done.

And so the party without morals has now decided it's their moral duty to hold this president accountable no matter that they themselves have no interest in doing their jobs, choosing instead to waste more time and more of our taxpayer dollars on a call for impeachment that in the end even they know will go nowhere. And why...because while such a call might pass in the Democrat controlled House it will most definitely not pass in the Republican controlled Senate as the numbers simply are not there...and all America will have to show for the time wasted and dollars spent is shades of Billy-Boy Clinton all over again.

Translation: America's so-called “inheritance” is willfully and wrongly being spent on yet another wild “divert and deflect” political goose chase that Democrats hope will serve them well at the ballot box come 2020, as again it's all about votes.

So what are Republican leaders doing to stop or at least slow down the Democrats call for President Trump's impeachment...not enough for some it seems...while many Republicans hold out hope that this misguided and malicious attempt at payback for Hillary's loss will die of its own accord. And who knows maybe they're right, because many on the left are also getting tired of hearing the “Impeach Trump” mantra being spouted ad-nauseum over and over again.

And while the majority of the American people do want to put the 2016 election to rest...we unfortunately now see clamoring for his fifteen minutes of impeachment infamy one lone Republican...actually a libertarian masquerading as a Republican...Rep. Justin Amash from Michigan...now not only speaking out in support of the Democrats call for Trump's impeachment, but resigning from the House Freedom Caucus, which he was a founding member of, simply because of their support for President Trump. And Amash, an Orthodox Christian Palestinian-American, is the very man who has previously spoken out against Trump's policies regarding the war in Yemen, funding for the border wall, the proposed temporary muslim immigration ban, and was the only Republican to vote against New Jersey Rep. Chris Smith's (R), bill that would have enhanced the role of the anti-Semitism monitor (this failed bill preceded H.Res.183, the Democrat passed watered down version), as well as voting against additional funding for Israel’s anti-missile system.

Also, Justin Amash is rumored to be considering running as a libertarian against President Trump in 2020.

Now saying that President Trump’s actions and behavior, as per his take away from Robert Mueller’s report, do “meet the threshold” for high crimes and misdemeanors, but what Rep. Amash doesn't get is that it was deemed by Mueller himself that no crime was ever committed by Trump. So, I ask Rep. Amash this question...how then can President Trump's actions and behavior "meet the threshold” of crimes being committed...simply...they cannot. And even 'Never Trumper' Utah Sen. Mitt Romney stated that while he thought Amash's words were a “courageous statement” on the Congressman's part...which I say they were anything but...Romney nevertheless made it clear to Amash that impeachment is not warranted based on the Special Counsel’s report. Even a Trump backstabber gets it right on occasion I guess.

But with everything for the Democrats remaining all about votes...illegal votes...dead votes...muslim votes...votes they'll do or say anything to get so long as those votes go straight down the D-column...it might surprise some to hear yet another truth the media will not say...as in not all Democrats are on board for impeachment as a few key Democrats realize that such a move might actually backfire on them and cause them to lose votes come the 2020 election. In fact, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently again stated that, “I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison”...as in wanting to see Trump defeated at the ballot box and then be prosecuted as a private citizen for his “alleged crimes.” Thankfully, neither scenario is likely to happen.



Even House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer along with House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal (D-Mass.) and Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) are against impeaching Trump at this current stage of the game. In fact, Chairmans Schiff and Neal have both stated that if Democrats are going to open an inquiry into impeachment they best be ready to actually impeach, which the Democratic Caucus itself has said that is something they are not yet ready and might never be ready to do,

And while Hoyer himself recently stating that, “Going forward on impeachment is not worthwhile at this point,” several members of the House Judiciary Committee feel just the opposite and see impeachment proceedings as the only recourse the Democrats have left to right what they consider the Hillary wrong. Truly, the Democrats are a House divided amongst themselves, and it's this very division that just might be the Republicans saving grace for as the old adage goes, “A house divided amongst itself cannot stand.” 
 
I think Thomas Jefferson himself would agree, and I think even he would say to the Democrats, “Get back to the job you were elected to do, you've stonewalled the call to liberty and prevented a duly-elected president from doing all he can do long enough.” And I say wait until the Democrats see just how poorly they do at the 2020 ballot box...their bought-and-paid for votes sure aren't going to help them then...and no party deserves to go down in flames more than the obstructionist Democrats who still can't get over their 2016 presidential loss.

Op-ed: 
On the Birth of a Nation

(I was asked to update and rerun my 4th of July op-ed from last year.) 
 
"When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth"...and so it began two hundred and thirty nine years ago today as the greatest nation the world has ever known was born.

Born out of war yet dedicated to peace, the United States of America changed the world forever with the simple words..."We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

The Declaration of Independence...actually called “A Declaration by the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress assembled”... announced for all the world to hear that the ragtag American colonies had seceding from the yoke of British rule to become "Free and Independent States, to have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do." 

Unanimously approved on July 2nd, 1776, and signed on July 4th by all 56 delegates to the Continental Congress, the colonies now regarded themselves as thirteen newly independent sovereign states, thus a new nation was founded...a Judeo-Christian nation...forever to be known as the United States of America.

Preceded in governance by the Continental Congress...a convention of delegates from each of the thirteen colonies...the Congress met from 1774 to 1789 in three increments, with the first being a call for a convention concerning issues raised about the blockade and the 'Intolerable Acts' penalizing Massachusetts. By 1774, Benjamin Franklin was able to convince the colonies to form a representative body, which at first was divided on independence and a break from the Crown. However, in time the new Congress gave their unanimous vote for independence, established a Continental Army, giving command to George Washington.

And while the Continental Congress waged war with Britain, made a military treaty with France, and funded the war effort with loans and paper money, Richard Henry Lee of Virginia first proposed the idea of succession at the Second Continental Congress when he read a resolution that stated, “Resolved: That these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States, that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain is, and ought to be, totally dissolved.”

Soon after, in August 1775, King George III declared American colonists were “engaged in open and avowed rebellion” as the colonies began pulling back from British rule by taking control of their ports and establishing formal guidelines for creating local governments. A 'Committee of Five'...Thomas Jefferson (who actually drafted the declaration), Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman and Robert Livingston...was then appointed by the Continental Congress to write the declaration. Formed on June 5th, 1776, the Committee returned to Congress with the completed declaration on July 4th. The committee was disbanded when the declaration was made public on July 5th.

This one document changed the course of modern history for its ramifications were heard by all free men of conscious who now understood that when their leaders... when their government...becomes "tyrannical and abusive"...when their leaders violate time and again the rights of the people then the people have the right...have the duty...to revolt and put safeguards in place to protect those rights.

And what was this new nation but an experiment in self-government...an experiment in liberty and in the sovereignty of the people...of people who believed that human equality and liberty should be the rule of law NOT only for those forever to be known as Americans, but for people everywhere "and that they (must) derive their just powers from the consent of the governed,” meaning 'We the People' through the power of the ballot box.

And with the Constitution defining those beliefs, never forget that our independence and our beliefs were secured for all time by those brave men whose blood was spilled all those many years ago.

So today as we celebrate the day our great nation was born from the pains of protest against a "tyrannical and abusive" king...as we celebrate a nation like none the world had seen before...a nation whose founding was built upon the much heralded collective allegiance and dedication to freedom and equality for all...we must stop the downward spiral we seem to be heading on...a spiral that's leading us right into an apathetic dependency on leaders who seem content to strip away from 'We the People' those very "unalienable rights" laid down by our Constitution.

But always remember that above all else America will survive because America must survive...'We the People' demand it even if it means more blood must be spilled in the name of freedom...blood spilled like it was when America was born.

A 'Committee of Five'...Thomas Jefferson (who actually drafted the declaration), Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman and Robert Livingston...was then appointed by the Continental Congress to write the declaration. Formed on June 5th, 1776, the Committee returned to Congress with the completed declaration on July 4th. The committee was disbanded when the declaration was made public on July 5th.

This one document changed the course of modern history for its ramifications were heard by all free men of conscious who now understood that when their leaders... when their government...becomes "tyrannical and abusive"...when their leaders violate time and again the rights of the people then the people have the right...have the duty...to revolt and put safeguards in place to protect those rights.

And what was this new nation but an experiment in self-government...an experiment in liberty and in the sovereignty of the people...of people who believed that human equality and liberty should be the rule of law NOT only for those forever to be known as Americans, but for people everywhere "and that they (must) derive their just powers from the consent of the governed,” meaning 'We the People' through the power of the ballot box.

And with the Constitution defining those beliefs, never forget that our independence and our beliefs were secured for all time by those brave men whose blood was spilled all those many years ago.

So today as we celebrate the day our great nation was born from the pains of protest against a "tyrannical and abusive" king...as we celebrate a nation like none the world had seen before...a nation whose founding was built upon the much heralded collective allegiance and dedication to freedom and equality for all...we must stop the downward spiral we seem to be heading on...a spiral that's leading us right into an apathetic dependency on leaders who seem content to strip away from 'We the People' those very "unalienable rights" laid down by our Constitution.

But always remember that above all else America will survive because America must survive...'We the People' demand it even if it means more blood must be spilled in the name of freedom...blood spilled like it was when America was born.
