Victory Not Delivered

...This deal...this Memorandum of Understanding is, in my opinion, no better than Obama's deal with Iran...the deal that actually set Iran on a path to a nuclear bomb...but for whatever reason Trump and his “Trump can do no wrong” supporters refuse to see that fact.

Houston”...there truly remains a problem, a problem that started with last summer's joint U.S./Israel military partnership where we had the military advantage over the regime, but Trump actually gave said advantage away. How so...by his refusing to finish (or let Israel finish) the job he led us, the Iranian people, and Israel herself to believe would be done.

...as Iran once again tries to play what is the “on again, off again” hoped for extension game, Trump continues saying that the “Memorandum of Understanding” is Iran's “unconditional surrender,” thus turning a rightfully just war into but a mockery of itself for “appeasement” and “capitulation” are now and will always remain the antithesis of victory...Read entire article here.
Cops could be forced into race-based guessing game after Supreme Court move, Thomas joins dissent
'What about dark-skinned Latinos, other Latinos, and members of other minority groups?' the dissent asked
/ Fox News

Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas on Monday dissented from the Supreme Court’s refusal to take up a case that they said forces police officers to create a separate set of rules for racial minorities.

"It is dangerous to allow an individual to be treated differently based on statistics, studies, or expert testimony that purports to show that members of the racial or ethnic group to which he belongs are more likely to act in a certain way than are members of other groups," Alito wrote on behalf of himself and Thomas. "Here, the special treatment helped the individual; in other situations it will not."

The case, U.S. v. Donte J. Carter, involved a Black man whose firearm and theft convictions were vacated after the D.C. Court of Appeals held that police seized him before they had reasonable suspicion. Officers later recovered a .40-caliber pistol from Carter’s pants and the government said the gun had been stolen from an FBI agent’s vehicle.

US waives Iran oil sanctions for two months in $10 billion payday

WASHINGTON — The US government on Monday formally waived oil sanctions on Iran for two months — allowing for roughly $10 billion in revenue as nuclear talks continued with Iranian officials in Switzerland.

The Treasury Department waiver lasts through Aug. 21 — giving Iran the ability to openly sell its oil for the first time since the 1990s, meaning it will pocket new profits by avoiding discounted sales.

The waiver was announced as Vice President JD Vance prepared to depart peace talks in Switzerland — and follows President Trump last week lifting the two-month US naval blockade of Iranian ports.

The waiver could allow Iran to take in an estimated $60 billion annually — or $10 billion for the two-month window.

Tehran has long sold its oil to China in violation of US sanctions and now can boost profits by eliminating discounts that reached up to $10 per barrel, according to market analysis cited in US government reports.
