Op-ed:
Bipartisanship or Bust

...And herein now lies the problem, for unseen since the days of the great Ronald Reagan has “bipartisanship” been a true and lasting Congressional reality. Why so...because both Democrats and Republicans now seem to thrive on constantly being at each others political throats, thus they never allow themselves to even begin to work together to find common sense solutions to the shared problems at hand. And in their failing to do so, these folks willingly ignore the fact that the act of “bipartisanship” itself can actually help to negate the extreme wings...the overtly vocal and at times physically dangerous wings...of both the Republican and Democrat parties.

And also something to note is that “bipartisanship” does tend to lead to overall governmental stability via the implementation of not only centrist solutions to problems, but accomplishes this while eliminating the fear of policy reversals occurring simply because the party in power has once again shifted hands...the very thing that has allowed round after round of inane partisan bickering to sadly become the new norm.

In other words “bipartisanship” does work best when it's coupled with both parties returning to the letter of the law that is the “United States Constitution.” Read entire article here.

Man allegedly opens fire on Secret Service near White House as child injured in chaos
The Secret Service said a child was injured when the suspect opened fire on officers who were pursuing him
Fox News

U.S. Secret Service officers shot an armed person Monday near the White House, according to a federal source familiar with the incident.

The shooting happened near 15th Street and Independence Avenue, a little over a half mile from the White House and close to the Washington Monument.

Secret Service Uniformed Division officers engaged the individual after the person pulled a gun, a federal source told Fox News Digital.

In a press conference, Secret Service Deputy Director Matt Quinn said that a juvenile bystander was struck by the suspect. The child who was struck did not sustain any life-threatening injuries, but is receiving treatment at the hospital, Quinn said.

Quinn said the confrontation began after trained surveillance personnel spotted a "visual print" of a weapon.

"My understanding is they observed a print," Quinn said. "These are trained surveillance detection personnel out there looking every day to look for just that... and they observed a visual print of a firearm."
