Trump: US Will Refill Strategic Petroleum Reserve Using Venezuelan Oil
Thomson / Reuters / NEWSMAX

President ‌Donald Trump said on Sunday that oil from a recently struck deal with Venezuela will be used to replenish the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, ‌which has been drawn down sharply in recent years to respond to global supply disruptions and high fuel prices.

Trump said in a social media post that the "topping out" process will begin shortly, describing Venezuelan oil as a “Gift from Venezuela to the People of the United States.”

It ‌is unclear how quickly the Venezuela deal could ‌provide oil for the reserve or deliver any near-term ‌benefit to U.S. motorists. The agreement Trump announced on Friday is aimed at reviving Venezuela's battered oil industry, ‌but it will require significant investment and infrastructure work before production can rise substantially.

The reserve held about 290 million barrels as of ‌August 21, near a 44-year low, after the United States drew down its stockpile under both ‌the Biden and Trump ‌administrations in response to global supply disruptions, including Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the conflict with Iran. US launches first strikes on Iran in weeks as regime vows revenge
Ronny Reyes / NEW YORK POST

The US launched strikes on Iran’s Larak Island on Sunday, the first offensive in weeks — as the regime vowed revenge.

The US fired the attack after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were allegedly setting up another wave of underwater mines in the Strait of Hormuz, Axios reported.

“Earlier today U.S. forces struck two Iranian launchers on Larak Island,” a US official told the outlet. “Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines into Strait of Hormuz.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed the attack that reportedly killed and wounded several people, but did not provide further details.

The attack “will be answered by the sons of Iran and will result in the punishment of the aggressor,” the IRGC told state broadcasters.

Just Another Thought

[[[ Five years ago today we withdrew from Afghanistan in what was in actuality a defeat. Five years from today I hope we’re not facing the same scenario with Iran, which could be a possibility. Why so...because not since WWII has a president's what should be focus to win a war actually been put on the “back burner” while forgetting that ”bombs that go “boom” does not make a war won.

The Korean War, aka“a police action,” still sees Korea divided in two. The Vietnam War saw us hightailing it out of there in 1975 after the fall of Saigon. And our 20-year involvement in Afghanistan saw Biden hastily pulling us out after the Taliban re-seized control of Afghan's government. And to add insult to our injury, Biden forced us to leave behind U.S.military equipment which is now in the hands of the Taliban. But saddest of all is that in the action of withdrawing 13 U.S. service members were killed due to Biden's ineptitude.

So it should not be all that surprising that we have yet to achieve true victory in Iran, especially when our president now seems to be more focused on becoming “king and controller” of all the world's oil supplies then he is on fighting to win this rightful war being fought as he'd rather make deals with the enemy than actually using militarily force to get them to surrender,

And so with Trump's ego puffed up courtesy of his Venezuelan oil win, we could well see Iran becoming both Vietnam and Afghanistan revisited with the Iranian people now sadly being his sacrificial lamb. ]]]

Relocation of US arms from Europe may expose vulnerabilities in US global military posture - report
Some officials described the situation as “beyond critical,” with arms moved to the Middle East from stockpiles in Europe and Asia creating shortages that could take years to replenish.
JERUSALEM POST STAFF

Military planners in Washington worry that dwindling munitions stores may reduce the US’s ability to defend against potential threats from Russia and China, according to a Friday Wall Street Journal report citing US officials familiar with the matter.

While the officials noted that Western military officials have assessed that full-scale attacks from Russia and China are not imminent, they told the WSJ that insufficient weapons stockpiles have left vulnerabilities in the US’s global military posture.

Some officials described the situation as “beyond critical,” with arms moved to the Middle East from stockpiles in Europe and Asia creating shortages that could take years to replenish.

Administration officials have reportedly assessed that due to weapons being moved out of Asia for use in the war with Iran, the US may not be able to fully carry out contingency plans to defend Taiwan in case of a Chinese invasion. Read more here.

Death and destruction Russian attack hits Ukraine’s Kyiv region, killing at least 27 people as war rages
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a warehouse had been struck “followed by a detonation.”
Associated Press / NEW YORK POST

At least 27 people have been killed following a Russian attack on the Bucha district, close to the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, officials said Saturday.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the local regional military administration, said that at least 50 residential buildings had been damaged in the attack, which also sparked a large-scale fire that spread to homes and a restaurant.

In a statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a warehouse had been struck in the village of Myla “followed by a detonation.”

He did not give details on the site, but wrote in the same message that criminal proceedings had been opened on charges of official negligence.

“There are regulations in place — ammunition cannot be stored near homes or other residential areas,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian leader wrote that a care home for elderly people and people with disabilities and residential buildings were damaged. Read more, and see photos here.

[[[ In this time of war with Iran we now also find ourselves at war with our northern neighbor Canada...a Trump initiated tariff based war of sorts now having morphed into a nasty economic PR war...with both countries acting like a 2-year old in the midst of a temper tantrum. One one side is President Trump and his silly "Lake Ontario" name changing game vs the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) now telling its staff NOT to refer to "9/11" as a “terrorist attack” during what will be their upcoming coverage of the "25th Anniversary of "9/11"...the very event that literally woke the world up from what was its deep sleep of complacency.

What President Trump did with his "Lake America" theatrics was uncalled for, calculatingly done to be divisive, yet at the same time being silly at best. However, what Canada's CBC has now done...especially after having told its staff the same thing after the "October 7, 2023" happenings in Israel...should show us and the world that those we once thought to be our ally and friend should never be taken at face value for sometimes said face is but a mask to cover one's true intent and loyalty.

And sadly, in the case of Canada, the mask when unveiled was in regards to the very "terrorist attack" that forever changed the world as we know it. I only hope that Canada's prime minister steps in and tells the CBC "NO" for if the CBC goes through with this not only will Canada have defamed and disrespected both the victims and the heroes of "9/11," but America's friendly relationship with Canada will rightfully never be the same again. ]]]

Justice delayed for 1988 Lockerbie bombing victims’ families as trial pushed back over new evidence:
‘Roller coaster of emotions’
Natalie O'Neill / NEW YORK POST

Heartbroken relatives of victims killed in the 1988 Lockerbie bombing said Wednesday they still plan to come face-to-face with one of the alleged terrorists behind the attack — even as his trial was suddenly delayed due to new evidence.

Some family members had hoped to “stare down” Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud Kheir Al-Marimi  — who’s charged with making the bomb that killed 259 people aboard Pan Am flight 103 and 11 people on the ground — as jury selection was set to begin Wednesday in Washington, DC, relatives told The Post.

But justice was put on hold after mysterious new evidence emerged, leaving loved ones with an unfinished chapter in the tragic, 37-year-old case.

“There are some family members that will stare at him — it brings them peace to stare him down,” said Kara Weipz, whose brother, Rick Monetti, was killed in the historic attack. “I don’t care to look at him.” Read more, and see photos here.

[[[ So with a swipe of his EO pen President Trump officially changed the name "Lake Ontario" to "Lake America" all because his ego took a hit when Canada said "NO" to his out of line tariffs on their goods coming into the U.S., and Canada's then vowing tariff reciprocation.

We are in a time of war and Trump wastes times with a "tit-for-tat" name calling of a lake that legally can only be applied to official federal government usage, and has NO legal viability under Canadian or maritime law.

"Freedom fighters" are being executed in Iran on an almost daily basis...people he promised to help...and silly name changes are what Trump's busy doing...shameful indeed. Trump is not only making a laughing stock of himself on the world stage, but of our beloved America as well.

I wonder what our great Sec. of State Marco Rubio and our great Sec. of War Pete Hegseth really think about Trump's latest actions behind closed doors and out off range of the media, for I cannot imagine either man personally approving of his wasting time on this nonsense. So maybe, and I'm serious here, it's time they try to reign Trump and his ego in before we lose a war that could have and should have easily been won last summer. ]]]

Shadowy Left-Wing Tech Group Linked to Antifa, Hamas, Now Slammed With US Sanctions
Ward Clark / RedState

They say that politics makes for strange bedfellows. It seems that terrorism makes for even stranger ones. Who would have thought that an American far-left radical terrorist group would make common cause with Islamic terror groups, when the two groups' agendas seem so misaligned?

And yet, that seems to be what is happening. On Wednesday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio took to his official X account to warn the American people of a connection between Portland Antifa, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Hamas. Maverick Democrat surges with Republicans as his own party turns on him, stoking talk of GOP switch
A new poll shows 73% of GOP voters view Fetterman favorably, fueling speculation about a potential party switch
/ Fox News

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., assesses how the Democratic Party is responding to the rise of socialist, far-left candidates on ‘Hannity.’

Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, a centrist Democrat known for bashing his party's left flank, is more popular among Keystone State Republicans than their own GOP senator, Sen. Dave McCormick, according to a new poll.

The release of the poll this week by the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer and Siena University is further evidence that Fetterman, who at times breaks with his party and aligns with President Donald Trump, and who is a frequent guest on the Fox News Channel, has become increasingly popular among Republicans.

The survey may boost speculation that the first-term senator could potentially bolt the Democrats and become a Republican. But Fetterman has denied that he plans to leave the Democratic Party...Read more, see photos, and videos here.

Trump claims Strait of Hormuz is de-mined — and being watched by Space Force
Josh Christenson / NEW YORK POST

WASHINGTON — President Trump announced Tuesday that the “International Waters of the Strait of Hormuz” were completely de-mined and “every square inch” of the waterway is now being monitored by the US Space Force for any potential new explosives.

Trump said in a Truth Social Post that the US Navy had swept the strait and detonated or removed the mines and that any new ones identified by Space Force would be detonated as well.

“Iran has been notified that any ship or boat placing new mines will be immediately and systematically destroyed,” the president noted. “Through Space Force, we are watching every square inch of the Strait, as we are, also, with Pickaxe Mountain and the already destroyed three other Nuclear sites.”

“There is a Zero Tolerance policy on mine placement in full force and effect,” Trump added. A source told The Post that the number of mines, their types and locations were a closely held secret. Read more, and see photos here.

[[[ “The United States is giving serious consideration to changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America in that we don’t expect to [be] doing much business with Ontario any longer.” So said President Trump on a post earlier today on his social media platform "Truth Social." And why...because trade negotiations revolving around high tariffs in regards to Canadian goods fell apart last week, thus leading Ontario's Premier Doug Ford...a  trade hardliner...to issue this response to Trump's possible lake name change by saying, "everything is on the table,” and that "if the trade spat worsens, it could include our cutting off electricity to 1.5 million U.S. homes and businesses, as well as to critical minerals gotten from Ontario."

So Mr. President, I say, the last thing America needs right now is for you to start a true economic based war....a "tit-for-tat" war...with those who sit directly on our northern border...especially with us still dealing with the misguided war with Iran. Something I truly hope you'll think about. ]]]

“we'll do this for you if you do that for us” sort of game which to some degree is but veiled bribery of sorts, and surely something any president would want to be kept hidden even if good intentions and a war winning scenario were involved.

Simply, illegalities are one thing, and while no technical illegalities are involved regarding President Trump or his family in relation to their ongoing business ventures with certain of the Iran war's key players, the optics of money privately still being garnered, and the possibility of decisions being rendered on the urging of those key players, is really not a good look to have, especially when these same players have a stake in the outcome of the war itself.

[[[ It seems what most folks do NOT understand is that Iran will NEVER surrender for the simple reason that their religion forbids it! Even In a Time of War 2+2 Should = 4
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor
This opinion piece is my opinion alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com

This is an article I never really wanted to write, but after President Trump made certain statements at an August 14th Republican candidates rally in Long Island, New York... statements likeAfter we finish defeating Iran, which is being very badly defeated,  pretty soon I’ll be declaring the Hormuz Strait a territory of the United States,” adding that “Insuring Iran could not build a nuclear weapon was worth paying a tiny little bit more for your gasoline.” And to those very words he then also added that, “When you have to pay a little bit more, you’re at $4. It’s okay,” and “I’ll never apologize. I did the right thing;” So it now seemed like the right time to remind folks of certain well documented and verified facts.

And while these facts I will be referring to have been in the public domain for a number of years, the Trump team along with the Trump “can do no wrong” crowd, either tried to bury those facts, downplay them, ignore them, or hope they'd simply just fade away, forgetting that when words are part of the public domain they could, if rediscovered, come rightfully back to haunt.

And while President Trump has done absolutely nothing illegal in what I am about to disclose nor do I...a three time Trump voter...accuse him of willfully or deliberately deceiving “We the American People,” I do feel that certain actions taken coupled with inactions not taken during this still ongoing but not yet won war with Iran, might start to make a bit more sense. And while 2 + 2 two still equals 4...except in “Common Core” math...telling the truth serves one better than trying to divert the discourse to keep us from discovering tried to be hidden facts. And this is especially true when those facts could change not only the logistics of how this war with Iran is militarily being fought, but answers the question on many of our minds as to why this war seems so misguided after Trump switched his original goal of Iran's unconditionally surrendering to his now diplomatic deals fiasco.

So let me start by saying that the old adage, “money is the root of all evil” might actually be shadowing how President Trump is handling this war for whether some care to believe it or not...and again no actual illegalities come into play...the fact remains that our president and his family do have extensive business interests and investments in the Middle East including in the very countries who while on paper are our allies, but who in reality are tenuous, sleep with one eye open, allies at best.

And so here the “follow the money” game begins with big name countries... big monied countries...oil rich countries like Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Eremites (UAE), Oman, and Qatar seeing President Trump and his family, while not owning actual physical real estate in these countries, still having made what are combined real estate (as in hotels, mega-buck luxury apartments, and golf courses), brand licensing, management, and crypto currency monetary dealings with said countries.

In fact, President Trump and his family, besides being developers, are also the co-founders of, and are still directly involved with, the major investment firm World Liberty Financial” (WLF) which itself is directly linked to the UAE's purchase of a 49% stake in the family's crypto venture via hundreds of millions of dollars in upfront payments. And this is in addition to both Trump and his family garnering additional monies from digital token sales which are also tied to said investment firm, with its proceeds now reaching upwards of one plus billion dollars mostly thanks to Gulf nation investors...no real surprise there.

The “Art of the Deal” truly come to life...all completely legal...all highly successful...all extremely profitable business deals managed by the Trump family via licensing and development deals...all what Trump has proven to do best. And here might I add my kudos to Trump on his monetary success, while at the same time having his ego stroked by Gulf developers who pay big money to put his name on “luxury towers, golf courses, and hotels” in countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Qatar. See a pattern here...I sure do.

And this pattern itself is what is more than a bit troubling to me in that the actual monetary aspect involved has Trump and his family directly tied into the countries who, during this time of war, remain but tenuous allies at best... allies with agendas of their own...allies smart enough to know that Trump will likely do as they say as his current and future business ventures do hang somewhat in the balance. So why not use the war itself as their bargaining chip...their “Trump chip” if you will...to get Iran to stop lobbing missiles and drones into their oil rich countries.

Remember, the big money players of these countries have much to lose the longer that this war lingers on no matter that Trump originally did state that the Iran war “will only take a few weeks”...and yet those words...that very time frame...now has dragged on, in but one guise or another, for over a year. And with those countries all being key Mideast countries that Trump, and his family, have highly profitable business dealings with, coupled with those countries being either players to one degree or another in the war itself and who now see themselves being the target of Iran's retaliation after U.S. bombs go boom... all I can say is “Houston” we might have somewhat of a “conflict of interest” here in how this war...whether knowingly or not...is being both physically played out, and who exactly is giving the orders in regards to who, when, where, and why.

And here also note that over the past month or so each of those aforementioned countries' leaders have told President Trump to stop or at least slow down the Iran bombings...bombings getting a bit too close to Iran's capital Tehran...and which, as I started to write this article, saw Trump complying with their wishes. And even in his doing so, some of those countries remained“behind his back busy” by privately forging their own alliances with both Turkey and Pakistan...countries technically allies, but allies with fingers most assuredly crossed behind their backs.

Why so? First, Turkey's leader Recep Erdogan is no friend to our ally and war partner Israel as he outwardly despises and vocally condemns her leader Benjamin Netanyahu. And second because while Pakistan remains what's known as a “transactional partner” of the U.S. rather than her being a binding “treaty-bound” ally, we find our relationship with them being defined as one of “deep strategic mistrust.” Why so...because we have more friendly dealings and trust with Pakistan's long time enemy India, the very country who has now forged a working relationship and friendship with Israel as well.

And besides, and this is key, I do not believe that Pakistan's acting as a negotiating go-between for us and Iran has worked out very well as witnessed by the numerous deals made that have fallen apart, ceasefires that have been breached, and Trump's supposed “Red Lines” laughingly being crossed by Iran.

And yet it's Pakistan that remains Trump's go-to in regards to diplomatic negotiations with Iran, leaving me to wonder why...thus I found this interesting little bit of information...the Trump family has financial and digital asset connections to Pakistan through aforementioned World Liberty Financial” (WLF), and it's courtesy of the family-linked cryptocurrency venture being used as one means of “cross-border payments”* for services or business transactions rendered. Translation: the Trump family has garnered roughly $500 million to $800 million from token sales and its crypto-partnerships with Pakistan,

But again, there's absolutely nothing illegal about this nor with any of Trump's or his family's previously mentioned business ventures. But even with illegalities removed from the mix, I still see President Trump's omission of truth...especially regarding his personal investments in the Gulf region raking in billions of dollars not for our country or the Iranian people, but for he and his family alone. Simply, what currently passes for truth must be separated from made up media news reported truth so that 2+2 actually does equal 4, thus helping to eliminate the optics of what was at the beginning a rightful war, but which now has started to get a bit blurry.

Why so...first because Trump's all consuming obsession with the “Strait of Hormuz” finds him completely ignoring the regime's execution of Iran's freedom fighters still being carried out on an almost daily basis...the very people who begged us for help...the very people he told “help is on the way” but who are still waiting for said help. And second, all his decisions of late regarding to bomb or not bomb Iran seem to be based upon imput received from the very Gulf nations he not only has personal monetary dealings with, but who personally are affected by his blockade of Hormuz.

Sounds to me like a “we'll do this for you if you do that for us” sort of game which to some degree is but veiled bribery of sorts, and surely something any president would want to be kept hidden even if good intentions and a war winning scenario were involved.

Trump's actions in regards to control of the “Strait of Hormuz” are now financially hurting the very Gulf nations he and his family have big money (albeit) legal dealings with, and it's definitely because of our ongoing blockade. So here I say that maybe...just maybe...some decisions made by our president are not really in our, the Iranian people, or the world's best interests, but in his own dollars and cents interests, which can not only affect the war's outcome, but his presidential legacy, and the Republican party's future as well

And again, I am not accusing our president of any legal wrongdoing, just thinking out loud as nothing else in his mishandling of this war seems to make 2+2=4 sense. Case closed.
