Throughout documented history no people have been persecuted more than the Jewish people. And while many history books do teach certain historical facts in relation to the Jews, like their being slaves in ancient Egypt and God's promise to Moses of a Jewish homeland; like the “Babylonian exile” in 597 BCE which set the stage for the Jewish people being "stateless" until the 1948 birth of the “Jewish State of Israel;" like the Spanish Inquisition (1478-1834} where Jews were expelled and/or murdered for being supposed “heretics” who converted from Judaism to Catholicism; as well as the Russian "pogroms" of 1the mid-19th to early 20th century where Jews were rounded up and massacred with Russian government approval; the fact remains that nothing could have foreseen the hatred and jealousy for the Jewish people becoming so overtly overwhelming that it culminated in what became known as the "Holocaust."
Nothing...absolutely nothing...compares to the planned and then executed annihilation of six million Jews...killed not in battle but were “selectively chosen” to either be gassed, shot, hung, starved, worked to death, medically experimented on, and then burned to ashes in ovens or thrown into mass graves not only in an effort to try and erase the horrific deeds that were committed against their person, but to deem their very existence as meaningless. And it's this tragedy alone...done for no other reason than they were Jews...was documented via not only the meticulous Nazi records kept, but by photographs, newsreels, testimonies of survivors, and by the words of those American and Soviet troops who helped in the liberation of the camps...that has led me to believe that it's time we put two specific current events into their proper perspective.
Again, the unquestionable historical fact remains that the Jewish people have been on the receiving end of both centuries of violence and hate, which culminated in the “Holocaust.” But from the ashes of the "Holocaust" arose a new generation of Jews who not only founded a nation...the now and forever “Jewish State of Israel”...but whose children and grandchildren stand united in the fact that not only is "Never Again" now, but that "Never Again" does unequivocally mean "Never Again"...no ifs, ands, or buts allowed into the discourse.
So as Israel's former European supporters are now turning on her one by one, turning in support of islamic terrorists whose self-welcomed incursion into their countries came replete with unseen knives, if you will, being held to their collective throats, we find France, the UK, Austria, Finland, Canada, Australia, and now Germany...as if Germany hasn't already done enough to the Jews...joining together in support of a “two-state solution.” And they do so while ignoring the fact that the Palestinians had already been given the Gaza Strip as a homeland back in 2005 after the “Oslo Accords,” and promptly turned it into both a hell hole and terrorist enclave by electing Hamas as their governing body.
And this now outwardly turning on Israel started just this past July courtesy of a UN “confab” (which the US and Israel rightfully did not attend) led by host countries France and Saudi Arabia...seemingly two peas in the same Israel and Jew hating pod.
But still the hatred for Jews and Israel continues on unabated no matter that Hamas operatives continue to perpetrate acts of terrorism within Israel proper. One case in point, less than two weeks ago a pair of islamist terrorists opened fire on a crowded Jerusalem bus resulting in at least seven Israeli deaths, and many more wounded.
Sadly, the now aforementioned western countries...some of whom are NATO members... willingly have chosen to ignore right from wrong and good from evil, and have self reimposed the victim v. perpetrator mentality onto the “Jewish State of Israel.” And why so? I believe it's most likely being done in the name of abject “fear”...“fear” that what was done to Israel on October 7th will, in time, happen to their countries as well. But the truth they refuse to see is that it already has happened albeit on a smaller scale, for now anyway, for islamic incursion coupled with islamic based terrorism into both Europe and Australia has now reached record high numbers as has corresponding rapes, murders, and other assorted nasties.
“Saving face” with their UN buddies is important to them even while knowing that a “two-state solution” is just window dressing and nothing more. Why so? Because the UN knows well that while they actually have no legal authority to take land away from one sovereign nation...in this case Israel...and give its land to a newly made up nation...as in Palestine...it still helps them perpetrate the on going but laughable ruse that the Palestinians will then in having a homeland suddenly coexist with Israel in both peace and security, while at the same time knowing it keeps the bottom of the Arab “cast system” barrel Palestinians corralled in the Middle East instead of their having to forcibly help in relocating any of these people to the aforementioned nations.
Simply, those countries still claiming to want a “two-state solution”...those saying they will vote for said solution even knowing that a sure to come “NO” vote by the United States will prevent it from happening courtesy of our exercising our veto power in the UN Security Council...do though want to see their vote helping to keep the Palestinian-Israeli fight ongoing replete with its bloodshed and depravity, but keeping it on Israel's doorstep and not on their own...it cannot be said any more directly than that.
