Op-ed:
On AI...My Opinion
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor

...So with that said the question now becomes, “How can we prevent this scenario from happening or do we simply walk blindly into a viper pit and hope we don't get bitten?” My answer is obviously not about your typical rules and regulations being put into place as both do tend to be broken, but is simply that we...that man...must never leave AI to its own devices. We alone must permanently remain in control of AI's “master switch”... a “pull the plug” so called “kill switch” if you will. Why so...because while AI is currently under our control technology itself will continue to progress at its own given rate, and could eventually reach a point where AI gains control over man to the point where man can no longer pull AI's kill switch, thus turning our future into something we had never hoped for nor wanted.

And with human history showing that as human progress moves forward, it does so courtesy of a two-step scenario...meaning for every two steps we technologically move forward, a step backwards seems to have been taken as well. And this simply means that with AI being one of the next technological steps forward it does leave one to wonder what the next step backwards will be...Read entire article here.
Illinois’ Answer to Career Criminals: Seal Their Records
Amy Curtis / Townhall Tipsheet

Just the other day, a man was beaten with a metal pipe in Chicago's loop by Piere Thorne, a career criminal with 57 prior arrests. The victim, an unidentified man, suffered a bleeding head wound, lost teeth, and suffered facial and jaw fractures as well as cuts to his face.

Thanks to Illinois' ridiculous pro-criminal policies, Thorne will not spend a day behind bars for this attack. Late last year, career criminal Lawrence Reed set a 26-year-old woman on fire on Chicago's Blue Line. Reed had anywhere from 22 to 49 prior arrests, according to various media reports. He was later charged in conjunction with an arson at Chicago City Hall that predated his attack on the woman.

But Democrats haven't met a criminal they won't go to the mattresses for, and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is no exception.

He's just signed the "Clean Slate Act" which would seal criminal records every six months. That way, we'll never know how many dozens of arrests criminals in Chicago have when they rob, maim, or murder more innocent citizens. Read more, see Xs and videos here.

Haunting image shows pile of abandoned shoes after Iran’s bloodthirsty regime burned protesters todeath: ‘Iranian Holocaust’            Anthony Blair / NEW YORK POST

A haunting image shows a pile of abandoned shoes after Iran’s bloodthirsty regime trapped surrendering protesters in a historic bazaar and burned them alive — in what is being likened to “Iran’s Holocaust.”

The picture, taken in the city of Rasht, northwest Iran, shows the aftermath of the massacre on Jan. 8, in which regime henchmen set fire to the popular marketplace, trapping demonstrators inside and shooting those who tried to escape, according to eyewitness accounts and human rights organizations.

“If this is not a crime against humanity, what is?” said Arash Sigarchi, an award-winning journalist, former Iranian political prisoner and managing editor of Voice of America’s Persian Division, sharing the image on X.

He compared the picture to the display of victims’ shoes at the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, and branded the Iranian theocracy “Nazi-like.”

“These shoes in Rasht are not art,” Suren Edgar, vice president of the Australian-Iranian Community Alliance, also wrote on X, alongside the heartbreaking image.

“They belonged to people trapped after regime forces set the historic bazaar on fire and shot those trying to escape. The imagery is unmistakable — an Iranian Holocaust unfolding in real time.”
