Now I don't know about that per se as I've never heard such reasoning, but maybe it's true with the Middle East seemingly growing more volatile by the day. However, something seems a bit 'off' about this as flydubai has continued servicing Israel even after the October 7th Hamas terrorist attack when other airlines would not.

Just a Few Thoughts
To my Patriot Factor Followers and Readers: I have not been able to post for the past 5 days as my internet has been down due to a Comcast/Xfinity major transformer blowout in my area which unfortunately burnt out my modem when power was resorted. I have been able to tether through my phone on social media but not on my computer. Comcast is finally coming later today to install a new modem and reset all all the codes and certifications. Just now my tandem to AT&T finally kicked in so I'm finally able to post here temporarily.
Below are four thoughts that I was able to post through my phone to social media which some here still might find interesting. The first picks up from Tuesday before my internet went out; the second is from Wednesday; the third is from late Thursday after Benjamin Netanyahu's speech before the UN General Assembly; and the fourth is from yesterday. Hopefully, I should be back in full operational mode by tomorrow.

Earlier today Trump flooded social media...especially 'Truth Social'...with silly AI-generated images of him annexing two countries, renaming the state of New Mexico 'New America', and his claiming ownership of the moon. And while some might find this funny I see it as both a narcissistic overinflated ego run amok, and the President of the United States making a fool of our country during a time of war.
Simply, Netanyahu takes this war with Iran seriously...Trump apparently thinks it's a joke. Houston, we still have a problem as to why this war continues on, and the problem has the initials DJT. ]]]

Just Two Thoughts
Tuesday, August 4, 2026
Simply, for Iran not to have yet officially surrendered (which was Trump's original objective that he foolishly strayed away from)...whether it be unconditionally or otherwise... in spite of our overwhelming military victories Iran has incurred...still means that we...that the United States of America...has yet to win this war. Why so...because Iran and its regime has outlasted and outmaneuvered President Trump courtesy of its simple ability to endure, and shift the war outward to encompass its fellow Arab neighbors while also now starting to move outward from there...outward even into the Red Sea at last report...

Last
week I wrote about the “maybe
or maybe not” of today's war with Iran possibly
becoming a war not unlike Vietnam...a war we lost back in 1975 when
we pulled out of the country minus what should have been an easy and
overwhelming military victory.
And it was a defeat that still has a haunting degree of political ramifications even today, for the fact remains that misplaced diplomacy was chosen as the path to try and end the Vietnam War, just as still failed diplomacy was chosen to end the war in Afghanistan, and now is still what President Trump hopes will succeed in regards to Iran.
And while diplomacy is altruistic by its very nature, the fact remains that when ones enemy continues to fight back...to engage militarily while talks...whether they be in the open or via back channels...are ongoing, the enemy wins in the “court of public opinion” for they look strong while we look weak. This was the case in both Vietnam and Afghanistan, and as long as Iran has the ability to keep lobbing missiles and drones at their fellow Gulf neighbors and of course at our U.S. military bases and interests, it's Iran that looks strong no matter our newly intensified bombings. Why so...simply because President Trump has not yet stricken the words “diplomatic solution” from his vocabulary.
Remember,
in Afghanistan...President George W. Bush's initiated war...we saw
our military needing but mere weeks to oust the Taliban from the
country, yet twenty years later on August 30, 2021 thanks to then
President Joe Biden...whose entire presidency was really a joke at
best...we left Afghanistan in humiliating defeat, Why so, because
Biden chose to ignore what was then obvious Afghan government
corruption along with the fact that the Taliban were still being able
to cause massive havoc from what was their safe haven in
Pakistan...the very same Pakistan now involved in the ever dubious
still somewhat ongoing Iran negotiations. Seems President Trump and
his advisors did not learn a lesson in what was then
Afghanistan/Pakistan betrayal.
And when all Biden's fence-sitting diplomatic efforts failed to win even a modicum of U.S. political legitimacy amongst the Afghan people...people who saw Biden's withdrawal efforts as being both a betrayal and an outright abandonment of the Afghan people...the Taliban quickly moved back into Afghanistan to again rule the country sending the people back to the sixth century while they got to keep all our foolishly left behind advanced weaponry. And again, this was no matter the limited diplomatic efforts the Biden administration put forward to at least try to recoup some of that equipment.
“Diplomacy”
and
“deals”...two
words that infuriate me when it comes to Iran because for years
numerous presidents and their administrations...including that of
Trump during his first term in office...told us that Iran was the
world's leading state sponsor of terrorism, and that they had to be
dealt with before another 9/11 type scenario were to occur. Yes,
numerous administrations “talked
the talk” yet
no real actions were taken not even after Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu...the man whose very country was deemed to be
Iran's arch enemy number one...we were number two...addressed a joint
session of Congress during Trump's first term in office, and came
replete with charts and graphs which laid out the ugly truth for the
whole world to see.
But did we listen then...no...are we listening now...yes...while at the same time a certain individual within the current administration publicly stabbed the messenger and his country in the back, and continues to do so albeit trying to choose his words a bit more politically correct and cautiously.
Yet the bottom line is that it took until last summer when Iran was literally on the verge of finalizing construction of a nuclear weapon that we, together with Israel, sprung into action and turned Iran's nuclear facilities into rubble while at the same time Israel sent numerous key members of the regime on a one way trip to allah. And it seems that it was at this high point when things started to “go south” with talks of “negotiations and deals” entering into and dominating the discourse.
Simply,
“negotiations
and deals” with
those infamously famous for making “deals”
with
fingers crossed behind their backs is something Trump, and his
people, have yet to learn go nowhere, because Trump had again put his
reinstated bombings on temporary hold, as he once again wanted to
negotiate a deal...this time to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
And so while President Trump's intentions and ensuing military actions taken at the beginning of this war, and again now in the war's later stages, were done for all the right reasons and should not as such come into question, what should come into question...and it's long overdo...is why both our president and his advisors do not understand...or simply chose not to accept as fact... that “negotiations and deals” made with the enemy actually do fail more times than they are successful. And why...because not only do these scenarios give both sides time to regroup, rearm, and re-strategize, but what physical actions said deals temporarily stop Iran from doing see their proxies picking up the slack and doing.
Gives new and quite dubious meaning to these six ever truthful words, “with fingers crossed behind their backs,” I'd say.
And
then there's this...the difficult balance between compromise and
demands, which both sides tend to look at differently...as in
non-negotiable demands (Iran demands to be a nuclear power), vs. what
are deemed to be transitional time-framed demands (if Iran is still
behaving in a decade or so we'll revisit the issue of Iran enriching
uranium for peaceful uses alone... meaning if Iran meets our carved
in stone demanded time frame, then maybe in time we'll give them one
of their lesser demands...you give us this, maybe we'll give you
that.
Not a good way to win a war I'd say for all negotiating for deals does...and remember they usually do fail...is prolong the inevitable defeat for one side or the other whether the inevitable is the “good guy” or not. And here let's remember that when he ran for office...all three times that is...that Trump actually pledged to keep our beloved America out of what seemed to be “forever wars”...wars like Vietnam and Afghanistan...and yet now here we are in what could turn Iran into just such a war if we don't figure out a way to end this war with us being the victor, with that sadly meaning having to send in ground troops if that be the case.
And whether some like it or not...no matter which side of the political aisle one is currently on...previous wars both won and lost have shown that when wars are fought minus ground troops peace is usually not achieved. Why so... because airstrikes, missiles, and drones can do only so much. Yes, they do blow things up thus making certain needed things unavailable to the enemy., but bombings alone cannot secure areas, control the population, or secure a war's much needed objective of the enemy completely and “unconditionally surrendering.”
Simply,
for Iran not to have yet officially surrendered (which was Trump's
original objective that he foolishly strayed away from)...whether it
be unconditionally or otherwise... in spite of our overwhelming
military victories Iran has incurred...still means that we...that the
United States of America...has yet to win this war. Why so...because
Iran and its regime has outlasted and outmaneuvered President Trump
courtesy of its simple ability to endure, and shift the war
outward to encompass its fellow Arab neighbors while also now
starting to move outward from there...outward even into the Red Sea
at last report.
In fact, when I started writing this article...the bombings were back on again do to Iran's not only having launched a targeted missile attack against U.S. troops stationed in Jordan which resulted in three American deaths... to which President Trump then rightfully vowed to,“beat the f-king s-t out of” Iran...but the bombing attacks continued on as we and Saudi Arabia jointly struck Iran's proxy-aligned terrorists in Iraq...terrorists who had launched 30 drone attacks on U.S. aligned forces and assets in the region included Saudi's oil fields.
But now those “payback” attacks have ended...at least as I finish writing this...for we did what needed to be done while Trump remains caught up in a cycle that hoped for negotiations and deals can still end this war, which in my opinion it cannot. Why so...because right from the beginning President Trump and his people underestimated Iran's military arsenal as witnessed by the fact that they're still fighting back which has helped in the destabilizing of global energy markets, while at the same time putting some long held U.S. alliances in jeopardy.
In fact, in Iran's successfully playing the “let's make a deal and then break it game” it shows that they still possess “strategic liabilities” for the U.S., Israel. and all those aligned with us. Why so...because to date no winner has been declared in this war...no one on either side has surrendered to the other, for the fact remains that the true end to any war fought is solely attained when one side “surrenders” in defeat to the other.
And while I really don't see that happening anytime soon...unless Israel is allowed to do our job for us...I ask with all due respect that President Trump rejoin together with Israel...but leave JD Vance at home...and together finish the job that you started together. We as a nation do not need or want another Vietnam let alone another Afghanistan, most especially with not just the midterms fast approaching, but the 2028 presidential election only two years away. President Trump, it really does all rest on your shoulders...do what needs to be done, and please do it soon for there really might not be a later. Case closed.

And here might I add that this, for the most part, unwanted war has a consequence few ever wanted to see in that not only has Iran not yet lost this war, but that we have not won said war either.

Just a Thought
This thought below is my {Diane Sori) thought alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com
[[[ Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Iraq have today reported drone and missile attacks by Iran...the very country whose military equipment Trump grossly underestimated...after he suspended the two-week campaign of air strikes to again try to play 'Let's Make a Hormuz Deal' with Iran. Houston we still have a problem, and the problems name remains Donald Trump who could have easily won the war last summer if he did not emphatically tell Netanyahu it's a 'NO GO!.' So now the war seems to be expanding throughout the Middle East, because one man has NO idea what the hell he's doing! ]]]

Last summer when our “Operation Epic Fury” joined together with Israel's “Operation Roaring Lion” to successfully take out Iran's nuclear facilities we basked in the glory of an operation well done. And so too did the people of Iran...both the freedom fighters and protesters...who saw this as a long awaited sign that their decades long nightmare courtesy of an islamic regime run amok would soon be coming to an end, and that soon freedom coupled with free and fair elections would be returning to Iran in a relatively short period of time.
And so they patiently waited and watched as Israel “took out” most of the top tier of Iran's terrorist driven regime one-by-one until little was left of their tormentors, just the son of the now finally buried Ayatollah Khomeini...the son who still has yet to be physically seen...a man likely more dead than alive whose persona might well just be the face of the IRGC in disguise.
But sadly, what the Iranian people saw as last summer's victories being a true harbinger of freedom and peace has yet to be seen even after they had literally begged President Trump for help with Trump telling them that, “help is on the way.” But to this day, as I write this, said help, except for the bombs that go “boom,” has yet to arrive, now leading a growing number of folks to ask the question, “How did last summer's victories turn into the mess we now seem to be mired down in?”
Simply, once Iran's nuclear facilities were left being but deep craters in the sand; once the head of the snake that is the terrorist regime was removed from its body; the fact is that not only did freedom for the Iranian people get knocked down a peg or two on Trump's “to do list,” but we and they saw their plight actually being replaced by what turned this war into Iran vs. the U.S. for control of the oil shipping corridor know as the Strait of Hormuz.
And here might I add that this, for the most part, unwanted war has a consequence few ever wanted to see in that not only has Iran not yet lost this war, but that we have not won said war either.
A very sad commentary on the war itself in that “We the People” were originally told by our president that the war would last but four to five weeks...a “short term excursion” he said...and yet this what still is a justifiable war is now actually expanding to one degree or another throughout countries in the Middle East. A time frame promised yet a time frame far from being adhered to no matter that Israel...that Netanyahu...wanted to finish this war...as in get the job done...last summer, but Trump emphatically told Israel “no,” that he wanted to give diplomacy a chance first, no matter his originally saying that Iran must “unconditionally surrender.”
And here was Trump's first big mistake for in his saying “no” to Israel he either forgot, simply ignored, or was misinformed to the fact that wars must be either won or lost...there is no middle ground...and that diplomatic attempts at making deals with the enemy only prolongs a war even longer than it had to be. And such is indeed the case with Iran for not only did President Trump play the diplomacy game with avowed terrorists...a cardinal rule he so foolishly broke...but he actually gave these terrorists “extension after extension” even as they did laughingly cross his numerous “red lines” given...“red lines” they knew Trump never really had the courage to follow up on what with with “extensions” being seen by the enemy as a form of “capitulation”... “capitulation” unseen since the days of the highly unpopular Vietnam War.
And so in this still ongoing war with Iran, to put it in quite simplistic terms, we are right now in a stalemate of sorts with Iran for while we still see Trump...even after he ordered the bombings of Iran to continue in both scope and intensity after the recent Iranian caused deaths of three American service members stationed in Jordan and one in Iraq...not having ceased in his desire for a deal to be made to end this war...which again draws parallels to the last ditch attempts made to end the above stated Vietnam War back in the 1970's.
How so...because just like in Vietnam, Iran continues to militarily be able to fight back no matter what we throw at them or for how long.
Right from day one Trump misread the enemy...as in the islamic regime...just like we did with Vietnam back in the 1960's and '70's. How so...because in both wars we truly expected a very quick and easy “asymmetric” military victory. We thought we could “outgun” them, if you will, but instead the enemy's armies prevailed, and we ending up having to leave...to withdraw from Vietnam...in what was truly defeat in 1975. And now in Iran, and much to our surprise, we seem to have underestimated the sum total of their military equipment, hence Iran's ability to not just fight back, but to escalate the scope of the war itself.
And while the Iran war is not an actual protracted war of attrition per se...a war where victory is achieved solely by outlasting one's enemy as did happen in Vietnam with we being the enemy...we now as did Johnson and Nixon back then...never expected to be fighting against an enemy so dedicated to their cause...in Iran's case to an islamic ideology and mindset...that they were then just as Iran is now willing to give up everything if need be. And this includes down to the last man, woman, and child forfeiting their lives if need be...better that than to surrender or agree to make a deal just to be able to “save face” in the eyes of a now war weary world.
So here the question becomes two-fold, first can we prevent this war with Iran from turning into Vietnam revisited; and second can we see the war's end before this November's midterm elections or at least before the all-important 2028 presidential election?
To answer both parts of that question requires a five step answer, because we cannot allow Iran to claim any sort of victory by still being able to militarily cause havoc to Israel or its U.S. aligned Arab neighbors.
First: In my opinion, President Trump needs to publicly state that regime change is an absolute must along with the total dismantling of the IRGC, for without either action being taken we might find ourselves revisiting Iran sometime in the very near future.
Second: I believe the only way to prevent this war from becoming another Vietnam both logistically and time wise is by us securing a total, complete, and unquestionable military victory over Iran. We must no longer respond to Iran's still continuing military actions by just intensifying of our bombing raids, because while we are busy focusing on bombing, Iran is busy planning their next tactical move. And this matters because while Iran just might be buying time in an effort to take our focus off what are now their remaining military vulnerabilities, it could just as well be a “back channel” timed maneuver to secure more weapons through negotiations with countries that don't like us very much. And here I do not mean Russia or China, but Pakistan and North Korea.
Third: A conclusive end-game time frame must be put into place for us to be leaving Iran as the victor, because the last thing we want is another long drawn out war...read Vietnam and Afghanistan here...or to be deemed “military occupiers.”
Fourth: I strongly believe that we cannot and must not allow Iran to win the always ongoing PR war simply by their “winning by not actually surrendering.” A formal surrender is a must for to allow Iran to bypass that formality shows great weakness on our part...“capitulating” to the enemy even if it's just so that the enemy can garner some semblance of “saving face.” The optics of that on the world stage would for us be absolutely humiliating, as well as being a slap in the face to our military.
Fifth: I seriously doubt we will see the war with Iran being over before the midterm elections being less than four months away. Logistics and the war now extending into Iran's neighboring Gulf States has seen to that as it helps to bolster Iran's image of standing strong against the U.S. And as far as 2028 is concerned as long as JD Vance continues on in his defaming of Israel, as long as President Trump keeps spouting the words “ negotiation” or “deal,” we just might see not only two elections lost but Vietnam revisited. Case closed.
