[[[ Let me start by saying that I want us...the U.S. and our ally Israel...to win this war as war does require a definitive winner and looser, and for the sake of the Iranian people it best be us.

  

But now comes this new announcement that “Watch this space for more announcements coming next week because we are going to apply measures like have never been seen in the history of economic isolation on a country,” as per Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent during a Newsmax interview last night . And while that's well and fine, the fact remains that of late it seems that every Friday afternoon there's some big new important  announcement that more times than not turns out to either have gone nowhere or be a minimal success at best.

 

So here I say, as I'm sure many others do, that wouldn't it be better to tell us...as in "We the American People" ...that whatever that something was, was a success after actually having been accomplished..after all common sense and logic sort of dictates just that, instead of us choosing to let the enemy know that something big "is coming soon."

 

Nothing like giving the enemy a heads up so they can prepare their retaliation ahead of time, while the Iranian people...the very people who begged us for help...are the ones not only suffering the most, but who truly do seem to be lost in the shuffle of everything Hormuz. What a sad situation we and they now find ourselves in, and it will surely only get worse before it gets better...if there even is now a "better" to be had. ]]]

Gun Owners of America (GOA) and Silencer Shop, a federal firearms licensee covered by the ruling linked to the sale and transfer of silencers, notified the Trump administration Thursday they planned to begin transferring gun silencers without going through the National Firearms Act registration and approval process that has governed such transactions for decades.

Just after midnight Thursday, two gun owners walked out of a Texas firearms dealer with silencers without first completing the federal registration and approval process that has governed such transfers for generations, according to Gun Owners of America. Read more, see video and photos here.

Dire conditions reported aboard USS Abraham Lincoln as sailors try to jump overboard after longest deployment-ever at sea

Democratic lawmakers are demanding answers from the War Department about conditions on board the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln after multiple reports indicate the grind of an extended deployment has taken a severe mental toll on the ship’s roughly 5,000 sailors and Marines.

On Tuesday, Navy Times reported that at least two sailors had to be prevented from jumping overboard, while other family members who spoke to the outlet said their loved ones were in a deep funk aboard the Lincoln.

The Wall Street Journal reported that one person actually “went overboard” in early August but was quickly rescued, citing a US official. 

The carrier began a scheduled seven-month deployment in the South China Sea this past November, but was redirected to the Arabian Sea in January, shortly before the start of Operation Epic Fury against Iran. It has remained there ever since. Read more, and see photos bere.
