Ron DeSantis calls for Ilhan Omar’s deportation, expulsion from Congress for ‘Somalia First’ comments
Omar Somalia with her family during the country's civil war and spent four years at a Kenyan refugee camp before immigrating to the US in 1995

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday called for "Squad" member Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., to be expelled from Congress, have her citizenship revoked, and deported from the country over a speech she gave which critics alleged Omar put the interests of Somalis over Americans.

The clip of Omar’s Jan. 27 speech, which went viral this week, appeared to show the Somali-born congresswoman assuring her constituents that she would use her influence to ensure the breakaway Republic of Somaliland would not enter a sea-access deal with Ethiopia.

A translation of the clip DeSantis re-shared shows Omar telling the crowd: "The U.S. is a country where one of your daughters is in Congress to represent your interest."

"For as long as I am in the U.S. Congress, Somalia will never be in danger, its waters will not be stolen by Ethiopia or others … Sleep in comfort, knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the U.S. system." Read more, see Xs and videos here.

Marjorie Taylor Greene predicts Mayorkas impeachment articles will pass House without any Dem support
Greene introduced the impeachment articles in November, accusing Mayorkas of 'breach of public trust'

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., is predicting that not a single House Democrat will vote in favor of impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the migrant crisis at the border.

The House Homeland Security Committee is meeting Tuesday morning to advance two articles of impeachment against Mayorkas – one for "willful and systematic refusal to comply with the law," and the second accusing him of a "breach of public trust."

"I still can't believe I had to force the floor vote on the House floor," Greene told Fox News Digital. "I guess I can be thanking these Democrats and these eight Republicans now that those articles of impeachment were moved, that my articles were moved to Homeland because… Chairman Mark Green and the other Republicans on Homeland, having dealt face-to-face and gone through all the hearings that we did, with all the witnesses that we brought in…they had the will to impeach Mayorkas." Op-ed:
The Media...An Enemy Within

...
The fix was in, and FOX might as well now officially call itself “Trump Central  as their once “Fair and Balanced” moniker is one for the media history books as their sole driving force seems to be to dominate the entire media discourse by any and all means possible. And last Monday night's actions has led me to believe that FOX is...to some degree...guilty of overt “election interference” and maybe even “election suppression” by their...and the other networks...calling the election caucus way too early not to have swayed votes.

And while some will say it would not have changed the final outcome in favor of Trump, it indeed did. How so? While Trump might still have been the winner, he might not have reached the all-important 50% thresh hold which would have allowed the other candidates to be awarded more delegates and Trump less delegates...a key factor numbers wise in regards to the nominating convention.

So now FOX joins the collective of what I consider to be the media being the one who actually does choose our candidates and nominees for us...with no vacillation or disagreement allowed as to their discourse...Read entire article and see video here.

Arab officials held secret meeting to discuss plans for post-war Gaza
Barak Ravid /  .axios.com

Senior national security officials from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and the Palestinian Authority secretly met in Riyadh 10 days ago to coordinate plans for the day after the war in Gaza and discuss ways to involve a revitalized Palestinian Authority in governing there, three sources with knowledge of the meeting told Axios.

Why it matters: The meeting is another sign of the increased coordination between Saudi Arabia and the Palestinian Authority in recent months, especially since the war in Gaza started.

  • The Palestinian Authority and its Arab allies are increasingly discussing plans for the day after the conflict ends but the Israeli government has said little about how it sees Gaza being governed if it achieves its goal of defeating Hamas.
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opposes allowing the Palestinian Authority to have a role in Gaza but hasn't proposed an alternative. Israeli Defense Forces chief of staff Gen. Herzi Halevi warned the Israeli security cabinet that the military gains in Gaza could go to waste without an Israeli diplomatic plan for the day after.
Iran-backed militia attack update: 34 US service members injured, 8 evacuated from Jordan
The fatalities marked a major escalation after months of strikes by such groups against American forces across the Middle East

The number of injured continues to climb after Iran-backed militias killed three U.S. service members and injured dozens more in an overnight attack on a military base in northeast Jordan.

By late Sunday, the number of injured had climbed to 34 service members. This included at least eight personnel whose injuries warranted an evacuation from Jordan to higher-level care, though they were believed to be in stable condition.

Fox News is told all service members are being fully evaluated for follow-on care. The number of injured was expected to fluctuate.

The injuries mostly include traumatic brain injury, though the number of cases will likely go up as symptoms can take time to develop.

Militant groups targeted the logistics support base located at Tower 22 of the Jordanian Defense Network. There are around 350 U.S. Army and Air Force personnel deployed at the base to counter ISIS. Read more, see X and video here.
