Hey, UN Corruptocrats: Spare Us Refugee Sanctimony

Another United Nations summit in New York. Another finger-wagging extravaganza. Another useless "historic declaration" (nonbinding, of course) to save the world (by holding another summit ... in two years).

As America reels from the latest terrorist attacks by Muslim refugees and immigrants in New York, New Jersey and Minnesota, the world's global do-gooders filled the Big Apple with their humanitarian hot air. U.N. officials convened in NYC this week to push for "collective action" to "protect the rights of refugees and migrants, to save lives and share responsibility for large movements on a global scale."

Let me put this as politely as possible: Bug off, U.N. nitwits.

Islamic jihadists are lopping off infidels' heads; kidnapping young African girls, Christian missionaries and Western tourists; incinerating Afghan schoolgirls; imposing mass genital mutilation on Muslim girls and marrying them off to lecherous brutes while they're still in grade school; pushing gays off of rooftops; mob-raping European women; casting fatwas on cartoonists, filmmakers and authors; and stabbing, shooting and bombing Jews, Christians and ex-Muslim apostates all over the world.

McConnell: We're Delaying Vacation In Order To Override Obama's Veto Of 9/11 Bill

Congress passed legislation that would allow the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks to file lawsuits against Saudi Arabia. The Obama White House threatened to veto it, despite overwhelming bipartisan support. Obama plans to veto the bill this Friday, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that the upper chamber would remain in session, delaying their planned recess to hold a vote to override the veto (via The Hill):

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Tuesday that the Senate will take up an expected veto override of legislation that lets families of 9/11 victims sue Saudi Arabia in U.S. courts before breaking for the elections. 

"Both of those we'll have to deal with before we depart," McConnell told reporters. 

The Senate is scheduled to be in session through early October, but lawmakers were hoping to leave town as soon as this week until after the election.

McConnell said Tuesday that it's "safe to say" the Senate will be in session next week.

Both bills passed the House and Senate through unanimous consent, with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) saying that he’s very confident they could muster the two-thirds majority to override the president’s veto.

—Ahmad Rahami was pictured in Pakistan with his brother, Mohammad Khan Rahami, as the pair cooked kebobs
—The 2013 trip was one of a series of lengthy visits he made to the country and to Afghanistan which are now under FBI scrutiny
—-It is unclear exactly where picture was taken but he is known to have spent time in Quetta, a hotbed of fundamentalism
—-His brother and sister have both posted what appear to be pro-jihadi material, with his sister Aziza posting: ‘No to democracy.’ ...

So Hillary Clinton has a “Comprehensive Terrorism Plan” ?

Following the recent bombings in New York and New Jersey, as well as the Minnesota mall attack of this past weekend, Hillary Clinton’s staff was quick to release a statement reassuring us all that the Democrat Party’s nominee for President of the United States has a “comprehensive plan” for dealing with terrorism. So quick was her campaign’s response that one would get the impression that she had a prepared statement just waiting in the event a terrorist attack occurred before the November election. How prescient.

Typical of politicians who like to throw out catchy campaign slogans and catch-phrases, when Hillary Clinton uses terms like “comprehensive plan” it’s nothing more than her hoping that it sounds ‘presidential’ to voters. She might have some dog and pony show prepared that she can put on for voters, but the reality is that when she was part of the Obama Administration’s National Security Team she supported a policy failure which has resulted in the growth of radical Islam around the world.

The bottom line is that we will never succeed in this war on terrorism by being in denial, or by being more concerned about political correctness, and refusing to identify the challenge that we face. Something the Obama Administration has been doing now for nearly eight years. Weakness and indecision, or making bad decisions begets failure, and likely costs innocent lives.

Bombing Terror Suspect's Family Once Sued Police for Anti-Muslim Discrimination

New York bomb suspect Ahmad Kahn Rahami's family is also making headlines on Monday. After Rahami's arrest, news has come to light that the suspected terrorist's family once sued police for what they claimed was Muslim discrimination.

 

Rahami's family owns a restaurant in Elizabeth, New Jersey called First American Fried Chicken. They sued police in 2011 after being ticketed on multiple occasions and being pressured to close their establishment early. They claimed this targeting was due to their Muslim faith. Yet, a neighbor who reported the business to authorities, said his concerns were simply that the restaurant was open too late and had nothing to do with the fact that they are Muslim.
