In Statement Responding to Electoral Certification, Trump Acknowledges the End of His Term
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” he said.
The statement came less than a day after protesters stormed the U.S. Capitol Building, forcing lawmakers to evacuate. According to DC police, four people died; one woman was shot by U.S. Capitol Police and three others died in “medical emergencies.” Two pipe bombs were also found at the RNC and DNC headquarters, along with a cooler full of Molotov cocktails.

He's also arguing the merits of court cases brought by the Trump campaign and allied groups weren't heard on the merits, but thrown out on technicalities. From his piece in USA Today:
I hate federal commissions. I have always hated federal commissions. Federal commissions are Washington’s way of managing scandals. They work like placebos for political fevers, convincing voters that answers and change are on the way. That is why it is so difficult for me to utter these words: We need a federal election commission. Not the one proposed by some Senate Republicans. And not like past placebo commissions. An honest-to-God, no-holds-barred federal commission to look into the 2020 presidential election.

Iran starts 20% uranium enrichment, seizes South Korean ship
By Geller Report Staff
Iran must be stopped. The world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism must never be allowed to manufacture nuclear weapons.Iran began enriching uranium Monday to levels unseen since its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers and also seized a South Korean-flagged tanker near the crucial Strait of Hormuz, a double-barreled challenge to the West that further raised Mideast tensions.
Both decisions appeared aimed at increasing Tehran’s leverage in the waning days in office for President Donald Trump, whose unilateral withdrawal from the atomic accord in 2018 began a series of escalating incidents.
Increasing enrichment at its underground Fordo facility puts Tehran a technical step away from weapons-grade levels of 90%, while also pressuring President-elect Joe Biden to quickly negotiate. Iran’s seizure of the MT Hankuk Chemi comes as a South Korean diplomat was due to travel to the Islamic Republic to discuss the release of billions of dollars in Iranian assets now frozen in Seoul.

Report: Dems 'Bracing for Defeat' in Georgia
In a piece titled, “Biden transition hoping for victory but bracing for defeat in Georgia,” Politico explains that Biden’s advisers are “privately skeptical” about the Democrats’ chances against Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.
The transition team has been busy preparing different scenarios for its legislative agenda depending on Tuesday’s results, the outlet said.
One member of the Biden transition team told Politico that pulling off two victories in a state where a Democrat hasn’t been elected to the Senate in more than two decades would be “nothing short of a miracle.”
