Ernst bill would defund EcoHealth Alliance, other orgs that 'disregard the law'

Republican Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa aims to strip taxpayer funding from EcoHealth Alliance and other nonprofits that "disregard the law." 

Ernst will introduce the Stop the Outlay of Payments (STOP) Act Tuesday, which would cut off all federal funding to any organization that has had a federal award suspended or terminated by an agency of the federal government. Her office said the legislation targets EcoHealth, a controversial New York City-based nonprofit with ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). 

"Like China, EcoHealth will not cooperate with scientific investigations into the origins of COVID-19, and, as a result, we may never know what was happening inside the Wuhan Institute and the possible connection to the pandemic. It makes me sick that Iowa taxpayers have been forced to foot the bill for organizations like EcoHealth that refuse to be accountable and transparent," Ernst told Fox News...Read more and see videos here.

Biden admin is preparing to target Americans' gas furnaces amid stove crackdown

The Biden administration is expected to soon finalize regulations restricting which home gas-powered furnaces consumers are able to purchase in the future.

According to experts, the regulations — proposed in June 2022 by the Department of Energy (DOE) — would restrict consumer choice, drive prices higher and likely have a low impact on greenhouse gas emissions. The agency could finalize the rules targeting residential gas furnaces, which more than 50% of American households rely on for space heating, at any point over the upcoming weeks.

"This is a classic example of one size not fitting all," Ben Lieberman, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, told Fox News Digital in an interview. "Every home is different, every homeowner is different and people are best off having a wide range of choices. They can work with their contractor to make the best decision for their home and their circumstances." Read more and see video here.

Why DeSantis 2024...Part One

...Simply, I believe that the time has come for the next generation of leaders to take over for the problems we face here at home and the adversaries we face overseas would best be handled by those whose very future depends on what actions are taken now and by whom. And while the “Greatest Generation” and even some “Baby Boomers” have comprised some of our greatest leaders, their time and style of leadership must come to an end for wise men know that while with age (usually) comes wisdom, sometimes age itself tends to signal cognitive decline alone.

And while said decline is obvious in Joe Biden...I see certain words spoken and actions taken that I hoped never to see in President Trump. A “Baby Boomer” himself, Trump now focuses not on the problems we Americans face, but solely on stopping Ron DeSantis from garnering the nomination. Trump is fixated on DeSantis to such a degree that some Republicans and many independents are beginning to wonder if Trump himself is not showing signs of early cognitive decline. Ego is one thing, but acting as if the nomination is owed you to make up for 2020 is an entirely different matter. Wise men move on from defeat no matter how said defeat came about, something Trump refuses to do, and with ego being his driving force no option is off the table, not even the breaking of Reagan's “eleventh commandment” not to speak ill of one's fellow Republicans...Read entire article and see videos here.

Tim Scott earns praise after leaving liberal 'View' host 'speechless' with 'undeniable facts'

'Outnumbered' weighs in after Sunny Hostin presses Sen. Tim Scott to define systemic racism.

"Outnumbered" panelists praised Republican presidential candidate Tim Scott for his "phenomenal" response to questioning about systemic racism on "The View." 

"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin pressed Scott to define systemic racism, noting that he was the first African-American to be elected to the Senate in the South since Reconstruction. She called Scott and herself the "exception" but not the rule in America.

Scott then reminded Hostin that the U.S. has had an African-American president, vice president and two secretaries of state. 

"That is a dangerous, offensive, disgusting message to send to our young people today that the only way to succeed is by being the exception," Scott said.
