VP Harris blasted for 'tone deaf' post announcing anti-Islamophobia plan amid Israel-Hamas war 

Hate crimes against Jewish people up 37% last year, FBI reports

Vice President Kamala Harris was blasted on social media over a video "announcing the country's first National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia" with most users taking issue with the timing of the post just weeks after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. 

"Taking on hate is a national priority," Harris posted on X, rolling out the White House plan to "combat a surge of hate in America."

The timing of the post was immediately criticized on social media, and many also pointed out the recent surge in hate crimes against Jewish people.

"On the same day Hamas leadership goes on international TV and declares their goal is to erase Jews and Israel off the planet," The Spectator editor Stephen L. Miller posted on X. "Just stunning."

"According to the FBI director, Jews make up 2.4% of the US population but are the targets of 60% of hate crimes," political commentator Gad Saad posted on X. "This is why it is apparently important to fight Islamophobia according to the White House." Read more and see video here.

House GOP Passes Israel Aid Bill Offset by IRS Funding Cut

The House of Representatives passed its multi-billionaire Israel aid bill offset by IRS funding cuts. 

On Thursday, in a 226 to 196 vote, the GOP approved legislation to send $14.3 billion in federal aid to Israel amid enduring relentless attacks by Hamas terrorists. 

12 Democrats joined Republicans in the vote to pass the bill. Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) voted against the bill. 

Republican Policy Committee Chairman Gary Palmer (R-Ala) praised the bill’s passing, saying, “With this piece of legislation, we are helping an ally in need while also cutting funding from Joe Biden’s weaponized IRS. These funds are better used supporting Israel than being used by IRS agents to audit middle-class Americans.”

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa) highlighted the fact that among those murdered in Israel were American citizens.

Dem mayors begging Biden for help with migrant surge reject $1.4 billion aid, want $5 billion instead

The mayors of Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles and New York have requested $5 billion to aid in the surge of migrants

Several mayors who welcomed a surge of migrants into their sanctuary cities are now requesting the Biden administration give them billions of dollars in federal aid to help support these new residents.

The mayors of Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles and New York have urgently requested to meet with President Biden about getting federal support or resources in managing these migrants.

In a letter obtained by The Associated Press, the Democratic leaders told the Biden administration on Wednesday that they appreciate the $1.4 billion in proposed aid but that they need much more — a whopping $5 billion — to ease the new burden on their cities.

"While we are greatly appreciative of the additional federal funding proposed, our city budgets and local taxpayers continue to bear the brunt of this ongoing federal crisis," the letter says. "Cities have historically absorbed and integrated new migrants with success." Read more and see video here.

Israeli losses rise in Gaza as President Biden calls for 'pause' in Hamas war

Israeli Defense forces reported 17 deaths inside the Gaza Strip as its retaliatory war on Hamas war neared the 30-day mark. Until this week, Israel had largely relied on airstrikes and artillery to retaliate against Hamas' massacre in Israel on Oct. 7. More than 9,900 people have been killed in the war on both sides since the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre.

President Biden said there should be a "pause" in the Israel-Hamas War to provide humanitarian aid to Gazans and get those trapped in the Gaza Strip released.

The comment came during a campaign event in Minnesota on Wednesday evening, when a member of the audience shouted: "As a rabbi, I need you to call for a ceasefire right now.”

The president — who has not supported a ceasefire since the war began on October 7 — said that he would support a "pause."

“I think we need a pause," Biden began. "A pause means give time to get the prisoners out.”

In his comments, Biden was exerting pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to give Palestinians a brief reprieve from Israel's retaliatory military operation. At campuses across the U.S., anti-Israel protesters have organized massive demonstrations since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7. The surge in incidents has been paired with antisemitic rhetoric and violence against Jews, leaving many students feeling unsafe and fearful of attending class.

"So we've had a plethora of incidents happen at UC Berkeley, everything from two physical assaults of students getting physically hurt on campus. We've had professors offering bonus and extra credit to students for attending pro-Hamas rallies. But the most concerning is Jewish student leaders getting an email from administration telling us to avoid certain parts of campus, to avoid showing our faces, to avoid filming these incidents and at these events, due to a fear of our safety," UC Berkeley student Danielle Sobkin said on "FOX & Friends First" Tuesday.

"So what does it mean when administrators are telling me to not be a target, which is leading me to believe that in order to be safe on campus at UC Berkeley, I need to hide my Jewish identity." Read more and see videos here.
