Feds arrest suspect in 2012 Benghazi consulate attack, Bondi says

Federal authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi. 

The suspect, Zubayr al-Bakoush, has been extradited to the United States to face charges related to murder, terrorism and arson, Bondi announced at a press conferenc.

“We have never stopped seeking justice for that crime against our nation,” she said. 

The attorney general called al-Bakoush “one of the key participants” behind the attack and said he arrived at Andrews Air Force Base at 3 a.m. Friday, met by FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, whose office will prosecute the case.

The four Americans killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack, when a coalition of extremists targeted U.S. facilities in Benghazi, were J. Christopher Stevens, the then-U.S. ambassador to Libya; Sean Smith, who served as a State Department information management officer in Benghazi; and Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, who were Navy SEALS and CIA security contractors.

Trump to unveil TrumpRx website where Americans can purchase prescription drugs

White House says 'historic announcement' will save Americans billions

President Donald Trump is set to officially unveil a new website called TrumpRx on Thursday evening, which his administration says will allow Americans to purchase prescription drugs at lower costs. 

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the announcement is scheduled for 7 p.m. EST and will feature Trump alongside CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz and National Design Studio Director Joe Gebbia.

"This historic announcement will save millions of Americans money," Leavitt wrote on X. "You won’t want to miss it!"

CNN reported that at least 16 drug manufacturers have negotiated agreements with the administration to participate in TrumpRx, but specifics on available drugs and pricing remain unclear.

The White House announced in December that Trump had reached agreements with nine major pharmaceutical companies, including Amgen, Merck, Novartis, Sanofi and Bristol Myers Squibb.

Milwaukee City Attorney Evan Goyke said in 2020 that he wanted to "dismantle" the police. Goyke was a State Rep for Milwaukee in 2020 and said at the time, "this system, with its massive and growing budgets, must be dismantled and rebuilt.” Now Goyke is the City Attorney for Milwaukee, and it seems he's found a way to "dismantle" that system: by refusing to defend officers in civil rights lawsuits. 

In an exclusive from Milwaukee radio host Dan O'Donnell, the Milwaukee Police Association sent a letter to Goyke about his failures.

The letter reads in part: 

"On behalf of the Milwaukee Police Association, which represents the sworn officers who serve this community with dedication, professionalism, and integrity, I am writing to express serious and growing concerns about the continued mishandling of police-related legal matters by the City Attorney’s Office. Read more, see Xs and videos here.

For weeks, President Donald Trump has promised the Iranian people that "help is on the way" while positioning a massive U.S. naval armada within striking distance of Iran’s coast. But as the White House pivots toward a diplomatic summit in Istanbul Friday, analysts warn the president may face a growing credibility test if threats are not followed by action.

By threatening "speed and fury" against a regime accused of killing thousands of protesters, Trump has drawn a red line — one that analysts say echoes President Barack Obama’s 2013 warning over Syria’s use of chemical weapons. Obama ultimately chose diplomacy over military strikes, a decision critics said weakened U.S. credibility and emboldened adversaries, while supporters argued it avoided a broader war and succeeded in removing large portions of Syria’s chemical arsenal. Trump now faces a similar debate as he weighs whether to enforce his own warnings against Iran.

Wannabe Trump Assassin Is Going to Spend a LONG TIME Behind Bars

The legal proceedings concerning the second assassination attempt on Donald Trump have concluded. Ryan Routh has been apprehended, formally charged, tried, and subsequently convicted of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump in September 2024. He is expected to spend his remaining life in incarceration, plus an additional 84 months, as reported by The Palm Beach Post:

 

"U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon sentenced Donald Trump's would-be assassin to life in prison on Feb. 4, rejecting his bid for leniency. 

Ryan Routh's attorney had suggested a 27-year sentence would be punishment enough for the failed plot to kill Trump, a crime he said hurt no one. Federal prosecutors disagreed, noting that of the many legitimate ways to oppose a presidential candidate, murder is not one of them. 

Cannon's decision comes four months after jurors convicted Routh of attempted assassination, assaulting a federal officer and several firearms offenses. The first charge alone carried a potential life sentence. Read more, see X, and video.
