Report: Netanyahu to lead effort in thwarting Obama bid for UN chief

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper 'Al-Jarida,' Israeli leader will rally moderate Arabs to sabotage Obama plan to succeed Ban Ki-moon.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remembers well just how US President Barack Obama brushed aside Israeli objections and went ahead with the P5+1 nuclear agreement with Iran.

Now, Netanyahu is reportedly planning some personal payback.

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, Netanyahu will make common cause with moderate Arab governments in order to sabotage Obama’s plan to succeed Ban Ki-moon when the South Korean diplomat ends his term as United Nations secretary-general on December 31 of this year.

Al-Jarida quoted sources as saying that Obama has already discussed the issue of running for secretary-general with Democrats, Republicans, and Jewish officials in the US.

The sources said that once Netanyahu got wind of Obama’s plans, the prime minister began to make efforts to submarine what he has referred to as “the Obama project.”

While liberal pundits and politicians continue to try and delegitimize the work of the Benghazi Select Committee by claiming it has political motives, witnesses who have testified before the panel admit the committee members are professional and they have the right priorities in mind.

Latest case in point: David Petraeus.

Petraeus, the former director of the CIA, testified before the committee Wednesday afternoon. Upon exiting the hearing, he told reporters that the meeting was “very constructive.”

Likewise, Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff Cheryl Mills complimented the committee on their “professionalism” and thanked them for treating her with respect during her day’s testimony this fall.

Yet, despite such positive feedback, Democrats, even ones participating on the panel like Elijah Cummings, continue to dismiss the investigation as a “charade.”

Jumping on House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s unfortunate suggestion this September that the Benghazi committee was created to bring down Clinton’s poll numbers, liberals like Cummings have insisted the investigation is a politically motivated waste of taxpayers’ time and money.

Yet, as you’ll see in exclusive Townhall interviews with the secret soldiers of Benghazi, answers still linger as to why they were told to stand down as Americans, including our U.S. ambassador, were under fire at the U.S. consulate. Former members of the Obama administration like Defense Secretary Leon Panetta claim no such orders were given, but the security contractors who were there on the ground tell a much different story.

The Benghazi committee has now interviewed 66 witnesses. Sixty-five of them, Chairman Trey Gowdy would remind you, are not named “Clinton.”

Media Form A Human Shield Around Democrats

It must be nice to be a Democrat. Aside from the being an idiot part. And the hating America part, the loathing the military part, the despising success part, the envy, the hatred and the anger parts too.

The fact that so many of them are mutant, economic illiterates and save a fortune on their water bills by avoiding showering aside, I’m not talking about your drum-circling, living off of mommy and daddy’s money, social justice warrior Democrat.  I’m talking about the filthy rich, suckle government power, tell everyone how to live while living exactly the opposite way type Democrat – the ones giving the orders from the Ritz; not the grunts.

The grunts have it pretty easy too, don’t get me wrong. Remember Occupy Wall Street? They were going to change the world, according to the media, and bring about a “fair” Utopia that would reinvent our economic system. All they did was defecate on police cars, contribute to the resurgence of lice and bring the heretofore-unneeded concept of “rape-free tents” into the public consciousness. They were the “North African and Middle Eastern migrants” of their time – anything awful they did was ignored by the mainstream media to avoid upsetting the narrative. The narrative is everything.

The narrative of Occupy Wall Street faded because it didn’t catch on. In spite of the media’s help, the American people simply couldn’t be manipulated into believing they had less because someone else had more. The trust fund troubadours of Zuccotti Park, even with all their bongo playing and poetry slams, could not turn the have-somes against the have-mores. The world simply moved on.

Actually that’s not the title of yesterday’s blockbuster report in the Wall Street Journal. Here’s the WSJ title: “Missing U.S. Missile Shows Up in Cuba.”
 
“An inert U.S. Hellfire missile sent to Europe (Spain) for training purposes was wrongly shipped from there to Cuba in 2014,” continues the WSJ, “a loss of sensitive military technology that ranks among the worst-known incidents of its kind. The unintended delivery of the missile to Cuba has confounded investigators and experts who work in a regulatory system designed to prevent precisely such equipment from falling into the wrong hands… Investigators are unclear if the incident was an error or the result of espionage. For more than a year, amid a historic thawing of relations between the U.S. and Cuba, American authorities have tried to get the Cuban government to return the missile.”

“Cuban officials are reportedly convulsed in guffaws very similar to their guffaws in response to the request by Obama officials for the return of some of the FBI’s most-wanted criminals who live like celebrities in Cuba. The hilarity displayed by Cuban officials in the face of sweating Obama administration officials reportedly also caused spittle to actually splatter the shaken U.S. officials when they meekly inquired about the return of the $7 billion Castro stole at Soviet gunpoint from U.S. citizens in 1960.
