'Illegal and Not Constitutional': DeSantis Slams Biden For Flying Immigrants into Florida

POLK COUNTY, FL—Governor Ron DeSantis slammed President Joe Biden Wednesday morning for flying over 300,000 migrants into Florida, accusing the president of enacting secretive and illegal precedents.

The migrant flights are "illegal and not constitutional," DeSantis said at a Polk County press conference, where he announced $2.5 billion in highway overhauls. "They don't tell us anytime somebody comes in...It may be the case [Biden] is bringing people in under this illegal parole program, and then they're migrating to sanctuary jurisdictions,"

"We're suing over [Biden's parole program]," he added.

Biden's parole program was already challenged in court by a series of Republican-led states but was ultimately upheld by a judge last month. The program has been in effect since January 2023, allowing up to 30,000 people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the country monthly.

Illegal Alien Arrested For Aggravated Murder Was Previously Deported 7 Times

Authorities arrested an illegal immigrant in Ohio who was previously deported seven times after being charged with aggravated murder. 

46-year-old Fermin Garcia-Gutierrez was taken into custody after a body was found in an alleyway in the small town of Hamilton, Ohio. 

Customs and Border Protection revealed that the illegal immigrant was not only deported seven times from the United States but he has also been jailed 11 times— with his first arrest dating back to 2001. 

Garcia-Gutierrez was also charged with using weapons while intoxicated, carrying concealed weapons, possession of drugs, and obstructing official business.

Last month, the illegal alien was arrested on charges not related to the murder. 

“I can tell you this, that person would be alive today and if you don’t think that it’s affecting you in Butler County, Ohio, we’re all border states; we’re all border counties. It’s here and we could go on and on,” Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said.  See X and video here.

A new study finds most millennials stayed put in 2023, but those who did move typically chose red-leaning states and cities over blue locations.

HireAHelper, an online marketplace for finding moving services, recently released its Millennial Migration study, analyzing Census Bureau data to determine how many millennials moved in 2023, where they were moved to, and why. 

Over the past 10 years, the share of millennials who moved has dropped from 21% in 2013 to just under 11% in 2023, which is a sharper drop than the overall national decline in moving.

Economic reasons and lifestyle changes topped the list of reasons for why millennials chose to move, including wanting new or better housing (16%), changing jobs (13%) wanting to establish a household (11%), and wanting to own a home or to find cheaper housing (both 9%).

Texas Defends Its Anti-Illegal Immigration Law In Court Against the Biden Admin

The state of Texas spent Wednesday in court defending its anti-illegal immigration law against the Biden Administration, which says is unconstitutional, impedes international relations, and hinders the federal government’s enforcement of immigration law.  

 

The state argued before a three-judge panel that President Joe Biden’s ongoing border crisis has caused tens of thousands of illegal aliens to enter the United States, wreaking havoc on American communities and resources. 

“There's always been people who cross the border," Solicitor General Aaron Nielson said. "But before, we talked about hundreds of thousands. Now, we talk about millions. Before, we talked about tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors. Now, we talk about hundreds of thousands. Before, we talked about a few countries. Now, we talk about essentially all countries.”
