Steve Hilton Isn’t Even Governor Yet, and He’s Already Exposing California Welfare Fraud
Dmitri Bolt / Townhall Tipsheet

California Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton hasn’t even been elected yet, and he’s already doing good for the state. In late January, Hilton launched CalDOGE, a self-styled California Department of Government Efficiency initiative, and within days, his team claims to have uncovered widespread abuse in the state’s welfare system.

While it’s no secret that California extends benefits to illegal immigrants, Hilton says his team has found something even more egregious: Mexican citizens allegedly posing as illegal immigrants to obtain Medi-Cal benefits on the taxpayers’ dime, then returning to live full-time in Mexico.

"We already announced it. We announced it last week, CalDOGE, the California Department of Government Efficiency, and we are already working on a volunteer basis," Hilton revealed to Grant Stinchfield on Real America's Voice in early February. "We had a meeting this morning with the team, going through...Read more, see Xs and video here.

Greenland 'Framework' Not an End to Still-Open Questions
Eric Mack / NEWSMAX

The outline of the Greenland "framework" brought forward by President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has left the question of Greenland's sovereignty open, not closed.

The Greenland standoff is poised to continue after leaked outlines of the proposed arrangement suggested the U.S. is seeking sovereign control over the land footprint of future American military installations — rather than over all of Greenland, according to Eurointelligence.

"We should also not be complacent about the substance of the Greenland dispute," Eurointelligence wrote Friday. "The immediate threat is removed, but the issue is not settled yet."

Even limited sovereignty over base territory would still cross a political red line for both Greenland's government and Denmark, raising the risk that negotiations shift from security access to a broader dispute over territorial authority. Read more and see video here.

Bombshell New Docs Show Trump Called Police About Epstein in 2006: ‘Thank Goodness You’re Stopping Him’
Rusty Weiss / RedState

Newly unsealed Department of Justice documents reveal that in July 2006, then businessman Donald Trump was one of the first to call police to warn them about sex predator Jeffrey Epstein.

The documents include a previously unreported 2019 FBI interview summary with former Palm Beach police chief Michael Reiter. Trump had contacted the department shortly after reports of Epstein's criminal sex investigation became public.

The future president contacted Reiter to express relief that authorities were finally acting, suggesting his associates in New York had described Epstein's behaviors as "disgusting," and advised investigators to focus on Ghislaine Maxwell, whom he described as "evil."

The Miami Herald first reported on the development.

The first mention of Trump in the FBI interview summary notes that he told investigators that he "threw Epstein out" of Mar-a-Lago, something he has maintained consistently over the yearsRead more and see Xs here,

Iran draws missile red line as analysts warn Tehran is stalling US talks
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned Tehran would target US bases if attacked
Morgan Phillips / Fox News

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said his country would not negotiate on its ballistic missile program, rejecting a core U.S. demand and further dimming prospects for a breakthrough deal.

He again warned in an interview with Al Jazeera that Tehran, Iran, would target U.S. bases in the Middle East if provoked, calling Iran’s missile program "never negotiable."

The warnings came as U.S. and Iranian negotiators met in early February in Oman, even as Washington continued to build up military forces across the region — a posture U.S. officials say is meant to deter further escalation but which analysts argue also underscores how far apart the two sides remain.

Despite the imbalance in military power, analysts say Iran believes it can withstand U.S. pressure by signaling greater resolve — and by betting that Washington’s appetite for war is limitedRead more and see video here.

Immigration Win: Federal Court Sides With Trump Admin on TPS Terminations for Multiple Countries
Joseph Chalfant / Townhall Tipsheet

A federal court has sided with the Trump administration after a lengthy legal battle to end the Temporary Protected Status designation for Nepal, Honduras, and Nicaragua

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem praised the court’s decision to sunset the TPS designations, saying that the policy has been used by Democrats as a de facto amnesty for third-world countries for years.

“Under the previous administration, Temporary Protected Status was abused to allow violent terrorists, criminals, and national security threats into our nation,” Noem said in a statement on social media. “TPS was never designed to be permanent, yet previous administrations have used it as a de facto amnesty program for decades. Given the improved situation in each of these countries, we are wisely concluding what was intended to be a temporary designation.” Read more, see Xs, and ruling here.
