Trump warns Chicago ‘will die’ if lefty Gov. Pritzker refuses federal help after bloody weekend leaves 41 shot

President Trump warned Tuesday that Chicago “will die” if Illinois governor JB Pritzker continues to refuse federal government help to get crime under control – as the lefty pol joined revelers in downing shots for a world record attempt despite a weekend of bloodshed that saw 41 people shot.

Fifteen people were struck in what was Chicago’s largest mass shooting of the year on Saturday, bringing the city’s 2026 gun violence tally to 1,255 victims, which is up by almost one percent on last year.

“Chicago violence is unchecked and at record levels. It has never been worse,” Trump blasted in a fiery Truth Social tirade before warning Chicago faces ominous consequences if trends are not bucked.

“This weekend 41 people were shot, 3 DEAD. These numbers are becoming normalized. It is out of control!

“The city will die if the Federal Government, a fine tuned crime fighting machine, is not invited in, by the Mayor or Governor to HELP. I am awaiting the call.” Read more, and see video here.
