A group of extremists in Brazil has apparently declared loyalty to the Islamic State (Isil) less than three weeks before the country hosts the 2016 Olympics.
A channel called “Ansar al-Khilafah Brazil” on messaging app Telegram pledged allegiance to Isil leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, according to US-based SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors jihadi networks.
