[[[ So it seems that top White House and military advisers...including our great Secretary of State Marco Rubio...have told President Trump that the Iran War could well drag on through the remainder of his term and into 2029, no matter the current economic pressures put on Iran resulting from Trump's "Strait of Hormuz" blockade, which in turn will see gas prices keep rising ("skyrocketing" is the term some of those advisers have used)...causing serious economic concerns here at home.
Simply, what I have been saying and writing about since this war first started back in the summer of 2025...as in Trump's underestimating Iran's military capabilities...can again be witnessed by the fact that Iran backed militias based in Iraq recently initiated a serious drone attack on a key Saudi oil pipeline, thus shutting down the top global oil producer's alternative to using the "Strait of Hormuz,"
Trump’s public assurances of a "swift victor" was in the beginning and still remains a joke especially when you put it into all-important historical perspective. We, the United States of America, was officially involved in WWII for 3 years, 8 months, and 26 days, starting with our declaring war on December 8, 1941, and ending with Japan's formal surrender on September 2, 1945. Our current war with Iran started on February 28, 2026, but here you must add in last summers co-actions with Israel which began on June 13, 2025 and ended on June 24, 2025...the "12-day War" as some call it.
Now when the WWII numbers are added together it means that we were actively fighting for 1,365 days before WWII officially ended. And to date, September 13, 2026, as I write this we have been at physical war with Iran for approximately 6 months, 16 days, plus the 12 days last summer, equaling 209 days of war with Iran. Now when you take into account the above stated possible time frame that the Iran War could possibly last into 2029, the numbers become a whole different matter.
How so? From today September 13, 2026 until January 1, 2029 there are 841 days..or 2 years, 3 months, and 19 days...that is if the war does not continue into that year. Now when you compare those numbers to WWII, if the Iran War does ends on January 1, 2029 we will have been at war with the "single nation" of Iran only 524 days less than the entirety of time we were fighting WWII!
"Houston," we have a serious problem here for if the top White House and military advisers are right about this war not likely to end anytime soon...and if Trump does not start listening to advice given and continues to act basically on his ego driven own...then not only will Iran have won in the PR "Court of Public Opinion," but history could well show Iran being known as "Trump's Folly," or as the day "Israel" thankfully "saved his butt." Just something to think about I'd say. ]]]
