Not Dreaming the Dreamers Dream
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

The fight to protect Dreamers...is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success...If Democrats don’t try to do everything in their power to defend Dreamers, that will jeopardize Democrats’ electoral chances in 2018 and beyond.”
- The Center for American Progress Action Fund

Kudos must go out to President Trump for standing his ground against Chuck Schummer and his merry band of miscreants who proved beyond a shadow of a doubt how much they really despise our beloved America, American citizens, and especially our military.

And if the Democrats forcing the shutdown of our government wasn't bad enough, their reasons for doing so and the ramifications that ensued make the situation even more grievous than it appears on the surface for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schummer tried hard to blackmail Congress...as in we'll give you funding for the wall and a budget passed in exchange for the DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act becoming law....blackmail that failed when within mere days of the shutdown his own party and most of the media rightfully turned against him.

DREAMers over our military being paid backfired on Schummer big time.

And what is saddest of all is that there is a very simple solution regarding the DREAMers...a solution that would expose the Democrats agenda and I'll get to that in a bit, but first some much needed background information to understand exactly the true situation we face minus the media's twisting of the facts.

So let's start with Democrats claiming that their vote to shut the government down was the result of Republicans unwilling to see the value of both the DACA (the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program and the DREAMers* themselves. Regurgitated ad-nauseum their time-worn rhetoric that DREAMers are but innocent victims who came to our country not of their own accord but through the (illegal) actions of their parents, the Democrats chose to play the 'compassion' game...a game they love to play almost as much as they love to pull out the race card when all else fails.

And to that affect, Chuck Schummer and crew wanted us to believe then and still want us to believe now that in the case of said DREAMers the sins of the father (and of the mother) should not be placed upon the children. And so while that is true in some instances, it is surely not true in the case of illegals in general nor is it true in the case of DREAMers in specific for if most DREAMers had really wanted to become red, white, and blue American citizens they would have done so under the auspices of the DACA program, yet save for a few who did not willfully let their DACA status* lapse, most have not.

And why not...because there is no reason to through the effort or expense of becoming an American citizen when one currently gets most all the benefits and protections of said citizenship without having to go through both the detailed and the time consuming process of actually become a citizen.

Now remember, Obama created today's version of DACA in 2012 by executive order...a true unilateral overreach of power...calling it but a “temporary and stopgap measure” to provide “pseudo-legal status” to what even he called “illegal aliens” brought to the U.S. as minors, including as teenagers. Promising that these children would not be deported and providing said DREAMers with needed work authorizations, job benefits including health care, access to Social Security, getting a driver’s license, the chance to build a credit score and apply for a credit card, being allowed to put utility bills in their name, and so much more... what Obama did was make the illegal children of illegal parents defacto citizens when they were anything but citizens.

And the DREAMers reveled in their status...who wouldn't with the free ride afforded them... that is until Donald Trump became president and when in September 2017 now President Trump ordered a phased-out end to Obama's program...a phase-out set to begin this very March...a phase-out of the program he rightfully said shielded DREAMers from deportation through an “amnesty-first” approach.

And these are the very people Chuck Schummer and the Democrats are fighting to give rights to...as they try to put DREAMers supposed rights before the rights of law-abiding American citizens; as they try to put DREAMers supposed rights before both the rights of our men and women in uniform and our veterans; and dare I say as they try to put DREAMers supposed rights even before the words of our Constitution...the very law of our land.

Article I, Section 8, clause 4 of the Constitution entrusts the federal legislative branch with the power to “establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization.” In other words, Congress alone is responsible for “crafting the laws” that determine how and when non-citizens can or cannot become naturalized American citizens. And with Congress having said power coupled with the fact that they have never given any president the ability nor the authority to 'executive order' in immigration law nor given them the specific power to provide a “pseudo-amnesty” and government benefits to illegal aliens no matter their age, means that Obama's DACA program is itself unconstitutional and should be thrown out on legal grounds alone.

And know that President Trump is most assuredly well aware of the constitutional status of DACA, yet he has in the name of bipartisanship and compassion tried to work with Congress to “fix” DACA, but to date to no avail. But with Chuck Schummer and the Democrats holding DACA and DREAMers as leverage over Republicans as to lock in the budget...the budget DACA never had any business being part of...there is a simple “fix” being overlooked that would not only be a win for Republicans and for American citizens but would publicly show the Democrats for who they really are...users, miscreants, and obstructors of justice...in addition to our having $135 billion of our taxpayer dollars being spent on illegals who have absolutely no business being here (illegal=breaking the law) but who Democrats think should go to the head of the immigration line.

Remember, the true issue for Democrats is not now nor has it ever been about compassion for DREAMers, but has always been and remains about votes...securing and garnering votes by any and all means possible, and the DREAMers are now their focused target of choice. And why...because DREAMER votes alone would allow for a much needed so-called “generational shift” that would greatly help negate the current Trump electoral college majority. And garnering votes to the Democrats means that the above stated billions spent on illegals is money well spent for they know well that the now would be citizen DREAMers will always vote for the party that afforded them all their 'free stuff ' including citizenship with its safety from deportation.

So how do Republicans stop this vote garnering from happening while at the same time helping to keep the families together? How do Republicans get the all-important yet long overdue budget passed and at the same time get the funding for the wall all while striving for and hopefully achieving much needed bipartisanship? And how how do Republicans not allow 3.6 million DREAMers (not the 800,000 the Democrats and media claim there are) the ability to determine most future elections? How...simply by passing the Democrat's and RINO's 'Pathway to Citizenship' bill...a 'pathway' bill not now or ever to be amnesty...but a 'pathway' bill with one all-important key provision added...a provision stating that said 'pathway' is minus the right to vote for a minimum of at least five years after each and every DREAMer affected becomes a citizen as well as cutting off all government handouts and benefits while they are in the 'pathway' process.

And with this must have provision in place, Democrats would find it extremely hard to sway or 'fix' the 2018 and 2020 elections...manipulating neither the popular nor the electoral college vote...as they would now be denied the much coveted DREAMer voting numbers by which they would try to do so.

In other words, hold the DREAMers to the exact same rules and steps legal immigrants must adhere to while they are in the process of becoming citizens, but with the addition for those on the 'pathway' that once they become a citizen their right to vote is held in check for at least five years as punishment for breaking our immigration laws. Remember, nowhere in the Constitution does it say "illegal foreigners"...the true name for what DREAMers are...must be afforded voting rights that is until after naturalization...but also nowhere in the Constitution is a time frame given for when said voting rights after naturalization has to occur.

And since citizenship takes years for legal immigrants to attain it should take the same amount of years for those who came here illegally even with giving them said 'pathway'...a 'pathway' which would now legally shield them from deportation, and isn't that what the DREAMers and the Democrats claim they really wanted..safety from deportation. And if that is the truth not just mere words spoken then the penalty of five years to be able to vote should be a mute point with the only exception being for DREAMers who serve in our military as that very act shows their dedication to these United States and to becoming American citizens.

And know that what I proposed is truly fair for after all DREAMers, as I stated earlier, had years to apply for either a green card or citizenship under DACA but did not. And if the Democrats do not agree with no strings or counter demands attached, then the truth about them only wanting the DREAMers votes would finally be exposed for all to see with Democrats now having no rebuttal or recourse at all.

Then once the DREAMers are dealt with and only after the budget is passed should we deal with immigration in general...with in general includes getting the must have wall funded and built, dismantling sanctuary cities and states by cutting off all their federal funding...letting them go broke if need be...and by enforcing any and all immigration laws currently on the books.

The time to stop placating, compromising with, or outright caving to the enemy...the Democrat enemy within...is over as we finally have a president with enough guts and determination to stand strong against said enemy. Now if only President Trump can get a united Republican House and Senate on board to help him kick the enemy within...along with their illegal cohorts...to the curb where they truly belong...if only...sigh.

Clearing Up the Pathway Debate
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on americanpbn.com/

The Republican candidates have discussed many issues during this ongoing primary season but none has been more contentious than the issue of immigration. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are at each others throats over who supported and didn't support what; Donald Trump talks about Mexico footing the bill for the very wall that will 'supposedly' keep Mexicans out of our country; and Jeb Bush (who recently dropped out of the race) said that those coming here illegally are doing so out of an act of love. But nothing is more contentious than the two pathways we hear so much about...one a 'Pathway to Citizenship' and the other a 'Pathway to Legal Status.'

A 'Pathway to Citizenship' whether some like it or not is a vastly different animal than a 'Pathway to Legal Status'...and both are different than what came to be known as 'blanket amnesty.' So now it's time for some truth, and let's start with 'blanket amnesty' and get that out of the way as no candidate running is now or has ever been for 'blanket amnesty.' And that includes Florida Senator Marco Rubio who constantly comes up against naysayers for his being part of the bi-partisan group known as the Gang of Eight...the very group who wrote the first draft of the 'Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013'...commonly called 'Comprehensive Immigration Reform' (CIR)...the very bill many erroneously believe would grant immediate amnesty to 11+ million people who crossed our borders illegally, but nothing could be further from the truth.

The Gang of Eight...four Democrat and four Republican senators*... had good intentions no matter what some say as they at least tried to 'fix' a system that was and still is broken...broken beyond merely saying that enforcing the laws currently on the books will fix it. The CIR bill as proposed basically called for citizenship for illegal aliens already in the U.S. contingent upon certain border security and visa tracking improvements; called for reducing current visa backlogs and fast tracking permanent residence for U.S. university immigrant graduates; wanted to expand and improve our current employment verification system; as well as wanting to improve work visa options for low-skilled workers.

And the truth is that Marco Rubio was indeed part of the Gang of Eight, but while the Democrats in the 'gang' wanted to grant all the illegals access to citizenship (hence the term 'blanket amnesty'), Rubio wanted the illegals...or what the politically correct love to call 'undocumented immigrants'...to have lived in the U.S. for five years with no arrests during that time period in order to be eligible. However, when Rubio saw that our border was not going to sealed first before any reform of our immigration laws took place...a touch point he insisted upon...he did the right thing and voted against the very bill he helped to co-author. And whether some like it or not that took courage to go against the very men he had worked so hard and so long with.

And into this discourse came Ted Cruz, who while slamming Rubio for his part in the Gang of Eight, must also take responsibility for his part in it as he proposed an amendment to the CIR bill that would have set in place a path to citizenship for those currently in this country illegally. And Cruz’s amendment would have left in place the bill’s provisions providing legal status for those here illegally. And while Ted Cruz is now making excuses for what he did, and is saying that the words spoken are not what he meant, the fact is he did what he did and said what he said...just like Rubio was part of the Gang of Eight.

But let me insert a word of recommendation here to both men...stop attacking each other! Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz have more similarities in policy than they do differences (and to see those similarities please refer to my Right Side Patriots partner and friend Craig Andresen's article at http://www.thenationalpatriot.com/2016/0...), and they need to focus their combined strength and political savvy to knock Trump out of the race. This always should have been a two man race not a media generated anointment of a Democrat now dressed in Republican clothing. And by the way...neither man supports 'blanket amnesty' nor amnesty...period.

Now as to the prime differences between a 'Pathway to Citizenship' and a 'Pathway to Legal Status'...which is what presidential candidate Marco Rubio is proposing. First, it must be understood that no matter what bloviator Donald Trump wants, 11+ million people will not be deported as the courts will (rightfully) never allow it. Second, the border must be sealed before any legal status is given to anyone; and third, it must be understood that the critical and all-important difference between citizenship and legal status is that only citizens can vote and serve on juries....legal residents cannot and will never be able to. In other words, no matter how many now illegals would eventually become legal residents...and know that they will no matter how and when the current laws are amended...their gaining legal status as residents in no way would give them the right to vote in any U.S. election nor does it give the Democratic voting rolls a boost simply because residents are not citizens.

And gaining citizenship would be no easy task in what Marco Rubio is proposing as the currently illegal person who would gain only legal resident status would have to wait a minimum of 10+ years before even beginning the process to apply for citizenship...as opposed to the current five year wait...coupled with their having to show good moral character; that they can speak, read, and write English; hold a job; and have committed no criminal offense. With that it must also be understood that granting legal resident status under the Rubio proposal will not give the illegal petitioner 'probationary legal status' during the time it would take to pass background checks...all they would get is a work permit...and most importantly they will under no conditions receive any federal benefits, and must pay a hefty fine for coming here illegally.

Also, remember that while under the existing law if you are illegally in the U.S. you are not prohibited from getting citizenship, you just have to go back to your home country to wait out the mandatory five years. Under Rubio's proposal if you want to stay here, you have to wait the 10+ years, and you have to be holding down a job during that time...meaning it would be cheaper, faster, and easier for them to just go back to their home countries to wait out the now 10+years than it will be to go through this long drawn out process. And people...that in no way is amnesty no matter what the naysayers claim.

And legal resident status as proposed by Rubio simply means that someone granted said resident status has the right to live and work in this country legally, and that they must pay any and all taxes as required by law as they do so. But most importantly, Rubio's 'Pathway to Legal Status' changes the current U.S. policy of legal resident's being able to petition for immediate family members to come here and receive permanent residence, which is a family-based system, changing it to a skills-based/merit-based system...in other words based upon the skills the petitioner has, what they can contribute to our economy, and most important of all, it helps to determine whether or not someone is coming here to become an American not just live in America, but to be an American.

A 'Pathway to Legal Status' is the right thing to do and most will realize that when they separate the anger from the realities that most here illegally...and I do know that their coming here illegally is a crime in and of itself...have become hard workers and just want to live their lives in this, the greatest nation the world has ever known. The fault of what we currently are facing is the sole property of the Obama administration not only because they do not enforce our current immigration laws, but also for their allowing illegal felons to get out of jail and meld back into the populace instead of deporting them all...with many now returning to commit more crimes, including murder, because Obama adamantly refuses to seal the border and allows for 'sanctuary cities' to continue to exist.

Also, we must accept the fact that part of the problems we currently face in regards to the illegal issue is because of partisan gridlock... gridlock which has prevented Congress from overhauling the immigration system, and like I said at the beginning of this article, simply enforcing the current laws won't to do it. And sadly what many refuse to see is that by doing common sense reform...as in a 'Pathway to Legal Status'...would bring the majority of hard-working illegals (those who do the jobs most Americans won't do) off the economic sidelines, and would according to many economists bring $1.5 trillion to the nation’s cumulative GDP over 10 years, and add close to $5 billion in additional tax revenue in just the next three years, amongst other positive things. That is a big plus.

And if background checks are done on all the illegals currently residing in our country before they gain legal resident status...and don't think for a minute that this administration doesn't know who they are or where they are...will then allow authorities to focus enforcement resources on the criminal elements and security threats and send them packing. And a 'Pathway to Legal Status' would expose unscrupulous employers who help bring illegals here and would allow them to be shut down.

But the bottom line remains that no matter the anger Trump has stirred up by his trying to lump all illegals into one pot, the fact is that 11+ million people will not be deported and the Trumpers best get over it. So isn't it better to do what benefits our country and especially our economy, and try to solve this issue with clear heads, and tangible and workable policies...I believe it is. And I surely hope that the next crop of primary voters realize just that and vote responsibly instead out of Trump initiated misplaced anger...anger that should be focused on Obama, Hillary, and the Democrats...which if one pays attention Trump doesn't do...as our country's very survival depends on the voters hopefully doing just that.

Op-ed:
Marco Rubio...A New American Century
By: Diane Sori* / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots / cprworldwidemedia.net

Well it seems the Republican field is narrowing down one by one...first Scott Walker dropped out, then Rick Perry, and now Bobby Jindal has left the race. Three good men gone. And while others remain...for now anyway...some serious whittling down of candidates needs to happen...for example, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum need to go as they just don't get that America is not nor will it ever be a theocracy. George Pataki and Lindsay Graham have no chance whatsoever of getting the nomination. Rand Paul is a joke just like his father was and that picture of Chris Christie embracing Obama is forever ingrained in our collective minds. Jeb Bush needs to save face and drop out now because every time he opens his mouth his foot goes in it. And John Kasich thinks he's smarter than anyone else running so bye-bye Kasich.

As for Donald Trump and Dr. Ben Carson...Dr. Carson would make a great Surgeon General or head of HHS but his meek and mild demeanor is not what America needs right now, and besides one good speech at the National Prayer Breakfast does not a president make nor does becoming a Republican a mere six months before announcing your run cut it. As for Donald Trump...having just gone through almost seven years of a narcissistic blowhard with no substance behind him, we do not need four more years of the same. Plus flipping one's party affiliation time and time again just shows that changing your voting designation also does not a Republican nor a Conservative make...especially when you need Billy-Boy's permission to run against his wife.

Now we're down to three...Carly Fiorina, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio. While Fiorina is one smart cookie, a great debater, and knows the business end of things, the problem is that in today's day and age of islamic terrorism that is simply not enough. As for Ted Cruz, the man who seems to have forged an alliance of sorts with Donald Trump, which might play well for now but when push comes to shove people will see that Cruz aligned himself with a showman who spews the right words but has no tangible policies to back-up those words...and that will not bode well for Ted Cruz as it's a bad judgement call that he will be forced to answer for.

That leaves the last man standing, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, a six-year member of the Foreign Relations Committee who unlike all the rest truly understands that in this day and age of ever-expanding islamic terrorism that foreign policy...coupled with standing strong with our allies...must be the prime focus of this election. And why...because if we do not get foreign policy issues right...if we do not keep the enemy 'over there' nothing else will matter...not the economy...not jobs...not a fence that will not keep them out anyway...nothing.

Marco Rubio is an American success story...a true 'working class' success story living the American dream, and is a man who is truly grateful for all that America has given to him. And now that man...a man both proud and humbled... wants to give back to the country he holds dear to his heart. And when you couple that with the fact that he truly cares about 'We the People's' concerns, issues, and problems, it becomes more than a bit obvious that Marco Rubio alone is the man to counter and win against Hillary's story...a story wrapped up in dirty deals, lies, deceit, and cover-ups, key amongst them being Benghazi. Marco Rubio is the future and Hillary Clinton is the past...a past our beloved America sorely needs to leave behind.

America needs a fighter...a man who can stand-up to criticism...a man who can put America's 'enemies within' in their place, and to that affect Marco Rubio is the only one of the candidates to call Hillary what she truly is...a liar...and he did so on national television for all to hear. Remember Rubio's words at the last debate when he said, “Last week, Hillary Clinton went before a committee”... “She admitted she had sent e-mails to her family saying, “Hey, this attack at Benghazi was caused by al-Qaeda-like elements.” “She spent over a week telling the families of those victims and the American people that it was because of a video. And yet the mainstream media is going around saying it was the greatest week in Hillary Clinton’s campaign. It was the week she got exposed as a liar.” Those are fighting words...words of a man not afraid to speak the truth, and after all these years of Democratic lies a fighter is what America needs and Marco Rubio fits that to a tee.

But before anything else, let's set the record straight on Marco Rubio's stance on Immigration Reform...simply put if it wasn't for Marco Rubio being in the so-called 'Gang of Eight' we would now be living under the McCain/Graham Amnesty Bill for it was Rubio, whose very presence threw a wrench into that proposed bill when he insisted on securing the borders first before any reform takes place.

“The only way we're going to ever make progress on this issue is to first deal with illegal immigration, secure the border, win people's confidence that in a reality this problem is under control,” Rubio said, and securing the border was not part of the McCain/Grahm Bill at all. Marco Rubio is vehemently against amnesty for 'illegals' and is for a type of 'Pathway to Citizenship'...as was our beloved Ronald Reagan...because he understands that America...aside from the felons...will not deport 22 million people which both Trump and Cruz call for...nor will we be breaking up families or sending so-called 'anchor babies' back to the countries of their parent's birth...countries they know nothing about. Rubio is rightfully for enforcing the laws currently on the books and moving outward from there, but before anything else Marco Rubio is for sealing the borders...something he has always been for.

Another touch-point of this upcoming election being pushed by the Democrats is student debt, and to that affect Marco Rubio understands the obstacles faced by many who want to go to college but who cannot afford to. Having faced this obstacle himself, Rubio has proposed a number of workable and very doable proposals aimed at reducing the cost of college and graduate school. However, unlike Hillary's 'free-for-all' college for everybody proposal...a proposal actually paid for with our hard-earned taxpayer dollars...one of Rubio's proposals calls for private investment groups to pay for tuition in exchange for a percentage of future earnings. And while this proposal would not replace federally subsidized student loans, it would provide students with an alternative to not having to pay off large sums of monies borrowed to get a quality college education...debt that takes years if NOT decades to pay off.

However, foreign policy must be the key issue in this election because of the global killing machine known islamic terrorism. And no candidate is better prepared and qualified to deal with America's enemies abroad than is Marco Rubio, an integral member of the 'Foreign Relations Committee' for six-plus years now, meaning Rubio knows well the enemy we fight and he proudly stands up for those who fought that fight when they come home. In fact, Rubio stood by our veterans when then Democratic VA Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders tried to stop his efforts to put veterans needs before the needs of unions and Washington bureaucrats. Playing a key role in passing legislation to overhaul the VA, Rubio was asked to be part of the Senate's 'Veterans Affairs Conference Committee' because of his work in sponsoring the 'VA Management Accountability Act of 2014', which was passed overwhelmingly by the House, and included in it his proposal to allow the VA Secretary to fire incompetent bureaucrats...something that was long overdue.

And tied directly into foreign policy is national security for in today's world where ISIS continues to run amok, what happens 'over there' affects what happens here in America. And Marco Rubio has proven himself to be a true champion of 'We the People' in ways that help protect the 'health, safety, and welfare' of we American citizens, and in doing so exhibits the strength needed for presidential leadership. Case in point...you simply cannot cutback intelligence gathering programs nor can you side with Harry Reid and the Democrats whose policies counter American security issues, and that is exactly what Ted Cruz did when he surprised many by voting in favor of the 'USA Freedom Act'...the bi-partisan reform version of the 'Patriot Act...the very act that George W. Bush put in place after 9/11 that, to-date, has for the most part kept us safe at home.

And in saying that the bill weakened "U.S. national security by outlawing the very programs our intelligence community and the FBI have used to protect us time and time again," Rubio rightfully voted against the 'USA Freedom Act' because it failed to both follow through with the 'Patriot Act' and preserve existing National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance authorities that many Democrats and libertarian-leaning Republicans...like Rand Paul...erroneously believe are too “all-encompassing.”

But even with the 'USA Freedom Act' somewhat increasing privacy and oversight by creating an 'advocate' for the public, it requires the NSA to give specifics as to why surveillance is needed on a particular individual. But with the nightmare in Paris leaving over 130 dead and over 300 wounded, the 'USA Freedom Act' as Rubio said, “actually leaves America more vulnerable to attack” because it “will cost us the ability to gather actionable intelligence against elements operating in our territory.” In other words, by the time all the paperwork is done to allow said surveillance, that individual could have already carried out the very deed that could have been prevented if the NSA did not have to jump through the multitude of legal hoops this act now requires.

So one has to wonder why Ted Cruz, a man who holds a centrist position on surveillance, would restrict intelligence gathering by supporting a bill that Obama wanted...a 'red flag' if there ever was one. And while Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio do share similar views and positions on certain issues such as the farce known as Climate Change, Common Core, and ObamaCare, it's now obvious that they do part ways when it comes to the all-important foreign policy and national security issues...issues critical to the 'health, safety, and welfare' of 'We the People.'

And with Ted Cruz saying that the 'USA Freedom Act' struck "the right balance between protecting our privacy rights and our national security interests" you can see that Cruz does not understand that when islamic terrorism is spreading worldwide, the right balance is to have America's national security interests paramount above everything else. And Cruz's statement is but one reason why Marco Rubio is more electable than Ted Cruz...his only true opponent for the Republican nomination. And with Rubio being a pragmatist who sees the individual pieces of the puzzle fitting together to form the 'big picture', against Cruz being an ideologue who focuses on single pieces of the puzzle instead of the whole, it becomes obvious that Marco Rubio is the only one who can actually win against Hillary...or any other Democrat (as in Julian Castro) that might be put into the mix after the F.B.I. hopefully hauls her off to jail. And why is that...because Marco Rubio is seen across the board as being both honest and trustworthy by a majority of voters, while Hillary is seen as being both dishonest and untrustworthy even by most voters in her own party...and rightly so.

Remember, it's time we turn the reigns of power...the reins of government...over to the next generation of leaders, especially leaders like Marco Rubio who are grounded in conservative principals, values, and ideals. And Rubio is well received by both millennials and women voters, and with polls continuously showing him beating Hillary in key swing states like Iowa, Colorado, Virginia, and Florida in the general election, and now when you add in that according to the latest FOX News poll Rubio beats Hillary in a head-to-head race by 50% to her 42%...with no other candidate coming close to those numbers...you can see that Marco Rubio is the man Hillary and her machine fear most for he has something that is truly appealing...something Hillary does not have...and that is humility.

And with the 2016 election being about numbers...'specific' numbers...the only candidate who can pull in those needed 'specific' numbers is Marco Rubio and here's why...in the general election no candidate can win unless they carry the Hispanic vote...and in that vein they must be able to converse with this important segment of the voting block in their own language. In fact, Latino Decisions, specialists in Latino public opinion research, said that if the 2016 white vote is 59%, Republicans would need between 40% to 47% of the Hispanic vote to reach a majority...and a man NOT fluent in Spanish would not likely reach that critical must-get number. Remember, in 2012, Mitt Romney who did NOT speak Spanish only won about 27% of the Hispanic vote, but in 2004, George W. Bush who did speak Spanish won over 44% of the Hispanic vote. And the study also found that Republicans still need between 40% to 47% to win those majorities in the key states of Colorado, Florida, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, and Virginia...and Ted Cruz is simply not fluent in Spanish.

And lets not forget that someone who is fluent in Spanish stands a much better chance of bringing the Hispanic vote permanently over to the Republican party, because in Marco Rubio they see someone who understands their culture and their American dream.

And while Texas will go 'red' no matter who becomes the Republican nominee, this means Cruz brings nothing to the Electoral College numbers. But with the key swing state of Florida being determined by which candidate gets the Hispanic vote, and with Hispanics making up 27% of the state's electorate, along with an estimated 800,000 Hispanics turning 18 each year, Marco Rubio really is the only candidate that could bring in that needed 40+% number and turn Florida back to red, and it's because of his middle class background and his ability to identify with and speak directly to that critical segment of the population.

But the bottom lines remains that Marco Rubio...young, dynamic, focused, and ever positive...is the best candidate to represent America's future as we move ever forward into 'A New American Century'.

Op-ed:
Immigration Bill passes the Senate...and Rubio's presidential hopes come to an end
By: Diane Sori

“Shouldn’t we give them the same chance that we’ve given wave after wave of immigrants?” said Senator John McCain after today’s Senate vote on Immigration Reform.

In a word, 'NO'...and NOT because of who they are but because of how they came here...ILLEGALLY. And the word 'ILLEGAL' itself means 'criminal'...as in breaking the law.

But apparently to some that doesn't matter as yesterday, in a vote of 68 to 32 (with 14 Republicans joining ALL the Democrats) the Senate passed the 'Gang of 8's' Immigration Reform Bill. While it will have ILLEGALS dancing in the streets, unfortunately, and it hurts me so to say this, it has signaled Marco Rubio's presidential death knell...the man who most likely would have gotten the Republican nomination in 2016 is now finished.

While I still honor and respect Rubio for the simple reason that his heart was in the right place, he went against the wishes of the party majority and his own constituents by aligning himself with RINOS extraordinaire...John McCain and Lindsey Graham. And the party hierarchy and 'We the People' will NOT forget this.

Rubio could have voted NO in the end for the bill passed in the Senate is NOT the bill he originally wrote. His original was bastardized by his new found RINO buddies, and yet he sided with them and for what, as the ILLEGALS will NOT vote Republican even with this...they will still vote Democratic for the freebies and handouts. Rubio had an out with this simple fact if none other, and yet he did NOT take it, and to make this worse he knows damn well that before any talks go forward or legislation implemented our borders MUST be sealed...NO ifs, ands, or buts.

In his heart Rubio knows that very well and in his heart he knows he's done...and for what...for criminals who knowingly and willingly broke our laws to get here...for criminals who have taken jobs away from LEGAL Americans...for criminals who have raped our healthcare and welfare systems...for criminals who with this bill will in the end be rewarded for their criminal act instead of being punished for it.

And while I wholeheartedly believe that the Republicans need to control the immigration issue...as in better we control it than the Democrats control it...controlling it means sealing and locking down the borders BEFORE anything else is done...as in a bit of isolationism before we move forward with this issue at all.

Locking down and sealing the borders...if Israel can successfully do it so can we.

But I am smart enough to know that this issue does need to be addressed for we will NOT be rounding up 11+ million people and shipping them back to their home countries...although many wish we would...but that is a reality that simply will NOT happen.

And so one by one the Senators voted from their desks, called out 'yea ' or 'nay' as Vice President Joe 'Bite Me' Biden presided in his constitutional capacity as head of the Senate. But, thankfully, the bill still faces an uphill battle in the House where in this Senate form, it's likely to fail...as it should.

And while Republicans in the House are divided over then immigration issue, especially after the GOP's major loss among Hispanics in the 2012 election, many top Republicans have come to realize that some form of a so-called 'pathway to citizenship' for the 11+ million ILLEGALS...'undocumented residents' in political correctness speak...is a must. But still the votes in the House aren't there for this Senate bill because for most Republicans sealing the borders first is paramount to any bill being passed in the House at all, and the Senate bill does NOT meet that requirement as it skirts the issue, if even that.

Besides, the House is working on its own immigration reform bill. In fact, House Speaker John Boehner said the House will NOT even vote on this Senate bill. Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Boehner said a bi-partisan coalition to get to 235 votes is not enough...that an immigration bill has to have the support of the majority of the GOP House members.

“Apparently, some haven’t gotten the message. The House is not going to take up and vote on whatever the Senate passes. We’re going to do our own bill through regular order, and it’ll be legislation that reflects the will of our majority and the will of the American people. And for any legislation, including a conference report, to pass the House, it’s going to have to be a bill that has the support of the majority of our members.”

Now lets see if Boehner has the courage to follow through with the pretty words he spoke.

But what say our traitor-in chief to the Senate bill's passing...in a White House statement, Obama hailed the Senate vote as "a critical step" toward fixing what he called a broken immigration system, saying the bill was a compromise, adding that "we just need Congress to finish the job."

'Finish the job' to Barack HUSSEIN Obama means making sure those 11+ million become loyal Democratic voters...'finish' the job means the American melting pot of assimilation will be NO more as America will become a nation of 'them' vs 'us'...'finish the job' means if by some chance this horror of a bill passes the House our beloved America will sadly become unrecognizable to us LEGAL Americans thanks to the leftist agenda of the man the media 'anointed' as our savior...as this bill adds another nail in America's coffin.

But for me the biggest disappointment in today's vote...the one that personally hurts the most is that Marco Rubio, who I worked so hard for when he ran for Senator, has NOT only let me down but let down his party, his constituents, and his country...oh what could have been...

Op-ed:
Our borders must be secured before any immigration reform can happen
By: Diane Sori

Turkey is on fire…shades of Egypt to be sure but you know what…I’m sick of these muslim savages dominating the news. I know they won’t do it but the media should ignore them, and maybe then with NO audience to play to they’ll just go away. We have major issues in our own country right now that are a hell of a lot more important than giving airtime to riots by ‘the uncivilized man’ (thank you Pamela Geller) for right here, right now we have scandals galore, and adding into the now ever-growing scandal mix is the battle over immigration reform.

Immigration reform is really quite easy and is actually NO reform at all…just enforce the laws already on the books…it’s that simple. But sadly for whatever reason that does NOT seem to be an option. And if it was up to me, seriously, I would round up all ILLEGALS and ship them back to their home countries for the very word ILLEGAL means they’ve broken our laws…they’re criminals…by NOT following the rules we already have in place for those wanting to come to this country.

But that will NOT happen…it’s just a pipe dream of mine…a pipe dream of many I’m sure.

And if on key to deflect more attention away from all the scandals, yesterday the Senate passed, 82 to 15, a procedural vote to begin debate on the bipartisan ‘Gang of Eight’ immigration reform bill…a bill that if enacted would create a 13-year pathway to citizenship for 11+ million ‘undocumented’ (the ‘politically correct’ bleeding heart liberal word of choice)…ILLEGAL…aliens.

But, in my opinion, NO bill should be passed or even discussed before a bill is passed that SECURES our borders…ALL our borders…because if we don’t stop the influx of those crossing our borders ILLEGALLY NO bill we pass putting them on a path to citizenship will stop new people from coming here…ILLEGALLY of course.

And while the bill that will now be debated does try to strengthen border security it falls way short of what’s really needed because strengthening border security is NOT the issue that needs addressing…SECURING the borders is…and the two are vastly different animals. Strengthening existing border security is quite the joke for how do you strengthen something that in its current form simply just does NOT work in the first place, while SECURING the borders means locking down our borders…as in NO one crosses our borders without our permission…and that is something that will work and can be done if we’re serious about doing it.

And SECURING our borders is what needs to be done BEFORE any discussions can begin with Hispanic Americans, or with anybody for that matter, about those living ILLEGALLY in this country.

And only after SECURING our borders can the ‘givens’ be put in place…’givens’ like passing background checks, learning English, paying back taxes along with a penalty, deporting ILLEGAL documented criminals, and going to the back of the line behind all those who came here legally.

And only after SECURING our borders can a convincing case be made for Republicans controlling the immigration issue…and control it they must because we sure don’t want the liberal Democrats controlling it for all they will do is open the floodgates to even more immigration…immigration garnered for votes and votes alone.

And truth be told but the fact is that eventually immigration reform will happen whether we like it or NOT. Thankfully there’s still a glimmer of hope that a guaranteed SECURING of our borders will be happen because some Republicans who voted for yesterday’s initial procedural measure say they will NOT support the final product when it comes up for vote unless amendments are added to strengthen the legislation’s requirements to SECURE our nation’s borders…and this means in NO uncertain terms...NO SECURING OUR BORDERS...NO IMMIGRATION REFORM.

And as Barack HUSSEIN Obama and his administration continue to be way too anxious to secure third world country’s borders they are more than willing to leave our borders exposed…and that is something ‘We the People’ will NO longer abide.
