Just a Thought

The thought below is my (Diane Sori), thought  alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com

[[[ And so some still wonder about the '"FlyDubi" co-pilot's loyalties even after passengers reported they heard shouts of "allahu akbar" while the attempted hijacking was taking place...even after the wounded pilot (and hero) attested that the co-pilot did appear to be radicalized...even after we find out 4 Americans were also on the flight...even after the UAE's president's diplomatic advisor Anwar Gargash stated that the recent attempted hijacking of a FlyDubi flight to Tel Aviv was a "dangerous terrorist act"...even after Israel's El Al airline was forced to cancel rescue flights to Dubai to pick up now stranded Israelis and Americans after authorities revoked needed landing permissions. And still worse is the fact that even after all this is proven to be irrevocably true, the Jew haters and pro-Palestinian supporters here in our country will still try to blame these happenings on Israel and the Jews, and be very vocal about it.

And the sad reality (even while 2+2 still=4) is that this very mindset has now started to be seen on a number of social media sites. Oh what a "bizarro" world we now live in...a world where "indoctrinated hate" has cancelled out both common sense and logical thinking...how sad and maddening is that. ]]]

Trump says he regrets nominating Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett
Julia Manchester / THE HILL

President Trump revealed in an interview published Thursday that he regrets nominating conservative Justices Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

“Yeah. Yeah. What can I do? I put them in,” Trump told Time magazine when asked whether he regretted nominating the three justices to the high court. “They voted against me too often,” the president continued. “I gave them the position of a lifetime, and they vote against me often. They vote for me too.”

Trump went on to note how Democrats “stick like glue” when they vote, saying he admires the party’s loyalty to their leaders.

“So they have loyalty to Barack Hussein Obama. They have loyalty to Biden, even though Biden doesn’t even know who the hell they are. He wouldn’t know. He doesn’t even know what the Supreme Court is. And me, I gave them the chance of a lifetime, and it’s unfortunate what they did,” he said.

When asked if he wants loyalty from his Supreme Court picks, Trump said he wants “good decisions.”

Flydubai saga captures Israel’s role in a new Middle East - and its old limits
DIPLOMATIC AFFAIRS: From Netanyahu’s UAE visit to the emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, a dramatic week reveals the possibilities and limits of regional cooperation.
Herb Keinon / JERUSALEM POST

Wednesday’s flydubai saga crammed the new Middle East into a single aircraft.

An Emirati airline carrying Israelis made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia amid war with Iran – and the incident was immediately drawn into an Israeli election campaign dominated by the question of who can keep the country safe.

Talk about one event bringing everything together.

Israelis were flying home on an Emirati airline. When their flight turned into a nightmare, they landed in Saudi Arabia, received medical attention and assistance, and were eventually collected by another Emirati aircraft and brought to Israel.

For all the tensions, wars, and political sensitivities, that sequence is worth noting. The absence of Saudi-Israeli diplomatic relations did not prevent the passengers from receiving help or getting home. Read more, and see photos here.
