Manchin: So, it Looks Like the Tax Bill I Voted Against Will -- Um -- Help A Lot of West Virginians

Manchin: So, it Looks Like the Tax Bill I Voted Against Will -- Um -- Help A Lot of West VirginiansOf course it will, Joe.  More than 80 percent of Americans will get a tax cut next year under the new law, with nearly as many taxpayers enjoying relief through at least 2026 (and very likely beyond).  Of the plan's tiny handful of 'losers' (less than five percent), most are high-income earners living in high-tax states who itemize their deductions -- as opposed to taking the now-doubled standard deduction, as 70 percent of filers currently do (a number that will grow).  It...doesn't sound like many West Virginians fit that profile.  Manchin knew all of this, of course, but he voted with Chuck Schumer anyway, just as he's refused to help Republican Senators confirm a number of highly qualified judges nominated by President Trump.  Confronted with his tax reform vote on local radio, Manchin struggled to defend his decision:

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., on Wednesday struggled to explain his opposition to the Republican tax overhaul, conceding in a local radio interview that it contains “some good things” that could benefit his state. “There’s some good in this bill. I acknowledge that,” Manchin said, when West Virginia radio talk show host Hoppy Kercheval asked the senator why he opposed legislation that will benefit the “vast majority” of taxpayers and businesses in the state.

H.R. McMaster: Jihad terrorists are “irreligious”
By Robert Spencer / Jihad Watch

Denial or willful ignorance? Why hasn’t this deluded clown been fired yet? Why was he hired in the first place? “H.R. McMaster Does It Again: Calls Islamic Terrorism ‘Irreligious,’” by Aaron Klein, Breitbart, December 20, 2017: NEW YORK — H.R. McMaster, President Trump’s embattled national security adviser, has once again minimized the religious motivations of […]

How Israel continues to defy the United Nations
By Kram / GELLER REPORT
https://pamelageller.com/2017/12/israel-continues-defy-united-nations.html/

In light of another shameful and empty attack on Israel by the UN, one would think that the tiny Jewish state is, and will remain, perpetually isolated. The left-leaning and biased media will continue to report the false narrative about Israel’s increased isolation. Israel is heading toward apartheid they will say, and will in due time be regarded as a pariah state.

What the media does not say is how successful Israel has been in defying the anti-Semitic UN, which receives over 30 percent of its budget from the anti-Israel “Organization of Islamic Cooperation.” On the contrary, Israel has never been more embraced, more popular, and more valuable to so many countries across the world. In fact, outside of the UN, the “Palestinian” cause and the BDS movement has been a total flop.

One would ask how Israel has been so successful, despite receiving more condemnations from the UN than any other country combined. Yes, there are more resolutions against Israel at the UN than Iran, Syria, North Korea, Venezuela, Nigeria, and Somalia combined. The UN has been a hostile place for Israel, practically since its reestablishment. As Israel’s late Minister of Foreign Affairs Abba Eben said, “If Algeria introduced a resolution declaring that the earth was flat and that Israel had flattened it, it would pass by a vote of 164 to 13 with 26 abstentions.” So how does Israel continue to thrive, despite such consistent condemnation in the world’s leading international forum? The answer is simple. Technology.

EU begins “nuclear option” proceedings against Poland for resisting the hijrah, sanctions could follow
By Christine Douglass-Williams / Jihad Watch

In an alarming move, the EU “has triggered Article 7 against Poland” — known as the “nuclear option” — accusing it of violating “democratic values with proposed judiciary reform.” The next step could mean some type of sanctions. The Vice Chairman of the European Commission, Frans Timmermans, mysteriously tweeted: It is with a heavy heart […]

U.N. Votes Against US Decision On Jerusalem, Terrorist Group Hamas Thanks U.N. for Anti-Jewish Vote
Unlike previous Presidents, when President Trump says he will do something, count on it. I am proud of a President who stands up for us and our values. It’s my money, your money that goes to fund these savages who make a mockery of our compassion and humanity. Enough.

Ambassador Nikki Haley talked tough talk during United Nations remarks before a resolution vote that would condemn President Trump’s Jerusalem decision. “We will remember when so many countries come calling on us.”

The U.N. General Assembly voted 128-9 with 35 abstentions in favor of the resolution, a much smaller margin than the Palestinians hoped for, thanks to President Trump. And it’s way more than those nine, because if you look at the chart there are a number of countries that neither voted for, against, or abstained. They chose both do nothing. That is quiet support for us.

Clearly the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, a caliphate-inspired Muslim world body that votes as ONE, was a given. There was never any doubt that the 56 Jew-hating Muslim nations (plus the “Palestinian Authority”) would vote against the Jews. The other 71 are vassal states, those already conquered by the jihad force, such as Germany, France, UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway — terrified of their Muslim populations (the Arab street in Europe.) Of course, the South American countries such as Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil and Chile would vote against the Jews; those countries were havens for Nazi war criminals after the Holocaust. This is not surprising. Much of the world sided with Hitler, too, until he started to lose, that is.
