Just a Thought

The thought below is my thought alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com
[[[ As EU leaders are again rallying around Ukraine's President Zelensky...and rightly so...after Trump called Ukraine's retaliatory strikes on Russian refineries a "disgrace"...never mind the fact that Russia has deliberately been targeting Ukraine's civilian population areas and major cities for years...never mind the fact that recent Russian attacks on Ukraine have left thousands of Ukrainians without power as winter approaches.

But what upsets Trump the most is that Ukraine's rightful retaliatory response now is upsetting the recent "diesel deal" he made with his buddy Putin while at the same time claiming that the strikes by Ukraine are pushing up energy prices both here at home and elsewhere, and could well cost 'HIM' at the ballot box.

I didn't know that Trump's name would be on the midterm ballot ...and I say that both jokingly and facetiously. But seriously, I will say once again that Trump has proven that most times he speaks without thinking about the ramifications his foolishly spoken words could cause, ]]]

Trump says US 'may have to' strike Iran's Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site in future
Emma Bussey / Fox News

President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States is evaluating Iran's heavily fortified Pickaxe Mountain nuclear complex as a potential target for future military action, stating, "We may have to go there... We'll knock it out fast" in a Thursday interview. Trump ruled out the use of nuclear weapons or the deployment of U.S. ground troops, but left the door open for conventional air strikes. The comments follow recent reports that the Pentagon has drawn up options involving massive conventional ordnance against Iranian infrastructure, even as Trump expressed optimism that ongoing back-and-forth tensions and negotiations could bring a swift end to the conflict.

WHAT TO KNOW
  • President Donald Trump ruled out using nuclear weapons in Iran, but floated the possibility of using a Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb, also known as a MOAB, against the Islamic Republic.

  • Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps struck a Singapore-flagged civilian vessel in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, leading to the ship's sinking, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported Thursday. See LIVE UPDATES here.

Fort Hood survivors praise Trump for scrapping Hasan execution livestream: ‘We’re not barbaric’
Victims warned a broadcast could become a propaganda tool for terrorist groups like al-Qaeda and ISIS
Fox News

Survivors of the 2009 Fort Hood massacre praised President Donald Trump's decision not to livestream the execution of Nidal Hasan, after warning that broadcasting his death could turn the execution into a spectacle and hand terrorist groups a propaganda tool.

Hasan is still set to be executed by firing squad on Dec. 3, 2026, and Trump said the immediate families of his victims will be permitted to witness the execution in person. But it will no longer be broadcast to the general public as previously announced by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

Alonzo Lunsford, who was shot seven times by Hasan during the attack nearly 17 years ago, told Fox News Digital that Trump's decision is a "positive move."

"It proves that we are a better people, a better nation, and that we're not barbaric," Lunsford said in immediate reaction to the walk-back by Trump on Thursday. "We don't glorify such actions." Read more, see videos and photos here.
