A Race For The Independent Vote

Let me lay my cards on the table upfront and say that this November's election is about whether or not our beloved America can survive four more years with yet another of Obama's puppets at the helm of America's ship...but personally I don't think we can. And why...because the last thing our country needs is but a continuation of the very policies that have economically, socially, and morally destroyed the very fabric of our great republic. Simply, Kamala Harris, America's most ineffective, useless and morally bankrupt vice president in American history must not be voted in as Barack Obama's fourth term in office.

And now I'll add this card into the mix...Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is but a “spoiler”...along the lines of Ross Perot...for when he added himself into the presidential discourse he did so even while knowing that he had no chance of beating either Donald J. Trump or at the time Joe Biden. But Kennedy also knew that he had every chance of garnering a certain amount of “Never Trumper” votes as well as disgruntled Democrat and Independent votes to possibly turn the election more than likely in first Biden's now Harris' favor. Remember, while Kennedy had a few good stances...his “anti-jab” and pro-Israel stances quickly come to mind...yet he still remains a liberal Democrat at heart. 

And this means that when push comes to shove Kennedy, along with the vast majority of Democrats, will stick together and vote the party-line ticket something we Republicans, for the most part, fail to do even at this most critical of times. One case in point...the die-hard, still unwavering “Never Trumpers” who are putting their personal dislike for “Donald Trump the man” above the “health, safety, and 'economic' welfare” of our country and our citizens.

But hopefully over these what will surely be three cantankerous months leading up to the November 5th election, a good number of these folks...plus still undecided independents and fence-sitting Republicans...will see that Donald Trump really is the only way to stop Obama from garnering his fourth term in office which would assure the continuing of Democrat policies that puts America and American citizens last. Remember, Obama must still cater to and placate his own taskmasters who are likely to demand that his promised “fundamental transformation of America” finally reach its long awaited fruition.

And now that Obama and his people have finally forced ...duly-nominated in the primaries...Joe Biden out of the race, Obama's nefarious agenda could be implemented by the very woman who...as per her recently released four-page plan to win in November...puts what she calls “Reproductive Rights” as the central touch point of her campaign. Taking a page out of Obama's 2008 strategy playbook, Harris' campaign seems to be aimed primarily not just at “centrist voters” in the key “swing states,” but also at the sum of suburban women voters for whom abortion is their number one issue, no matter that said issue has already been decided by the Supreme Court and is back in the rightful hands of the states...back where it always should have been and now must remain.

“Reproductive Rights” for Harris simply translates into a woman having the unfettered right to abort their unborn baby even at “full-term,” which sadly for most liberal women remains their main issue upon which they'll cast their vote. However, the majority of Americans across the political spectrum still deem both the overwhelming disaster that remains our unsecured southern border and our still floundering economy their main issues of concern when voting. In fact, the border issue itself directly affects the issues of the economy and the jobs market both of which, in turn, affects inflation, as well as the “health, safety, and welfare” of we American citizens.

In fact, in regards to the southern border, ever since Joe Biden appointed Harris, back in March 2021, to the key position of “border czar” and tasked her with, “leading our efforts' to address the 'root causes' of the border by working with Mexico and Central America to stem the flow of illegal border crossings at the Southern border”... we saw on their combined watch over 17 million unvetted “invaders”...yes “invaders”... as these are individuals who would not have met our “on-the-books” immigration laws definition of “immigrants”... entering into our country courtesy of Biden's proverbial “welcome mat” having been laid out in the name of garnering more Democrat votes.

And while Harris has obviously failed miserably in her task as “border czar”...remember she never even visited what is the actual southern border...we now see the liberal mainstream media and some in the Democrat hierarchy trying to “white wash” her total border failure. In fact, together they're trying to convince the public that Harris was never actually appointed “border czar” through the use of word semantics. Saying that Harris' role was “more narrow” and that the term “border czar” itself lacks a precise definition, the media and Harris' backers hope to remove one of the voters main issues from not only Harris' campaign discourse, but from the election discourse itself. Why so...because what is the Biden administration's border failure might well be the determining factor in who actually wins November's presidential election.

And so now the question is, can the failure that is Kamala Harris...a highly unpopular vice-president who sold out her boss Joe Biden so as to be anointed the Democrat party's nominee, something she would not have garnered running on her own merits of the lack thereof especially with the mood of the country now turning away from Harris' San Francisco-style progressiveness...can she win against the juggernaut that is the Trump/Vance Republican ticket?

The answer to that depends not only on which particular party one supports, but on said party's policies enacted and how they affect one's daily life. For example, those who support Harris and her on-the-books record of wanting private health insurance to be faded out in favor of a government-run health care system (socialized medicine if you will)...also support Harris' “anything goes” abortion stance, and her championing of the “Defend the Police” movement while at the same time wanting to not only abolish ICE but to decriminalize “undocumented (as in “illegal”) entry” into the U.S.

And these same Harris “groupies” applaud not only her support for the “Green New Deal” and the “Climate Change” nonsense, but her banning “fracking” and off-shore drilling, while caring not at all about how her stances affect our economy, rising food prices, the shock one gets when filling-up at “the pump,” or the fact that home and rent prices are reaching a point that might well see the building industry itself start to collapse.

Simply, Kamala Harris' stances are the antithesis of the stances of Donald Trump, his now VP choice J.D. Vance, and the majority of “We the People” who long for the four-years when under a Trump presidency we saw our economy at an all-time high, inflation at a 40-year low, jobs creation increasing across the board, we were energy independent, and the world while maybe not at peace at least saw no major wars being fought. And yet some like Allan Lichtman...a professor of history at the “American University in Washington, D.C.”..who has successfully predicted the last nine out of 10 White House races via the use of his “13 Keys to the White House” formula... says that “Kamala Harris can beat Trump,” I say she cannot win in the end unless the sure to come “voter fraud on steroids” is so overwhelming that Mickey Mouse himself could beat Donald J. Trump.

But why exactly do I say that Harris cannot beat Trump... simply because of the numbers. As of the April 9, 2024 “voter registration numbers”...the latest taken...we saw almost two thirds of those registered voters identifying as “partisan”...as in belonging to either the Republican or Democrat party. And contrary to what the liberal media wants you to believe, this means there is an almost even split between those who say they are Republicans (32% of voters) and those who say they are Democrats (33%). This means that 35% of those who routinely do vote are neither registered Republicans nor Democrats but are Independents...as in voters who more times than not tend to put the issues before usually overblown partisan rhetoric.

And with the two major party voters split basically evenly, recent Gallup numbers show that those identifying as Independents are more likely to lean and vote Republican than they are to lean and vote Democrat. As a result, when breakdown numbers are combined together 45% of adult voters identify either as Republicans or lean Republican, while 43% lean towards the Democrats. So the bottom line is will Trump garner the all-important Independent voters or will Harris...or will “voter fraud” one again cancel out the true numerical count?

And here is where it gets a bit dicey for we bore witness to what happened in 2020 courtesy of “voter fraud”...so we must look at the actual state of our union to determine where most likely the Independent votes will be cast. And here I say that with the crisis at the southern border being the Democrats...hence Harris'... main “Achilles heel”...as our cities become inundated with folks who have no right being here...as innocent American citizens are murdered by those coming here illegally...as homeless Americans, our veterans, and those barely getting by thanks to all the Biden/Harris initiated failed economic policies...policies that will continue to fail under a Harris' administration...the Independent voters, I believe, will side with the Republicans and the “Trump/Vance” ticket.

Simply, when coupled with Harris' questionable past now coming to light...a past that includes her prosecutorial record of letting criminals walk free; her failed track record as a candidate (remember Harris dropped out of the 2020 presidential race even before the first Democrat primary was held), plus her general dislike-ability rating...which includes a recent confirmation by her former top aide Symone Sanders that Harris subjected her staff to a “heinous work environment” and that, “She has no record of accomplishment and doesn’t have the temperament to be president”... coupled with her on-air constant inane “giggle fests”...all works against her with Independent voters who want the America of four years ago when they didn't have to live paycheck to paycheck nor did they have to pay exorbitant prices at the pump.

I believe the all-important Independent voters will see Kamala Harris as not just a total failure in her role as vice-president,...one who really should hang her head in shame...but that a Harris presidency would be a repeat of all the same failures. And with her being untested on what is now a world on the brink of escalating theaters of war, many folks...Republicans and many Independents see her as but a woman who while claiming to want to lead America into the future is actually a woman...a candidate...mired down in the Democrats mistakes of both the past and the present.

So when the Independents cast their vote for Trump as I think the majority will do after having compared and contrasted the Trump administration's record against the Biden/ Harris administration's record, I also hope the “Never Trumpers” do so as well for it's way passed time that they put their personal hatred for “Trump the man” aside and do what's best for our country. Remember, if the numbers are not there...and it's numbers alone that determine all elections...and if by “hook” or what would most likely be by “crook” Kamala Harris were to pull off a win, Obama would not only garner his fourth term in office, but what was our great republic would become in but a short period of time a very sad and long forgotten “fundamental transformation” memory. Case closed.

Not Unexpected...It Happened

Ever as a child I've been able to “sense,” if you will, things that will happen...a gift of sorts perhaps or maybe a curse...yet it's always been part of who I am. And while I won't go into specifics of past incidents I will say this, I've written in many Op-eds about an attempt on Donald Trump's life possibly happening ever since he announced this latest run for the White House, and I've spoken about it numerous times on our Right Side Patriots radio show including in one of last week's broadcasts. Sometimes you just feel something bad is soon going to happen...and then it does happen as if on a schedule of sorts.

On schedule indeed as Joe Biden's campaign and candidacy is imploding from within, and it's also possible that some left wing loon thought he'd be a hero by eliminating Biden's rival. Is this the case...only time and a thorough investigation will tell, but for now we know that 20-year old Thomas Mathew Crooks attempted to assassinate former and soon to be again President Donald J. Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania this past Saturday night. Thankfully, the assassination attempt failed. 

And while Trump was hurt...he was visibly bleeding from a gunshot wound to the upper part of his right ear... another few millimeters to the right and he likely would have been shot dead, but instead he was able to assure the crowd gathered that he was alright. And with his physical resilience allowing Trump to give a fist bump in the air while shouted “fight, fight, fight,” Trump sent a powerful message that he will continue on in his quest to do right by America and “We the People” as well.

And even before the proverbial dust had time to settle, the “blame game” began to take shape...as in a game where everyone but the shooter himself was being blamed for what had just transpired. A history defining moment...a moment that should have brought our nation together as it did when JFK was assassinated back in 1963...instead not so unexpectedly turned into a leftist driven, media regurgitation about Donald Trump's MAGA Republicans being the reason not only for the increase in political violence that has now become the hallmark of today's political discourse; but how Trump is not only a threat to “our democracy”...which we are not...but that he's both an authoritarian in waiting and a would-be dictator if not stopped. And this comes after Joe Biden having publicly stated on July 8th, and I quote, “It's time to put Trump in a bullseye.”

 

And while I do not believe that Joe Biden had any direct hand in this most grievous of events, isn't it odd that an assassination attempt on Trump's life occurred just a mere 5 days after Biden spewed the very words about a “bullseye.” What I believe Biden's words did was resonate within said shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks' leftist indoctrinated ever-sick mind that he alone would become not only a hero of the left, but America's saving grace if he could remove Trump from the presidential race. But unbeknownst to him, Crooks' actions actually assured Donald J. Trump a November win...a win that could well be “Reganesque” in scope...and rightly so.

But with all eyes now rightfully focused on Donald Trump, and with Biden of course being Biden, he knew that he somehow had to at least attempt to get the overwhelming media spotlight taken off his opponent, and be placed on him instead...an attempt that seems to have backfired big time. How so? Biden's failure came courtesy of his very own words said...words literally so uninspiring...especially now during a time of a national tragedy...but were words so veiled as to show discontent for his political opponent ...an opponent who had literally just been shot. And in Biden's saying that he was “waiting for additional information” before formally calling the “attack” an “attempted assassination” on the former president, proved to all...at least those with both their eyes and minds open... that Joe Biden is as miserable an excuse of a man as he is as a president.

But Joe Biden's babbling is small potatoes in relation to the actual events that not only took place, but events that should have been, but apparently were not, attended to before the rally even started. And while it pains me to disparage both the FBI and the Secret Service for not having done what should have been a routine “sweep” of the area before Trump arrived on scene...a “sweep” that should have included the rooftops of buildings clearly in proximity to and in direct view of the rally venue, President Trump would not have been shot; two rally goers would not be injured, and Trump supporting rally goer Corey Comperatore would not now be dead. Simply, accountability must be demanded...no ifs, ands, or buts.

In fact, the Department of Homeland Security, at the bidding of Congress itself, should immediately open an investigation into what was not just an assassination attempt on one man, but an attempt at possible mass murder of innocent bystanders as well. “We the People” need to know the mindset and why Crooks did what he did, because this one event alone has now proven that our once held belief that we are safe here on American soil no longer holds true.

Donald J. Trump must win in November not just for America's sake but for the world's sake and safety as well, for world leaders are appalled at what took place. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu sums up the feelings of most world leaders in his statement that, “Sara and I were shocked by the apparent attack on President Trump. We pray for his safety and speedy recovery...for this wasn't just an attack on Donald Trump. This was an attack on a candidate for the presidency of the United States. This was an attack on America.” It most certainly was...an act of domestic terrorism in fact. And this sadly might not be the only attack on Trump as the threat of political violence sadly continues to escalate even unknowingly courtesy of those who should now be on Trump's side.

And here I speak of the so-called “Never Trumpers” who even after the Trump assassination attempt remain vehement in their disdain for the man. Examples of their comments can be seen on Facebook and other social media venues. But to the “Never Trumpers” I say, please give up the fight as Trump will be America's next president, that became a done deal this past Saturday night. Your fight might have been a just fight a year or so ago, but it no longer is for Joe Biden as Obama's puppet will destroy all that is America if he's given a second term in office, something I think even you do not want.

Simply, what happened on Saturday night is not the solution to America's problems... violence nor acts of misplaced vengeance never is especially when it relates to political disagreements alone. The time to start healing our country...the time to start healing and rebuilding the Republican Party...begins on November 5th with the election of Donald J. Trump as president. And these words come from a “Ron DeSantis for President” supporter not then a Trump supporter...but I am now as no circumstances nor persons otherwise are acceptable to me. May Trump have a speedy recovery...America and “We the People” cannot survive as our “Founders and Framers” intended with Joe Biden being Obama's fourth term in office. Case closed.

The Presidency Is Ours To Lose

There are certain indisputable facts that we Republicans and Conservatives have to face whether we like it or not for 2024 is fast approaching and solutions for unsolved problems and issues have yet to be addressed.

• Fact: Democrats won in 2022 no matter that we Republicans narrowly took back the House

• Fact: Republicans lost the Senate because (mostly) bad to mediocre candidates were the options we Republicans got to choose from, then when they lost we blamed the Republican hierarchy for not giving said candidates the monetary aid nor support they needed to win.

• Fact: Certain Republicans and Conservatives are unwilling to accept the fact that it's time to move onto the next generation of leaders what with revenge politics being both a poor reason for running and a worse reason for believing that it alone will garner a 2024 win.

To put it bluntly, whomever the Democrat presidential candidate finally is he or she will most likely win the presidency; our slim hold on the House could well be wiped out; and the Senate stands a good chance of remaining in Democrat control to such a degree that no VP tie-breaking vote is needed.

And why this doom and gloom scenario? The answer for me is five fold. First, some of we Republicans and Conservatives...and especially certain already announced candidates...continue to ignore our great Republican President Ronald Reagan's all-important 11th commandment not to talk ill of fellow Republicans. Second, our voting system in general remains rife with fraud, corruption, and fixed balloting including but not limited to the Constitutional shaming known as early voting; irregularities in regards to absentee and mail-in ballots;* pre-programmed and vote switching tabulating software; and election officials with most decidedly leftist partisan agendas.

Third, and probably worse of all, is the fact that in today's America voter registration and photo ID is not mandatory in all 50 states when casting one's vote; let alone the sad fact that the “dead” still get to cast their always party line Democrat vote (whether they were registered Democrats when alive or not); and “ILLEGALS” are freely voting in our elections no matter that our Constitution clearly states that only U.S. “citizens” can vote.

Don't believe me...how about this from our Constitution's 14th Amendment Section 1, which clearly states that, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.” “Citizens” folks... “citizens”...it's there for a reason...no mention of “illegals” at all.

Simply, the above three reasons stated are but a few of the key election shenanigans that we know of and rightfully complain about but are doing nothing of substance to remedy.

Now let's add in reason number four...the veiled issue known as “extremist policies” ...policies that do not play well with more than half of all American voters. And to that affect our current crop of announced candidates seems to care more about garnering the religious far right's votes while not even paying lip service to the critical and all-important independent vote...voters and votes desperately needed if we are take back back the White House in 2024...voters who are more middle-of-the-roaders than they are decidedly left or right.

And to that affect “extremism” is indeed the calling card of the uber religious far right who continue to deem abortion the number one issue facing America today. And in their keeping abortion at the front and center of this election cycle, they are actually, whether knowingly or not, helping to further fracture the Republican party, by now putting on the back burner issues affecting us all on a daily basis.

So here let's start...in no particular order...with the very true unabating issues facing America today...as in inflation coupled with ever rising gas and food prices; out of control government spending; the need for the Second Amendment now more than ever before; crime continuing to run rampant in America's streets; the still ongoing invasion at our southern border; wokeism overtaking both common sense and logic; and the (in my opinion) farce known as “climate change”...as in the “weather”...with its proponents continuing to play us like fools as the uninformed masses still don't understand that climate and pollution are two entirely different things.

So while abortion indeed is an important issue it's not the end all and be all to things that must get done. In fact, the timing of the Supreme Court's ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade right before last year's midterm election might well have signaled the very foreboding of what we fear most... as in losing the presidency once again. Why so...simply because when any issue is deemed to border on “extremism”... which the topic of abortion is tagged as by the left and even by some on the right...they then have a weapon to use against us for extremist views are something the left...the Democrats... know the masses nor the independents will accept as the new norm.

Simply, if we were smart we'd leave the entire discourse regarding abortion at the state level...which the SCOTUS ruling actually did...and leave it entirely out of the upcoming presidential nomination discourse. After all, with the issue now having been thrown back to the states there's no need for our side to discuss it at all, and yet front and center it remains for many on our side a prime issue.

And sadly, instead of focusing on the aforementioned issues at hand...inflation, the southern border, rising crime numbers, the Second Amendment, to name but a few...we know well that everything will surely get worse before even possibly starting to get better. And why... because the Democrats still outnumber Republicans, and it's numbers that determine who is the winner and who is the loser of any given election. And for this fact alone numbers become reason number five as to why we still could lose the presidency in 2024, especially if our side loses the independent vote.

But before I get into those numbers there's an issue no one saw coming, as in FOX News recently settling their lawsuit with Dominion and admitted that some of their on-air personalities lied about the 2020 election being stolen...which I believe could well be a lie in and of itself...and now has many of us wondering if the media can ever again be trusted when reporting on election results.

And to that I say emphatically “no,” after all almost a third of all Americans...me included...still believe the 2020 election was stolen for the simple fact is how could a man who rarely left his basement hideaway beat a man who drew hundreds of thousands to his campaign rallies even at the height of the covid pandemic?

Simply, in my opinion, he surely could not...that is unless election interference took place in the guise of tabulation fixing, voting irregularities, and highly questionable mail-in ballots being both delivered and counted in the middle of the night. No folks, I stand strong in my belief that the basement dweller did not win...fairly anyway...yet the news station we and our candidate of choice counted on to at least play fair now admitted to having sold us all out. One now has to wonder just what does...let's say George Soros or one of his ilk...have on FOX News to turn a once trusted station into a pariah at best...a pariah who could again be part and party to erroneously delivering election results.

Now back to reason number five as in numbers, for in reality nothing else matters. Simply, our numbers must be strong...no fence sitting allowed...for we then must all unite behind whomever the Republican nominee is...no spoilers running third party allowed. And if said nominee is President Donald J. Trump the “Never Trumpers” must stop their game playing and unite behind him as well for no one could be worse than what we have now. And while we all know that Trump comes with much baggage, even the naysayers amongst us must admit that life was better...our country was better...when he was president. 

And if Florida Governor Ron DeSantis does indeed run and garners the nomination the “Only Trumpers” best get onboard for the same reason. as must the independents, who hopefully do understand the true ramification of their much needed vote, especially after the sad to mediocre Republican showing in last year's midterm election.

Bottom line...five key reasons remain as to why we might not retake the White House in 2024...animosity within our own party; a tabulating system still not to be trusted; the bought and paid for “ILLEGAL” vote; unyielding extremist policies that allow the true issues to become lost in the shuffle; and numbers that we can do little about if loyalties are allowed to trump reality.

And that reality...to me anyway...is that maybe the time has come for the next generation of leaders to take over which means that those who are now seeking or might seek the Republican nomination for president must put country first before all else, and think long and hard about the position they strive for, for its a heavy burden to carry and not all are now equipped to carry it...baggage not withstanding. Case closed.
