Netanyahu: Iran increasing efforts to deepen jihad activities in West Bank

Iran is Shi’ite, but the Iranian mullahs hate Israel and the Jews more than they hate the Sunni jihadists in Judea and Samaria. Also, by aiding Sunni jihad activity, the Iranians continue to try to position themselves as the world leader of Muslims — a position for which they have a good deal of competition.

Iran is increasing its efforts to “deepen” its terrorist activities in the West Bank, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the cabinet at its weekly meeting on Sunday.

“No less a personage than the Palestinian Authority’s ambassador in Tehran said that he is excited by the directives of Iran’s ruler [Ali] Khamaeni to send weapons to the West Bank,” Netanyahu said.

The prime minister directly quoted the Palestinian envoy as saying, “The Zionist entity is an aggressive cancerous growth that sooner or later must be eliminated,” he said.

Netanyahu emphasized that these were not the words of a Hamas representative, but rather that of the Palestinian Authority’s official in Iran.

“Now what does the UN do in response?” Netanyahu asked. “Instead of dealing with this incitement, it gives it a place of honor, the same incitement that leads in the end to the terror acts that we have experienced lately.”…

And they came...almost 30,000 strong...police officers from all over this country and beyond to pay their last respects to the first of the two assassinated N.Y.P.D. officers. And so Officer...now Detective First Grade*...Rafael Ramos...Shield No. 6335...was laid to rest this past Saturday.

And pay their respects they did NOT only with tears but also with a simple act of defiance...unplanned yet with more power to it than any planned action could ever have had...for as some of the officers in attendance inside the church stood and turned their backs on Mayor Bill de Blasio as soon as he started to speak so too did the thousands of officers...brothers and sisters of every rank in their dress blues and white gloves...who had gathered outside Christ Tabernacle Church to watch the funeral service being broadcast on Jumbotron screens.

Standing strong to show a united front in defiance of a mayor who outwardly caters and panders to the race-baiters and cop-haters who are feeding off the deaths of the two officers for their own personal gain, this man, this mayor, has personally drawn the ire of both officers and police union officials...officials who are locked in contentious contract negotiations with the city...for what they (rightly) say is de Blasio's lack of support, disrespect for the police, and outright support and sympathy for those behaving badly. And so this vile man has now so rightly had his face publicly slapped for only when he finished speaking did the officers both inside and outside the church turn back around and face front.

And with those outside the church standing five or six deep, this honorably defiant sea of blue then stood silently along the route to the cemetery NOT just to honor their fallen brother but because they know in their hearts that when Ramos' blood was spilled their blood was also spilled...maybe NOT today but possibly tomorrow for there is always deep inside a fear that they might be next. And sadly with Bill de Blasio as mayor...that tomorrow could very well become today for while de Blasio has now called for the protesters to temporarily halt their demonstrations the key word here is 'temporarily.'

“Our hearts are aching today,” and “New York City has lost a hero,” he said.

Simply, Bill de Blasio had NO business being at that funeral for Ramos' life meant NOTHING to him. In fact, de Blasio proved that by being hours late for the officer's Friday wake and memorial service, arriving just in time as the service was concluding...arriving just in time for a photo-op...making the words he spoke in Saturday's eulogy ring hollow at best. In hushed tones and with eyes looking downward at most times...and with fingers most likely crossed behind his back...de Blasio praised both 'New York's Finest' and Officer Ramos by saying,

But what de Blasio does NOT get is that Ramos, while indeed a hero, was NOT a hero in the classic sense of the word but was instead a direct victim and casualty of his...Bill de Blasio's...misguided and dangerous policies and sentiments towards the N.Y.P.D. And these anti-police sentiments included creating a hostile environment that encouraged actions like those that led to Ramos' and fellow Officer Liu's death, condoning and actually encouraging street protests against the police for perceived injustices that NEVER happened, and telling the press and media that he had warned his biracial son time and again about the dangers he faced in any possible encounter with the police solely because of the color of his skin.

And on that de Blasio does have a point, but a point whose blame lies directly with those of his son's skin color NOT with the police, for the fact is that over these recent months America has in a sense been held hostage in an ongoing pattern of violence created solely by certain segments of the population...by certain folks of a certain skin color...behaving very badly in reaction to the rightful decisions of two grand juries NOT to indict two white officers in the deaths of two black thugs. And the riots, arson, looting, and protests that followed and continue to this day have the Obama-controlled media outwardly siding with and cheering on the lawless mostly black mobs, while demeaning and damning the police NO matter their color NO matter their actions.

Also speaking at the funeral was Vice President Joe Biden. And while most will say why was he...the ever comical master of foot-in-mouth bloviations...here and NOT Obama himself...this can be answered on two fronts. First, Obama dared NOT show his face amongst the sea of angry cops as simply put it was and continues to be he and his cronies who directly have fueled NOT only all the racial animosity but also all the police hatred that is currently ripping apart our nation. And second, Obama NEVER appears anywhere where all eyes cannot be focused on his own narcissistic self. And if truth be told Biden, in my opinion, did have a place being there as it was he who in 1994, wrote the 'Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act,' an act considered by many to be the most important crime and pro-law enforcement legislation ever written and passed.

This bill, signed into law by then-President Bill Clinton, set out to spend $30.2 billion to put more police officers on the streets, build new prisons, and create crime prevention programs. And while it banned assault weapons, it did expanded the number of crimes that fall under the federal death penalty, created tougher penalties for drug offenders, created new categories of crimes like hate crimes and sex crimes, and forced sex offenders to appear on a national register...most all good things.

And as much as Biden has his many faults he is NOT...again in my opinion...a traitor to this country nor has ever NOT supported the police...both critical differences between he and Obama...making his appearance at the funeral justifiable. And Biden was applauded when he spoke of Ramos' path to the police department as well as when he said, "So when this assassin's bullet targeted the two officers, it targeted this city and it touched the soul of the entire nation." Of critical importance here is that Biden actually called the black muslim murderer an assassin something Obama still has NOT done...and we all know why.

So while other notables eulogized the slain officer...people like New York Governor Andrew Cuomo who said words to the effect that all of New York State's Police stand untied together...it was Police Commissioner William J. Bratton words, “As I look into the faces of the loved ones left behind, whose worst fear has been suddenly realized, I hope, ‘Never again.’ But here we are,” that spoke the truth about the possible reality facing those who wear the badge of NOT only the N.Y.P.D. but of police departments throughout our country.

And as the sea of blue uniforms and white gloves stretched on for block after block, and as police helicopters flew above in the missing-man formation, Officer Rafael Ramos, whose casket was draped in the N.Y.P.D. flag, was laid to rest. But we cannot dry our tears yet for Officer Wenjian Liu's funeral is still to come.

Nuclear: Is It Time to Take North Korea Seriously?

It seemed like the ultimate absurdity from a dictator that most Americans regard as absurd to begin with. When Kim Jong-un’s North Korea hacked Sony Pictures and threatened “9/11″ style attacks if Seth Rogen’s The Interview was released, we just shook our heads. Had it really come to this? Were we really going to let this little weasel tell us that we can’t see a movie? The country rejoiced when Sony – at the last minute – decided they were going to go ahead with the release of the film.
But a new analysis of the Hermit Kingdom’s nuclear program shows that there may be cause to start taking the country a little more seriously. Led by David Albright and a group of U.S. experts, the inquiry into North Korea’s nuclear program shows cause for concern. As part of a project called “North Korea’s Nuclear Futures,” the study estimates that the country could possess enough material for 79 nuclear weapons by the year 2020. According to the analysis, Kim Jong-un’s government is producing enough plutonium and enriched uranium to give them equal footing with nuclear states like India and Pakistan.
Albright said in an interview with Bloomberg, “[North Korea] is on the verge of deploying a nuclear arsenal that would pose not only a threat to the United States and its allies but also to China.”

The secrecy and darkness in which North Korea operates makes it difficult to know exactly what’s going on behind the curtain. However, even accounting for best-case-scenarios, the future of the North Korean nuclear program looks grim for the rest of the world. Many U.S. officials see this as a defensive strategy on the part of the dictator, with Jong-un hoping to build an arsenal that will serve as a deterrent to South Korea, the United States, and any other country that might have designs on his power. But there’s always the chance – especially considering the NK government’s bizarre and erratic behavior – that they could strike first.
It’s important to recognize that North Korea is only able to avoid total collapse due to their relationship with Communist China. The best estimates have it that China provides the country with up to 80% of consumer goods and nearly half of its food. There is also reason to think that China provides direct aid to Kim Jong-un’s government. Naturally, this makes our own ongoing economic relationship with China a matter of some controversy. How willing is Beijing to back us if the rubber meets the road? Or, to put it another way, are they at least willing to step aside if worse comes to worst?
If Pyongyang can develop a potent and public nuclear arsenal, it could have a ripple effect. Japan may well follow suit. Iran is already on the verge, enabled by American negotiations that aim for the opposite. If Iran gets the bomb, dozens of other Islamic countries could have it by proxy. What happens then? Perhaps instead of talking about “proportional” responses and “cyber vandalism,” we need to start getting serious about the little man with a big Napoleon complex.

To those nattering nabobs of negativity who don’t trust government to do the right thing, or even to stop doing the wrong thing once discovered, I just want to say: “You’re right.”

Again.

Last April, a Washington Post exposé about a bizarrely tyrannical debt collection program caused the Social Security Administration (SAA) to publicly promise it would cease and desist from said program. The Social Security bureaucracy had been snatching the income tax refund checks of grown children whose parents, many decades ago, had allegedly been sent excess money intended for the care and feeding of these then-youngsters by this same incompetent outfit.

The booty? A not insignificant $75 million. The victims? A whopping 400,000 of them.

Due process? The SSA didn’t go before a judge to prove these people owed a valid debt, nor even bother to inform folks that their tax refunds were being seized. Instead, the Social Security gang just flat-out took the money . . . surreptitiously, like any other thief in the night.

In a stark break with their name, Social Security officials decided to collect these “debts” by intercepting state and federal tax refunds before they could be sent to the adults whose parents or parent had allegedly received excess benefits some three or even four decades ago.

Of course, Congress has its bloody, rotten hands in this. A provision in the 2008 farm bill authorized SSA to beginning collecting overpayments going back beyond the 10-year limit that had been the law.

In some of these collection cases, the SSA wasn’t certain who exactly owed the money. In one case, the agency went after a child even when they could find the mother who supposedly owed the money. Why? The mother had already beaten them in federal court.

The SSA flouted more than common sense and decency. Children should not be held legally responsible for the debts of their parents.

Hasn’t this been settled law for at least the last couple of centuries?

“They are going after kids, and their briefs prove it,” explains Robert Vogel, an attorney litigating against the SSA, “They’re asking the court to be the first court in the United States to force a child to pay a debt incurred by the parents. It’s really quite disgusting.”

Amid tension, more than 20,000 attend NYPD funeral

NEW YORK (AP) — Thousands of police officers, state troopers, sheriff's deputies and others from law enforcement agencies big and small across the country gathered at the New York City funeral of a slain officer killed with his partner in a brazen daytime ambush a week ago.

The sea of blue uniforms stretched for blocks outside the Christ Tabernacle Church in Queens on Saturday, as police helicopters flew above in a missing-man formation and Officer Rafael Ramos' body was carried by pallbearers in a casket draped in the New York Police Department flag. The NYPD estimates more than 20,000 officers attended.

"When an assassin's bullet targeted two officers, it targeted this city and it touched the soul of an entire nation," Vice President Joe Biden said in his eulogy.

But the somber day, reminiscent of the bond New Yorkers shared after the Sept. 11 attacks and Superstorm Sandy, was not without tension.

During the eulogy, a few hundred officers outside the church turned away from giant screens showing de Blasio, who has been harshly criticized by New York police union officials as a contributor to a climate of mistrust that preceded the killings of Ramos and his partner, Wenjian Liu.

Sgt. Myron Joseph of the New Rochelle Police Department said he and fellow officers turned their backs spontaneously to "support our brothers in the NYPD."

In a statement, de Blasio's spokesman said: "The Ramos and Liu families, our police department and our city are dealing with an unconscionable tragedy. Our sole focus is unifying this city and honoring the lives of our two police officers."

In his eulogy, the mayor said hearts citywide were broken after the Dec. 20 shootings.

Police Commissioner William Bratton, who said Ramos and Liu were targeted because they wore a uniform, was scheduled to appear on CBS' "Face the Nation" on Sunday. On Friday he made Ramos — who was studying to become a pastor and kept Bible study books in his locker — an honorary chaplain of his Brooklyn precinct.

Another young convert “misunderstanding” Islam in exactly the same way as millions of other Muslims and converts. At least that’s what the media and political elites tell us – as if they understood Islam better than the devout.

“Sparks fear of ‘propaganda coup.'” It should spark fear of the Islamic texts and teachings that command holy war.

If the Islamic State is not Islamic, what is it? How did this misunderstanding of Islam become so widespread? Why are so many more Western Muslims and Muslim converts  than ever joined al Qaeda joining the Islamic State?

And while Muslims in the West condemn the Islamic State, where are they teaching against the ideology that gave rise to it?

Obama: Afghanistan “not going to be a source of terrorist attacks again”

How can he say this after sending Guantanamo detainees back to Afghanistan, and while the Taliban continue to operate with relative impunity? He can say it because he is Obama: he knows that no matter what he says, the mainstream media will cover for him.
