FOX FIRES O’REILLY: Murdoch boys slash and burn

Let me say, I am not a fan of O’Reilly. He is a populist, and his positions change as frequently as the weather. But his populism was tied to the Fox news viewer, so while he couldn’t be counted on, the viewer could be.

O’Reilly’s rating were unmatched. Consistently. No one came near him night after night, and the trajectory was up, always. And so it is a blow to Fox, but everything the leftwing Murdoch boys have done in the wake of Ailes untimely departure has been a blow to the Fox viewer.

The left has always seen Bill O’Reilly as a conservative giant, and they are rejoicing. The left is ecstatic. They are unconcerned with the degrees of Republicanism. If you are not a collectivist, a statist, you must be taken down. This is a triumph for them. They don’t care about sexual harassment: Bill Clinton is proof of that.

The problem ism where does the Fox viewer go? To the interweb and sites like mine.

As for these sexual harassment allegations, I find their claims too little, too late, and too opportunistic. It’s interesting how these broads go along until they don’t get their own show or when the payouts begin. It seems to me that these women exploit their sexuality until they don’t get what they want.

Shame on the Fresno Police

What in hell is wrong with the Fresno CA police...a muslim man with a history of making terrorist threats...with a history of white hatred and threats against whites...a man suspected of murdering a white man last week...cold-bloodily murdered three random white man yesterday on Fresno's streets while yelling 'allahu-akbar' and the Fresno police say they will NOT investigate the murders as an act of terrorism. I say they and all who think and act...or should I say refuse to act against the terrorists amongst us...will get us all killed by their inactions.

Gorsuch to Hear Important Religious Liberty Case Tomorrow

Neil Gorsuch has assumed his duties as associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court just in time to hear a significant case on religious liberty. At first glance, Trinity Lutheran v. Cromer is about a local church and its right to a tire scrap program, but a closer look suggests it could have larger, national implications.

In January 2013, the state of Missouri denied Trinity Lutheran Church access to a program that provides recycled tires for playgrounds, on the grounds that it would violate the separation of church and state. More specifically, the state argued it would violate the Blaine Amendment, which states that no state taxpayer money should be intended for religious entities.

Townhall sat down with the Judicial Crisis Network’s Carrie Severino Tuesday, who discussed the Blaine Amendment, stating that it was an attempt by Speaker of the House James G. Blaine in 1875 to prevent the  direct and indirect aid to religious institutions. It failed in Congress, though various state legislatures passed versions of it. In all, 37 states have Blaine Amendments in their constitutions. The language is so overarching that Severino said that, in theory, emergency services couldn't even respond to 9-1-1 calls from these groups. Besides this playground issue, the amendment also impacts education as well, with school voucher programs being obstructed by opponents who cite this law—even though taxpayers aren't funding religious education. The voucher money goes to parents who then choose whether to send their kids to private, parochial, or charter schools.

The Missouri version of the Blaine Amendment is the one of the most stringent in the country, Severino explained. It's also pretty questionable - especially when you consider the groups that support it. It has the thumbs up, for instance, from The Freedom from Religion Foundation, the ACLU, and the Satanic Temple.

No Longer Stifled, Obama Energy Department Official Admits We Should've Built Keystone

Former Obama Energy Department official Adam Sieminski does not need to "stifle" his opinion of his old boss's policies anymore. Now out of the White House, Sieminski is free to criticize decisions with which he did not agree. One of those had to do with the unnecessarily controversial Keystone pipeline.

"One opinion I don't have to stifle anymore is that I think the Keystone XL pipeline should have been built," Sieminski told the news outlet Axios at a Brookings Institution event.

Judging by his remarks it appears not every member of the Obama White House wanted to capitulate to the environmental movement's demands. TransCanada applied for construction of the pipeline in the U.S. in 2008. Yet, Obama let climate activists dismantle the deal with their warnings that the pipeline would prompt the use of tar sands oil and in effect speed global warming.

After years of Obama stalling on the pipeline, Trump officially gave the green light for its construction in March. TransCanada CEO Russ Girling predicted Keystone XL will create thousands of jobs.

This might put her over the top — if the French have any sense left. Although with a Muslim population of 10%, it may very well be too late.

French election: Le Pen pledges to suspend immigration

One of the frontrunners in the French presidential election, far-right leader Marine Le Pen, says she would suspend all legal immigration to France.

The National Front (FN) leader told a rally that she wanted to stop “a mad, uncontrolled situation”.

Polls suggest she is neck and neck with centrist Emmanuel Macron, ahead of Sunday’s first round of voting.

Mr Macron warned voters that choosing far-left candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon would be like Cuba without the sun.

Opinion polls predict that Mr Macron and Ms Le Pen will reach the second round on 7 May. But it looks like a very tight race.

According to an Elabe poll for news channel BFMTV, Mr Macron is on course to get 24% of the vote in the first round, Marine Le Pen 23%, conservative Francois Fillon 19.5% and Mr Mélenchon 18%.
