Israel PM: Nuclear talks must end over Iran ‘blackmail’ tactics
BBC News

Israel’s prime minister has urged world powers to immediately end nuclear talks with Iran, after it decided to start using advanced machines to enrich uranium at an underground plant.

Naftali Bennett warned the US that Iran was “carrying out ‘nuclear blackmail’ as a negotiation tactic”.

Iran said diplomats in Vienna “won’t take instruction” from Israel.

They are trying to save a 2015 deal that curbed Iran’s nuclear programme in return for the lifting of sanctions. It has been close to collapse since then-US President Donald Trump pulled out and reinstated sanctions three years ago.

Iran responded by violating key commitments. Many of them are related to the production of enriched uranium, which is widely used as fuel for nuclear power plants but can also be used in nuclear weapons.

President Joe Biden has said the US will rejoin the agreement and lift its sanctions if Iran returns to compliance. But his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, has insisted the US…Read more and see video here.

Dan Crenshaw Had the Best Reaction to Abrams' Announcement She's Running for Governor
Leah Barkoukis / Townhall Columnist

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) had the best reaction to Stacey Abrams announcing Wednesday night that she is running for governor of Georgia in 2022.

“Opportunity in our state shouldn’t be determined by ZIP code, background or access to power,” Abrams said on Twitter along with a video about her decision.

Crenshaw responded to her tweet, “Wait I thought you said you were already the Governor.”

Since losing to Gov. Brian Kemp by nearly 55,000 votes, Abrams spent years arguing she won because voters were disenfranchised.

“I cannot say that everybody who tried to cast a ballot would’ve voted for me, but if you look at the totality of the information, it is sufficient to demonstrate that so many people were disenfranchised and disengaged by the very act of the person who won the election that I feel comfortable now saying,...Read more and see tweet and video here.

Soros-backed Loudoun prosecutor defending parents against school board faces potential disqualification

Tyler O’Neil | Fox News

Loudoun County, Virginia, Commonwealth’s Attorney Buta Biberaj said she does not plan to recuse herself from the legal battle to remove School Board Chair Brenda Sheridan, despite the fact that a judge disqualified Biberaj from a similar case against a former school board member and despite Biberaj’s alleged involvement in some of the claims against Sheridan.

The parent organization Fight for Schools, which filed the petition to remove Sheridan, has also filed a petition to disqualify Biberaj from the case. Ian Prior, the group’s executive director, told Fox News that Biberaj has clear conflicts of interest in the case.

In order to remove an elected official in Virginia, petitioners must acquire signatures and bring the case before a judge. If a judge approves the petition, the commonwealth’s attorney prosecutes the case. Biberaj, the attorney in question, received an $861,039 assist from the George…Read more and see video here.

Malliotakis Demands DOJ Put an End to De Blasio's 'Unlawful Plans' for City
Leahb Barkoukis / Townhall Columnist

Outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday New York City will open supervised injection sites for drug users.

The Democrat claimed that “after decades of failure,” opening Overdose Prevention Centers is the “smarter approach.”

Locations in East Harlem and Washington Heights are among the first to open in the city, based on “health need and depth of program experience,” the Health Department said.

“New York City has led the nation’s battle against COVID-19, and the fight to keep our community safe doesn’t stop there. After exhaustive study, we know the right path forward to protect the most vulnerable people in our city. And we will not hesitate to take it,” de Blasio said.

“Overdose Prevention Centers are a safe and effective way to address the opioid crisis,” he added. Others, like Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY...See tweet and letter here.

Biden requiring stricter COVID testing of legal travelers even as illegal immigrants have gotten a pass
Michael Lee | Fox News

The Biden administration is set to introduce stricter testing for both vaccinated and unvaccinated legal travelers entering the United States amid the rising threat of the Omicron variant even while illegal migrants have gone mostly untested.

President Biden‘s enhanced winter COVID-19 strategy that will be announced Thursday will require every traveler entering the country, including returning U.S. citizens, to be tested one day before boarding their flight, according to the CDC. The rule will also apply to vaccinated travelers, who previously were only required to show a negative test no more than three days before their flight.

But the Biden administration has refused to put similar requirements in place for those who illegally cross the border, claiming in September that such individuals do not intend “to stay here for a lengthy period of time.” “As individuals come across the border, and they are both assessed for whether they…Read more here.
