Inflation is ‘here for a while’: Investment expert

Macro Trends Advisors LLC founding partner Mitch Roschelle warned on Sunday that inflation will be “here for a while” as consumer prices hit a new four-decade high last month. 

Speaking on “Fox News Live,” Roschelle forecasted that price hikes will likely go even “higher.”

“Shelter costs, what it costs for housing, ends up being a lagging indicator the way it’s calculated by the government,” he noted. “And those prices are continuing to go up.” 

Roschelle pointed out that “home prices are going up even though interest rates are going up” and “rent is skyrocketing. So I think You have that as a tailwind pushing up inflation,” he stressed.

Harris Angers the Left With Out-of-touch Tweet After Dobbs Ruling

Vice President Kamala Harris was blasted on social media for her message to supporters after the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization ruling, which overturns Roe v. Wade and kicks the issue of abortion back to the states.

“I know there are women out there who are afraid. To those of you who feel alone and scared: I want you to know the President and I are fighting for you and your rights. We are in this fight together,” she tweeted along with an image of her watching CNN protest coverage from Air Force 2. 

Many on the left wanted to know what, specifically, she meant when she said the administration is “fighting” for people. Read more and see tweets here.

Bill Maher: Donald Trump Will Easily Win In 2024

Real Time host Bill Maher is confident President Trump can take back the White House in 2024, but with one condition: he must “let go” of 2020. 

During a segment on his show, Maher said that Trump needs to stop being so fixated on the 2020 election, claiming that if he did, Trump would crush Democrats. 

“I just thought, you know, if Trump could just let go of the election, which he can’t, he can win this so easy because he can win just on Drag Queen Story Hour…Again, if he could just let go of the election, but at this point, you know, he’s just like a hotel room that smells at some point you just want a new room, you know what I mean?” Maher said. 

Maher then brought Ron DeSantis (R-FLA) into the mix, conceding that he would make a better candidate. “And DeSantis, I mean, he’s just more is more vibrant, if you like people who don’t lose elections and, you know… he’s also not plagued by scandal the way that Trump is,” Maher said, adding that DeSantis could beat Joe Biden. Roe decision was always a house of cards — abortion must be up to the people

After 49 years of legal arguments, protests and political battles over the composition of the Supreme Court, the court has finally overturned Roe v. Wade.

No matter how you feel about abortion, this should be welcomed as a healthy development for American democracy and for the rule of written law made by the people’s representatives. Roe was a legal mistake that played a large role in driving our national politics crazy. Now the democratic process gets to decide what happens to abortion.

Before Roe, nearly every state in the Union banned or restricted abortion, but the trend was toward allowing abortion in more situations. That trend, here and abroad, tracked the liberalizing of divorce laws and other features of the sexual revolution of the 1960s and 1970s. Roe stopped all that in its tracks, high-handedly sweeping off the books the laws of nearly every state at once. (New York’s law, the nation’s most permissive, allowed abortions up to 24 weeks.)
