Twitter blue checks reportedly purchased by Taliban officials revoked

The verified "blue check" for senior Taliban officials on Twitter appears to have been revoked following media reports that they paid the social media site's $8 monthly subscription fee for the verified status.

Two officials with the Taliban subscribed to the Twitter Blue service, a monthly service offered after new owner Elon Musk took over the social media platform, the New York Post reported. 

The BBC reported earlier Tuesday that Taliban officials Abdul Haq Hammad, the top media official at the Afghan Ministry of Information and Culture, and Hedayatullah Hedayat, the head of the Taliban's department for "access to information," paid for the blue check.

Some Taliban supporters also acquired the blue check, though the symbol was not visible on their account pages. After the report, their verified status disappeared, the Post reported.

Joe was caught stashing sensitive materials at multiple locations, including his residence in Wilmington, Delaware. One trove was found in his garage. Some more files marked top secret were found inside the home. These files were taken when Joe was vice president and left the Obama administration. In that position, Joe couldn’t legally possess those documents. The Department of Justice appointed a special counsel to review these breaches. White House Press Secretary Karine Grey Poupon is incapable of handling questions about the crisis, which is now an all-press corps effort. It’s no longer a conservative media topic—it’s a national concern because the Democrats made it so last summer. Biden said he takes the handling of such state secrets seriously.

To complicate matters, you have a slew of Democratic Party operatives who realize that Karine can’t do the job here, suggesting that the White House appoint a designated spokesperson for all things related to this classified document circus.

Biden's Document Downfall

...Guess they were giving Biden time to cover his tracks. But no matter as still certain things do not add up with the first being why did it take all this time for Joe Biden to “close up shop” so to speak. Could it simply be that he's arrogant enough to think that he'd never get caught being in possession of “classified documents”...even Joe Biden can't be that foolish. And the second thing and probably paramount above all is the fact that there is an interesting time frame gap that could make the issue of President Trump's document woes actually pale in comparison.

Let's start with the fact that the office Biden used to conduct his business until April 2019 was still under construction throughout the entirety of 2017 the very year he left office as vice president, and it was not completed nor opened for occupancy/business until February 2018. And yet from mid-2018 until April 2019, we see a 13-month gap from the time Biden left office in January 2017 until he and the documents moved into his new office. So where were these documents during that time? Wyoming legislators propose bill to phase out EVs by 2035

Lawmakers fear EVs will demolish fossil fuel industries in Wyoming, leading to higher unemployment

Wyoming legislators are pushing a bill in Cheyenne that could phase out electric vehicles by 2035, to protect a state economy largely fueled by gas and oil.

Titled, "Phasing out new electric vehicle sales by 2035," the bill is sponsored by state Republican senator Jim Anderson and supported by senators Brian Boner, Ed Cooper and Dan Dockstader, as well as state House Representatives Donald Burkhart and Bill Henderson, also Republicans.

Legislators say oil and gas production has "long been one of Wyoming’s proud and valued industries," which has created countless jobs and contributed to the state’s economy.

The bill stresses the importance of gas-powered vehicles as they enable industries and businesses in the state to engage in commerce and the transportation of goods and resources. Read more and se video here.

Such a Bill on 'White Supremacy' Could Only Come From a Member Like Sheila Jackson Lee

Last week, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) introduced a bill that was so absurd it had people asking if it was real. As evidenced by its page on congress.gov, and also given the kind of member that Jackson Lee is, it is in fact real.

The bill in question, H.R. 61, also known as the "Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023," seeks to "amend title 18, United States Code, to expand the scope of hate crimes." It would criminalize the "conspiracy to commit white supremacy," that is directed against non-white people.

This includes "inspir[ing]" or influencing people to commit such a crime based on having "published material advancing white supremacy, white supremacist ideology, antagonism based on “replacement theory”, or hate speech that vilifies or is otherwise directed against any non-White person or group."
