Even Democrats Are Tired of Biden's Border Crisis

The Biden administration has given the green light to pick up building a section of former President Trump's border wall as illegal immigration sees no point in slowing down. 

President Joe Biden's Department of Homeland Security finally caved and agreed to close the border barrier gaps in Arizona that pose many security challenges for Border patrol. 

"After many months of pushing," Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz) announced the first step to fixing the crisis at the southern border along his state lines has been secured. 

You know things are bad when even a Democrat is calling on his own party to do something that shouldn't have been a problem in the first place.

US economy enters technical recession after growth tumbles 0.9% in the second quarter

The U.S. economy shrank in the spring for the second consecutive quarter, meeting the criteria for a so-called technical recession, as raging inflation and higher interest rates forced consumers and businesses to pull back on spending. 

Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, shrank by 0.9% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from April through June, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of the data on Thursday. Refinitiv economists expected the report to show the economy had expanded by 0.5%. 

Economic output already fell over the first three months of the year, with GDP tumbling 1.6%, the worst performance since the spring of 2020, when the economy was still deep in the throes of the COVID-induced recession. Read more and see video here.

We’ll all need some opiates today. The GDP report expects to show that we’ve experienced two consecutive quarters of economic contraction. That’s a recession. Joe Biden’s team has deployed the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ protocol by denying we’re in the financial toilet. That’s the go-to for liberals when something doesn’t go their way; just deny it exists. As many have said for years, liberalism is a mental disorder. As the Biden White House deploys countermeasures and spin, which will fail, we must also look to another critical issue today: China.

China recently fired a warning by demanding we halt the latest arms shipment to Taiwan. Joe Biden caved to such threats and urged Speaker Nancy Pelosi to postpone her trip. Congressional Republicans and Democrats told Joe to shove it on that one. If all goes wrong, and by recent history, it should be nothing short of a disaster, the nation suffered a one-two punch today.

Democrats in the House of Representatives took both their opposition to law enforcement and their support for a lawless border to a new low on Tuesday evening when they blocked consideration of a mere resolution expressing Congress’ support for the heroic border patrol agents who are fighting to keep America safe — despite the chaos caused by Biden’s border crisis and baseless smears from his administration.

The resolution from GOP congressman Michael Guest of Mississippi is simple:

Expressing continued support for all U.S. Border Patrol agents who carry out the important mission of securing our borders.

China targeted Federal Reserve employees in an attempt to undermine American monetary policy: Senate report

The Chinese government has targeted the Federal Reserve in an effort to undermine American monetary policy since at least 2013, according to a report released Tuesday by Republicans on the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. 

The report detailed the actions of several Federal Reserve employees known as the "P-Network," whose foreign travel patterns and academic backgrounds raised concerns internally. 

One of these employees was detained four times during a 2019 trip to Shanghai as Chinese officials "threatened the individual’s family unless the individual provided them with economic information and assistance." 

Other Federal Reserve employees also had "close ties" to the People’s Bank of China, Chinese academic organizations, and the state-owned Xinhua News Agency, according to the report. Read more and see video here.
