Here’s who’s really leading Iran with supreme leader MIA and top commanders killed in strikes

Seventeen days — that’s how long the latest leader of Iran lasted.

Ali Larijani just became the de facto head of the oppressive Islamic regime after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed by Israeli missiles from space on Feb. 28,

Larijani was killed Tuesday in targeted strikes that also took out the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ brutal Basij militia.

They are just the latest hardline leaders killed since the start of the war. Others include the head of Iran’s National Defense Council, the commander of the IRGC, the defense minister and the intelligence chief.

Since then, Iran’s clerics elected Khamenei’s “probably gay” son Mojtaba Khamenei as the new supreme leader — but he’s not been seen in public since the strike that killed his father, wife and son.

Trump’s fiery response to NATO allies over Strait of Hormuz: ‘They will do nothing for us’                                        Emily Goodin / NEW YORK POST 

President Trump put NATO allies on notice Tuesday after they shunned his request for assistance in keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for international shipping.

Trump, both publicly and on social media, lashed out at European allies – including France and the UK – for their refusal to help and implied their defiance would have broader repercussions for the entire alliance.

“It’s certainly something that we should think about,” he told reporters in the Oval Office when asked if he would remove the United States from NATO. “I don’t need Congress for that decision, as you probably know, I can make that decision myself.”

The president has never been a fan of the Cold War era alliance, complaining, since his first term in office, that its members don’t pay an equitable share of dues and are too dependent on the U.S. for protection. 

“I’m very disappointed in NATO, very disappointed,” he said. “We spend trillions of dollars on NATO. Think of it, trillions over the years, many trillions of dollars. It’s one of the reasons we have deficits.” Read more, see X, maps and video here.

...And it's been five decades with those now whining having suddenly found their voices...but it's only because President Trump (and of course Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu) have become heroes of sorts. And so, as if on cue, and not unexpectedly, we hear anti-war chants here at home...mostly but not all being Democrat voices suddenly starting to scream fowl.

Sen. John Fetterman Supports Trump and Blasts Media for Their Coverage of the New Ayatollah

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has joined President Donald Trump in calling upon the nations of the world in the American effort to secure the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping route that supplies Gulf state oil to much of the world. He also eviscerated the liberal media for their unwillingness to probe the Iranians over their lack of clarity on the state of their leadership.

"I largely agree with what the President said—that Iran has essentially been defeated. Why don’t the Western media just demand that Iran provide proof of life of the Ayatollah? Because I think the Iranians are doing kind of like a Weekend at Ayatollah’s and they are trying to pretend that this guy is functional or even alive at this point. I think we just call them out and realize that they’re a nation that’s been effectively defeated and they don’t have any leadership. They’re unwilling to even provide proof to refute that. Israel Has Plans for 3 Weeks of War as Airstrikes Pound Iran

Israel said on Monday it has detailed plans for a further three weeks of war as its military pounded sites across Iran overnight, while Iranian drone attacks temporarily shut Dubai airport and hit a key oil facility in the United Arab Emirates.

The U.S.-Israeli war on Iran is now entering its third week, with no clear end in sight, shutting down the key Strait of Hormuz through which 20% of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas flow, pushing up oil prices and raising fears of a renewed spike in global inflation.

President Donald Trump on Sunday called for a coalition of nations to help reopen the vital shipping route and warned that the NATO alliance faces a "very bad" future if its members fail to come to Washington's aid.

In a briefing on Monday, Israeli military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani told reporters that there are detailed operational plans for the war with Iran in place for the next three weeks, along with additional plans extending further ahead.

The military has framed its objectives as limited to weakening Iran's capacity to threaten Israel by striking ballistic missile infrastructure, nuclear facilities, and the security apparatus.
