Just a Thought

This thought below is my (Diane Sori), thought  alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com

[[[ This is my thought on a meme that was posted this morning on FB. Simply put, ALL DeSantis said is factually true, but Mr. "Art of the Deal" obviously does NOT know the difference between real estate and construction business deals and the "business of the government."

It also shows why Florida's Ron DeSantis, the governor of the freest and most economically successful state in our country today...should be the Republican presidential nominee in 2028, as he also knows well that all the Trump "paper shifted monies" must be shifted back to where they rightfully belong.

In fact, history itself has shown that successful governors in having dealt with their state's economy actually make the best presidents. How so...because they have "hands on"  experience on how to actually apply economic success to their governance, and thus can transfer their success over to running the nation's economy, as opposed to those whose successful business deals are solely profit driven.

And while there is absolutely nothing wrong with that in the private sector, when it translates over into what I believe to be an attempt to "buy votes," then I say, "Houston, we again have a problem…the same problem we have regarding Iran…no need to name yet again the obvious name," at least dear reader I hope not. ]]]

NASA spacecraft discovers huge new crater on the moon
Associated Press

Scientists have discovered a crater on the moon that’s bigger than the Roman Colosseum and is the result of a powerful impact two years ago that initially went undetected.

The steep-sided hole — about 728 feet across and up to 141 feet deep — is the solar system’s biggest known impact crater carved out in recent times.

Such a large-scale event is estimated to occur only once every 132 years, researchers said, making this a treasure trove of information as NASA prepares to build a base for astronauts on the moon.

“This event constitutes a statistically rare, effectively once-in-a-lifetime observation,” the scientists wrote in one of two studies appearing on the subject Wednesday in the journal Science Advances.

The moon strike escaped real-time detection by telescopes on Earth and in space.

LRO’s wide-angle images were not identified in the crush of data until August 2025.

The spacecraft gathered more detailed pictures last fall, followed by confirmation of the discovery early this year. Read more, and see photos here.

Just a Thought

This thought below is my {Diane Sori) thought alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com

[[[ Earlier today I posted this on some social media sites: "If...and I only say 'if'...the feds raise the interest rate today...which would be the first raise in three years...with the announcement coming at 2pm EST...then chances are that we on the Republican side can kiss the midterms bye-bye. Why so...because an interest rate hike...even a small hike...would raise the cost of living for tens of millions of Americans, thus sending Trump's current economic policies straight into the toilet...as if his ridiculously high tariffs didn't already raise consumer prices enough. So, the best we can realistically hope for is that the rate at least remains steady, or that shock of all shocks, that said rate drops even a minuscule amount. For many Americans that would surely help them a lot, and as a possible added bonus help save the midterms for our Republican side. At 2pm EST we will know the answer one way or another."

And here now is what I posted the minute the rate number was announced: "BREAKING NOW...  Interest rates are going UP...yes UP... 1/4 of a point!!! We can now officially kiss the midterms bye-bye! The American people get screwed yet again courtesy of the first hike in 3-years, and it's on Trump's watch!!! And by the way, another raise in the interest rate is expected by year's end."

And here is a response I posted to one of my reader's comment, "A BIG part of this belongs to Trump as he was too busy trying to make deals with terrorists and make everything about oil than he was about working on the American economy! Oh how the Democrats must be celebrating "

And might I also add that I believe that the problem since day one has been that "Mr. Art of the Deal"...as in President Trump...never really understood that the "business of government" is vastly different than real estate and construction business deals he was good at making. And so "We the American" people...are again on the losing end...so it's probably bye-bye midterms and maybe 2028 as well...that is unless some major changes are made starting like right now!" ]]]

US military shares dramatic footage of operation to save injured airman shot down in Iran
Michael Sinkewicz / Fox News / NEW YORK POST

The U.S. military released dramatic new video on Tuesday showing parts of one of the largest combat search-and-rescue operations in its history, including the moment elite Air Force pararescue operators reached a badly injured American airman stranded deep inside Iran.

The pilot, known as Dude44 Alpha, and the backseat weapons systems officer, Dude44 Bravo, ejected from the aircraft and landed miles apart, leaving both stranded inside Iran.

While Dude44 Alpha was rescued after a little more than six hours, Dude44 Bravo suffered a broken back, arm and shoulder after a damaged parachute led to a hard landing.

He remained stranded for nearly two days before US forces reached him.

The newly released video shows US military helicopters searching for Bravo as American forces worked to locate and recover him.

Just Another Thought

This opinion piece is my opinion alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com
[[[ There were some very interesting developments reported today in the New York Post relating to the fact that our war with Iran has led to a shortage of key munitions, which has in turn exposed “bottlenecks” in the defense industry,” and that's per a 44-page document released on Monday by the War Department’s Office of Inspector General. And these shortages include “production of solid rocket motors, the availability of high-grade explosives and propellants and the recruitment of skilled manufacturing labor.”

Also in said report...a report that was congressionally mandated...was the fact that Iran's attacks on U.S. airbases and military installations were way more severe and damaging than was first reported, and that American diplomatic facilities in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE also received damages to a tune of over $184 million dollars.

This report came out after President Trump had posted on “Truth Social” that, “I’ve just received a Report that the United States is producing more Exquisite and Elite Weapons than at any time in our History.”

Interesting I'd say as I tend to believe a 44-page report...replete with required documentation...than a one line ego-driven sentence reported on Trump's very own social media platform. And I especially believe said report even more so after Israel also reported today that Iran holds over nine tons of nuclear material...which includes 440 kilograms of enriched uranium “equivalent to more than 10 nuclear devices”... outside of IAEA safeguard, as per Israeli Atomic Energy Commission Director-General Moshe Edri.

Houston” to say we still have a (Trump) problem puts it mildly indeed. ]]]
