[[[ Earlier today I posted this on some social media sites: "If...and I only say 'if'...the feds raise the interest rate today...which would be the first raise in three years...with the announcement coming at 2pm EST...then chances are that we on the Republican side can kiss the midterms bye-bye. Why so...because an interest rate hike...even a small hike...would raise the cost of living for tens of millions of Americans, thus sending Trump's current economic policies straight into the toilet...as if his ridiculously high tariffs didn't already raise consumer prices enough. So, the best we can realistically hope for is that the rate at least remains steady, or that shock of all shocks, that said rate drops even a minuscule amount. For many Americans that would surely help them a lot, and as a possible added bonus help save the midterms for our Republican side. At 2pm EST we will know the answer one way or another."

 

And here now is what I posted the minute the rate number was announced: "BREAKING NOW...  Interest rates are going UP...yes UP... 1/4 of a point!!! We can now officially kiss the midterms bye-bye! The American people get screwed yet again courtesy of the first hike in 3-years, and it's on Trump's watch!!! And by the way, another raise in the interest rate is expected by year's end."

 

And here is a response I posted to one of my reader's comment, "A BIG part of this belongs to Trump as he was too busy trying to make deals with terrorists and make everything about oil than he was about working on the American economy! Oh how the Democrats must be celebrating "                                    

 

And might I also add that I believe that the problem since day one has been that "Mr. Art of the Deal"...as in President Trump...never really understood that the "business of government" is vastly different than real estate and construction business deals he was good at making. And so "We the American" people...are again on the losing end...so it's probably bye-bye midterms and maybe 2028 as well...that is unless some major changes are made starting like right now!" ]]]

[[[ With all the "issues" revolving around Trump's handling...or should I say mishandling...of the Iran War, I find it interesting that he took time and focus off said war to jet over to Ireland to put his two cents worth into the Ireland "reunification" issue...a long standing Irish issue that he really had no business butting into. Why so...because "reunification" is an internal Irish governmental issue, thus it has NO real bearing on our country whatsoever. And even if Trump were to put said issue aside, the fact remains that Ireland does NOT support our or Israel's war with Iran, so really what was the point of his going there during this time of war.

 

Remember, Ireland is no friend to our ally Israel what with their ongoing trade and economic boycott of Israel, along with their having aligned themselves with the so-called "Palestinian cause,"  Also, know as fact, that during WWII Ireland remained "neutral" throughout the entirety of the war...says a lot now doesn't it. But in either case please know that I am NOT talking about the Irish people, but about their long standing government policies.

 

So instead of Trump's jetting off here and there, wouldn't it be a much better idea for him to stay put and keep focus on the war at hand, and do what even he knows really needs to be done...and I do NOT mean to keep trying to make "deals" with the enemy. And maybe then the current and growing fracture within the Republican Party...a fracture caused directly by his handling of said war along with all its negative economic ramifications still being felt here at home...would finally start to heal...heal maybe not in time to save the midterms...but heal enough to save 2028's presidential election. [[[ So now Trump is pledging a 5K "payout" to every U.S. adult if...and notice the word 'if'...Republicans win the midterms (as in both the House and Senate) so he can "finish the job." However, I see this as his trying to buy votes...making this maneuver as bad as the Democrats promising "free stuff" to illegals in exchange for their votes.

This is NOT...in my opinion...a "little incentive" as Trump and those orbiting around him call it...it would take a lot more than 5K to fix the financial crisis many more Americans than not find themselves in today. Simply, a 5K what I call "bribe" cannot undo all of Trump's broken economic promises or even help to win a war we are still far from winning. And by the way, whomever dreamed up this PR stunt has made a mockery of our Constitution and our already problematic election system. ]]]

[[[ Whether some want to hear it or not, what I post here is fully documented and verified. I start by saying that Trump said these things and more yesterday during a Long Island rally for Republican candidates in the gubernatorial and congressional elections in New York State. 

 

“After we finish defeating Iran, which is being very badly defeated — pretty soon I’ll be declaring the Hormuz Strait a territory of the United States." So I guess Trump now thinks he can negate international maritime law!

 

Also at the rally, Trump acknowledging the economic effects the war has had here at home. Trump said that ensuring Iran could not build a nuclear weapon was worth paying “a tiny little bit more for your gasoline," adding that “When you have to pay a little bit more, you’re at $4. It’s okay,” and “I’ll never apologize. I did the right thing.”

 

Folks, that's $4 for REGULAR...imagine what PREMIUM, HIGH TEST, and DIESEL will cost!!!

 

And what happened to last summer's taking out Iran's nuclear plants...didn't that end their nuclear programs...what they want and desire now are two different things...or is the reality of NOT having finished the job last summer as Israel wanted to do now coming back to haunt? To me it seems so...as Iran has yet to be defeated for defeat and a win means the enemy has surrendered! Simply, as of today, Iran has not surrendered or even come close to surrendering, and possibly never will!

 

Trump really needs to learn to shut his mouth and tone down his misplaced rhetoric and overinflated ego, because if not we Republicans could well lose not just the November midterms, but in 2028 as well...a truly scary thought indeed. ]]]

[[[ Just to let some who criticize my stance on how Trump is handling this war, please know I've been in this fight against radical islam since soon after 9/11...I'm no newbie to the understanding of whom and what we are really fighting against. 

 

The first thing I learned was that the word 'surrender' only appears in islam in regards to faith...'surrender' to the faith of islam that is. And when one's reality is locked into that must be accepted concept alone, those who are now our enemy will willingly fight to the death even if it means the lives of their own people are to be forfeited.

 

The regime is indeed playing President Trump because they know he does NOT understand islam nor the islamic mindset, and they are using that to their advantage even while we go "boom" and "flex military muscle" here and there for they are doing what their faith commands them do...die instead of even considering surrendering.

 

Simply, this war lingers on, because President Trump does not yet grasp how hard it is to win a war against a mindset so alien to us that the realities of war from our end are being made to the best of our western mindset ability. We should be trying to understand the mindset, actions, and consequences of how this enemy thinks and operates. Until that happens I truly believe this war will linger on well past the midterms which is what Iran probably has wanted all along, and for what should be obvious reasons. ]]]

This is a letter from a US army major (retired) who knows well the situation in Iran, his name is Major Ed Coet. 

  

OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT TRUMP

SUBJECT: PLEASE PAY ATTENTION PRESIDENT TRUMP!!

 

Dear Mr President,

 

We 100% MAGA patriots and longtime “Pro-Trump” supporters are more than just a little bit miffed visa-vie your current Iran policy. We are NOT upset about your attacking Iran so let’s be clear about that. You did the right thing. History will show you did the needed thing as well. We supported and continue to support your attack on Iran for all the reasons that you gave. You saved us and the world from a potential nuclear holocaust. For that we should all be forever grateful. What is upsetting us is your persistent never ending misleading us on the war after the first few weeks since the initial attack. So much so that we have to now wonder if you are deliberately lying to us and if so, why? 

 

First you told us that the war would be over in a few weeks, and we believed you. Then you told us it would be over in a few more weeks, then in another month, and we believed you. Then it was a few more weeks and again we believed you. Then you negotiated an extremely fragile “ceasefire” and then you extended that cease fire twice to achieve deals that you convinced us were about to be achieved but never were. All the while each ceasefire was repeatedly violated by Iran.
