Arizona flooded by emails on Obama eligibility
'It should be an honor to show their proof'
As Arizona officials contemplate whether or not Barack Obama’s name will appear on a ballot this year, the state is being flooded with emails from concerned citizens urging the attorney general to make sure the president is constitutionally eligible to hold the office.
Secretary of State Ken Bennett is giving news media a glimpse of the more than 1,200 messages sent to his office since Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio announced March 1 probable cause exists that Obama’s birth certificate released in 2011 is a forgery.
The station says legislative district 4 director Jim Keller sent Bennett a message suggesting he precludeObama’s name from the ballot, saying Arpaio’s probe proves Obama does not meet the qualifications to be president.
KTAR withheld the names of private citizens who sent emails, but a sampling of their messages to Bennett include:
- “The question of Obama’s legitimacy to be president is too compelling. He waited too long to produce a birth certificate which adds to the questionable document. Please remove him from the presidential ballot.”
- “I am a ‘natural born citizen.’ I am concerned about all elected officials being honest about their U.S. citizenship. Investigating any that are questionable should not be considered an invasion to their rights, but should be an honor to show their proof of citizenship.”
- “If you as our secretary of state do not have the courage to write a simple letter to the DNC … will you have the courage to govern Arizona if you one day become our governor? Over 3,000 people may have second thoughts about you in your bid for re-election or a bid for the governor’s office over a simple letter.”
- “It is with great surprise and disappointment that you are reluctant to follow through with the substantial evidence showing that the president of our country is not qualified to hold this position due to his fraudulent documentation. Not only is one of his documents fraudulently manufactured, but TWO OF HIS DOCUMENTS ARE fraudulently presented! WE HAVE TO STAND UP FOR THE CONSTITUTION AND FOLLOW THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY! If we do not uphold our Constitution, there will be nothing holding our country together. Elected officials are elected to uphold the Constitution and the laws of our country, both Federally and locally. We realize there are many issues taking elected officials attention at this time, but none is as important as upholding our Constitution.”
He wrote:
With all due respect, the MCSO investigation has not proven anything other than raised probable cause that the birth certificate posted on the Whitehouse website “may be” a forgery.
The next lawful step would be for the Sheriff’s office to turn their findings over to the County Attorney for prosecution. Evidence would be brought on both sides and a judge should issue a decision. Whether or not that happens, if Hawaii can’t or won’t provide verification of the President’s birth certificate, I will not put his name on the ballot.
I can tell from the tone and language of your letters that the only acceptable outcome for you is that his name not be on the ballot, period. That may be what happens, but under my watch, it won’t happen based on opinions, petitions, probability or pledges to support or oppose me in the 2014 Governor’s race. My oath of office is to uphold the Constitution and laws of our State and country, and I’m going to do that by following the law. I look forward to continuing to work this issue under those parameters. Otherwise, I will respectfully agree to disagree.
Notice that he has not even asked to see Romney’s birth certificate? Odd that he didn’t, isn’t it?
ReplyDeleteOh, and by the way, the proof that Obama’s birth certificate is in the DOH files in Hawaii has been available for years. Bennett is just being lazy in not getting it himself.
All the Sec of State has to do is send someone to Hawaii (or go himself, a free trip at taxpayer expense), send that person to the DOH, have her or him ask for the volumes of “Index Data” for births in 1961–—and, guess what, the record that Obama’s birth certificate is in the file is PUBLIC information. It is public information that has been available for years.

Now Hawaii has provided the confirmation AGAIN. This must be the fourth or fifth time:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/05/23/hawaii-verifies-obama-birth-records-to-arizona-2129696754/
Gee, what took them so long! I guess they had to find people good enough to forge yet another phony birth certificate!
ReplyDeleteStates have privacy laws regulating who can get information. In Hawaii's case the law requires that the information will be given to government agencies but only if it is:
ReplyDelete"A governmental agency or organization who for a legitimate government purpose maintains and needs to update official lists of persons in the ordinary course of the agency’s or organization’s activities."
Bennett had to show that that was the case, and apparently he did, but it took time.
Hawaii will not give the document or a copy of it or any information about it to the Sheriff's posse because they have not shown that they satisfy the requirements.
However, the Sheriff---like everyone else--can get the public Index Data, which has been available for years and which clearly shows that there is a birth certificate file for Obama. This confirms what the officials said in the past, and what they just said to Bennett and the birth notices in the newspapers and the witness who wrote home.
The latest confirmation went further and confirmed each of the points that Bennett requested to be checked, one being that Obama was born in Kapiolani Hospital.

Whatever...I and millions of others still don't believe it as too much time intervenes between requests and showing the documentation. If there is nothing to hide just release the original and be done with it. That is something that still has NOT been done.
ReplyDeleteObama has released the short form birth certificate and the long form birth certificate but he cannot release the original because it is not his and he has no control over it. Hawaii itself cannot release the original, and it only can send copies of the original to certain listed people--one being the person herself or himself of course.
ReplyDeleteYou and a few others (the "millions" is also a birther fantasy based on birther polls) may continue to believe other birthers who lie about the birth certificate being forged. But the law is that every state must honor the official documents of the other states (Full Faith and Credit Clause), and Hawaii has provided official birth certificates showing that Obama was born there and repeatedly confirmed the facts on them. Moreover, there were birth notices in the Hawaii newspapers in 1961--and the notices were only sent to the papers by the DOH of Hawaii at the time.
There is no evidence that Obama's mother traveled out of the USA in 1961--and it would be extremely unlikely that she did. There IS evidence that Obama was born in Hawaii.
Sorry but you are so wrong! I have my original birth certificate and so does EVERYBODY I know! You need the original for many things in this country like a passport, a driver's license, voter registration, social security card issue, etc. Everything shown by Obama is a copy and NOT even an embossed noterized copy to boot! If I have my original and like I said so does everybody I know...where is his ORIGINAL EMBOSSED NOTERIZED birth certificate...show me that and then maybe I'll believe he was born here but until then...NO WAY!!!
ReplyDeleteNo. You have a photostatic copy probably on security paper of the original birth certificate in the files. The original is the one in the files.
ReplyDeleteThe thing that you need for the driver's license, social security, etc--is the official physical copy, which you have, and which Obama has too. Get the difference? The original is the one in the files. You have the official physical copy.
If you consider the on that you have to be the original, then Obama has already shown his original, the official copy, twice--both the short form and the long-form. He has shown both the physical paper copies and put images on line. It was passed around in the White House press room. One reporter stated that she had felt the seal.
So, he has done it--and there are plenty of witnesses to the physical copies. FactCheck took great photos of the front and the back of the short form--which is the one that you use in Hawaii these days for the drivers license etc.
Guess who hasn't shown his birth certificate? Mitt Romney. Maybe if he shows his birth certificate, I'll believe that he was born here, but until then...NO WAY!!!
Sorry but you are still wrong. I and others do NOT have photostat copies...we have the originals. And what's worse is that you believe Obama was born here but that Romney is NOT eligible...You must be either a sheeple or kool-ade drinker for sure.
ReplyDeleteRe: "We have the originals."
ReplyDeleteIf you want to call them the originals then go right ahead. What then do you call the document that is in the files?
IF you call your birth certificate an original, then Obama has two of them, two originals---short form and long form---both sent to him by Hawaii, both with the Hawaii official seal on them on the back, both on security paper. The fact that he has them was confirmed by (1) Hawaii officials saying that Hawaii sent them to him; (2) his showing both the physical copies and the images of them online.
The fact that Hawaii has the Obama birth certificate and thus was able to send short-form and long-form copies of it to Obama was confirmed (1) by the officials of both parties; (2) by the birth notices in the 1961 newspapers (which were at the time only sent to the papers by the DOH and only for births in Hawaii; and (3) by the Index Data.
Romney has not even shown his birth certificate.
I am NOT going to argue this with you any more as I do NOT argue with kool-ade drinkers or sheeple as it is a total waste of time. And until you use your real name you have NO credibility with me.
ReplyDeleteThe facts remain that Obama has shown his birth certificate and Romney has not shown his birth certificate. And the facts on Obama's birth certificate have been confirmed by officials of different parties, notices in the newspapers and Index Data. And, Romney has not even shown his.
ReplyDeleteAnd the notion of Obama's mother late in pregnancy traveling to from Hawaii Kenya in 1961 is absurd.
Whatever...
ReplyDeleteThe notion of Obama's mother, late in pregnancy, traveling alone (WND has shown that Obama senior was in Hawaii on August 4, 1961) from Hawaii where there are good hospitals, to Kenya, where there was Yellow Fever and bad hospitals, and doing so without any INS record of her leaving the USA or any record of her arriving in Kenya---is absurd. And the fact that there is a birth certificate showing that she gave birth in Kapiolani Hospital in Honolulu makes it even more absurd.
ReplyDeleteWhatever...BTW, I can punch holes in all your bloviations but I will NOT waste my time doing so with someone who does NOT have the courage to stand by their convictions and show their face and give their name. But then again what do you expect from an Obama supporter.
ReplyDeleteToday, apparently, Mitt Romney had his campaign release his birth certificate, and guess what, it is a computer-generated short-form birth certificate.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/sns-rt-us-usa-campaign-romney-birth-certificatebre84s1gf-20120529,0,5483593.story
It does not have the name of the hospital or the delivery doctor or any signatures from the doctor or the mother. The image of the document provided does not show the color of the security paper or an embossed seal, and there is a clear “void” on the document. What is Romney hiding? Why doesn't he publish the long form birth certificate? Why doesn't he publish the original birth certificate?
Would you please give it up already as you are getting very tiring!
ReplyDeleteIt's official...MITT IS IT!!! I am honored and proud to say that I supported MITT in '08 and supported him from day one now!
MITT ROMNEY all the way to Pennsylvania Avenue...bye-bye 'bama bye-bye! :)
Now give it up already, because like I said you are getting very tiring!
You have every right to support Romney, and I would fight to the death for your right to support Romney and to vote for him. But the claim that Obama was born outside of Hawaii is not necessary or even useful to that effort. It makes people think that Romney's supporters are crazy.
ReplyDeleteAlthough Romney's published birth certificate could easily have been forged, I am willing to believe that it is probably accurate. The same applies to Obama, but even more so. The facts on HIS birth certificate have been repeatedly confirmed by the officials in Hawaii, and Hawaii is a lot further from foreign countries that Michigan is.
Oh my, I am so happy that I have your permission to support Romney...what would I ever do without it (insert sarcasm here).
ReplyDeleteBut the claim that Obama was born outside of Hawaii is not necessary or even useful to that effort. It makes people think that Romney's supporters are crazy. Not to mention the fact that it is not true.
DeleteYou know what...I am tired of this conversation...so tired of it, so from now on my answer to you will be...whatever...
