Op-ed:
Documents...I don’t got no stinkin’ documents
As Eric Holder slinked off to Europe yesterday, a day after
the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee voted on the resolution to
hold him in contempt of Congress, something hit me like a ton of bricks...the real
reason why Holder refuses to turn over the documents requested.
The reason was really easy to figure out using just plain
old common sense, something it seems Chairman Darrell Issa and his committee
haven’t used or won’t use for whatever reason.
Drum roll please...and the reason is that the 80,000 documents have long
been shredded with their remnants having gone up in a poof of smoke.
Now do I mean literally shredded and gone up in smoke, maybe
yes, maybe no, but this figurative use of words also applies to hard copies, hard
drives, floppy discs, microfilm, and any and all other computer nuances,
because with today’s computer technology they are just as easy to purge and gotten
rid of as is paper copies.
When Eric Holder holds fast and furiously (just had to say it) in his refusal to turn the subpoenaed documents over
it’s NOT because he believes the committee has no legal right to them, it’s because
he can't turn them over as they no longer exist, and that in and of itself
spells GUILTY!
Holder knows it, Obama knows it, and they know ‘We the
People’ know it, but they just don't care!
Now some will attest that any and all official documents or
correspondence generated by any government employee, or by anyone under
government contract, is the property of the government and not the
individual. But I say since when do
these rules, or any rules for that matter, apply to Barack Hussein Obama and his minions. They don’t, as the rule of law that we all
must abide by goes right out the window for them.
Some will also say that even if these documents were indeed
destroyed that somewhere someone must have made a copy or two and squirreled them away (to possibly be used against them as blackmail perhaps), and to
that I say, nonsense. Obama and Holder
are both smart and clever enough to having made sure that their tracks were
completely covered.
Now, why do I think it’s a very strong possibility that
these documents no longer exist...it’s really quite simple. Common sense tells me that if someone has nothing
to hide and if that someone has definitive evidence that will clear them of a
crime, why they wouldn’t turn the documents with that proof over. They wouldn't. But if someone has something to hide, NOW
that is another story.
Eric Holder is a master of deception and stonewalling, as is
Obama, and it’s easy to see them in their arrogance thinking that if they got
rid of the evidence, there would be nothing for Issa to use against them and so
the case would fall apart. All they would
have to do is stall long enough to drag this out past the November elections,
and even if Holder was found in contempt down the road it wouldn’t matter as
Obama would just issue him a presidential pardon. Remember, in Obama’s
narcissistic love of himself world he automatically assumes he will be re-elected and
no one dare tell him otherwise, especially NOT his Attorney General who needs his protection at all costs.
As for Obama issuing that Executive Privilege to protect Holder,
what better ruse to lead the committee members off tract than to issue this
privilege. If Obama and Holder can get
Issa to continue to believe that subpoenaed documents are being withheld, then
they can divert Issa from using common sense and deductive reasoning and having
an ah-ha moment when the light bulb turns on and he says, ‘wait...there are NO
documents to be had’!
Now all this is just my opinion of course and I have no
concrete proof to back up my supposition, but my gut instinct is telling me
that I’m on to something here. But I
leave it up to the reader to decide if I’ve hit on something or not, but remember,
in Obamaland, where we all now sadly reside, any and everything is possible.

hey, it worked wonderfully for the b.c...
ReplyDeleteYeah it did, didn't it!
DeleteI agree that is why I made the comment a while back did someone pull a SANDY BURGER for those who remember how documents disappeared during the slick Willy fiasco Oh yes they went down pants, socks every possible place he could think of to get them out the door.Thank you Diane for again a great op-ed.
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome. :)
DeleteI thought I heard where someone had received the 80,000 documents and through that review determined that the 7,000 or so that were pertinent to the case, of which most are highly redacted and inelligible. I like your logic here, but I don't know if it flies with the 80,000 documents having been reviewed prior to submitting the fraction redacted. We need the 80,000 documents now, with no redaction since it appears that a smoking gun is at play with the priviledge card being played. He stepped in it, let's give it to em! Congress created the DOJ way back, and they own the department, the DOJ has no right withholding information from the Congress that they would otherwise be privy to had the DOJ never been formed; and at this point, I think a valid argument could be made that it shouldn't and is isolating Congress from their responsibilities as citizen legislators responsible to the electorate... How can they be responsible to us if they don't know what is going on? In this case or any case?
ReplyDeleteThe Committee demanded 80,000 documents and that what should have been turned over...all 80,000. If any of us withheld info demanded we'd be in jail right now. Same should go for Holder and Obama.
DeleteYa know thats a good theory .....
ReplyDeleteA D
Thanks. Common sense is what's needed with this fiasco NOT the 'dog snd pony' show that it's been.
Deleteim sorry dodge, but nobody from this sham of an administration read 80,000 documents, give me a freakin break, shred, delete and destroy is more along the motive operendous with this bunch of scumbags.....
ReplyDeleteAnd that's what I'm saying...they destroyed any and all incriminating documents.
DeleteDiane,
DeleteYou are right spot on with your estimation of the situation. How better to hide evidence than to destroy it? We now need to focus on the other crimes Obama and Holder have committed. The treason and strategic leaking of national secrets to bolster a failed regime in the minds of his voters for one. Obama's continued violation of the Constitution with his executive orders, the complete circumvention of Congress and disregard of the Supreme Court as well as blatant violation of his limited powers of office.
While I do agree we need to focus on Obama and Holder's treasonous acts against our country they still must answer for Border Agent Terry's death. They cannot be allowed to get away with murder under any circumstances!
