Op-ed:
Israel has a friend in Romney...an enemy in Obama
By: Diane Sori

You have to love it when Palestinian leaders get hot under the collar because Mitt Romney publicly stated Jerusalem to be the capital of Israel.

Hey, he’s only speaking the truth, something no one in the Obama administration will do.

During a speech in Jerusalem on Sunday, Mitt Romney stated for the entire world to hear that Jerusalem is ‘the capital of Israel.’  Immediately on hearing this, senior Palestinian official Saeb Erekat said the remark was "absolutely unacceptable.”  And then another Palestinian official chimed in and said Romney’s statement was unhelpful to peace negotiations, pointing out it "contradicted” the previous positions held by the American administration.”

As in the Obama administration...famously known for stabbing Israel in the back which makes the Palestinians quite happy.

But you know what...who cares what these men think or say, for Jerusalem is indeed the ancestral capital of the Jewish people as promised to them by God, the true living God of the Bible, and NO muslim’s words or actions will negate that.

As we all know, the fate of Jerusalem is the hot button issues delaying a peace agreement between Israel and the so-called Palestinians (who don’t really exist as they are nothing more than run-of-the-mill Arabs NO different than any other Arab).  But that point is really mute for Israel as there is NO compromise on Jerusalem no matter how much the so-called Palestinians, Barack Hussein Obama, or the Useless Nations wants there to be.

Israel desperately needs a friend in the White House and what Mitt Romney didn’t say in his speech is just as important as what he did say, and shows just what a true friend to Israel his administration will be.  Not once did Romney say the words ‘peace process;’ not once did he say ‘Palestine’ or ‘Palestinians;’ not once did he speak about a two-state solution; and not once did he say East Jerusalem will become the capital of a Palestinian state.  Mitt Romney knows that these so-called Palestinians have a home...it’s called Jordan, as it was always meant to be since Israel became the official Jewish homeland in 1948.

Remember Trans-Jordan.

And while the Obama administration’s policy has always been that Jerusalem’s fate is an issue that should respect the rights of the Palestinians (who have NO rights to Jerusalem by the way), Mitt Romney knows there will never be negotiations on Jerusalem, and the sooner Israel’s enemies, including Barack Hussein Obama, understand this, the better off everyone will be.

Now add in Romney’s remarks that the United States has “a solemn duty and a moral imperative” to stop Iran from achieving nuclear weapons capability and “Israel has a right to defend itself,” and that should leave NO doubt as to where Mitt Romney’s loyalties lie.

Mitt Romney stands decidedly behind Israel and will never waiver in that support.

Barack Hussein Obama, the man who would have NO problem seeing Israel pushed into the sea, unabashedly hates Israel.  Don’t let his photo-op smiles with Israeli officials fool you as hating Israel is part of his islamic religion.  He might try to pull the wool over some folk’s eyes but he won’t over mine as I know Barack Hussein Obama is a muslim, and like all muslims he would like nothing better than to see Israel destroyed.

So the reality for Israel is this...Israel needs a friend in the White House, a friend who will stand by her as she is surrounded by those out to destroy her.  Mitt Romney recognizes the sanctity of the state of Israel, Barack Hussein Obama does not.  And being that Jews might help determine the election they really need to understand how important it is that they vote for the man who supports their homeland and NOT for the man who talks the talk but does NOT walk the walk when it comes to Israel.

  1. The difference are there and you've nailed it Diane. History has been so mistaught that a lot of people don't even realize that "Palestine" is no even a word in the Arab language, but a designation given to the area by the Roman Empire who sought to insult Israel. The name was a mangled version of the name for one of Israel's greatest enemies: the Philistines. But since that designation stuck around through World War II, the Arabs glommed onto it as a way to create this fiction that they are some kind of nationality when they're not. Unfortunately history is not properly taught but Governor Romney knows what time it is. And if he keeps calling something what it is, our blessings will be watching him win, and winning a friend both for the United States and Israel. And as a bonus, we get to watch the socialist and Arab supporting left twist themselves into a pretzel of sanctimonious indignation!

  2. Exactly, and very well stated. In fact, it was Yassir Arafat who created the myth of there being a Palestinian people, in 1968 I believe, entitled to what is Israeli land. Romney will win because I do NOT believe for one second that Netanyahu would ever let Obama get re-elected for he knows the dire consequences that would bring. Behind the scenes is just as effective as outward support and Romney has both from BiBi Netanyahu.
