Op-ed:
The picture that says it all
By: Diane Sori

Mitt Romney hit it out of the park last night and I’m still smiling today.

No matter how the msm might try to spin last night’s debate one thing is clear...Mitt Romney won each and every round, and Barack HUSSEIN Obama was so out of his league that he wouldn’t even make eye contact with the camera proving that without his teleprompter he is indeed an ‘empty suit’ occupying an ‘empty chair.’

This first debate focused on the economy, and Mitt Romney, a hugely successful businessman, shined so bright that even most Democratic commentators where blown away.  Stressing the nation’s anemic economic growth and the 8.1% unemployment rate, both proven failures of Obama’s misguided economic policies, Romney knows the area where Obama is vulnerable and used it to full advantage.

Remembering I’m sure Obama’s 2009 words that he would be held accountable if he didn't fix the economy in his first term, "If I don't have this done in three years, then there's going to be a one-term proposition," well guess what...these words have now come back to haunt him thanks to Romney’s stellar performance based on his knowledge and experience.

Knowledge and experience...qualities a president needs...qualities sorely missing these past four years.

"You raise taxes...you kill jobs."  "Regulations are needed for an economy to work but NOT too much regulation...excessive regulation is harmful to the economy."  Mitt continued none-stop slams proving Obama doesn’t even understand basic economics 101.

"When you took office 35 million were on food stamps...42 million now are on food stamps" Mitt threw back at Obama when he tried saying people are improving under his economic policies.

Sure doesn’t look like improvement to me.

"This is an election about the course of America" Romney said opening the door to nail Obama on many more of his weaknesses and economic failures.  "Now, I'm concerned that we're on the path that's just been unsuccessful. The president has a view very similar to the one he had when he ran for office four years ago, that spending more, taxing more, regulating more, if you will, trickle-down government would work. That's not the right answer for America."

And so Mitt Romney continued his NO holds barred fact based debate performance, filled with both passion and compassion for those Americans who are hurting under this president’s policies...with a passion unseen in Barack HUSSEIN Obama, who was not only reduced to stuttering and stumbling but who clearly lacked focus on the questions asked.

Obama’s Achilles heel was exposed last night for all to see as it was obvious that Barack HUSSEIN Obama was clearly going through teleprompter withdrawal.  Constantly looking down to his notes and to moderator Jim Lahrer for help as Romney kept nailing him over and over by including in his answers as many specifics as the limited time would allow, Romney was right on the mark each and every time in ways Obama was not able to be being teleprompter and scripted free.

And so the Romney steamroller continued as healthcare and Medicare came into focus.

Romney pointed out the differences between RomneyCare and ObamaCare, while Obama tried to tie them together but failed miserably. "ObamaCare will cost each family $2500 more than before...20 million people will lose their insurance next year if ObamaCare is implemented...Cutting Medicare to fund ObamaCare is a mistake...Medicare must be there for the long term...NO changes to those currently on Medicare or nearing Medicare...Let's get competition into the Medicare world.”

Blow after blow after blow as Obama seemed to retreat into his own world as he was clearly ‘shocked and awed’ by the man he and his campaign had dismissed as no real competition at all.

Continuing on..."I will NOT cut our commitment to our military" Romney said, very critical as Obama has cut our defense budget to levels bordering on the dangerous.  Clearly sending a message to Obama that he will be on the attack when it comes to the foreign policy debate, Romney knows he now has Obama on the run.

In his closing statement, looking and sounding very presidential, Mitt Romney said, “A vote for Barack Obama is a vote for four more years of economic stagnation and weak foreign policy; as well as higher taxes, debt, and healthcare costs.  A vote for Mitt Romney is a vote for real reforms that will bring a real recovery, including 12 million new jobs, tax relief for the middle class, better healthcare at lower costs, a balanced budget, and leadership for an American century.”

And so it shall be if America gets it right this time and votes for substance over surface generated media flash, because after four years under Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s stewardship, the bottom line remains that the unemployment rate is still above 8% and the national debt now tops $16 trillion.  Obama had to make the case to 'We the People' that his policies were the right ones for America without just saying it could have been worse, and last night he failed miserably on all accounts.

Debate one goes clearly to Mitt Romney and NO Democratic spin meister can with a straight face say otherwise.

And I'm still smiling...

  2. Stopped at my local Coffee hole convenience store this morning, the young Black girl behind the counter said Good Morning, I bet you are feeling good today, I said yeah pretty good, a women customer at the register asked something and I heard the clerk say He is a big time conservative, to which the other customer said so he believes those lies from last night, and the girl at the register no, I think he supports Romney, I thought the woman was gonna say something bad, but she just gathered her stuff and shouted OBAMA OBAMA as she walked out. We both looked at each other and just chuckled.

    1. It's still said that most blacks will still vote for Obama simply because he's black and NOT because of what he brings to the table...which is NOTHING but failure.

  4. 'U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said yesterday in Kazakhstan that the sanctions can be lifted immediately if the regime meets its nuclear obligations'...the fix is in...but only if this is true, which BTW I doubt.
