Obama’s Internal Revenue Service problems are getting bigger, as more and more politicians are asking for a congressional investigation of the IRS, this after the story broke that conservative organizations were specifically targeted for auditing.

Florida Senator Marco Rubio, who  joins Congressman Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in calling for an investigation of the IRS, and is also asking that President Obama press the IRS commissioner to resign from office.

In a letter to Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, Rubio calls these actions as a “direct assault on our constitution.”
It is clear the IRS cannot operate with even a shred of the American people’s confidence under the current leadership. Therefore, I strongly urge that you and President Obama demand the IRS Commissioner’s resignation, effectively immediately. No government agency that has behaved in such a manner can possibly instill any faith and respect from the American public.- Sen. Marco Rubio
Chances are that the IRS commissioner will step down, but the questions still remain as to how far this government overreach has gone. Its interesting to note that liberal pro-Obama organizations like Media Matters and  MoveOn.org, were not part of the Tea party audit ‘dragnet.’
