Israel’s Culture Minister: “Thank God Obama Is Finishing His Term”
Obama has made his condemnation for Israel clear, which was further reiterated this past week when the U.S. abstained from a vote on a UN resolution which makes Israeli settlements illegal. Thus, like many of us, Miri Regev, Israel’s Culture Minister is expressing gratitude for Obama’s numbered days in the White House.
“Thank God that Obama is finishing his term,” said Regev in an interview with Army Radio on Sunday.
“In Obama’s world view we have moved closer to peace, but during his term we have just gotten further from it. There have been more and more terror attacks in Berlin, Orlando and yesterday in Turkey, what does any of this have to do with the [Israeli] settlements? It just cannot be the case that this is the way the President of the United States, who thank God is finishing his term, treats the State of Israel, as the weak link in the Middle East.”Regev’s critique of Obama comes just one week after the Obama Administration betrayed our closest ally during the holy celebration of Hanukkah after Obama authorized Samantha Power, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations to abstain from voting, allowing for the anti-Israel UN resolution to pass 14-0.
