Today is National Anthem Day
By: Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / Right Side Patriots on American Political Radio

On September 14th, 1814, Francis Scott Key witnessed the bombardment of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812 and was moved to write a poem, that would later provide the lyrics to our nation’s anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner”. It was on this day, March 3rd, in 1931, that the song official became the National Anthem. God Bless and protect our men and women in uniform for without them we would not be the "land of the free and the home of the brave."
