“We have to stop the war in Gaza immediately. We have to negotiate immediately," he said.
"Instead of giving in to Hamas' ransom demands, we should be united with those who want real peace and get the hostages back," Trump said, adding that "We can't get one or two; we need everyone, dead or alive."
The US president also slammed European countries that recognized a Palestinian state earlier this week.
“As if to encourage continued conflict, some of this body is seeking to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state. The rewards would be too great for Hamas terrorists for their atrocities," Trump stated.
He also stated that Iran can never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons."My position is very simple: The world's number one sponsor of terror cannot be allowed to possess the most dangerous weapon," Trump said.
Trump slams Europe, UN in UNGA address
Trump stated that since his first address six years ago, "the guns of war have shattered the peace that I forged.""Four years of weakness, lawlessness, and radicalization have done that," Trump said, adding that he was creating "the golden age of America."
Trump also slammed the United Nations as a construct, claiming that the UN just creates more problems than it solves.
"What is the purpose of the United Nations? The UN has such tremendous potential,” he said, as reported by CNN.
“But it’s not even coming close to living up to that potential. For the most part, at least for now, all they seem to do is write a really strongly worded letter and then never follow that letter up. It’s empty words, and empty words don’t solve war.”
He also addressed his frequently stated desire to win a Nobel Peace Prize, mentioning that it was less important for him now.
“What I care about is not winning prizes, it’s saving lives."
