Just a Thought

The thought below is my thought alone, and does not necessarily represent the views of blogspot.or google.com

[[[ “You talk so much about my president, President Trump, being a humanitarian. You are a humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that, I commend you, and I thank you again.” So said Trump's Special Envoy Witkoff about Vladimir Putin's releasing of imprisoned American retired school teacher Stephen Hubbard from a Russian prison.

As most folks know by now, on Wednesday, October 21st, 74-year old retired American school teacher and US Air Force veteran Stephen Hubbard was finally released from a Russian prison. Held in Russian custody since 2022 after being arrested on charges of "fighting as a mercenary" while living in Ukraine...a totally bogus charge...saw Mr. Hubbard being sentenced in 2024 to 7-years in prison...in this case said prison was located in the Bryansk region of western Russia...after in what was a "closed court proceeding" found him guilty of said bogus charge,

Now here one must also know that while in prison Mr, Hubbard was beaten, electrically shocked, and sexually assaulted as per one Ihor Shishko, a former Ukrainian prisoner who was in jail alongside Mr. Hubbard, and who also said, “They treated us worse than animals, and more so Hubbard simply because he was an American."

Thankfully, Mr. Hubbard is now safely back on American soil, and can start the healing process alongside his family and loved ones, But what gets me about this scenario is that even after hearing the truth as to what was physically done to Mr. Hubbard, Witkoff had the unmitigated gall to call Vladimir Putin a "humanitarian." And when reporters asked President Trump about Witkoff calling Putin a "humanitarian," Trump actually seconded Witkoff's praise by saying, and doing so without hesitation,  "yes" to the question asked.

A simple "thank you" to Vladimir Putin would have been enough, but to call a callous, warmongering,  dictator a "humanitarian" crosses the line as far as I'm concerned. Both Witkoff and Trump should be ashamed of themselves for disgracefully and publicly groveling before one who is America's enemy no matter Trump's new "buddy-buddy" relationship with a man who should never be trusted nor praised. My opinion and I stand by it. ]]]                                                                                                                     Copyright @ 2026 Diane Sori / The Patriot Factor / All Rights Reserved.
