A Failed Presidency Exposed

Three and half weeks of escapism goes by way too quickly especially when it's your older son's destination wedding/vacation. But now it's time for me to get back to the real world and once again face the fact that the Democrats and their media cohorts...the very party and its propaganda arm who still refuse to acknowledge the differences between a man and a woman...continues on with the same old tired distractions from before I left. And it's all in a misguided yet ever so divisive attempt to divert our attention away from the undeniable fact that Joe Biden's presidency...his objectives, his policies, and his agenda...remains a total disaster, something we must focus on as the mid-term election draws near.

And said disaster encompasses both domestic and foreign policy issues. First, Biden's domestic disasters see soaring gas prices blatantly being manipulated to fall back down as the midterm election draws near while he ignores the basic principle of “supply and demand;” and the now 40-year high in across-the-board inflation shows no sign of abating any time soon. Couple that with continuing supply chain shortages (with baby formula supplies reported to be worse off now than they were four months ago), and sadly recession has become the new reality as the GDP fell another 0.9% in the second quarter of this year, leaving one to easily see how our economy under Joe Biden is simply, to put it mildly, a mess.

But how could it not be when the ongoing crisis at our southern border is helping to drain our government's monetary coffers what with almost two million folks with their hands out for the Democrats promised “free stuff” having crossed our border ILLEGALLY last year alone with almost that many crossing this year, to date, as I write this. And yet DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas still claims that the border is highly secure and “getting securer by the day” while border patrol agents themselves state that, “Hundreds of thousands crossing every month is not the definition of secure,” and that, “They are liars and anyone who believes them are fools.” Could not have said it any better myself.

And surely not to be forgotten are the issues of “domestic terrorism” and supposed “insurrection” lurking not so silently in the background. And while “insurrection” coupled with “domestic terrorism” truly does come in the guise of government hating, America defaming groups like Antifa and BLM, remember as fact that neither group has yet to be called to task for the rioting, looting, mayhem, murder, and the burning of American cities all done in their name, let alone their outright government subversive agenda... true “insurrection” that's willingly being overlooked by their Democrat naysayers. 

And yet we only hear the word “insurrection” in regards to the “Trump Impeachment Hearings Part 3” otherwise known as the “unfair and unbalanced” televised House January 6th hearings. And really, how can the word “insurrection” even be bantered about in regards to January 6th when no one who was arrested or tried, to date, has had the charge of “insurrection” being levied against them, especially when many who were present claimed that the Capitol police quite willingly opened the Capitol doors to let the protesters in.

Also on Biden's failed domestic front we continue to see crime figures soaring as America's streets are turning red with the blood of innocent victims what with the police still being ordered to “stand down.” And while some in the political arena are now calling for a “refunding” of the police, their voices are being drowned out by those whose hatred of the police still runs as deep as the color of their skin. It's no wonder why we need the Second Amendment now more than ever before, after all we need a means by which to defend ourselves and our families, because if the police can't or won't do it we must do it ourselves. And with the rise in gun violence coupled with the federal government acting more like the Gestapo incarnate, perpetrators of crimes are turned into heroes or victims while crimes true victims are barely given lip-service at all.

And here let's separate gun violence into two categories with the first being when a firearm is used in the process of committing a crime, like robbery for example, from that what's now referred to as “mass shootings” where killing is done for killing's sake alone. To try and take firearms away from both petty criminals and we law abiding citizens while not addressing the mental issues of those who commit mass shootings does no good at all for firearms...for guns...will not only always be gotten by those hell bent on doing bodily harm, but those of us “behind every blade of grass” will not nor must not give up our firearms willingly for to do so will lead directly to the downfall of American freedoms. Remember, it's only those of unsound mind who commit mass shootings, and besides guns themselves do not kill people...people knowingly and willingly kill people...gun free zones be damned.

And lastly on the domestic front, for this article anyway, we continue seeing both abortion and Covid on the front pages. So while Democrats are up-in-arms (pun intended) over the fact that their sanctioned killing of babies in the womb has been dealt a not unexpected blow with the SCOTUS' overturning of Roe v. Wade, Covid fear-mongering lingers on as Joe Biden, the man who just a year ago said, “You’re not gonna get Covid if you get the shots,” has (as I write this) Covid himself. Quite telling I'd say as “our bodies ourselves” in liberal-speak matters only when the killing of unborn babies is involved while the willingly “unjabbed” (like me) still remain healthy and Covid free. 

Now, as if on cue, enter Monkey Pox...the newest disease de jour...what with Covid scare tactics starting to wane.

And as for Biden's ongoing foreign policy disasters...of which I will highlight but a few...we must start with his foolishly ordered unilateral Afghanistan withdrawal that never should have been, most especially under what was then the current circumstances that presented in the country. Seeing the Taliban now winning the war that we should never have lost, left our troops returning home to find that it was more important for our military to become “woke” than anything else. What a sad commentary our men and women in uniform were now forced to face.

But Biden's forcing the leaving behind of millions of dollars of military equipment in what was a hastily conceived exit...an exit where the enemy dictated the timeline...led not only to a still ongoing humanitarian crisis, escalating starvation, and Afghanistan's general economic collapse...but to our arms being used against the very people we once proudly helped free. And not only does the media give little lip-service to this, but this only compounds the damage already done by Obama's “hearts and minds” directives...proving Joe Biden to be anything but a true commander-in-chief let alone one who is respected by both the military and we civilians alike.

And then there's Biden's recent trip to Israel, the Palestinian territories, and Saudi Arabia where in Israel he stated that he and his administration “won’t wait forever to get back into the (nuclear) deal.” In trying to placate Iran, Biden not only stabbed Israel in the back, but the self-called “messenger of peace” spoke out of both sides of his mouth when announcing America's “firm support” for Israel and that we would “ensure Israel’s military security” if Iran did obtain nuclear weapons. Empty words spoken for Biden then met with Palestinian leaders and announced a new $235 million aid package for the Palestinians, the very folks aligned with, financed by, and who receive the bulk of their weapons courtesy of Iran. And to add insult to injury, Biden repeated his support for a “two-state” solution ignoring the fact that the so-called Palestinians already have a homeland...it's called Jordan...proving that all Biden did while in Israel was to again channel his inner Obama.

Then it was on to Saudi Arabia to beg the Saudis to produce more oil. Unfortunately, the highlight of Biden's trip to Riyadh was a disrespectful “fist pump” with Saudi Prince and future King Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, who in effect is already Saudi Arabia's leader. And while no serious one-on-one oil negotiations took place between the two men Biden did promise...with fingers crossed behind his back no doubt...to “reconsider the decision to ban the sale of offensive armaments to Saudi Arabia.” And know this most likely will not happen what with Saudi Arabia now forging relationships with Israel as they share and must keep in check their common enemy, Iran. Simply, Biden’s attempt to cozy up to the Saudis has proven to be an embarrassment for our country as it has done nothing to ease let alone undo Biden and the Democrat's self-inflicted energy crisis.

And also not to be forgotten is Ukraine, a still ongoing foreign policy disaster for Joe Biden, what with the sum total of promised U.S. aid in regards to much needed equipment still not reaching Ukrainian hands out of fear of Russian reprisal. So while Zelensky and his loyalists continue their fight against Putin's forces, Biden shows weakness in not only his fear, but in his lackadaisical attitude towards Vlodimir Zelinsky himself, a man who has more courage in his little pinkie than Biden has in his whole body. But then again Ukraine is a sore point for both the "big guy" and his son Hunter, and blood always proves thinker than water...blankets anyone?

And lastly dare I not mention the misnomer known as Biden's “climate change” agenda...which in reality is but the “weather.” Remember, recorded human history itself has shown that the seasons run and will continue to run in cycles with summers always being hot while winters will always be cold...after all “Mother Nature” herself cannot ever be changed. And why do I now list “climate change” as a Biden foreign not domestic policy disaster...because what is now called  “climate change”...remember it was first called “global warming” then “global cooling”...is a key part of the globalist “Green Energy” agenda. And not only does Biden's “Green Energy” policies signal trouble here at home...both cost and common sense wise...but they do so on a global scale as well for failures here at home do tend to echo world wide.

And Biden's only success, if you can call it that, in all these aforementioned disasters is that he has allowed himself to become the willing puppet by which the left...by which Obama himself...can still openly try to destroy our beloved America. And Biden is oblivious to it all, after all, fools rarely know they are fools for the spotlight blinds them to the truth.

 And so reality continues on as my escapism and vacation time is now sadly over.

Why Gun Control Laws Don't Work

Uvalde, Texas...a name not soon forgotten...for it was here at Robb Elementary School where a lone gunman murdered 19 children and two adults. A bloodbath that should not have happened leaves enough blame to go around so as to encompass the whole of the left's anti-gun, anti-police agenda. 

Ban guns, ban assault rifles, ban any and all firearms...repeal the Second Amendment...place “Gun Free Zone” signs any and everywhere...this is the left's answer to everything gun related as is the “Defund the Police” movement...a movement to replace police officers with community do-gooders who think that hugging someone is the answer to rising crime statistics.  

But first, regarding guns and so-called “assault rifles,” know that no amount of banning, repealing, or signage placed will stop someone hellbent on killing innocent folks. And know that nothing will stop firearms from being bought “under the table” nor will anything stop the media driven, politically generated notion that it's guns that kill people instead of accepting as fact that “guns do not kill people, people kill people.” And until those eight words become the reality of truth, America will still bear witness to gun violence being committed against innocent and defenseless persons...children assuredly amongst them for nothing feeds into the left's anti-gun narrative more than the death of children. 

But before we get into the actual logistics of why gun violence now seems to be happening on a somewhat routine basis, we first need to identify not only its root cause, but how gun violence itself is being used as part of the left's plan to bring America to her knees. 

And here let's begin by saying that history has shown that while a modicum of violence has always surfaced even in the most civilized of societies, the end of violence usually occurs when the root cause...read person here...is exposed. And with violence seemingly being America's new norm, we believe that root cause can be summed up in but three words, Barack HUSSEIN Obama...the man who with a simple sentence said set America on the violent course we see happening today. 

“If I had a son he'd look like Trayvon Martin,” set all that was to follow into motion for with those words spoken back on March 23, 2012, Obama single-handily turned criminals into victims and victims into criminals, thus allowing the entire narrative to be driven by his self-perceived racism alone, especially when the criminal is a young black man and the victim(s) is white. And if by chance a young black man was shot by a white officer while in the process of committing a criminal act, said officer always seems to be found guilty in the “court of public opinion” even before all evidence is gathered or a trial has taken place.

And sadly, our judicial system seems more than willing to play along. Facts and evidence, even confessions, no longer seem to matter for those ten words of Obama's set America on its current course to where so-called “identity politics” regarding both the color of one's skin and/or the badge one carries becomes the deciding factor in all that is to follow. 

And so began not only an increase in gun violence, but the violence itself gave birth to the claim that America is an inherently racist country with a bias against black people built into both our judicial and law enforcement systems. A once healing racial divide now saw it's scab being ripped open to bleed once again by a man so inherently racist against his own white half that his goal became to leave America weaker and more racially divided than ever before. And in that he succeeded not only with his laying the foundation to use against our constitutionally given Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, but in his knowing that firearms would then become the sole purveyor of those wishing to do bodily harm. But it doesn't end there for with his words spoken Obama, we believe, allowed domestic terrorist groups...groups like Black Lives Matter and Antifa...to help set both law enforcement policy and its tangible outcome. 

Simply, Barack HUSSEIN Obama with his words regarding Trayvon Martin coupled with his politically driven call for a “Fundamental Transformation” of America, in our opinion, started the downward spiral where mass school shootings like those in Newtown, Connecticut:, Parkland, Florida; Blacksburg, Virginia; and now Uvalde, Texas have become the fuel needed by the left to not only call for even more gun control laws, but to give credence...as erroneous as it might be...to the call for the repeal of the Second Amendment, which if repealed would leave America's firearm owners open to criminal charges.  

And Obama's goal of “fundamentally transforming” America into a socialist nation will have been reached leaving “We the People” unarmed...thanks to his setting the stage for where new gun control laws passed would reign supreme...an America devoid of freedom where the Constitution itself has been rendered into but an antiquated piece of useless paper. 

So while Obama did indeed lay the groundwork for the racial end of what has manifested in rampant, unchecked violence with his absurd words regarding Treyvon Martin, a statement clearly meant to set race relations back some 50 years, we also believe the roots of what we’re seeing today go even deeper than just the racial aspect of the violence. 

Back in 1990, the sweeping “Crime Control Act” was passed. That legislation was sponsored by none other than Joe Biden when he was but a gaffe-prone senator. His “Crime Control Act” was an amalgam of many smaller bills that became packaged together. And one of those smaller bills, sponsored by Democrat Senators Herb Kohl from Wisconsin and Dennis DeConcini from Arizona, was the “Gun Free Zone Act,” and five years later in 1995, Senator Herb Kohl also sponsored the “Gun Free School Zone Act.” 

The “Gun Free School Zone Act” prohibits guns that have been part of interstate commerce within 1,000 feet of a school, thus providing the federal government jurisdiction over firearms in a way that adheres to the Constitution and sneakily allows the federal government to possibly make criminals out of perfectly law-abiding citizens who might own a gun and live within that 1,000 foot radius of a school. Make no mistake, “Gun Free Zones” and “Gun Free School Zones” were never designed to stop criminals from committing murderous rampages, they were instead designed to leverage more power to the federal government as a way to infringe upon the Second Amendment as part of the liberal agenda, with “Gun Free Zones” also creating an even bigger problem than the liberals who sponsored them claimed they would fix. 

To average law-abiding citizens, “Gun Free Zones” seem like safe places because the law says nobody within the zone is allowed to have a gun, but to the criminal element, to those hell-bent on murdering as many people as possible in as short a time frame as possible, “gun free” means “target rich.” Those with mass murder in mind know full-well that within a “Gun Free Zone” they will not be challenged by any law-abiding gun owner, and they will have the cushion of time before police arrive to stop them. The murderer literally knows that they can carry out their crimes with impunity for a time to create maximum impact and death before they are challenged by a good guy with a weapon. 

The numbers prove what we’re saying here. In fact, since 1988 more than 85% of all mass shootings, shootings where four or more people were killed not including the gunman, more than 85% of those shootings have taken place in a “Gun Free Zone.” To put it another way, more than 85% of mass shootings in the U.S. since 1988 have taken place in a “target rich” zone. 

Former Texas Congresswoman Suzanna Gratia Hupp survived a “target rich” zone shooting at Luby’s Restaurant in Killeen, Texas in 1991. Hupp was there having lunch with her parents when a gunman came into the establishment, which had a sign on the door reading “Gun Free Zone.” Twenty three people died in Luby’s that day, and two of them were Hupp’s parents. Hupp herself was a gun owner, but she was also a law-abiding citizen, and knowing she was entering a “gun free” but “target rich” zone she left her weapon in her car...100 yards away. 

Columbine High School was a “Gun Free, Target Rich Zone.” So, too, were Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, Marjorie Stoneman Douglas, and so many others including Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. According to the National Review, since 1950, “all but two public mass shootings in America have taken place where general citizens are banned from carrying guns. In Europe, there have been no exceptions. Every mass public shooting...and there have been plenty of mass shootings in Europe...has occurred in a gun-free zone. In addition, they have had three of the six worst K–12 school shootings, and Europe experienced by far the worst mass public shooting perpetrated by a single individual.” (Norway in 2011, which from the shooting alone left 67 people dead and 110 wounded.)*

So when one looks at the numbers, which we have, one can clearly see that “Gun Free Zones” are a massive and deadly failure, yet nobody in Congress seems to want to admit to the deadly mistake or even try to reverse that mistake. In fact, elected liberals only want to compound their mistake by making it harder, if not impossible, for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves or others by passing more and more restrictions on gun ownership, thus further infringing upon our Second Amendment. In short, they’re blaming the gun and not the actual murderer. 

Now as for specifics regarding the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School, know that said shooting did not have to happen nor did 21 innocent lives have to lost if only the Uvalde Police Department had done its job. And know that as staunch supporters of those in “blue,” this is not an allegation we make lightly what with facts now being disclosed proving that gross negligence was indeed committed when police arrived on scene, and that an attempt was made to if not cover it up, to at least temper down the rightfully angry rhetoric. So at Uvalde's Mayor Don McLaughlin's request, the search for the truth now sees the Justice Department's Office of Community Policing Services conducting a review into how the Uvalde Police Department...who, as we write this, is no longer cooperating with the DOJ...coupled with the actual officers on scene both mishandled and then released false information regarding the then happenings in progress. 

But first we must examine the actual time line of events in order to better understand both the outcome of the events in progress and exactly why an official investigation into both actions and inactions taken has begun. 

According to Steven McCraw, the Director of Texas Department of Public Safety, the time line of happenings, which we are paraphrasing in our own words, basically reads as follows: 

• 11:27: The exterior door where soon to be murderer Salvador Ramos entered the school was propped open by a teacher, but no one is exactly sure why. 

• 11:28: Ramos crashed the vehicle he was driving into a ditch near the school. Upon hearing the crash, a teacher ran to to get her phone then ran back to the open door to call the police. At this point, two males at a nearby funeral home approached the crash scene to see if anyone was hurt and needed help, but they ran from the accident scene when an uninjured Ramos emerged from the car and began shooting at them. Hearing the shots the same teacher then called 911 from inside the school and said a man was running about shooting a gun. 

• 11:31: Ramos, now on foot, reaches the school parking lot and begins shooting at the school building itself while patrol vehicles begin arriving at the funeral home. 

And here is what we call Critical Point One. With the funeral home being quite near to the school, the teacher standing by the open door...which we have since found out had a lock that did not work...was able to see Ramos running with a gun, shooting at those trying to offer help, and then start shooting at the school building. And yet this teacher... who has now "lawyered up"...did not close the open school door which remained open for another four minutes, thus allowing Ramos to gain entry and massacre 21 people. 

• 11:33: Ramos enters the school and begins shooting into what is either room 111 or room 112, firing off more than 100 rounds.  
  

• 11:35: Three Uvalde police officers now enter the school via the still opened door. By this time another four officers and a deputy sheriff have arrived on scene allowing the first three officers to try closing the door with two of them being “grazed” by bullets while doing so. 

Critical Point Two: By now 100 shots had been fired into the classroom where Ramos had barricaded himself and yet the police were still doing nothing to engage nor stop him.  

• 11:37: Ramos fires off yet another 16 rounds inside the classroom.  
  

• 11:51: More officers arrive on scene as do U.S. Border Patrol agents.  
  

• 12:03: By now as many as 19 officers were gathered in the school's hallway basically standing around doing nothing. 

Critical Point Three: Sad to say but these officers stood around not even trying to see if, at this point, the 116 shots already fired had injured or killed anyone. And why...because these officers were apparently told by Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Police Chief Pete Arredondo not to engage with the shooter because it was believed that with Ramos now barricaded inside a classroom that he was no longer a threat to the children...simply that the scene was no longer “active.” Unbeknownst to them 19 children and two teachers already lay dead because of not only a wrong, ever so misguided judgment call, but because of what we believe to be cowardliness on the part of the unshielded officers who feared for their own lives. 

• 12:15: A Border Patrol tactical team arrives with body shields.   
  

• 12:21: Ramos fires even more shots this time at the classroom door leading to the hallway. Finally, a full 88 minutes after Ramos fired the first shots while barricaded in the classroom, police officers move down the hallway to the classroom, but it would still be another 30 minutes before they entered the classroom.  
  

• 12:50: Officers secured a set of keys from a janitor, unlocked the classroom door, and a Border Patrol Agent kills Ramos.

Critical Point Four: And the truth slowly started to leak out forcing authorities to admit that students and teachers inside the school along with parents who had gathered outside the school, had repeatedly called and “begged” 911 operators and those few police already on scene for help both before and after Police Chief Arredondo told the officers to basically “stand down.”

 

And when this scenario finally reached the public discourse not only were the victims families grief compounded but new concerns were raised that eventually led to the Justice Department getting involved, with their question being, “Could lives have been saved if officers had acted quickly to stop Ramos' rampage?” Logic alone should tell you...yes. 

So, the question now becomes, as it always does, will more laws prevent the next mass murder event from taking place, and to find an answer we must look at the responses to such horrific events. Liberals have a set agenda and a large part of that agenda is to eliminate the Second Amendment. Liberals no longer care to give time for families to grieve the loss of loved ones, and have taken over the past decade to immediately before the smoke even clears, make mass murders in public places political.  

Instead, they blame the guns. 

Since at least 1991, and the shooting at Luby’s in Killeen, Texas, liberals have consistently blamed the gun and their answer is always more anti-gun laws because anti-gun is liberal cover for anti-Second Amendment.  

Liberals want to make it harder for people to purchase guns, but we already have background checks and waiting periods for most gun purchases. We already have laws preventing felons from purchasing or being in possession of guns. Are those laws working to prevent murderous criminals from possessing guns? No. While such laws inhibit law-abiding citizens from gun ownership, criminals don’t care about laws. More to the point, law-abiding citizens don’t carry in “Gun-Free Zones.” Criminals do. 

Liberals also make a habit of denouncing certain guns or magazines before the smoke clears, often calling an AR-15 a “weapon of war.” The AR style rifle fires a .223 round and if you ask any combat veteran if such a gun is a weapon of war, they will simply laugh at you. Liberals also want you to believe that an AR-15 is the same as an automatic weapon, but clearly it isn’t. An AR-15 will only fire as fast as you can repeatedly pull the trigger, while a true weapon of war, the M-4 will fire in burst or full-auto mode simply by holding the trigger back. That’s a substantial difference. Liberals use “assault rifle” as a catch-all phrase and hope you don’t know the difference, but the definition of an “assault rifle” is “a military firearm that is chambered for ammunition of reduced size or propellant charge and that has the capacity to switch between semiautomatic and fully automatic fire.” That is not an AR-15.   

Full-auto firearms are legal, they are very difficult to get, and even with a Federal Firearms License (FFL) certain specific criteria must be met. For a non-FFL holder only old machine guns (over 35 years old) may be purchased and the cost will set you back roughly $15,000, plus you’ll have to wait a year or more for the transfer via an ATF Form 4. To be clear, fully automatics are not being used by the ilk of shooters such as the one at Robb Elementary School. 

So, what sort of guns are the most often used in murderous rampages? In the majority of mass shootings 56% of the murderers use a handgun. In fact, in only 13% of such rampages is a rifle used. If criminals adhered to the law, and a law was passed to ban AR-15’s, it would only prevent 13% of all mass murders. Next, we need to look at homicides as a whole, and there we find that only 0.1% of all homicides are mass shootings. Liberals would also have you believe that mass shootings are nearly exclusively an American issue, but that too is false. While the U.S. accounts for 4.6% of the world population, only 1.43% of all mass shootings worldwide are committed in the U.S. 

Here’s another fact liberals don’t want you to know about...as per the Pew Research Center gun related murder numbers in the U.S. are lower today than in the 1970s. There were 4.6 gun murders per 100,000 people in 2017, far below the 6.2 recorded in 1976, and mass public shootings are the rarest of all gun related murders.

Finally, liberals blame the Second Amendment and there is a distinct reason for that part of their agenda. It becomes very problematic for a tyrannical government to rule over the people if the people are armed. On the other hand, an unarmed populous is an easy target. It’s not that liberals don’t know that, it’s that they do know it and that’s exactly why they take immediate advantage of people’s raw emotions in the aftermath of a tragic event like a mass public shooting to try and advance their unconstitutional agenda, not to protect people’s lives, but to enhance their power over the people. 

Eighteenth century criminologist Cesare Beccaria said of laws meant to disarm the public, “They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." 

Thomas Jefferson said of the right to keep and bear arms, "I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery," and in his First Annual Address to both Houses of Congress in 1790, a year before the Second Amendment was ratified, George Washington said, "A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined..." 

Brought about by Obama’s championing of criminals over the police, in concert with “Gun Free Zones,” hesitancy by law enforcement to act quickly and decisively due to manufactured public outrage and liberal policies that place said outrage and criminal behavior above law and order values, what we have here btoday is not a gun problem, but a discipline problem…a societal problem…and neither legislation nor more liberal policies can fix the problems liberals and their policies have created. 

 

Remember, any gun is only as dangerous as the person that is holding it...and that's the real bottom line.
